Cornhill Bridgwater in Sedgemoor

Very good in comparison to others. Chips were still hot. Burgers were hot (although I did get the wrong burger) and tasty. Coke was ice cold.

Used to be the best food in the pub in town, become the worst...

A nice pub in the centre of Bridgwater, recently updated inside, plenty of TVs to watch sport good food and good service worth a visit if you're looking for some food or a drink if you're in Bridgwater town centre.

Waited nearly 2 and a half hours for my food to arrive. And when it did arrive it was all inedible.

Probably about the best pub in bridgwater , food is quite good , it's quite modern , only problem is when it gets busy their isn't enough bar staff on , lots of tvs to watch the sport as well , half decent beer garden out the back, I use it quite regular on the w.ends

Had a small breakfast but the sausage didn't really have any colour on it, and 4 tiny button mushrooms was a bit silly.. I'd rather they didn't bother. Apart from that it was okay.

I actually came to eat steak. Not available on menu! Burger chosen. Big mistake. Tasted like completely unseasoned meat. Horrible. Managed to eat half after smothering it in brown sauce. Burgers at Wetherspoons are far better. I clearly made a mistake tonight.

Popped in with my daughter, we had a coffee. Nice pub, friendly staff, and the coffee was very good

Did not get all the order. Ordered chicken strips and got onion rings instead. Asked for a burger without cheese, and it came with cheese.

Really gone downhill of late. Not cleaning their lines enough at all. Bad pint of lager last Friday. Was swapped for a decent pint. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and went in again today. Another bad pint. And the replacement was bad too. I've worked in pubs and not cleaning your lines is pure laziness and complete lack of respect for your customers.

Mirko and his team are absolutely brilliant, super friendly and quick service. The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant and would say that the cornhill is the best place to watch all the upcoming Euro matches. The decorations and vibe are just 10/10. Pretty cool place for a beer,unfortunately expensive for a pint

Portion sizes ain’t great considering I ordered a 2 person meal, Freezing cold chips not enough seasoning, chicken was cold and not much sauce and buffalo chicken burger didn’t have much sauce either was dry and forgot my dipping sauce so couldn’t even add it myself terrible experience

5* service, the staff are class and in my opinion it’s the best pub in town, family friendly pub and caters for all sport fans with over 10 screens that show both sky sports and BT sport.

I ordered through Uber eats, they gave me the complete wrong order with missing items, and when I called in for my actual order they said the only way they’d do it is if I came and collect it, unfortunately I don’t drive and that’s why I ORDERED it 👍

I'm one of a group of regular Cornhill Quizzers who enjoy a bit of banter and brain exercise. The rivalry is friendly, the quizmaster cheeky, and the atmosphere exciting. Always a lovely evening.

I had a full English a few times now most have been really good at a reasonable price but once it was quite bad. The service has always been excellent, so on the whole a good intown pub to visit.

Staff are very friendly and helpful food is amazing. Perfect for family meals or just to meet up with a few mates and have a few pints. Highly recommended

Stayed most of the day, was great to come in and have food with the family and watch the sports and later on be able to stay and drink some nice cocktails and dance on the dance floor since they have a dj

My quiz team “All beer no brains” come here every Thursday, it’s a nice environment extremly friendly staff and amazing food. Would happily recommend this as anyone’s local pub or a place to go to for a night out.

Had a great night on Sunday as they were hosting both a quiz and a karaoke night! The DJ was getting singers up pretty quickly and I enjoyed the Hunter's BBQ Chips. Top notch service from the staff.

Best sports pub in town! The new manager of a year has a clear vision on making it so with enthusiasm and promotion, making local sports fans feel United in an exciting atmosphere. Cracking staff who engage and swiftly serve a fresh cold pint to customers. Definitely recommend an 8 pint beer tower to share with friends and ordering by the app so you can be sure to not miss a second of your favourite sports, you can also order grub to your table making it the perfect place to watch live sport in front of the many TVs they have!

Staff were amazing, went above and beyond to make a fuss of us and our new born baby! Food was excellent value for money and arrived piping hot and quickly. Beer was good value as well. Enjoyed the little Sun trap of a patio at rear. Will visit again and bring all my friends!

Always a pleasure coming to the cornhill. Mirko, Saul, Keli and the team make it a dream for us pub quizzers especially on a Sunday when the Karaoke has been launched and the quiz is being kept on, in a separate area from the singing! Perfect place for sport and the like

Visited on the light switch on. Clearly the staff had underestimated how busy it was going to be as there was only 4 staff on with a completely full pub lots of dirty tables and food taking 45 mins to come out partly because there was only one person working the floor. No issues with the staff that served me and the drinks and food were fine.

The burger was lovely. The chips would of been awesome but unfortunately the got cold in transit. Solid 8 out of 10 from me

Slight delay on the food, due to short staff but that's no ones fault and can't be helped, the staff were amazing about it, and gave us a free round, which was good of them. Food was really nice. The delay just gave us longer to have a natter so was all good. Will definitely be going back.

