Nice food but tables not cleaned and glasses and plates left on the table. Seats dirty too. Lots of cake bits on the floor and dirty in general. Amazingly the toilets were very clean despite the cafe area being a mess.

We were asked if we wanted medium or large coffees. Being my first visit I said large. Whoops we got two very large coffees. They were very tasty and hot. All though next time it will be medium these were served with a friendly smile and brought the table when ready.

I went to this Costa in walking boots, scruffy hat and a pack, but was treated as well as when I wear business clothes. The barista was friendly and helpful, pointing out what I had requested was part of a deal so if I wanted crisps they'd come free. The toastie was ready just as I finished paying. There's a great selection of seating, sofa, a variety of arm chairs, and the usual tables, some outdoors. The big negative for me was the wifi was diabolical! And with poor phone reception I had to move on elsewhere to access internet.

The drinks and food is usually nice but when the service is so unfriendly it makes it hard to enjoy the Costa experience. There are numerous staff in here who are all polite and well mannered however one girl with an unfriendly face and light brown hair doesn’t even say thank you.

Standard Costa with above standard staff. Welcome was warm and friendly, breakfast rolls yummy and staff fast and efficient, especially 'Lucy' who sold us the benefits of the Costa loyalty card so well we headed off to Boots suitably refreshed!!!

I regularly visit Costa for coffee and a chat with friends. Great coffee, great service and great comfortable seating. What's not to like?

My family enjoy the coffee menu at Costa and the Kingsbridge Costa is usually busy, although we usually manage to find a table for four. It is comfortable and cosy and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Do not be misled by the outside it looks small and tucked away but go in.....lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful and of course the coffee normal Costa standard as expected. Visited twice.

With all the coffee shops in Kingsbridge Devon we don't choose to drink in this establishment, we only use the well established outlets.

Just cannot understand reviewers who don't like the coffee. OK, if you want a taste-alike for instant coffee made with dishwater, it may be a touch too strong, but if, like me, you want coffee with a noticeable caffeine hit, Costa is the brew. Add staff who always provide a warm courteous welcome and baristas who do much more than just pour it out, then this is the place to go.

Pleasant staff. A reasonable afternoon coffee in a former pub. I have paid more for far worse coffee.

Visited Costa Kingsbridge while on holiday in the area last week. I regularly use Costa at home and generally it's quite good. Unfortunately the two Flat White coffees we had in Kingsbridge were quite simply the worst cups of coffee I ever remember having. One was so hot the milk had boiled and both cups were thin with no texture at all on the milk and totally lacking in flavour. The barista didn't appear to have much idea what he was doing. Overall very disappointing and I would hesitate to go again when there are far better coffee shops in the area.

I love coming to this place when I have my day off. The coffee is always nice and toast too. Staff is friendly and area too. Sometimes they need to clean tables faster but overall I like coming back.....

Despite being in dog happy South Devon no dogs are allowed. Si you sit outside in their ,well I wouldn't use the word garden. I would even refrain from saying seating area. Dark grubby shitpit best sums it up. Costa is my least favourite of the big coffee chains and despite the friendly staff I would probably avoid this one. Oh , and Costa , either tidy up the outside or at least let us canine folk in the hard floored bit at the back .

The coffee is always to Costas standard. The staff are always friendly and interested in what sort of day you've had.

I come here nearly every Sunday morning to get a hot chocolate to go, not only is it the BEST hot chocolate I've ever had the staff are so cheery and chatty and makes getting up early worth it

I visit this coffee shop regularly and for very good reasons. The coffee quality is second to none, which is pretty important, and in addition the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Staff are excellent, with the baristas never failing to impress with their speed and dexterity. The place has had a recent makeover, which has brightened it considerably. Choose from small or large tables or deep armchairs with low coffee tables.Yes, I am a great fan - and no, I do not work for Costa!

You always get a smile from the crew at Kingsbridge's Costa. Coffee is great and there's always a buzz. Will return shortly.

