Cornish Cafe in Harlow

Small portions, terrible catering sausages and hard overcooked eggs. The staff were rude when my pal complained. Also the bread was stale and the margarine tasted like axel grease. They was also charging gourmet prices for a sub par poorly cooked ingredients. To top it off the tea was rubbish as well. The worst cafes I've visited without exception.

I was waiting for my car wheel to be fixed, so popped in here for a drink. Saw that they sell pancakes and thick milkshakes - lovely! The vanilla milkshake was bought to my table first. Nice and thick and cold. Very tasty. Good start. Then the strawberry pancakes arrived. My face dropped. They were American style thick pancakes, two of them next to each other on a dinner plate. On top of each was one sliced strawberry. And that was it! No cream, no sauce, no syrup. Only sugar on the table. The pancakes were very dry. So much so, I poured half of my milkshake on them. Didn’t really help. The napkin I was given was one of the paper hand towels you get in public toilets! The milkshake was £3.80, not unreasonable these days. The pancakes? £6!!! For that, I expected an awful lot more. Two strawberries and some batter, for £6. Complete rip off. I don’t know what their cooked food is like, but please don’t bother with the pancakes - bland and extremely overpriced.

Stopped by whilst having motorcycle tyres fitted, only live up road and always passing-what a great establishment! Quick/Friendly and good food-will back!

Super little cafe, good food, comes hot at a good price Service is superb. Use with confidence Lots of choice and better than a mcdonalds!!

Very good service and lovely family run cafe I highly recommend the belly buster and the all day breakfast 10/10 will be coming back

Amazing food and amazing service!!! Food was great cooked how I asked and even made the order complicated as I wanted my breakfast awkward and I was amazed they got it perfect and the coffee is amazing and smoothies too!!! Belly buster is the perfect breakfast ❤️

They ask you what you would like to drink as soon as you walk which I like no messing 👍 Food was great service was great

Says it opens at 7am but everytime we've been there in the last 2 weeks it's always closed and that's been at around 7:30am!!

The staff are amazing…. Extremely friendly and helpful… We’ve eaten here a lot lately as we have had great food and service on every visit… We can’t fault them…. Ohhh and try the milkshakes…❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great cafe, first time here today with my son. Prices are more than reasonable and the food was decent as well, big portion sizes. Friendly atmosphere from the staff as well, made us feel welcome. Definitely come back again

Me and the hubby went here after a morning at the hospital. He had a fry up (they forgot his bread and butter) I had cheese on toast with a sausage. I can't even explain how bad it was. Pretty sure it had been done in the microwave as it came out stodgy with a pool of oil in the middle. As well as 2 coffees they had the audacity to charge us 25 quid . Not one person asked what was wrong or why hadn't I ate it, or even a .."can i get you something else"? when they took my plate away. Great service goes a long way in my book and I give most places the benefit of the doubt and try it again but this place is a health hazard!

Absolutely a 100 % rip of.So expensive for what you get £10.50 for what's in the picture.Much better quality for less ££ elsewhere avoid

I visit the Cornish Cafe for breakfast whenever I’m in Harlow, I’ve tried most of their breakfast options and today went for poached eggs on toast with tomato’s, they were superb. The staff are also first class.

A load of rubbish £7.75 for a greasy sandwich with 3 fillings asked for a toastie and got a vile greasy sandwich with barely any ketchup. Disgusting food and disgusting prices. Needs to be shut down

Where to start. £10 for a breakfast with was sooo greasy and made everything taste funny and the table was still dirty from before definitely not worth it

We visited this place for lunch as it was near the shops we were visiting. All I can say is, if you want quality food at a decent price, give this place a miss.. so expensive for well below average food, not very clean.

Haven't visited for a long time, but I still see their prices are too high for a greasy spoon. Was very underwhelmed. Not surprising it's almost always empty

Just eaten the best pizza I have ever had, staff absolutely fantastic, food fresh and amazingly cooked to perfection, strongly recommend eat in or delivered to your door, I ate in and couldn't have been treated better, will be coming back with friends , Thank...

would class as a transport café ordered 2 bacon and egg sandwiches the eggs were completely flat like an omelet and on dry bread
