The bacon bap was a case of would you like some bacon with your fat? For the price ita scandalous.

Good service and friendly staff.

Food cold was told it be with me between 8.40 and 9am, food actually turned up at 9.20, and very cold, I never order here again what a waste.

Ordered two baps. One was bacon and the other was a vegetarian one. For some forsaken reason, the crew member decided to place two plates on top of each other and place the vegetarian bap on top of the bacon one with bacon hanging out. I offered to whom I was with to complain about her vegetarian bap but she said not to as she doesn't like making a fuss about things but I was very disappointed. This is unacceptable service.

I was here a few weeks ago and there was a long queue. The staff managed to serve everyone so fast and efficiently with lots of care and attention to detail. I didn’t think I’d been waiting long at all but the manager asked me to choose a free cake due to the wait. So lovely, really impressed as I know chain stores don’t always have that much care for the customers.

This was an issue with how they didn't put the lid on the drink properly so I lost half drink and had to clean up the mess. This is bad. please put the lid properly

Lovely Costa in the heart of Ipswich. Staff in there are friendly, lovely, cheerful and go above and beyond for you. Never dull or unhappy. Great customer service, the place is tidy and clean. Coffee everything you expect from Costa. Only thing I'd change is the atmosphere, could do with a little decor or few house plants to make it a little more comfortable ( not that it isn't ok, but just could be improved)

Delivery driver was moaning very arrogant and self-centered and rang every freaking doorbell when I told him my doorbell number and it said it on the app my door number

I received great service today at Carr st branch, Ipswich from Powel. My drinks order was incorrectly made at first, he apologised for the mistake and delay, offered free slice of cake all with a smile. Good service is an exception rather than the rule these days. He made me feel like a valued customer, securing my return business

Was made to feel really unwelcome by a barista called poppy. Ignored and failed to acknowledge an addition to my order (i repeated 4 times she didn't turn her head once away from chatting to colleagues) then yapped that she'd heard me in a rude tone. Then threw my 55p change across the counter with an attitude. The people queuing behind me saw this and were pretty shocked enough to strike up a conversation about it. I've worked in coffee shops for 5+ years and even if I was having a had day I'd never act out like she did. Needs to take a good hard look in the mirror and give herself a reality check because some people aren't as patient as I am. Have complained on costa website and have been told the store managers name is Pav, who will also be told as well as the area manager once I find out their information. I hate to take it this far but I was with my son and husband looking to have a nice afternoon out and she ruined it. I spent £20 for vile customer service and lukewarm drinks.

I was a bit fed up as I wanted a skinny latte, stood in a queue for ages only to be told they had no skimmed milk!

Wrong order delivered entirely! Third time in a row something has gone wrong when ordering from Costa, you’d think I would learn by now…

This place is a stopping shop for the Roma aliens of Ipswich, go in but take a pair of ear defenders as these people can’t talk quietly!

I had a free coffee voucher and so I asked the barista to surprise me with his choice of hot drink. I wasn't disappointed!! Vanilla latte made with love, care and attention to detail. My only concern was another customer pointed out to staff that a pesky fly had been trapped under the plastic lid of a cake selection. This was removed and the cakes removed from sale....until we left the premises them watched through the window as said cakes were put BACK on sale!

Overall a good experience. Their coffee is neither here nor there. Although it tastes pleasant, it can be a bit bitter and is remarkably high in caffeine (which is typical of Costa). That's a perk if you're looking for a punchy brew. Their food is as you would expect, a quick and easy bite to eat that can be warmed up in some cases. Though not gormet, there is a nice range and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, so perfect when in a pinch or on a whim. The staff are very nice and provide a great service as well as being easy to approach with any queries. They're patient and helpful when ordering too! This Costa is very often busy, which hampers a chill café vibe, but there are plenty of seats and if you have some noise cancelling headphones or the ability to tune out, it's certainly a place you could relax, work or comfortably spend time with friends and family.

I want a full refund. The lid was put on incorrectly and it’s soaked all of my food and therefore made it in edible

The place seems dated now, needs a lick of paint and new furniture. I ordered my coffee and £5 breakfast wrap, expensive. Coffee, once I reminded the staff that I had ordered a coffee after they served three other people, tasted burnt. The wrap was ok but not good enough for the price. Won't be back.

I ordered to be delivered for work lunch at 12.10 the food arrived just before 1pm so we had no food for our lunch.

The restaurant didn't have 2 of my items so instead of ringing me and explaining they just assumed we wanted something else of which we didn't. Then added some items we also don't like/eat so instead of ringing and informing so I could cancel my order more food was wasted as we haven't eaten what was given.

Coffee was nice cake was good price was high which was the only downside

Great Hot Chocolate we had a great conversation with a Baptist here about Jesus Christ and the atonement he gave us it honestly was the best place good memories

Went in for a hot chocolate this evening, was served by Kurt who made the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had from Costa! Highly recommend going here to get the best drinks in Ipswich ☕️

Absolutely can't believe some comments, if you think this Costa is bad, then EVERY Costa in Ipswich is terrible. This, in my strongest of opinions, is the best Costa in Ipswich. And the reason is because the service is fast an efficient and because some staff from the original Debenhams Costa moved to this store. 😁

Ordered two babychino's for my toddlers. They were very hot! My older two children had them when they were small and they were always a drinkable temperature perfect for kids. Other than that, the service was very quick

Popped in here yesterday (Monday) with my mum and daughter at about 13:20. As usual, it was busy, but there were still places to sit. We all had a drink and something to eat, tasty and refreshing. The young lady who served was brilliant. She was totally on the ball and double-checked all of the orders being made by the other staff. Staff were frie dly and helpful.

