Great service from the staff cam and jarred very helpful and polite they brought my coffee to my table for as I can't walk very far they are asset to costa

A continental coffee shop that doesn't open before 10.00 am!!

Management here are dreadful and let down hard working staff. The managements indifference means alarms are constantly screaming and not turned off, the staircase is squeaking painfully loudly, and for years the management also haven’t bothered to fix the device for properly giving customers their due for loyalty points. The management here would get five stars only in their commitment for chasing customers away by making it as uncomfortable as possible due to sheer laziness and indifference. Which is unfair on the staff. The older male member of staff in particular is assiduous and hardworking in what must be needlessly challenging circumstances for him.

I describe this place as staff are friendly and polite and helpful towards you and the service is excellent.

The service we experienced when ordering was good, however as we had taken a walk down to the river front with the dog we had to sit outside which of course didnt mind as the weather nice. The problem we encountered was there was 4 of us so not an excessive amount but there wasnt enough chairs for the tables provided. There were 4 tables and approximately 8/10 chairs. As the weather was nice there were a few people wanting to sit outside. Very disappointed we couldnt sit and enjoy our drinks and cakes comfortably with conversation, we felt rushed and quick to leave. Drinks even though it was known we were foing outside were provide in china cups etc. Wont rush to visit again in the future.

Last time I visited Costa was better than the visit before. Bought 2 cakes for £4, cappuccino and a chocolate brownie frappe. All was lovely

Costa on Brayford Wharf is located in the lobby of the Odeon cinema. There are indoor and outdoor tables, with the outdoor tables having great waterside views. The food and drink is the standard Costa faire.

We came to Lincoln for an open day so had quite a long drive up. We got out the car to go to the university and stopped off at Costa on the way. Because of the wait we are now going to be late. Alicia, the woman serving us was lovely and it wasn’t her fault as she was going as fast as she could. The shop definitely needed more people working as two wasn’t enough and we were waiting for 15 minutes at the front of the queue just to be served. We probably wouldn’t have minded if we wasn’t in a rush but if you are don’t come here.

This branch of Costa doesn't redeem vouchers for free drinks and tell you after you've placed your order!

Great if quiet but might want to give it a miss if busy. They do not accept Costa gift cards. Other than that, fine, standard Costa coffee, would rank alongside those found in motorway service stations although the view is better.

It's fine, but I'd rather go to any other coffee shop. Perfectly serviceable if you're already going into odeon.

Only had coffee but always nice, the staff are friendly and polite.

It states on the web that it opens at 8.30am yet when I arrived to watch a film that started at 9.30am I got told it won’t open til 10am what is the point in having a film start when you can’t even grab a coffee to take in with you

It took 20 minutes to get our drinks, when they only had 4 people to serve 2 out of 4 of them was myself and husband. They then got my drink wrong and had to look through the handbook to see what I had ordered (which was on the menu) and they got that completely wrong but at this point we were about to miss our movie so I just took it and left

Every time i"m here, we use this as our last stop before the car park and the 2 hour drive. You can relax here, look over the river and enjoy the coffee!

Great drinks shame about the 20 minute wait with a queue of 3 people. Slowest Costa I've ever been too.

Love stopping in here for a cuppa and a babycino with my son on the way back from town, staff are always friendly and welcoming!

If you are GLUTEN FREE don’t bother going to Costa anymore ! Went in and was told that the normal gf range has been replaced with the festive sandwich’s that AREN’T gluten free. This seems really unfair and was very disappointing for my family who were looking forward to a family lunch.

Decent costa inside the odeon, good service and friendly staff. Only complaint would be the small amount of available seating but this is limited by the size of the establishment. Worth sitting down for lunch here.

This is an excellent little Costa in a popular setting. Always very clean, great coffee and food, and the young staff are very helpful and friendly. A credit to the Costa franchise. Recommended.

Although you can use your loyalty card, you can't redeem your free drinks. It's about time for the manager to take some action and start to appreciate customer needs.

