Costa Coffee in Dartford

We have been using this Costa since it came to Bluewater but the last couple of visits have been a total let down. Coffee (lattes) today were horrible. I am sure milk had bern watered down - my Panini was medicore at best and would have bermen more palatable with salt and pepper plus £2.85 for a small Bakewell Tart is a total joke. Sorry Costa Bluewater goodbye

I made a pit stop here with a friend. This branch is always very busy. The décor and set up is rather like a school dinner hall. Although our drinks were made quickly there was no semi skimmed milk available which alters the taste of your drink. Our tea was rather stewed and strong. I do love a Costa but much prefer another local branch with a more homely feel.

This is the second time here in the past month. The first time my latte tasted only of milk. I complained and they made another which was slightly better. On this visit I waited 15 minutes but the same result. They said they would make another but after yet another 7 minutes I demanded a refund. Is this a way of cutting costs by using cheap of less coffee? The barista was alone whilst the queue built up and his colleague just shuffled a long queue of paper orders when she could have been helping. Do yourself a favour and walk 50 yards to coffee Republic. The coffee and service is much better and the price is a lot less.

I visited Costa Bluewater and didn’t mind spending the ridiculous prices because I felt local cafe needed my custom. They appeared liked they cared, but i asked for a Costa card, but she didn’t give me one. I also witnessed the staff look for plastic utensils for me to take away. Couldn’t find what she needed, took a plastic spoon from somewhere near the sink, washed it, dried it, and put it in my bag with my cake. So disgusting! No I didn’t use it. I took it right back out of the bag and left it there. The hot chocolate was lukewarm, the 4.50 toastie was nothing to write home about, and quite frankly, after that hygienic lacking service; I wouldn’t be going there again. If I get ill after today; you know very well why. Appalling!

I always meet people here for meetings as it’s a good location but lately the chairs are on tables and take away cups only from 6.30! It’s ridiculous. It looks scruffy and very unwelcoming. All of the clean tables were covered over with chairs and I was holding drinks so end up sitting at a dirty table. I could understand tidying up at 8pm but at 6.30 when you don’t close until 9pm is just not good customer service.

Around three people serving, however, the queue was huge and they people serving were just chatting and so slow serving. Also, the vegan smoked 'ham' sandwich was tastless... don't bother. And why do they not serve coffee in proper cups anymore? Only paper ones. Yet they ask if I'm eating in?!

I was waiting 12 minutes for a mocha, after all the customers gone they did even care, once I asked one of the lady said he is just making it. did,t even say sorry, extrmally poor service.

Worst service at costa coffee shop I ever been. Wait for your order while they give another orders before mine, waiting more than 20 min. For one latte. When I asked the girl who took my order, she asked me what I ordered. How is this possible. No receipt after I made the payment. They are there to laugh and sleep. No attention or taking care of the customers. Do not go there. Is the costa shop at the entrance in Bluewater shops.

Quite empty and still the staff took ages to make the coffee which was not warm enough and provided without any attention, smile or care.

Great place to grab a drink for the journey home. Costa is busy wherever you go, but the girls on shift during my visit had a great routine going. Hot & cold drinks were ordered along with cakes and all arrived successfully. Slight weight, but not an issue.

Very friendly and professional customer despite being so late (9pm). They had a very busy day but I was treated with smiles and respect and very low wait time.

I had an encounter with a very rude and mannerless barista, Harry, a couple of months back where he refused to listen to me when I asked for skimmed milk in my coffee and shouted at me to move back when I was nowhere near him and had my mask on. I informed Ollie who dealt with it at the time. However, recently I had another encounter with the same barista who when I asked if he was going to make my coffee properly he said “NO”. This is an example of disgusting customer service. But what is even worse was that the store manager, Ollie, made a point of humiliating me in front of other customers and barred me for asking him to make my coffee and dealing with the situation. I don’t appreciate being shouted at in front of my kids. These 2 are both very rude and condescending yet funnily enough they pride themselves on the recent increase in trade and threw facts and figures at me but fails to realise he and his friend wouldn’t be in a job if it wasn’t for customers

If you come by yourself you have no hope of sitting down. I’ve been coming here for years with no problems. But COVID must have affected their brain! As I’m by myself I normally put a bag on an empty seat and wait in the queue but today I was told I’m not allowed to! So if you come in twos you are ok as one of you can sit whilst the other one waits in the queue but solo people forget it! Ollie the manager was also very condescending! Costa should send some of their staff on customer service course. I went to Cafe Nero and no such problems exist! So in future Cafe Nero it is!

Good for a nip in on my way back to the office. If the coffee doesn't lift me, then there is a disabled toilet (the only toilet) which provides a bit of peace and quiet for that double shot. Especually on a friday. Staff are always nice.

I was served by a lovely young man called James he was fast and efficient and delivered a lovely vanilla latte

Very crowded but did get a table. Staff seemed organized in serving with plenty of counter staff. Great coffee.

