I don’t understand the negative reviews And people complaining about cost of a coffee The Sale Branch dose not set the price of coffee or snacks sold Cost do that ! We stopped going into this Costa when previous management were there as they were rude and cleanliness of tea pots were disgusting when we complained the Old manager said and I quote I would not come in here also !! The NEW MANAGER and staff are a breath of fresh air they treat every customer as though they are the only customer very welcoming and the shop is now very clean so wats not to like Great New team , great SERVICE and served with a welcoming smile Thank you to the NEW MANAGER and staff for putting things right

It’s now four quid for a cup of average coffee yet the single toilet is filthy and there no running water in the toilet to wash your hands as the single tap is broken. I looked for hand sanitizer at the counter but none available. The staff aren’t friendly rather perfunctory and as likely low waged don’t much care and I don’t blame them. Take the money make the coffee job done. It is not at all acceptable for a corporate business like this to do business in this way. They must have maintenance folks on the payroll and a bottle of sanitiser won’t bankrupt them.

Terrible Manager North Petherton Carnival Way (Bridgwater): Rude - Terrible service from the Manager!! Not sure why they make her a Manager when she doesn't have any management skills nor customer service skills at all ! Thats the problem when you make young girls without any experience Managers.. big mistake! She has quite an attitude towards customers incl me and also lots of people waiting with only 2 staff for drive through & shop together and she didn't even bother to help out, she was hiding in her office. Better to go somewhere else as you just walk out angry & disappointed 🤨 https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g504115-d14377228-r952965916-Costa_Coffee-Bridgwater_Somerset_England.html#

Have just recently started going back into the costa at Sale and I’m so glad I did. Jennifer the new manager has turned the place around. She is brilliant! She is friendly, chatty and interacts with every single customer. Jarrod is great too and when they are both in together the atmosphere is great. I often sit and chuckle to myself. I like the fact that Jennifer is always looking for things to do in between serving, she cleans, makes sure everything is spot on, involves staff and talks to her staff with great respect. Honestly the place is great. Before the atmosphere was dull and the place was filthy. Jennifer has really turned this place around and should be recognised on all her hard work.

Ask what items in a cake staff didn’t know as I don’t like certain things and when I got outside it had them in and presentation wasn’t good and it was placed in a paper bag and not a half box it was my first time in there today staff was pleasant

I hadn't been in for a couple of months, they seem to have changed the staff completely. The new staff are much kinder unlike the old staff. My drinks were seemingly made with care and a smile. With a lovely small talk while I waited for my drinks. I will definitely be coming back in to this store more often now.

The manager and some staff members extremely rude. I am a very frequent user of Costa shops. The Sale store is the worst I have had the misfortune to use. They have managed to make me question my product loyalty.

This place has a convenient location but it’s very grubby and the manager seems to have some sort of mental disorder. Be warned.

Had a couple of coffees and an expensive cup cake.Because I had a birthday treat, I went to open up the app and it wouldn't let me. I have sent several emails to try and remedy the login issues, but to no avail.

We visit Costa every day to enjoy a drink and snack we have visited the Sale Costa on more occasions than we care to remember and have complained many times about the state of cleanliness of the tea pots absolutely filthy !!! On latest visit I again pointed out to the manager the filthy state of the tea pots I said they are filthy and he said yes and I would not come in here !!! I replied neither would I would not come in !! How can Costa allow this type of service and extremely poor hygiene not to mention the managers could not care less attitude . We will no longer support this establishment and our family and friends are also boycotting this outlet .

5 of us in a queue, muscle man with glasses serving. He seemed very stressed out. Took over 10 minutes to order, asked for my panini to be in but coffee to go as I have to leave as soon I have eaten. However, coffee came in a mug and I asked quite politely if he could put it in a take away cup and he actually sighed at me and said “you should have said that in the first place”. Rude. I wasn’t the only one he snapped at either as a woman asked him about the difference of a couple of drinks and he told her to read the menu. Clearly not getting what she asked. When sat down I had to go collect my food from the counter. Which I didn’t mind, but a first from any Costa I’ve visited. Also noticed him snapping at some others too. Think the manager needs to hire better staff.

