The best bubble tea 🧋 I had from a costa's

Great Costa coffee as always, but I like a pastry with my morning coffee and this cafe does not bake them on site, but get stale, dry pastries delivered in. Yesterday I had a nice fresh pan au raisin, baked in the store at a Costa deive through in Bridgewater. Please Costa get all your cafes to bake pastries on site.

They were cleaning at the time. So queue was snaking around the counter and back again. More staff maybe. Or clean when you have less of a queue, especially at lunchtime. Just wanted to get in and back out.

Convenient little coffee shop from a big brand just where you need it to be. Perfect pit stop between the centre of Bristol and the further reaches of the city if you’re travelling by bike. Friendly staff on the weekend and not too busy.

Quiet Coffee store at the weekend as main trade is drive through. Waited here whilst having work done at the local Kwik Fit garage.

Usual choices and comfort you would expect from Costa. Service was good. I had tea and one of their delicious chocolate brownies.

Nice enough place and good coffee, check your change if paying by cash, I was short changed by 50p for my coffee got it back no problem when I told the person serving. Advise you pay by card.

I adore the mango bubble frappe. The staff in the Avonmeads branch are so polite and friendly.

Our drinks were made by a very friendly, but extremely busy employee, whose arms were moving around like a blurry octopus, trying to keep up with all the orders In the background, stood a guy holding a tablet doing absolutely nothing. I asked busy barista why the other guy wasn't helping his colleagues out and was told that he was from head office and he was there to monitor how much work the other staff were doing Nobody likes to work whilst other people watch them, especially as the stalker guy was likely getting paid more to stand and watch his overworked colleagues…and tippy tap tap occasionally on his TABLET OF EXTREME POWER Drinks were fine-my latte in a mug request was accommodated without fuss and the cinnamon bun tasted pretty good, but then I'm on a diet so all food tastes better at the moment This Costa is pretty loud, and today there was annoying music playing which didn't help After finishing our drinks and food we left, and I noticed creepy conspicuous head office stalker guy had moved to a different position, but thankfully he was still tappy tap tapping on his TABLET OF EXTREME POWER every now and again. The poor guy probably needs a few weeks off to recover from all that tapping

Not quite sure that the servers were ‘switched on’ as asked me some strange questions while I was ordering (like did I want to order anything else before I’d even ordered anything). Bit chilly too.

I go there on a regular basis through convenience. Apart from two staff members who always appear pleasant and friendly, most of them seem to have an attitude, miserable and barely say hello. When I worked with the general public, I was always told to look cheerful and put on an act. I don't know if it's a generation thing, but respect goes a long way in life.

Popped in for a coffee whilst my car was in kwik fit. This Costa was clean, tidy, and had plenty of seating. 2 toilets, which were clean. The decor was very nice and it felt cosy and clean. There was a lot of choice of snacks, lunch items and cakes, also lots of cups and Christmas gifts available. This store has a drive through, which does get very busy. So, the staff... there were 3 girls who were in the restaurant, I am not sure if it was because they were over-worked or ALL having a bad day, but they were all very miserable. None of them smiled or were welcoming. The girl at the till who took my order was not interested in conversation or even smiling. Once my order was taken, she moved onto the next customer, he was very upbeat and tried to make general conversation with her and she didn't even give him a smile or any interest at all. Another girl who was making the coffee, didn't speak at all. She placed my coffee in front of me without saying anything and carried on with the next coffee. As she walked around the cafe later, collecting cups, she looked very miserable. The third girl I saw once and she was in the background for a few minutes then dissappear, I expect back to the drive through hatch. You could tell the 2 main girls at the front didn't want to be there and i think management should try and make sure they are both okay and if it is a management fault that they are feeling and looking that upset then they need to make sure their employees are looked after correctly.

Had my car in for MOT. Googled nearest coffee place. Walked 15 minutes to this Costa as it said on the website open for dine in, delivery and take away. Got there and it’s drive-thru only. The actual cafe is closed. Obviously don’t have my car. What a waste of time. Could save people a lot of time and hassle by stating if the dine in facilities and / or drive thru is operating.

Drive-thru was shut so we went in to order. Had to wait 20 minutes for drinks as the cashier didn't pass on our receipt to the girl doing hot drinks who was literally carrying the entire team on her back- honestly kudos to her, she didn't stop! The food and drinks were great otherwise :)

Great location with FREE parking.

Food and drinks were spot on pleased not long to wait great customer service bit disappointed the drive through was not open but easy to park and not too inconvenient.

We have used this costa lots of times. It's not the best or quickest service. Today the drive through wasn't in operation which is common here, when we went it we were told it was cash only. We left and took our custom elsewhere.

The place is almost always closed due to faulty card machines or being understaffed. Just today I was not served from the takeaway/Drive through because I was not a car when the door sign explicitly said have service from the takeaway. There was only 1 van waiting behind me so it was not even a case of too many order plus staff was very rude

Food was cold, nothing to it either for the price

Nice and easy to drive through in a motability car. Very quick considering it was lunch time. Friendly staff.

