Costa in Liverpool

Lo que una vez fue un lugar familiar y amigable para los habitantes de la zona se ha convertido en una experiencia impersonal y sin alma. Varios empleados populares han sido trasladados. Los nuevos son agradables, pero mal entrenados y la gestión es ahora pobre, con el personal corriendo a menudo sin rumbo fijo con poco compromiso con los clientes. En dos órdenes de entrega recientes faltaban artículos que habían sido pagados. No puedes llamar por teléfono a la sucursal. El control de stock también es inconsistente, lo que es particularmente molesto para los clientes habituales que tienen preferencias. Recientemente, en una ocasión, el dueño del negocio irrumpió en la tienda, frente a muchos clientes y gritó enojado al personal. Estaba totalmente horrorizado por este comportamiento innecesario. Lo visité hoy. Normalmente, te cuesta encontrar una mesa durante el fin de semana. Como era de esperar, al mediodía, estaba prácticamente desierta. Como leal, regular y devoto de larga data, realmente espero que los responsables hagan algo o el futuro de esta rama me parece sombrío.

Fue una Costa brillante. Las chicas eran increíbles. Realmente amable, rápido y en mi opinión algunos de los mejores trabajando en cualquier Costa que he pasado. Lamentablemente, las niñas han tenido que abandonar el país debido a un problema con la alta dirección. Ahora el personal es lento, las mesas estaban llenas de ollas y lucharon para obtener una orden de café simple correcta. La alta dirección necesita recuperar al otro equipo antes de que pierda clientes leales.

Staff are very nice, pity the furniture isn’t the same , when you sit on the chair it rocks like it’s going to collapse, despite the furniture falling to bits, I come here nearly every day, get some new furniture please

The staffing has now settled down following a hiatus which saw the departure of the previous manager and several longstanding members of staff. Present team members are pleasant and helpful. Coffees are well prepared and the food quality is pretty consistent. Locals have returned and the venue is always busy.

I went this morning whilst my wife went shopping and I had my little Shih Tzu with me, I stood by the door and asked if it was OK to order as I didn't want to go inside with my dog, one of the girls working happily took my order and said she would happily bring out my coffee and toast to me, great service really pleasant staff they are a credit to your brand and you should be proud to have staff like this in your business

Good to see the screens removed and a measure of stability in terms of staffing. Members of the team are, generally, very helpful and the food and drink are very good.

Called into this Costa for coffee today. So impressed by member of staff with long red hair. Sorry didn't see her name. Elderly man in mobility scooter came in and she came from behind the counter to deal with him personally. Took his tray to the table and communicated with him all the time. Sure she made his day !! Well done

I stopped to buy a cofee. The place are very friendly, clean. Also the manager serve me ( saw her badge - Magda) and she was very very friendly. Best manager met on cofee shops! I will be back soon as possible

Staff are lovely and always work so hard here. The food and drinks are first class and nothing is too much trouble. The pandemic has put people working in service industries like this under enormous pressure, yet this Costa team has coped admirably with all the constraints and maintained high standards throughout.

Been here a few times with my partner and friends! Most recent was January 2020 me and my partner were doing veganuary so popped in for coffee with oat milk and they had these lovely little vegan rocky roads, nice to have some options! Places generally seems well run & staff seem friendly!

I don’t even know where to begin. As someone who prefers to give my money to independent coffee shops to help give back to the people of my city, I decided to visit Costa in Gateacre as I was in a hurry and needed a quick caffeine fix. Upon entering the store, I was immediately set back by the loud and obnoxious sound of an Eastern European woman screaming orders to both staff and customers. It wasn’t very busy, yet, I believe the staff were run off their feet as one mentioned having to prepare Uber Eats orders as well as serving customers. Another reason I prefer to go to independent/family owned coffee shops is because I know the level of customer service and etiquette of those who work there will be above and beyond. Unfortunately this was not the case at this store. The woman in question continuously screamed and spat bullying comments at the staff, most definitely with the intention to embarrass them in front of the customers in store. I have never experienced such foul, degrading treatment from one person to another in my life.I find it incredibly out of order that someone who quite obviously is psychotic, with disgusting behaviour, is allowed to work in the hospitality industry. Whoever hired this woman obviously does not care about their staff or their reputation. I am truly disgusted by what I experienced today and I most certainly will never be revisiting.

Maybe its a thing with British companies - but whenever I go to a Costa - over the far superior Nero or Starbucks (sadly now working at home this is all I have) I find the staff to be the most disapointing part of the experience.Staff today where moaning about how busy it was, moaning about excessive uber orders (which seem to take priority over serving a queue) and also expressing their excitement to go back onto furlough.I don't normally care for this stuff, but when I'm paying 7-8 quid for 2 drinks, I really hate it to come with a complaint. I don't need to hear it.Nero and Starbucks seem to have far down to earth, chilled out staff who know the basics and beyond of customer service. Costa on the other hand seem to employed mouthy snotty staff who don't know how lucky they are at the moment to have a job - never mind expressing excitement for furlough. Cheers.

