Food was pretty good to be fair. It was well cooked and good value. The service was polite and friendly but clearly to atmosphere was lacking a bit. It’s a supermarket in fairness so you get what you pay for in that sense. Overall though, would certainly go again.

Basic as you would expect for an Asda cafe. Quite nice Sausage Bap at £2. Thought the serve yourself large coffee at £2.25 was overpriced and not very good. Uncomfortable chairs too!

I live in Abertillery, but I prefer to shop in the Rogerston Morrison than Ebbw vale. The staff are much more knowledgeable and helpful, especially the young man on the butchery counter, he's cut and stuffed 2 pork joints in recent weeks, they didn't even offer in Ebbw vale.

So delicious. Been ordering from Lilo's for about 10 years now, the food is always incredible, fresh and flavourful.

Very disappointed, we have been here many times over the last couple of years, it is convenient to the hotel next door, so last week we booked a family table again. This time the food was very poor, the battered fish and chip came out as breaded fish, not battered as per the menu, it was very dry and tasteless, the gammon was tough and needed a steak knife to cut. My Hunters chicken tasted nice but the side salad of lettuce was brown and rather pointless. In ALL cases the 'triple cooked chips' were just cheap out of a freezer chips, under cooked and NOT triple cooked. Avoid this place!!

Normally when visiting Newport for training at the velodrome I stop at another coffee house but for the last few weeks the training sessions have been earlier, and the normal place has been shut. The staff have been pleasant, and the coffee was nice… I did have a toasted teacake with jam on one occasion, but the jam was far to sugary… Next week I think we'll try the place next door and see how that is, but all in all a reasonable place for a coffee and I would go back. Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting. I hope this review was of help, please consider following my travels & reviews in the autumn of my life.
