15/2/24 roughly 2.15 pm if any manager has access to CCTV in shop. Went in for a coffee and was completely ignored, after waiting about 5 mins I left. 2 people working that I could see but did not even acknowledge that I was waiting at counter. A simple "be with you in a minute" and I would have waited as long as it took but to be ignored while staff were laughing through their earpieces was so ignorant. I hope there is a franchise manager who reads reviews and could perhaps give some staff training on customer service.

Service was slow - even although there were only a few people inside. The staff all seemed to be focused on the drive through. When we eventually got out drinks they were weak flavoured and barely even warm -what a massive disappointment for us and our grandchildren. I will never go back to this Costa’s - the one in Inverness is so much better - and we have been there many times. Who ever is leading the team in Fort William needs further support.

Slowest service ever and coffee was lukewarm warm. Waited so long I couldn’t be bothered getting it fixed as the queue was unbelievable. Rotten!

Called in for lunch . Ordered tuna melt panini, this was full of pepper, did not taste great, but nothing to the shouting that was going on by the manager to a new member of staff. Absolutely disgraceful, made us feel very uncomfortable, everyone was looking round at him. How can you let managers shame new staff in front of all customers, it was shocking and if I had been that poor lad I would have walked out , I felt so sorry for him. No wonder they have staff shortages ! Remove him please

Have just popped into Costa for a coffee and sit down with my mum and brother. This is a lovely Costa, spacious & kept clear of previous patrons empty cups. The coffees were very good as expected & the array of cakes ordered were delicious. Would definitely recommend & would return.

Visited mid afternoon for a bite to eat and some coffee. Put in an order of 4 toasties, 2 Coffee's and a cold drink. The cashier and I spoke in detail about the cold drink as our original choice wasn't available so the order was slightly different to the norm (decaf/ no whip) Coffee's took forever to be made despite there only being one other person in front of me. Flat white was more like an americano with milk. Toasties were made before the coffee's meaning mine was getting cold while I waited. Coffee's were made and I asked where the cold drink was. The batista said they would make it next. Sat back down and waited another 5minutes and went back to the counter again to ask where the drink was. I was the told that they needed to charge me because it hadn't been paid for. The way I was spoken to was as if I hadn't ordered it but we had a whole conversation about it. This was not my mistake but I was made to feel like I had done something wrong and had intentionally no paid. By this point we had finished our food and the coffees so declined to reorder. No apology, no offer of resolution. Horrible staff with dreadful manner and no customer service skills.

Staff very pleasant, the place was clean and tidy and light and airy. Prices as usual pretty expensive for what you get but hay ho

Had lovely latte and hot cross bun, member of staff so friendly and professional, best latte we’ve had in a Costa, she told us about the road to the isles, we took her advice and did this journey, thank you for the recommendation

This is by far the nicest branch of Costa we've been to anywhere. The staff team have created a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, the place was spotlessly clean and the service exemplary. No wonder they display an award for 'Excellence' behind the counter. (Be prepared that, like many places in the town, it closes at 4pm - check the website for opening hours.)

Our favourite coffee chain with this one set in the middle of Fort William's pedestrian-only shopping street. The staff were very pleasant and the ambience was lovely.

Coffee was lovely, staff pleasant enough but oh my, what a truly filthy place. Dust on just about every surface, dirt on the tables plenty of which were left with used cups on. The place needs a good clean and someone to take pride in their working environment

Having bought two coffees and neither of them remotely tasting like coffee and staff rude and arrogant I would not recommend this place at all. The staff seemingly clueless and not very pleasant!! Sorry but just no!!

Excessively noisy and aggressive service. The man taking the orders was unbelievably loud and shouty, akin to something out of The League of Gentlemen. He shouted over my order and I repeated it several times. If he could only keep his mouth shut and listen, it would have been much easier. The girl who gave me the coffees didn't even look up, let alone speak. Needless to say, we sat drinking our coffees having listen to that pratt shout at every customer. Wondering if a manager or area manager has even sat in a and watched this nightmare?

It’s funny reading the reviews after visiting the place. They’re all true, the five star and the one star. It just depends on one’s expectations and previous experience of this chain. The place was understaffed, one person making drinks, a bit terse to be sure...

If you have hours to spare, enjoy standing in slow moving queues, repeating simple requests and churlish staff then this is the place for you. Enjoy.

