Costa Coffee in Newport

Absolutely stinking and the car parking is appalling. Two massive island curbs you have to avoid smashing into while getting out the car park

Everyone was very friendly, coffee was a little burnt but i think the lad was still training so i asked if they could be remade and they did no questions asked. Good service

Went in here yesterday as i needed to make a pit stop as my baby needed feeding so thought would stop and have a rest from my xmas shopping, feed the baby and have a hot drink. OMG never again what a state the place was in dirty plates and cups all over the tables. Tables not wiped down & very slow service waited a long while to get served then when finally got served the drinks were terrible. Hot chocolate did not taste like hot chocolate very watery and tasted salty. I would not recommend this place as it's over priced for what you get. I would never go in here again!!

Unfortunately Costa didn't live up to their name this time I went in today and asked if I could us a voucher for a free drink I had from Vodafone so went in and the stinking look I got when I asked to use it then I politely asked what I could get with the voucher the woman behind the counter seems so fed up and couldn't wait to get rid of me I asked if I could pay the difference and get a large one her reply was simply 'Ye it will be extra anyway' there was no customer service at all she like she just wanted me gone so she could serve the next person no 'what size would you like' but simply asking the next person 'What size' and not in a nice way don't think I'll be returning not when there are other independent coffee shops locally that actually give great customer service with a smile.

When I got to the till the staff we very cheery and welcoming. I asked the lady about the flavour of the bonfire syrup and she gave me a sample to try which I thought was very helpful. Upon liking this I proceeded to order a bonfire hot chocolate which was wonderful. The flavours are very comforting and remind me of the autumn and definitely give off bonfire vibes! The only thing I would say is the drinks get cold quickly so I’ll probably order it extra hot next time. I find this store can have a lot of dishes on the tables and no regular floor checks but when the lady came round to do a floor check she was kind enough to offer to wipe my table over.

My mother has just informed me of the way she was treated at this establishment and she thinks the tall person concerned was possibly a manager. My mother who can’t walk far asked politely if they could call her a taxi and the worker refused saying he wasn’t a taxi service. This upset my mother who can’t walk far and has a disabled husband in hospital. Shame on you !!!
