I waited for 15-20 mins for inedible thick bread. I just ordered toast because it takes them ages to bring any food out. And they did it again even with toast. How? Plus Id need a horse mouth to even bite that bread they served me. I left it. Didn’t even get given jam or honey, just wrapped up butter. Been here a few times now and it’s never busy but always takes soooo long to get any food. I’ve had eggs Benedict before which were good enough I guess. I do think this cafe is overpriced though. A pot of tea & “toast” cost me just under £7. I ended up going to Tesco cafe were I got a full English breakfast for under £6 and in half the time. By the way, I told the waitress I’m leaving the toast because it’s rock solid and ridiculous. She said “oh sorry” but didn’t offer me a refund or to get me something else. So not great at resolving complaints there.

My husband and I have just had a lovely lunch at Coselea Cafe Bar. The food we ordered was certainly very fresh and we enjoyed service with a smile. Looking forward to returning soon!

Just been to Cosalea Cafe Bar for breakfast after seeing good reviews. We won’t be going back. Got there bang on 10am and were the first customers there. Nobody around. After 5 mins of hovering and shouting into the back, someone appeared to take our order. Ordered a ham and tomato omelette and poached eggs on brown toast with advocado and bacon. After 20 mins, and after we had finished the coffees we had ordered, he came over to tell us they had no mushrooms. Told him there weren’t any mushrooms in any of our dishes so not bothered he hasn’t got any. After a further 25 mins, breakfast arrived. A burnt omelette and advocado on underdone white toast and without the bacon. No apologies - all in all took us 50 mins from arriving to get our food - considering we were the first there and to order, was shocking. Oh and my soggy toast with egg and advocado cost £7.95…. Wouldn’t mind if it was actually what I’d ordered! Don’t normally do negative posts but don’t waste your money… or time

The managers Troy, Kendal, and staff are attentive, well-dressed and well-groomed They are responsive to their customer needs, provide good customer service that is both courteous, prompt and quick, checking on their customers often; they make the 'dining experience' more personal, and are always willing to go that 'extra mile'. The food is of a high quality and has a good flavour, aroma, appearance, and texture. The Eagle and Child is a 'must' visit, you will not be disappointed! Ho can you improve on perfection..................YOU CANNOT!!!
