Brilliant pasties and also tried the pizza which was amazng and also the toasted paninis and again, excellent. Really friendly guy in charge and made us feel very welcome. Even let my 8 year old have a free panini because we were so polite. 🤣 Went back 2 more times the food was so good. Wish I lived closer ( I don't think they deliver to the east end!) Highly recommend 👌

We used the Cornish Pasty shop on the harbourside at St Ives on a Tuesday lunchtime in May during a weeklong visit to Cornwall. The shop has a very good range of pasty fillings but being my first ‘real’ pasty of this trip, I opted for the traditional. We also ordered a cup of coffee each and found a bench facing the harbour to enjoy our lunch. I thought that the pasty was very nice, reasonably priced and just what was needed to keep us going. Would certainly recommend to others.

We called and bought pasties earlier in the week and have to say they were excellent. We enjoyed them so much we decided to buy another later in the week whilst out and about but it was a different bakery and there was no comparison.

No idea what some of the bad reviews are on about. You might be forgiven for not knowing who you're dealing with ; this simply says "Cornish Pasty Shop" per the awnings, to find it on Google Maps you need to use "Cornish Pastry Shop", the chain is definitely Cornish Bakehouse... who you find online at cornishkitchen.com. Either way, had clocked they carried "World Championship" winning pasties in the past (from noted supplier Cornish Premier Pasties) and swung by on a visit to St Ives. I had the Red Thai Chicken which boasts all the aromatic, creamy, sweet spice you'd hope for, and my better half really enjoyed her cheese & bacon. Will definitely be back.

I was born and bred in Cornwall and have been back home visiting my family, who all still live here, over Easter. We bought pasties, a crab sandwich and a pizza from here yesterday and what a dreadful experience it was. I ordered everything together and they informed me that the pizza would be 15 mins. They had already bagged up the pasties so I asked if they could keep them warm for me. They looked at me vaguely and kind of grunted a response, so I presumed that they had placed them somewhere to keep them warm. Meanwhile, I went to go up the steps into the shop to ask a question just at the time that an arrogant man (maybe the owner) was calling out an order number. He ushered me out of the way very rudely and then failed to make any eye contact with me to communicate after the customer had collected their order. When our pizza was ready and I went to collect it (along with the crab sandwich and the pasties), they did not hand me any pasties. When I asked for them (from a different person) he collected them from the side where they had been sat getting cold for the past 15 mins!! I asked him if they were still warm and he said ‘I don’t know- I didn’t serve you’!! So so rude. The pasties were luke warm and the chicken pasty was absolutely vile. It was extremely dry (like it had been sat there for hours) and there was hardly any filling in it. The pizza was ok but it seemed like the base was a bought homemade one, yet they were advertised as stone baked?! And the crab sandwich…. Well… it was vile. Cheap, dark brown crab meat that was tasteless and smothered with a cheap tasting Marie Rose sauce that must have been full of E numbers judging by its unnatural colour! Please…. When visiting this summer, don’t support this awful business in St Ives. It is an absolute embarrassment ti this beautiful town and I don’t want you to get fooled. If they treat a local the way they did, then who knows what patience and time they will have for the many tourists that might visit over the busy summer season? The place was staffed by young people who have no idea about customer service and the man over seeing all this is just a rude person who serves no purpose but to fleece the tourists (and locals) for poor quality food with a dreadful attitude to their customers. Avoid avoid avoid!!

not the best pasties, but the service is so rude and unfriendly, it makes the pasties taste bitter. Very sad experience for us, tourists for the first time in the famous St Ives. We have been treated very poorly here, coming from so far. It's really surprising this is a tourist town with such poor service. We wonder whether people were unfriendly towards us for not being British? Whatever the reason, very sad and not coming back here. Moreover the weather is terrible.

By now I guess Cornwall has worked out what tourists want their pasties to be. These were ok, but not great, lacked much meat, under seasoned, maybe a bit modest in the size. Ok price, given quite how central the shop is, but I felt I was buying from a tourism outlet, not a pasty shop that a local would know and love... didn't find any such place in St Ives. Ran out of crab as well, so only a 50% success rate on local tuck.