I tried to ask the cashier Chloe about the new hot chocolates, she was rude & stern just answering ‘YEH!’ And was more interested in pouting & scrolling on her phone I know it’s lockdown but still nice to show your customers some common courtesy

Great to be back! Lovely coffee, as always and the usual delicious cakes and toasties. Staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful and work very hard to please.

Called in for a coffee and a cake. The BOSS had a cappuccino, I had a latte, hazelnut with cream and a bakewell slice. Very nice, it was busy but we were served quickly and got a table easily. Fab.

We were the only ones waiting, and there was no one to serve us. Then a lad and a girl came, she jumped on the till without a smile and we've ordered to drinks to go and a muffin. She didn't give us the muffin. The guy made us our drinks and then he asked if we wanted anything else (always without a smile) and we reminded him of the cupcake. So he told the girl to give it to us and she basically threw it at us :/ Costa I'd always a good choice but I was a bit scared to ask as they were very unfriendly unfortunately. I work with customers too, and people don't need to know about my bad days

We enjoy coming to this Costa. The Manager and Staff are very friendly and obliging taking our tray over to the seat.

They now have a limited range of excellent quality, oven ready meals including Chicken Arrabiata and Mac ‘n’ Cheese. I like the new fruit toast too, with lashings of butter - delicious! Service and atmosphere are, as ever, tip top.

We stopped in for a iced coffee and a regular coffee. The customer service was fantastic .what a great experience we had.

It is amazing to see how popular this lovely, local coffee shop has become. They have a new and very quick oven so that toasted sandwiches are no longer squashed and misshapen and are lighter and fluffier than before. Staff remain excellent and the drinks are first rate.

Staff, as ever, are fantastic. Best Costa I have come across. Bakewell tart was scrumptious. Service is always efficient and obliging and the coffee shop is comfortable and relaxed.

The staff at Gateacre Costa really are lovely and it is reflected in the popularity of this excellent, local coffee shop. The food remains tip top the coffee is just how you like it.

Egg, mushroom and spinach muffin hit the spot, washed down with an excellent latte and a delicious chocolate nest cake. Staff are always superb.

I just love the mushroom and Emmental toasted sandwiches they do here and you are always served with a smile! The coffee is, of course, great too.

La primera vez que fui a la costa estaba tan contento con la experiencia; me pareció encantador y Costa limpia y el personal era genial. Sólo puedo asumir que era servida por el director como él no podía hacer lo suficiente para mi hija pequeña (3 años). Me hizo cualquier sabor frostini que quería.

Everyday I go into this costa and look forward to seeing the friendly assistant manager Magda She is very hard working and always multitasking she should be made manager ,, also there is a young lad Kieran who makes fab coffees

It’s Christmas again (well it is here, anyway) and the cafe is full of festive cheers, with seasonal cakes, including, of course, some delicious mince pies. All the usual favourites are there as well and, coupled with the great range of hot and cold drinks, this remains the best place in Gateacre to have that well earned break.

The staff are so nice here and always go the extra mile to please. The coffee will be exactly how you like it or they'll make it again. Add to this some outstanding cakes and sandwiches and you have a real winner.

I am regular here and the staff are friendly and the service is always swift. It's all the usual costa selection but it is always clean and you can always find a seat even at the busiest times

I love coming to this friendly, local coffee shop. The staff are superb and always remember my favourite drink. The coffee is consistently good and I really like the toasted sandwiches too.

Gente buscando un lugar informal para conocer encontrarán una amplia selección de bebidas no alcohólicas, incluyendo algunos excelentes cafés, tés, bebidas, zumos y batidos de helado. The lovely cake selection changes periodically and currently includes some delicious, little brioche fingers, with pink icing. Perfect with butter! The excellent coffees and sandwiches remain and the staff are outstanding, as always.

My latest favourite is the new Rainbow Cake. An indulgent sponge log with a jammy centre and covered in creamy white chocolate. The staff are so friendly here and go out of their way to please.

The famous "Java Jive" song could have been written for Costa! The newish branch in Gateacre remains an excellent example and is justifiably popular. Staff are excellent and the hot drinks never disappoint.

Aside from excellent, consistent hot drinks, toasties, paninis and delicious cakes, the cafe opens early in the morning. Always a great way to start the day. Staff are lovely at any time.

They do really good toasted sandwiches here. My favourite is the cheese and slow roast tomato, which is tangy and delicious. There is always great coffee to be had too and a nice array of cakes. Staff could not be more pleasant.

Find it difficult to pass a Costa that I haven't been in before, so I didn't , stopped the car and went in. I was not disappointed had my usual cappuccino that was as great as ever. Will call again if I am passing.

I have reviewed this excellent cafe before. The staff are really lovely and the coffees are excellent. Try the special "Old Paradise Street" blend, available at a small supplement, which is rich and delicious. The Christmas cake selection is mouthwatering too.