Worst service ever- it took 30 minutes for a takeaway latte - the staff are totally clueless the coffee station was filthy and if I hadn’t have paid I would have walked out.

This Café is one in a large chain COSTA. I saw some Costa Coffee in London. The first Costa Coffee was founded in 1971 by Brothers Bruno and Sergio Costa. At the local we met the very good coffees, and an excellent service.

We simply needed a coffee fix after all the walking round Fort William, and what could be better than dropping in on Costa! The place wasn’t too busy luckily, so we got served quickly by efficient staff, and then two of their comfiest seats ,...

Had a lovely cuppa and a Terry’s chocolate orange muffin which was AMAZING! Served by Amber who, as always, was extremely helpful and polite, she is a credit to Costa.

Very average coffee, and charged 0.30p extra to sit in. Could not use my own data as bugger all cell reception in more than half the cafe, I had to move three times in my entire 20 minutes there. Received 'no internet connection' on two...

This is actually the best coffee that the UK has to offer. Service friendly. Good location. Fair selection of cakes.

They not only have great locations, great food, and great coffee but it was the only place in Scotland that would give me an actual cup of ice!

Stumbled on Costa with teh family after a long walk. My eldest opted for the White chocolate, while my ypoungest went for the traditional hot chocolate. Nice modern, clean coffee shop that offers a drive through service, or a seated area inside.

This branch of Costa is right in the centre of town in Fort William and serves good coffee (I like the Costa brand) and the usual range of muffins, cakes, pastries etc that you find in Costas around the UK. The place was clean and service perfectly welcoming and fairly speedy which is not the case in all coffee houses of this type.

He visitado aquí en muchas ocasiones. Estaba bastante desconcertado de encontrar un servidor masculino muy gruñón de servicio. A nuestra llegada a las 4. 55 p. metro. Anunció que las estaban cerrando a las 5. 30 p. metro. y él continuó siendo muy impaciente y terminó, claramente esperando que nos hubiéramos ido. ¡Y mucha gente vino después de nosotros! Sin embargo, el restaurante estaba impecablemente limpio y el café y los aperitivos que teníamos eran excelentes. Tal vez necesite poner un letrero avisando cuando se tomarán las últimas órdenes?

As large coffee houses go this is rather good BUT...if you are Gluten intolerant there is nothing savoury to eat. You cannot eat anything other than the two or three very high in calories, treats. Come on Costa, lets do better xx

Always good coffee for me but the Highland friendliness made a very welcome stop on a cold but sunny day.

Si solo pudieran organizarse para comprar en una buena repostería casera, pero es una cadena y las cadenas dependen de que la gente esté contenta con los brownies envueltos en plástico y cosas por el estilo. Supongo que si te gusta el café de una manera particular, pero no es una parada de té para mí a menos que haya un buen pastel. Supongo que obtuvimos lo que merecíamos: deberíamos haber regresado a The Wildcat. Los lugares independientes son mucho mejores en todos los sentidos.

We were served by a "barrista" whose face would have cracked if had attempted to smile. A shame because we had been there on another day and had a nice time.

Usual costa range but the plus to this branch is its staff. Helpful to walkers with plugs to charge, rediators to dry a jacket or even simple directions.

I am Costa regular costumer, today I went there for breakfast, accidentally I had some shopping with me including a piece of pastry, before I get my Capochino, manager told me I’m not allowed to have any food from outside in Costa, I was a bit miss understood and thought she is talking about proper meal and didn’t know even small piece of pastry from outside is banned there, I didn’t know about it and even didn’t see any sign about it.

We were lucky enough to visit stunning Fort William 24/4/18 and whilst we were there stopped for a bite to eat at Costa coffee. I feel happily compelled to write a review for the barista's who were the friendliest we had ever met, so obliging and courteous to our every need. Clean shop, hot food and excellent service all round.

Love Costa's always clean and tidy, wish they had a place to put your empties when finished instead of having to leave them on the table. I don't drink coffee but they make a lovely cup of tea. x

Visited the Costa in Fort William while visiting from the USA. In the states we have Starbucks and Costa far exceeds what Starbucks has to offer. Was run by an excellent and very efficient staff, too!