The locals describe a good pasty as ‘Ansum. I had a cheese and mushroom pasty, still warm from the oven. It was delicious and well filled. As it’s mainly a take away, with a window for passers by, the service didn’t affect the experience, other than being quick, pleasant and efficient. There were lots of meat varieties and many vegetarian options which was unexpected. It was a good snack and cost £3.15 which was ok. As production is spread over many fillings, and batch made, there were NO gluten free options. It was still handsome!

St. Ives was quiet during our visit in December. The sky was gloomy and light rain came on and off. After walking around, we were ravenous. We spotted the cozy, welcoming warm-looking pasty shop and went in and bought some. Pasties come in three sizes - small, medium and large. We settled for the traditional pasties. I had the same experience as another reviewer,Julie S. I had ordered our pasties but when I handed over my money which was a £20 note from bank in Northern Ireland, they would not accept it. They said it might be a fake but when I assured him it was genuine he said it was company policy not to accept Irish money. I tried to explain it was sterling and in fact was not Irish but British. Why they don't get one of the pens or scanners to check the notes I don't know. Nowhere else in any other part of Cornwall has refused our money. It was very embarrassing to be humiliated in a queue like this. Thankfully I had enough loose change to pay but if it hadnt been for the fact that the pasties looked so nice I would have walked away. The pasties were lovely but not worth the embarrassment caused. I would not return here for this reason and could get similar pasties which are just as good elsewhere.

We visited this place to enjoy a traditional Cornish Pasty for lunch. We were sat outside eating and watching the world go by. OK so far. It had been raining and an elderly German couple asked if the table next to us was free. The seats were wet and the lady let the guy in the shop know. He thrust a roll of paper into her hand and told her to wipe it herself. After we helped her out we sat and had a friendly chat with her and her husband. Lovely couple. On finishing the food and drink the German man collected the wrappings from the table and took them to the shop and was told that there was a bin across the road and to take them over there. The staff in this place need educating in customer service. We found ourselves embarrassed and apologising for English rudeness! We returned to the area two days later, but decided on somewhere else for lunch.

small place with many kind of tasteful pasties, a lot of panini and baguette sandwiches, staff is very friendly and helpful, just a shame that they cannot sell beer

Having scouted out a few different places and decided on trying the pasties from the Cornish Pasty Shop. There was plenty of choice and the staff were friendly. My wife had a chicken and chorizo and really enjoyed the flavour combination and I had the traditional steak one. It was yummy although a little hot! But then again it's better for it to be hot than cold! Fab little place.

I am a Cornish lad who loves a pasty and this was by far the best I've had in a very long time! I had a traditional steak that was awesome!

We visited the Cornish Pasty Shop on the wharf on several occasions during our visit to St Ives. The selection of pasties is staggering, but we preferred to stay traditional! You can also buy pizzas and hot and cold drinks. Should you want to take a taste of Cornwall home with you' they offer 12 pasties for the price of 10.

Visited on our holiday to St Ives this year and in 2012 and the recipe hasn't changed a bit. Really good pasties at a good price considering the tourist status of St Ives. Always consistent and we'll made! Five stars!

We bought lunch from here to eat on the beach. Best pizzas in town, made fresh and only about £7.00 for quite a big pizza. The panini and pasties were also really good value. Shame there's not more seating.

This is a great place for a quick bite. There is a fantastic range of: baguettes, pasties, pizza and salads plus other options besides.Service is also quick and the food all freshly prepared to order. I would really recommend trying this place out if you are in the area and feeling peckish.

Personally I like the pasties here. There is a good selection and I haven't had a bad one. The customer service isn't brilliant but serving pasties all day must get boring. There are 3 of the shops within close proximity of each other.

so looked forward to a traditional Cornish pasty. My girlfriend bought one from here and it was rubbish. It was full of onion and potato. Speaking to locals they say to go to the Yellow Canary in the main high street. This place is only surviving because of its prime location. Shame on you, start looking at the reviews, there's a big clue!

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

Went for a coffee and was told could only have take away as it was 15:40 on a Sunday, my wife and I are both disabled and I have an ostomy and asked to use the loo and was told I could only if I buy something, so it cost me 7 quid for two takeaway coffees just to use the loo....thanks national trust

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽‍♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x