Went through the drive thru this morning after dropping my partner at the train station at 7am so the drive thru was very quiet. Ordered a large oat milk latte for someone else and a large latte with 2 lots of caramel for myself… to get home and realise after trying my coffee that it was actually vanilla instead of caramel. I hate vanilla coffee and now most likely won’t drink my large coffee sadly which to anyone who understands where I am coming from, having your morning coffee is essential and having it ruined frustrating also now money wasted. Not the first problem I have had at this costa or the second or the third so at this point I will most likely just not bother with this costa again which is annoying because it is my local coffee shop.

Drive in but also have a main cafe at the front, Wow I ordered a large latte - thinking tall glass - Soup bowl came out with two handles, very hot and creamy, loved it. Callum was my server, he has a Wonderful smile that brings you into the cafe wanting more of him and the delights that are on offer. I will be back. Atmosphere would be 5 stars, but a large family came in with screaming children which spoilt my experience, resulting in forced to move from the window to around the corner next to wall to block the noise. Oh the hanging cups make a great feature.

Wait for 20 min for the shop to open but nothing, if you open later that fine but don’t waist people time.

I can see how the prices are creeping up. When you order the same thing many times over a long period of time you notice. Not been to any Costa's since

Lovely store, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Gorgeous coffees and a great selection of hot or cold foods.

Waited at the voice box in the drive thru a couple of times when trying to order even when it's super quiet. Seems that speed of service isn't particularly important for this branch of Costa drive thru, compared to the next nearest on the ring road (they were attentive, friendly, helpful and speedy).

Shop shut at 06:24 despite the opening hours are from 6 am. Very rude staff!!!

Great coffee, but some missing items from the order. Not sure if refunds are possible for bits that weren't available but paid for.

Make sure the customer can’t hear you when you slag them off! Flat white came weak and with more foam than a latte. Crumby team this morning.

According to Google the opening hours are until 9pm and on the shop door 8:30 however doors seemed to be locked at 8:20

I’m not sure if it’s the multi tasking or poor training, but this Costa needs better management. The restaurant was only a quarter full at 1145 am and only one customer before me. He was in a rush and I wasn’t but the Barista ( I use this term loosely) made the poor chap in front of me wait while he faffed around restocking his cups. Barista left the milk on and the hot milk was spilling everywhere. At the same time another member of staff came from the stores area saying I almost killed myself just now and fell over, while the hot milk was still splashing everywhere. Managed to give me takeaway cups and packs although I said I was eating in and no serviette’s to be seen absolutely and totally disorganised. I will be back unfortunately, as it’s the closest coffee shop to work.

It's an ok coffee place. Coffee was good, but croissant was actually a croissant-looking bread, which was a big disappointment.

Didn't get the 2 chocolate twists that we ordered , wrong size cups , what we did get was cold , didn't get chocolate dusting in one of the hot chocolate , and didn't get the kitkat to go with the hot chocolate, ham and cheese toasties were cold.

Ordered on the app, order and payment went through. Turned up at 8.20pm as said open until 9pm but was closed, staff inside but didn’t want to know, asked for a refund as clearly wasn’t getting our drinks and was told no!

Drive through is never open and on some occasions the staff have clearly had an argument and the barista is literally crying into my coffee.

Very slow service despite being nearly empty tables were dirty and disabled toilet was filthy

A standard Costa with nice staff. On the day I visited it was cold outside and there is a problem with the door here blowing open at the slightest breeze. This left for a cold and uninviting visit. Cost please do some maintenance. Note I asked the staff who did try but it’s a maintenance problem (and I’d say they were not confident if they reported it that it would get fixed!)

Let me begin by saying I still feel sick from the experience I had at this Costa! I was served by an individual with THE DIRTIEST FINGER NAILS I have ever seen. She chose to touch the top of the straw, right where I would naturally put my mouth. Have they heard of gloves? Or maybe even cleaning their finger nails?? I was forced to request another straw. Luckily, the second time, she avoided touching the straw's tip. Oh, and I should mention that this person was also wearing a bandage on her hand, which was clearly old because it had been discoloured. If this were for medical reasons, I would totally understand but if you’re in contact with food, drink etc YOU SHOULD BE WEARING GLOVES. On a handful of occasions when I have visited the branch, the drive through was closed as well as the store (the store was technically still open, according to Google). I’ve even seen staff members standing around in the kitchen, once again whilst the store was technically still open (according to Google). They had obviously just locked the door and decided to stop serving, for what reason? I have no idea.

Not very clean samwiches not fresh

Coffee was not as hot as I expected. Do I have to ask for an extra hot coffee now? It was quiet and dull. It was after 11pm. Fortunately, they were the only ones open.

Standard Costa nothing special, popular location with drive through.