Visited Costa this morning for a bacon bap and a coffee, the staff were lovely but the state of the place was filthy, the tables hadn't been wiped down and the floors were filthy, didn't look like they had been swept or mopped for a while, shame because the staff are always polite and friendly.

We called in for good coffee and welcoming, friendly service on December 26, St Stephen’s Day. It was, thankfully, warm in the cafe. Very few shops were open in town and we were out for a walk in cold, damp Greater Manchester. It’s all very deceptive really; fairly good coffees, lots of cakes and fancies inside cosy surroundings, just so beguilingly calm and peaceful. We think we are in a modern first - world country with a high income economy 18th in the Human Development Index domain. Nope as reality is dawning darn fast that it’s all being systematically destroyed by right wing nut jobs. Less rich countries are far higher in the index. So we must be ever conscious to try to take care of our health as we know that courtesy of the current right wing lunatics in office here (not in power) we have no safe healthcare to rely on. It’s easy to get coffee and cake but nigh on impossible to see your doctor but rustle up £75 and a private doctor (trained by the NHS) will see you immediately. As for NHS dentists we’ll soon have more pandas in the UK. If we dial 999 chances are no one will come or take 10 hours to do so - we might be picked up faster if we lie on a main road. Living near Windsor may help. Even if/when the do, we could be 12 hours in an ambulance and another two days waiting for a hospital bed or die unnoticed in an overcrowded hospital corridor or hospital car park. This is the real price of health privatisation over 10 years by deceit and stealth. St Stephen, whom the day is named after, was a Christian deacon in Jerusalem and was the first Christian martyr. He was known for his service to the poor. He was stoned to death in AD 36. According to an Irish myth, it was a wren that betrayed St Stephen while he was hiding from his enemies, leading to his eventual demise. English folks know it instead as Boxing Day when Edwardian and Victorian rich boxed up the gifts they didn’t want to give to the poor. The crumbs from their tables. Not much changes here in old Blighty but these days the crumbs from the tables of the super rich sure are fewer and the poor instead are not helped but demonised like the sick for being so with the apparatus of this State weaponised against them over the last 10 years. If you are in the House of Lords and want a 10 billion pound contract for PPE and pay no tax it’s easy. If you want a State benefit then fill in a 40 page form, wait 6 months and hope against hope for the best. I really must stop musing over good coffee. God save the King?

Nothing wrong with the coffee but let’s say the servers were far more interested in each other than the customer 😂. Then I found the cleanest table I could but it was next to 2 or 3 very messy ones with spilt drinks all over the table and floor. I just assumed it would be cleared up but I was there almost two hours and there were still things dripping off the sofa and all over the wooden floors and table bases. Idk, I just think If a tourist were to come to Sale and visit this coffee shop I’d be so embarrassed 🙈.

Ok so I shifted to here from the Coffee House as it’s so darn easy to get points via their app. Maybe I’m not doing it right but I can’t get CH app to work for me. The app is Yoyo and I don’t get it. In another first I actually successfully ordered my cold drinks and coffees on the Costa app and it was much easier than queuing up as the staff just got in with it. I got a fabulous flat white and my wife had a great cappuccino. The staff were ace friendly and we sat inside enjoying the air con and the low level music. Many places play the piped music far too loud. What I really liked was that with the soft drinks servers just put up glasses filled with ice with no need to ask. When I asked for a glass of tap water and ice it was no problem. What was a problem here is common to see now - lots of dirty dishes sitting on tables when these should be cleaned away promptly. It really is a bad look. Since Starbucks charged me 5p for tap water (for the plastic cup) Portsmouth England two weeks ago when they had dozens of ceramic cups I’ve not returned so today I spent £12.55 here that would normally have gone to Starbucks. Disloyalty doesn’t pay in the long run.

By far the best chippy around. The fish is always cooked to perfection, crispy batter and fluffy fish. The chips are just like my mum makes, crispy and full of flavour. This chippy does everything from traditional fish and chips and pies to tasty Greek gyros and salt and pepper dishes. The team are so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and nothing is too much trouble. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