Good place to have some food, snacks or something sweet. The only thing is they should care more about the cleaning, some places or even the tables are not the best.

I ordered hot chocolate it was cold I expected it to be warm as it called HOT chocolate I didn't want to go up as it was busy

Coffee/frappe can spilled.. toastie freezing cold. Very disappointed we only live 6 minutes from town. Unfortunately unable to go out because of having a newborn.

Absolutely amazing service. The Costa staff were so polite. We came in and my friend has a severe nut allergy in which the man at the counter, took out the allergen book and reassured my friend that the food and frappe we ordered had NO nuts in. The two Co workers, Oli and Kun I think their names were, I cannot thank them enough for their friendly and kind approach to our simple request. They then went out of their way very kindly to clean ALL the equipment and deep clean all the cookers to take extra precaution of my friends allergy. And to top it off they brought the food and drinks to our table and gave us extra reassurance that mine and my friends drinks and food were in no risk of contamination. If that isn't top service with care and consideration to their customers, I don't know what is. Thank you for making our visit such a unique experience!

Amazing service! I will come here again! I suffer with a severe nut allergy and when I told staff members Oli and Kun this, they brought out an allergens book and reassured me that the food and drink I ordered was nut free, and that they would both clean every surface and piece of equipment that would be used to make what I ordered. They were both extremely thorough with their cleaning and the gentlemen that served me brought my food and drink over to the table to reassure me again that it was all dealt with. They were both incredibly polite and understanding of the situation, and I am thankful that they took every precaution to make sure that my safety and enjoyability as a customer was 100%. Thanks again to Oli and Kun. You've really made my day! Give them a raise!

I live in Ipswich for 3 weeks and unfortunately this is the worst service of all such places. People treat their work negligently, there is always an unpleasant feeling after visiting, but the coffee is not bad

It was OK. Not enough big tables though the girl who served us didn't seem very friendly. Hot chocolates we had were nice though.

Stopped by with my daughter after her dentist appointment. Really friendly staff and made a hot chocolate for my daughter but made it the perfect temp by adding in a little cold milk.

Had a latte and meet up with a friend for a drink and chat, nice atmosphere.

Very unpleasant. The place is dirty and jaded and the staff are really indifferent to the customers. I used to go a lot but hate it now. If there was a place you were going to catch covid then it would be here.

My husband and I went today at 3 pm to have a coffee there and the barrista was really rude, she was banging the cups and the saucers. She was very angry making us lattes. We sat down and one of the members of staff came just next to us and he started cleaning the pictures on the wall. I felt some droplets of the spray he was using ,on my shoulders so I turned round, he didn't even apologise but he just said am not trying to disturb you then he carried on cleaning them. How rude and disgusting staff. I don't recommend that coffee at all.😡😡😡😡😡

To say everyone is on a high alert for cleanliness I used the facilities at this place and had to tell them there was no soap in the facilities. The dispenser wasn't in good order either it appeared to be broken as well. I mentioned it to a staff member who barely acknowledged me.

Popped in for a quick coffee, excellent service great coffee and during the current climate felt as ease..

Polite friendly staff just really busy

I am writing on the behalf of my dad. He visited here on Saturday when he was spending the weekend with me. He was sitting in the cafe drinking his caramel latte when a member of staff came to the table and picked up his coffee which wasn't finished, and threw it away! He wasn't impressed.

Besides the ridiculous price of food the customer service is atrocious. Very abrupt and non welcoming. First and last time coming here. The two women need to be retrained when it comes to hospitality!

I had the unfortunate experience of ordering coffee from this place before work this morning. I'm a disabled customer so wear headphones in places like costa due to sensory issues, more on this later. When ordering my coffee the first member of staff I spoke to was fine, perfectly friendly and polite, no problems at all. The second however, was another matter entirely. I've been to this place before and the guy always has a bit of an attitude. I don't know, maybe he's in a band on the side or he's running his own online vape shop or something, either way he's clearly meant for greater things than making your coffee. Today he was particularly bad and to be honest, outright offensive. He was continually smirking and laughing at me, didn't offer any of the usual toppings/extras, and when asked for them just started saying "I can't hear you? what? what?" and so on while laughing at me. Now earlier I mentioned that I wear headphones in loud places due to disability related sensory issues and on a previous visit I had struggled to hear this man due to this problem. To be openly mocked, before point blank told not to visit the store again by this man, is entirely unacceptable. It's hard enough to live with a disability without having to put up with open bullying from obnoxious staff in coffee shops. Formal complaint made.

Customer service.... I'm not sure they know what it is... as for covid safety measures the staff do not seem to follow them... one young staff member rubbing nose & face then handling my coffee not what I would call good hygiene normally not alone in a pandemic.

Such a lush Costa, the team are so friendly, the coffee is delicious and the wait times ( even in covid times ) are super short!

Requested mini cappuccinos, she gave me medium cappuccino's... Requested banana cake, she gave me lemon cake (how can it sound similar?). Never asked about my loyalty card... Everyone does mistakes, but customers should be treated better and it's not the first time...