Located on the brayford wharf with about 4 outside tables with waterside views, This Costa store is actually just inside the Odeon Cinema Complex,with a patio style/ bi-folding doors which actually opens up the inside 15 tables to the outside space on a hot day as it was when I visited. The Staff service was slow which I put down to a 5 or 6 drinks order infront of me which was a mix of iced coffee,fruit coolers & Frappes due to the extremely warm weather ,these can be time consuming to make but still the order was questioned by the customer as it was a drink short ! ...possibly a lack of communication between the 2 fellas on duty.I would advise to leave plenty of time if your planning to have a coffee before watching a film.I would like to thank the lady on ticket duty for the Odeon ,who allowed my wife through to use the toilet facilities wile I waited for a drink in the costa queue .

Would vote 0 stars if possible, went in for a coffee with family and there was no queue. Stood in front of the cash desk for 5 minutes only to be ignored by two members of staff. They were moving up and down the counter and just completely ignored us, until we left without ordering. Absolutely disgusted by the lack of service

Ordered 2 drinks, a large hot chocolate and a coffee, both were watery. The problem with franchises is that they cut corners while cashing in on the brand.

It's encouraging to see a greater selection of coffees, savoury and sweet items on the menu. We had a medium Americano which was very generous in size! Oat, soya, almond and coconut alternative milks are available if you don't want to support the cruelty and suffering in the dairy industry. The cafe has some comfortable seats and there is an outside area for customers to enjoy the warmer weather.

Visited lincoln Christmas market today was a lovely day so we thought we would finish with a nice hot chocolate and coffee. We waited to be served there was no que and there was a young guy and girl behind the counter we stood there for about ten minutes but we must Of turned ino the invisible women because a girl came straight upto the counter and got served by the young guy???? Think the service in there needs to change they need customer service skills.

Situated in the foyer of the Odeon Cinema the unique selling point of this venue is it's view over the canal basin. Large Windows give you a lovely vantage point to watch the world go by on a cold December day, warmed by the sun streaming through. The coffee was good too !

Very very slow service, queued for over 15 minutes with only two customers in front, drinks were excellent when we finally got them though.

Nothing out of the ordinary apart from it has a good location on the wharf and is nice to sit outside when the weather permits.

Attached to odeon cinema, clean and tidy, well spaced out tables, comfy chairs inside and out, overlooking the Bayford marina. Sanitising Station on entry and nhs track and trace. Excellent choice of drinks and food, greeted at the door. Friendly staff, would recommend a visit.

Tables cleaned ok but not the chairs

The young man in charge of the desk spoke condescendingly towards my family. Yelling at my mother with a mocking attitude when she just tried to ask for sugar. I saw him act in that same manner towards a few other people. Usually ladies with difficulty speaking in english. A shame since the food was good. I won't be coming back until that's fixed, and it seems that a few other families think the same.

The coffee here is consistently very nice However the food is a complete rip off it’s so expensive for what it is and makes it as expensive if not more expensive than going for a meal.

Costa inside the Odeon. Idea when you’re early for a film showing. Nice and clean with the usual menu. I had an Americanism and my son had a berry slush thing. Both perfectly good.

I always look forward to a coffee when watching a film but when I turned up tonight at 8.20 I was informed ‘we are closed’ . When I challenged that they are open until 8.30 I was told there are only 2 of us on ?!!?! Very disappointed

After a good meal a visit to Costa for a cuppa before the film. This is a small area in the foyer of the Odeon multiplex cinema. Very popular area, the staff are very helpful and efficient. A good place to meet, sit and talk with friends before going to see a film.

Usual Costa experience, but in the foyer of the cinema, so could be a bit noisy. Service a bit slow, but not unusually so.

Ok but not impressed with £2 for a shortbread biscuit and my latte was just like s flat white. Tables sticky and needed cleaning. Good stop off point in the foyer to the cinema but more customer care please!

Pretty standard. Staff are either very nice or just doing their job, which is fine. Sometimes hot drinks can be a little lukewarm, but cold drinks are usually fine. The seats and tables are tired, as is the carpet, but overall it’s a fine place to get a drink and sit down.

Great atmosphere & location to catch up with friends & family

Although there are now soya, almond and coconut alternatives to calves milk, we enjoyed a black Americano and a spot of people watching from a comfortable window seat. If you are feeling peckish there are savoury and sweet vegan options available.

Great little spot within the Odeon cinema, nice view, peaceful and staff very friendly and capable.

