So slow and the staff just seemed to be faffing around. 4 staff and I waited 10 mins to place my order. Wasn’t v busy either. May try again as it’s local but otherwise we will go elsewhere

The staff are helpful and reasonably friendly so no complaints there. However, Costa should remove their breakfast wrap from the menu, it is absolutely awful and certainly not worth the money. Wouldn’t give this wrap to my dog it’s that bad.

Customer service is not high on the list here. Turned up around 7pm with my elderly mother for coffee and a cake. One guy was cleaning the floor, one guy was serving the drive-through and a young lady was, I think, on her break. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting to at least be acknowledged and maybe for someone to say, 'be with you in a minute or so, why don't you sit down and I'll come over when I am free'. No chance! the guy cleaning just ignored us although he knew we were standing there, the guy serving the drive through turned and saw us when he went to make a coffee, and ignored us, and the young lady on her break came from some room stage left, poured some juice into her flask, grimaced at us, then turned her back and walked away. If this was my business and I had a Greggs, a Starbucks, and a Dunkin' Donuts all within walking distance I would sack all of them. Good coffee is important but atmosphere and service have a greater impact. To see people stood at the counter and completely ignore them is unforgivable in a business like this that relies on the feelgood factor. Suffice to say we left and went to Starbucks. On the way out, the guy serving the drive-through looked at us in amazement. I genuinely don't think he knew why we were leaving. Another reason to get rid! My advice? Give it a miss until they get their act together and some new staff.

I called in around 12 today and used the drive through. All I wanted was a large tea and when I asked for it, the response I got back through the speaker was "You do know this is a coffee shop?" I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and presume it was an attempt at humour/banter but I found myself justifying why I wanted a tea, until the voice responded "Well go on then." When I got to the service window, the gent continued with more of the same. Told me I could have what I wanted but couldn't understand why people would come to a coffee shop and order tea. I found myself feeling I needed to defend my tea choice again. I responded outwardly with an attempt at 'banter' but felt pretty uncomfortable. While I shouldn't have to offer an explanation as to why I was trying to buy something from the menu, in this case I will and maybe something can be learnt from it. If I'm calling at Costa for a cup of tea, there is a high probability that my day has been chaotic to the degree I haven't had the time to make one for myself. Today was one of those days. I had just left a funeral directors having paid respects to my deceased relative. With an hour of driving in front of me, miserable weather and knowing I had a heavy afternoon trying to help a friend suffering with their mental health, call me British, but I wanted a cup of tea to make things feel better. That I'm still mulling this over hours later probably indicates how much better it made me feel. Maybe a heavy day has made me overly sensitive. As I said, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and presume it was an attempt at banter and not an inherent hatred of tea but either way, I'll certainly think twice about calling in again if I'm expected to justify my selection from the menu.

Had a business meeting and opted for this newly opened branch. First impressions were good though the service was slow. I ordered an Earl Grry tea and when the young man finally got round to making my brew he filled the tea pot to almost over flowing I requested him to pour some out as it would spill over carrying it to which he grunted an inaudible reply. I then found an un used table and settled down when I noticed loads of stains on the surface obviously not cleaned and sanitised from the previous occupant. Not wanting to make a fuss I asked for some serviettes to wipe my table thinking they would clean it properly but no I was grandad two tiny serviettes and did it myself. This is not the usual standard for Costa coffee

Having visited a few times before, today really ranked low in terms of efficiency. Despite there being multiple staff behind the counter, it took an exceedingly long time to get drinks made. I'd ordered a hot sandwich, and that came but then the drink was so long in coming, the food was chilling, by the time it arrived. We ate, and then I went to order another drink. Again, the wait time was extremely long. The staff were very slow in making the drinks, and also I observed that other customers had ordered, and their drinks were not correct, ie missing cream/cream when wasn't asked for/wrong syrup. Observed that when a customer pointed out their drink was missing something, the server simply said oh sorry, I can't amend that. Glad I wasn't in a hurry, today!

went here the other day and it was absolutely disgusting. staff were rude and managers were worse. food was awful and the whole time i just heard yelling from the kitchen. this place just needs to give up.

Poor experience at breakfast. Overcharged, order came wrong and drinks machines either out of order or not delivering drinks properly. We travel around using Wetherspoons regularly and have found this branch to be the worst yet.

We went out for a birthday dinner to the lemon tree and we had the best experience. The food was absolutely amazing and reasonable prices for the portion sizes. The staff were lovely and sang happy birthday and the restaurant was very good hygiene. I would recommend this to friends and i had an amazing night.