Visited with my two little nephews to collect pic nic supper for them, had bought two good to go bags for them as a treat, Erin was really kind and was able to put things in suitable for children, I bought drinks and she offered the boys a surprise/delight and they both had a cornflake cake. I was really appreciative of Erin’s thoughtfulness, her good nature as the boys had just come out of school and were a little boisterous. Please thank her for us and let her know she is a credit to your organisation.

Excellent site for a drivethru. Queues can be long, but wait is worth it.

Went through the drive thru for two cheese and ham toasties and this what they looked like. 50% toasted and 50% warm bread :(

Staff members more focused on taking selfies together than greeting/serving customers. Typical, delicious Costa coffee. But no Black Forest hot choc this year.

This Costa coffee is a terrible the time Monday to Friday is 6am to 20pm but mostly they close before 15pm but the staff is in side drinking and relax On Saturdays they don't have time to open they open 9 or 10 or 11 the manager is a very Rude guy

Cafe closed at 9.45am drive thu only can't even enter to use the toilet! This place has struggled with staff since it opened, considering they charge £3.70 for one coffee you would think they could pay their staff enough to get them there? Subway next door is £2.39 for the same drink.

Not open for dine in very often due to low staff levels. New staff being trained forget orders mulitple visits. Had a cup of tea once and the milk was forgotten, the cup was forgotten and also the spoon... tidy and clean but staff also seem rushed off their feet or focused on something else

Ran in to shelter from a rain storm, and enjoyed a lovely coffee & an egg sandwich. A nice break, thanks.

Good drinks. I think the server had a hard Saturday night though, Sunday mornings were clearly not a good time!

Waste of time. Every time I come to this place late afternoon the coffee shop is always closed. I am on my pushbike so cant even use the drive through. Why have such a large coffee shop if your always shutting it early. There is no way that it takes 3 people to man a drive through kiosk especially when you go into the shop and only 1 serves you???? Waste of time..

I had a pain au rasin that was cold, taken from the fridge and wasn't fresh.

Very convenient area, easy to approach however the coffee has been closed in morning hours 7-8 on the last 2 occasions I went there (within the last two months) and the drive through queue was horrendous. One single person was taking the orders and serving customers.

Coffee was good but despite closing time being advertised as 8pm we were asked to leave at 720pm so they could clean up. We had only arrived at 7pm.

Woefully understaffed & unable to deliver on click & collect orders. If you are on a tight schedule your only hope at this store is the drive thru!

2nd time coming here and using drive through. Non efficient process on the drive through which takes long and twice I’ve ordered breakfast and not been given the sauce that I asked for .

Would always love meeting friends here but it’s really gone down hill. Staff are full of attitude (that’s if they are open!) and will argue with you. Ordered peach iced tea to be given hot peach iced tea and was told ‘that’s how it’s always served…we put ice in the hot water’. Seems they pick and choose their opening times even though you can see multiple team members in the building. Such a shame as it used to be a fab place to go. Avoid at all costs!

They closed the shop and only doing drive thru with 3 staff on a Sunday afternoon at 3 asked if wanted manager numbers and head office and was refused both this was on 17th April was told to look on line about contracting head office I will avoid the place and anyone else look at somewhere else as staff was very unhelpful

Never open when meant to be. Come Here Sundays before work and meant to be open at 7 but third time it’s been in darkness now! Update - tried again today on Saturday 26th 7:15am not open again. Total shambles of a coffee shop.

What's not to like, nice coffee, staff are always super friendly and you don't even need to get out of the car. Great on the way off somewhere!

A little disappointing today. Not very clean no hand sanitizer as wasn't working and toilet wasn't clean without toilet paper. Couldn't use my free drink as they didn't know how to sort out my app. Shame because I've always liked coming here 🤭

Easy to find, directly opposite Patchway police station on the A38. Friendly staff in a clean and warm environment. Usual Costa coffee choices and all made to a good standard. Tried the new vegan "bacon" bap...not disappointed at all. Plenty of car parking available.

Warm and welcoming. Very nice LARGE cup of coffee. Comfortable seating. Everything you want in a coffee shop.

Service was slow and not much food left in the fridges. I was told they had no sandwiches or painis left. The next customer asked for a cheese toastie and the staff member went over to the fridge they use for the drive thru and came back with a toastie. This is the second time I've been told they haven't got food. On a previous visit a staff member starting stocking the fridge not long after I'd orderd my drink, there was no delivery truck on this occasion so the food must have been behind the counter and no one had bothered to restock the fridge by the counter. Basically this Costa prioritises the drive thru so don't waste your time popping into the shop.

Lovely mocha as usual. Toasted sandwiches were very nice. Staff were friendly and polite.

The shop was fine, but the lady barista had obviously had a bad day! She didn't listen to my request for a mug not glass for a latte or my milk preference, and didn't like it when I repeated myself politely.