Visited at about 3pm and the que was out of the door. The staff were friendly and efficient dealing with orders quickly. Every seat was taken so it seems this is the place to visit for a quick bit of coffee and cake. Located conveniently at the top of a set of stairs this is our half way stop on our shopping trip after completing the ground floor. Lifts and toilets are also located nearby.

On this visit the staff were friendly and efficient and whilst it was crowded the staff managed to keep queue to minimum. Standard costa coffee and food.

My last visits have all ways left me fed up due to not enough staff to service the queue. This time it was different plenty of efficient people on counter served with a smile. Liked the fact that they asked me if I needed a tray and filled my milk at counter rather than give me a jug. Much kinder to the environment than washing a tray and jug.

Costa Coffee -Bluewater Excellent service and friendly staff. Quality of food and drinks always hot and clean and tasty. Love their toast sandwiches especially the cheese and mushroom melted one. Don’t forget to order you muffins as well ;)

After waiting in queue for over ten minutes with not enough staff and those she were working were not dynamic. I have up. Costa do great coffee but get your act together on staffing on a busy bank holiday.

A normal Costa but the staff are not able to cope with the footfall. Long queues and tables not cleared quickly.

This is my prefer coffee house. Love any costa coffee, esp the xmas ones. Polite and really quick, efficient service, even better when you have a costa card.

Costa are very reliable for coffee and food, and this outlet is no exception. Good location in the back of the Waterstones shop, never seems too busy. This is a good place to go if the coffee places in the main mall are overflowing with people.

There wasn’t much of a queue which there probably could be at times but still found myself waiting a little while for a coffee which is surprising as normally costa can be pretty quick.

Nothing special here, the pastries as usual were quite dry tasted old. The service was also quite slow, this is not one of their better sites. Expensive for what you actually get. The coffee tasted ok.

Not costa's fault by any means, just that this venue is so popular with shoppers. Waiting 25 mins plus for a drink for my daughter and I.

We love this Costa at the rear of Waterstones. It can get busy at times but never failed to get a table. Drinks and food are up to the usual high standard . Its kept nice and clean. Staff are wonderful . Friendly, efficient and always have time for their customers.

Had a coconut milk latte which was absolutely lovely, the staff were friendly and it was clean and tidy

The Costa coffee café at the rear of Waterstones used to be a well-kept secret but it has now become very popular. The serving area is quite small for both staff and customers and at busy times the queue can be very long and slow to move. There is a reasonable amount of seating but the gaps between tables are small and with buggies all too often blocking the way. There is an outside seating area which is for some reason not popular during the winter months!! The drinks and food are what you would expect from a Costa and the quality I have always found up to standard.

Love this place is full of smiles good quality coffee & they cant do enough to meet the customers needs.

I came in at 11:30am on Monday the 19th of June. Two people working, 1 guy and 1 lady, they were both so positive and gave great customer service

Compras un cartel de Bluewater, vimos la costa, así que decidí sentarme y tomar un café. Gran cola, lentas, y no hay muchos asientos vacíos. Nos gusta el café, así que se unió a la cola. El personal parecía alegre y atento, pero el servicio es lento. Nuestro turno, tomó nuestra orden, pagamos y esperó. . . . . muy agitado detrás del mostrador. . . Finalmente llegamos, café mi esposa vió una mesa vacía, así que tomamos. Siempre estupendo café, pero podría haber sido más caliente!

We tried the Costa at the back of Waterstones. The hot chocolate was weak with lots of froth on the top. Been to many Costas without a problem. Staff weren't very helpful either.

Soy amante del café Costa, pero últimamente no he recibido la actitud que yo estaba buscando, así que dejó de ir a la costa. Principalmente debido a la falta de servicio y tiempo de espera. Pero este no planeado visitar a Costa mientras compras por horas, era genial. Había una larga fila que me hizo pensar que nada ha cambiado, pero fue muy rápido en el cajas. Era servida por Barista italiano o español y él fue muy servicial con variedad de bebidas, dio sugerencias y sus conocimientos de atención al cliente era excelente. Estaba lleno y era muy difícil de conseguir con un carrito, pero me las arreglé y encontré un asiento mientras mi copa estaba preparado. Se me olvidó mi aperitivo en el hasta pero fue traído a mí junto con mi copa por vendedor precioso, incluso sin preguntar para hacerlo. Tuve un buen descanso de café con mi hijo sentado en sus sofás y disfrutar de un delicioso café encantador. Qué diferencia puede hacer un día.

My wife and I popped into Costa Coffee whilst shopping in Bluewater. We had two nice coffees for £4.50. The place does lack a bit of atmosphere, but the coffee was good at a good price.

Clean, welcome service,good snacks and tea/coffee. Tables and chairs set in two or larger tables. Very pleasent atmosphere
