Costa in Reading

Best coffee in Town! I know it’s Costa and it’s everywhere, but it matters who is making the coffee and here I get the most tasty coffee from Town! The team it’s amazing, always with a good vibe and always happy to help!

Staff all working hard and pleasant on Saturday. Recommended.

Quick and friendly service. Clean and inviting inside although seating is limited. Nice location on corner of high street.

Avoid with all cost if you care about your health. Asked for a DECAFF (i can't have normal coffee) and staff gave me a normal one telling me is a DECAFF. I felt seriously sick after one hour and went to emergency. I'm intending to take them to court.

It is a small and crowded place. But otherwise same as any other Costa.

In this day and age, you would think that customer service would be friendly to those that are disabled, especially to those that have hidden disabilities that might need to use toilets quite regularly. Disappointingly this is not the case for this branch of Costa Coffee. Even after you say to them that you have a hidden disability and ask to use the disabled loo, they look you up and down judging you for where your disability might be and then they have to ask the manager who does the same! Utterly discriminatory.

Very small place, no toilet. But good location. In the town center.

I liked it a lot, I went with my girls and they loved the muffins and chocolate for children, the waitresses were lovely

Small location for such a big town. Nicely situated thou. Corner location, few tables inside and 3 or 4 outside. Everything you would expect from Costa. Staff were disorganised on the day of my visit, more interested in their phones than work. And I'm not sure about staff emptying the bins outside and bringing it past were you're eating and drinking. I didnt appreciate it. 3 Stars, definitely room for improvement!

Very friendly staff who was very polite to myself and other customers high quality drinks was made for me (large latte, chocolate frap) nice clean shop no dirty tables great lighting highly recommend this costa

I can not fault the staff or the coffee. The staff are always very helpful and friendly and the coffee is great. However I have one complaint and that is no toilet facilities. That's not the fault of the staff so doesn't stop me using this Costa branch.

They sell coffee. Avoid the food. As my gran would say “let’s go to Starbucks instead”

Standard Costa chain, quick service. Coffee was good

A small Costas, with inny and outy seating. The staff are polite, quick and competent. I usually visit 2-3 times a week. Try the flat white Colombian lots of flavour but little acidity. Only minor issue is I find most of the cakes/pastries a little too sweet but that is a matter of individual taste and the savoury eats hit the spot nicely.

Had a honeycomb latte sat outside with a friend & it was very pleasant even though the weather was not the best :-)

Fast service, normal costa prices. Great to pop into if your bus is delayed or on the way to work

No acepta efectivo, lo cual es patético porque mi amiga tiene necesidades especiales y no se le puede confiar tarjetas de crédito / débito y el pésimo personal ni siquiera la escucha. ¡Por el amor de Dios, PERMITA dinero en efectivo para aquellos que tienen necesidades especiales! Su madre no le confía uno y yo no los llevo porque estoy seguro con el dinero. Pero escribo en nombre de mi amigo. Estaba llorando por falta de comprensión y por el hecho de que teníamos que irnos. Sea consciente de aquellos con necesidades adicionales.

Very good food and drinks. Fairly small cafe so not huge amount of seating. Staff are very hard working and it shows.

Compare to other costas this one is quite dirty, no baby changing facilities.

I love this costa - it’s probably one of the best ones in reading! I always come in the morning and the ladies there are aaaalwaaays so nice! Great customer service!

Very small Costa consequently very little seating indoor and the outdoor seating seems to have a permanent reservation by some people .

It is nice place around the corner staff is friendly but they only keep limited stuff , you have Starbucks , pret manager and other shops just next door

Fairly consistent coffee know what you getting as is a big chain.

I asked for a medium roast coffee. What I got was bitter and nasty. I take 2 sugars in coffee but I needed 10 to mostly neutralise the bitternest and make this just barely drinkable. Considering this is a coffee shop. I advise getting anything other than coffee here. Hot chocolate is a safer bet!

Good coffee, staff willing to help. Always find the takeaway cups are too hot as I get an americano black there's no milk to cool the drink. Some branches use 2 cups, but Costa should come up with a better solution. Loyalty points systems goes offline too frequently

Staff changes too often. It's a hit and miss what your coffee will taste like. Recently switched from costa to that independent coffee shop next to Starbucks. Better coffee and better paid staff. #supportlocal

I know it's a chain... But they are consistent, so you know what you're getting. This one's no better or worse than the next one. I'll go back time and again, guess i must be wired like that.

Primera vez aquí, desde hace bastante tiempo. Solía ​​venir aquí con más frecuencia. El miércoles me dieron mi "bebida" de Americana negra, era un día soleado, disfruté de sentarme afuera. Entré para informar al personal, amablemente comprobaron que estaba bien, me pidieron que volviera a mi asiento afuera, limpiaron el desorden (los accidentes pueden suceder) reemplazaron mi Americana por una nueva. Me gustó mucho la reacción rápida del personal y el buen servicio.

compact@angular Costa right on the corner of the Butter Market, tried the new Flat Black for the first time. its a black coffee. the seating outside is always popular when the sun is shining. ideal for drinking and smoking. been here a hundred times, its a Costa..

I don’t normally drink in Costa as I don’t like the taste of the coffee as I find it too harsh, but the children needed substance so we nipped in here. Staff greeted us with a smile and were polite and friendly. The cakes felt fresh and tasted nice and the children obviously thought they were edible. Clean and tidy for a central location

Friendly staff but Their cappuccinos can be hit or miss. Nothing worse than a “wet” cappuccino

Enjoyed a coffee and pastry here; coffee was not served very hot - was immediately replaced with a hot beverage. I was impressed!

This is located inside the Debenams in the Oracle in Reading, so you can stop off after a long walk around the shops. It's located near the exit/entrance and is easy for the less abled to come in and order and relax. The furniture is good standard wood and steel with comfortable chairs and on this visit was very clean. I did notice that the staff were very fast in ensuring that the tables were clean after the customers had left. The service was ok and I had a nice welcome and all looked happy. There is seating for at least perhaps 20 people and of course the selection of snacks, sandwich and cakes looked all nice and fresh. This place will appeal to all folk and couples and families. The lighting was good and there is free WiFi for those like me that need to keep connected and write these reviews. I am happy with the service and would come again..

Usually quicker service than the other town centre Costas. Usually friendlier staff too. Can get crowded but that must be a good indicator, especially as there are at least 3 other coffee shops within 50 metres

Their product is not good. Their marketing policy is determental to workers in the commercial contracts they take. They overcharge for poor product

There is not a huge amount to say about this branch. It doesn't stand out. But if you are a fan of Costa's it is conveniently located and appears to be disabled friendly. Reasonably spacious

ONE(!) high chair in this busy central Reading Costa!! Other families were also struggling! No longer a fan!