A good time visiting this costa coffee and most of the staff were relatively nice as well as the food (although a bit pricey). However there was one male member of the staff serving on the till who was very rude. He spoke to us in a very condescending manner and if you did not hear him or misunderstood him he would just stare at you it you answered his question. Everything you asked for had to be done in his order or not at all. He had no people skills and did not seem like the right person for the serving job. There was also a mix up of our order but the woman who made the drinks was very nice and was happy to fix it.

Went here on a Friday lunchtime. Relatively quiet but took forever to get drinks and food. Coffee cup came half full so sent it back and panini was cold in the middle. The whole place was dated and dirty. Won’t be returning

As soon as we arrived one of the staff brought a bowl of water for Jupiter. We had chai lattes and everyone helped us get in and around. I don’t know what Costa does but they always seem to have great staff.

RIP off. Don’t rate them at all. Massively over priced coffee and snacks. It’s like sitting in Mac Donald’s drinking coffee. But with more pretentious people using laptops?? Why?? I fact go to Mac Donald’s and do exactly the same for a quid. And coffee tastes better!!! People sit in the places because they think it’s trendy. Waste of money. And always a bit dirty. Meh

There's an event on the Bradford this morning, meaning the line for coffee was long. The staff were absolutely amazing in customer acknowledgment and dished out some friendly banter to keep spirits up. Genuinely left the store with a smile on my face. A good coffee and extremely friendly service. Good job.

We went to meet friends. Was very friendly atmosphere and all staff where helpful. Not a place I go alot as don't drink coffee but the iced summerberry drink was lovely.

I know I have written a review before but I went to Costa Coffee again when I went to the cinema with my father. The service was quick and the two people working were very friendly and relaxed which I liked.

Amazing service, really friendly staff!

Yes I know that having a fresh coffee is always a timely business but it seemed slower than usual here. I ordered a toasted teacake when I finally got to the till but it turned up sometime before my coffee was ready as the person in front had to wait for several cups to arrive and only one person was making the drinks. By the time it was my turn the teacake had gone cold! I asked for another and the staff were polite and took it back but again I waited so long for it to arrive at the table, by that time my coffee was cool. I didn't enjoy this Costa experience as much as I do in my usual Costa in Newark. The floor needed sweeping and lots of tables needed clearing, I suppose the staff were doing their best with so few staff!

Standard costa, service was prompt but staff were a little joyless.

Slow service. My main gripe, however was the utterly FILTHY state of the coffee prep area; Dirty dishcloths draped over equipment, puddles of old coffee, everything needed a good old wipe down with a clean cloth. I would not have had food here, it didn't look clean enough. Not indicative of other Costas in the area which are my coffee shop of choice, but not this one.

Have been to many Costa's throughout the country and St Marks Lincoln serves consistently the best coffee , staff always friendly & polite . The shop is always clean & tidy.

Costa coffee is situated inside the Odeon Complex, so when there's a good film on it can get very busy and because your coffee or each order is made individually it can seem slow but that's the nature of having fresh coffee made for you. If your in a hurry and there is a queue don't wait because you will only moan about the service and it's not fair on the lovely staff. The staff in here are the most friendly I have come across and they will go out of their way to keep you happy. I have a latte with my shots on the side extra hot and they are always happy to oblige, if fact most of the time they ask if I would like my usual which makes you feel special. Well done Costa on the brayford Lincoln.

This coffee shop is within the Odeon Cinema and is somewhere where my dad and I will go before we go to the cinema.

Visited for a quick coffee whilst waiting to meet family. This costa is part of the Odeon cinema complex but overlooks the wharf - they have bifold doors to open the front up giving a great view of the water. Friendly service - usual Costa coffee - made for a nice coffee break.

This branch of Costa is part of the Odeon Complex on the river. It is open, light and friendly, and a good place for coffee seekers. There is outside seating with views over the water. Quite a good range of cakes, and quick service. No table service - you have to wait for your order, but that's how Costa works. I notice they ask whether you want your coffee small, medium or large, where 'small' actually stands for normal, or plenty large enough for most people! I could easily become a regular here.

I am pleased to find a coffee shop where they are not cramming in as many customers as they can get. This is a nice airy space where you can take time out to enjoy a cup.

This branch of Costa Coffee is just inside the foyer of the Odeon Cinema and therefore is a good place to stop and have a snack before seeing a film. There is nothing special other than that. We had a sandwich and coffee. The service is as good as other branches but the speed that tables are cleared requires improvement.
