Food was pretty good to be fair. It was well cooked and good value. The service was polite and friendly but clearly to atmosphere was lacking a bit. It’s a supermarket in fairness so you get what you pay for in that sense. Overall though, would certainly go again.

Basic as you would expect for an Asda cafe. Quite nice Sausage Bap at £2. Thought the serve yourself large coffee at £2.25 was overpriced and not very good. Uncomfortable chairs too!

Called in for dinner this evening. The staff were so lovely and the food was absolutely amazing! The portions were really generous, the meal actually beat me and my daughter but we were able to box it up and take it home! I've included a photo of my meal as it looked beautiful and yes, it tasted as good as it looked! My daughter tried one of their juice drinks, which are actually freshly prepared, she loved it. We will definitely be returning for dinner soon. Thank you!

Firstly I would like to say that the staff are very friendly. However, the food was sub standard. The chips were inedible. Very overdone and devoid of any potato. The beef brisket sandwich very small and bland. The signature burger again overdone and not worth the money. A few pence less than a burger at The Grill at The Celtic Manor which was superb. To top it off my grandson was sick after having the children’s sausage and chips. Didn’t expect anything more than pub chain food but this was very poor. This place has sadly gone downhill.

Normally when visiting Newport for training at the velodrome I stop at another coffee house but for the last few weeks the training sessions have been earlier, and the normal place has been shut. The staff have been pleasant, and the coffee was nice… I did have a toasted teacake with jam on one occasion, but the jam was far to sugary… Next week I think we'll try the place next door and see how that is, but all in all a reasonable place for a coffee and I would go back. Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting. I hope this review was of help, please consider following my travels & reviews in the autumn of my life.