Good coffee , good service , nice comfy seats but atmosphere a little noisy as has slate flooring which makes it very echoey

As usual the wait to find a table after waiting to get the coffee made takes the shine off a relaxing experience, service was average no interaction,young girl at counter, the place could do with more staff keeping on top of clearing tables and cleaning, coffee and cake good as usual

I'm always met by friendly staff in here. And as I'm a regular they always know what I want and the service is usually fast.

Always nice to come and relax after a hard day at work. Central easy friendly! Eve in the wind and rain in game for a Costa Coffee. I wouldn't go anywhere else :)

A long queue for the coffee on a busy Saturday morning took ages and ages. The coffee was good but the table, chairs, carpet and toilet were all dirty. I would try the independent coffee shop nearby next time.

Only just an average Costa, why go there when there are better places to go to drink and certainly eat in kingsbridge. Expensive and only small

Not very clean when we visited and the coffee was really not good at all.Costa is usually very good but here they don't seem to know how to make a good coffee.Disappointing all round.

This is now a pretty regular weekly visit for a coffee and a chat with some friends. I am a complete convert to their coffee, it has body and real taste which shines through even in a cappuccino. I had to buy a coffee in a first class attraction restaurant last week - it was definitely not in the same league. Costa give you an excellent product served pleasantly by "barristas" who know their job and it dosn't costa lot! (Sorry).

As a rule I enjoy costa coffee but after a second visit it's clear they have literally no idea how to make a drinkable cappuccino & won't be waisting any more money in here. Some serious training is needed a cappuccino should have milk in it not just a shot of coffee & poor froth really really terrible. Nice staff just clueless! Sorry

Have visited this Costa many times. It's very relaxing, clean and the staff are always friendly. However think there must be a problem with setting the air conditioning according to the weather outside as today sat at the rear of the premises it was really cold. Didn't want to make us linger longer than necessary.

This is everything you would expect from a chain company. The only exception is that there is a toybox (albeit tucked right at the back of the coffee shop) which means that kids can be entertained whilst you take a break and the staff are friendly and polite.

What do you expect? Coffee is vague, or overly sweet and the cold food is pricey and packaged. As I said it's a Costa.. if you want real food and coffee walk on by and try any of the numerous family run cafes and restaurants in town.

We travel quite a lot and am ashamed to say that costa appears to have become part of my stable diet meaning we normally end up popping in to this one when visiting family it is much newer and less tired than many I have seen as well as a lot cleaner ! Generally the staff are very helpful and capable however there was a young and very confused lad on our last visit who forgot our sandwiches however we put this down to him perhaps learning? Over all a great visit

OK - typical Costa. Good coffee but many staff only average. Laura and Shaun really try and are pleasant but some of the others 'just doing their job'!

A lovely big café space and lovely coffee but our table was near the air conditioner, on even though it was October. It was so draughty that we had to move.

'Two medium takeaway Americano's with hot milk' delicious coffee combined with excellent customer service from the male server here last week. It's like anywhere though really -you have to have the right person making the coffee to get a great result.

What can I say? Costas is pretty much the same wherever you go. This one is in what used to be The Ship pub that tended to open as and when it felt like it, probably the reason why it closed. It's got a nice little outside area and inside is cosy, with friendly staff.

The food and drink in Costa is fresh, made quickly and very delicious! The outside area is great in good weather and there are also drinks/snacks suitable for children.The staff are friendly and happily meet the extra requirements of customers if needed.It's just a shame that the eat-in prices and the takeaway prices differ so much.Would highly recommend though.

We came here on a recent Sunday afternoon, against our better judgement because we try to avoid the “multiples”, but it was the only place open in Kingsbridge. The staff are quite friendly and quite helpful but the Barista disappeared when the time came to do my order; there was certainly no urgency. There was no sign of a manager either.The tea was fine as was the smoothy but the milk for the latte was scalded and this spoilt the flavour. It all just felt a bit tired and I suppose this is what you call a “bog standard” café, nothing badly wrong but nothing special either.

Good coffee in a lovely old building that has been beautifully converted. You get consistent coffee by people who are properly trained using decent espresso machines that are well maintained. These ingredients are what is sadly so often missing at independent outlets.

Typical Costa experience coffee good tad pricey but good and i don't mind paying when quality good.Quick service, comfortable and open till 7pm.A real find...