Costa coffee is my second favourite coffee. When you need a boost a costa coffee and a large piece of cheese cake is just what you need. Service was quite slow but they were busy. Enjoy

We expected to find a nice warm place here to have a coffee and a bite to eat. Unfortunately it was like walking into a fridge - it was freezing. It was raining outside and not very warm - what is it with air conditioning these days - it was not hot enough for the air conditioning to be blasting out freezing cold air - it was horrible. The coffee okay but I kept my coat on the whole time, when I looked around everyone had their coats on too - why do we have to suffer the air conditioning? I hate air conditioning it is not warm enough this time of year to warrant such freezing cold condition. Also another point to note is that the cakes are very stale - mine was really dry and almost inedible.

Be prepared to wait in this one, probably the worst service and speed in any costa coffee I have ever...

There are better places in Fort William . You get the usual disappointing offering from the huge corporate. Staff nice, overall chain not.

We were driven into this cafe by the rain (in August!). Nice and clean, with everything you'd expect from a branch of Costa including excellent wifi.

Fairly standard for a big chain coffee shop, set apart from others by their brilliant staff. We came here 10+ times during our stay in F.W and felt at home every single time. Coffee is good, food is quality and although it can get very busy and noisy on a cold/wet day, it's worth it every bit.

No issues except they couldn't heat the babies food for us. Coffee and cakes exactly as you expect from Costa. Toilets very clean

It was a warm day, and instead of our costa coffee, we fancies something cool. I ordered a strawberry & cream frappe type drink, and my partner a chocolate one. We had to queue a few minutes. Then I was given 2 strawberry drinks - one being wrong. I gave it back, and had to wait as long again for a new drink to be made. No apology given, and a strange look from the person making the drink, who may have thought it was my fault the order was wrong.

Partial to a Costa, wherever, we roam and the quality was to the usual standard. The staff however, seemed to be in a totally different world to any of the customers. Very pleasant and polite, courteous even but ohhhh so slow. We'll take a flask next time.

Great Costa. Great coffee, toast and marmalade, toasted tea cakes, succulent chocolate brownies and flapjacks. Friendly and efficient staff. What more could you want on a rainy day in Fort William. Good old Costa - don't know what we'd do without you!

Went here for breakfast and supper both days in Fort William and it was super. Pub style serving for supper (reservations help), with great food. The burgers and salmon are excellent - nice selection of beers.

I had a query about the ingredients of a traybake, i.e. unwrapped muesli/nut square, in relation to a food intolerance problem. The young man was relaxed and helpful in identifying the ingredients from the information behind the counter, carefully pointing out also that cross contamination was unavoidable.The muesli square and the coffee were wonderful. All round an excellent experience which was enhanced by great customer service I received. All much appreciated. Thank you.

Spent 5.5 hours in Costa dodging the rain. I was not pestered to buy more food or drinks. It was nice and quiet so I could read my book in peace. The staff were very polite too

Locale molto accogliente ed anche molto pulito, personale educato, tante varietà di dolciumi che non guastano. Sicuramente da provare se siete in zona e volete trascorrere una mezz'ora in relax.

Locale carino con personale cordiale.Hanno una bella varietà di dolci che propongono ai clienti e anche biscotti.Se la consumazione è nel locale si paga un sovrappezzo anche se non c'è servizio.

Ottimo bar dove poter fare colazione a Fort William. Situato nella via principale offre ottimi dolci e vari tipi di bevande. Spazioso e pulito. Wifi disponibile. Personale gentile.

Went here on a wild, windy & wet day in March and the welcome was very good. Coffee was excellent and the cake even better. Very friendly barista

Stopped en route to Loch Ness, could visited next door for coffee at a third of the price but my granddaughter loves a baby chinos and no one does better brownies than costa. Glad we did as found it to have the best and friendliest batista. Took time to chat to granddaughter and myself. Also offered glass of water with the expresso that lots don't. Certainly needs a Costa award

Costa always give you a good cuppa wherever you go. Sandwiches and cake are okay, not homemade. Relaxing place to be.

Not really a Costa fan but happened to stop in here for a quick coffee and had a great chat with one of the staff members about coffee, the coffee machine and where the whole Costa name and business originated from as I wastalking about it the day before with a friend. So got a nice coffee and learned something new too.

We visit alot of costa's and this one is one of the best staff friendly coffee hot fast attentive service will definitely be back before we go home

I come in here regular,and I was in on Saturday 22/10/16,@4pm,when,I went in it was very quiet and every table was littered with dishes,the window ledge had 4 trays on it,I work in the industry, and I know,what its Like when its busy but there where 3 staff on just standing talking while all tables needed cleared,the standards are dropping here and the management, need to be aware of this!!