Busy during Bridgwater carnival but we'll set up for it with plenty of bar staff. Dint have to wait too long and the staff were busy but freindly. Good range of beers and ciders. Food looked good but the wait was over an hour if you hadn't booked in advance so we just had a drink.

My food was extremely burned i could hardly eat it and no number to call for the restaurant to ask for another order to be sent out

Took my son for lunch today. The food was very good but we waited well over 20 minutes when it wasn't even busy. Also, the food wasn't hot when we got it, more lukewarm. Still, it was very tasty and good value. The barman was very polite and helpful (10/10 for service) and the atmosphere was pleasant. What knocks it down for me are the gents toilets- they are disgusting and more attention needs to be paid to keeping them clean. Overall, would definitely come back and would recommend it for a budget bite to eat.

Two of us came into the Cornhill Pub just shortly before 12pm, fairly quiet it seemed there were 3 managers on shift, standing round one table, and 2 staff members. We had ordered food a few minutes after we came in, I ordered through the app and the other ordered at the bar. I waited 40 minutes before getting my food, which was simply a mac and cheese. My partners food came 20 minutes before mine did, which was the 3-bean burger - the wooden stick that holds the burger together was stabbed all the way through, and wasn’t visible at the top. It was a good job my partner took apart the burger, otherwise it would’ve become a choking hazard. The pub itself looked nice, but the food and the wait times at a fairly quiet time let it down. We will not be returning in a rush.

Food is okay, classic pub food, drinks are refreshing and staff are helpful. A pub atmosphere depending on time of day if it’s busy or quiet.

Will never order again from this place. Tracking the order said our food was 10 mins away, then 11, then 12 etc .... you get the picture. Food was cold and soggy. I had to put it in my air fryer to make it edible. I was actually trying to cancel my Paypal payment when it eventually arrived. We were beyond eating when it arrived, just nibbled to fill a gap. Never again.

Ordered a chicken tikka, the tikka tasted watery and more like bolognese, it came with no rice so the amazing waiter/ manager? Asked if I wanted chips, the coke was good but then I started to eat, noticed the TINY pita bread and it was cold, the chicken was undercooked and so I spat it out and asked for a refund, the waiter was amazing but damn!!

Arrived on a weekday afternoon to a fairly empty pub. Ordered two meals which took over half an hour to arrive (1 was a sub and the other was chicken and rice) When the food arrived the sub had two items missing and we opted for the "topped nachos" which arrived plain. (Untopped) I took it to the bar to have it rectified but, after another twenty minutes it still hadn't been returned. I requested a refund for the sub which I received with a half hearted apology and no explanation to where our order had gone. Probably the worst customer service I've ever had and will not be returning.

Certainly disappointed... Waited half an hour for all day breakfast for myself and grandson.. food was cold.. apart from hash brown that burnt the face off you.. toast was cold and like a biscuit.. couldn't cut sausages let alone chew. Beans and mushrooms cold. Had drunk my coffee while waiting the half hour for food. Didn't want to make scene at time as was a treat for grandson going out for lunch so didn't want him feel bad see me complain. But I certainly won't be back.

Popped in for a quick bite with the Mrs on a Sunday afternoon. After ordering our food my partner decided to change her mind on what she ordered. The chap at the bar who took my order quickly rectified this without an issue. 10 minutes later Kelli approached our table to inform us there was a mixup in the kitchen and only one meal was ready and would we like it now or wait for the other to be ready. We chose to have it as she only offered to keep it under a heat lamp (no thanks) When the meal arrived we noticed 2 items missing but she had scuttled away rather quickly and didn't catch her. When she returned with the second meal the same 2 items were missing. I complained about this and all she did was go on her walkie-talkie as walking away. No apology, no communication whatsoever. As my partner finished her meal and I was about halfway through mine, she appeared with the missing items. She then muttered "sorry about that" and walked off. So all in all, absolutely shocking customer service and we won't be returning. I suggest Kelli gets some customer service training, or changes her job as it's obviously not her strong point.

Sad review but true Ordered chicken and bacon burger Went to bar to order another drink £3 for pint of coke zero no other option on tap of coke how strange ? Spoke to team member regarding my bacon was missing reply yeah there isnt any im guessing you wasnt told nope Food was dry pub wasnt busy was wait on good and over 45 minute wait on desserts had to prompt team members asking where desserts was there said few minutes and it arrived at longer than few minutes Dessert was dry didnt finish it I feel staff need a shake up standard have dropped sad to see on a very popular pub There was no apology regarding any of this so just annoyed Of service and lack of communication

Great environment, and amazing locals that come in for the quiz last Thursday on the 13th. Staff is very enthusiastic and well mannered which made the experience 10x better. Food was amazing, came out at a very reasonable time even due to how busy it was! Very great experience and would really recommend anyone to go and give it a try!

Went early evening for a pre-dinner pint. Very pleasant. Good prices. Music in background but not too loud. Tvs showing sport but not too in face. Lots of space.

I was list for words. First time in what can I say. The atmosphere was amazing and welcoming. The meal was amazing and very delicious. I loved the whole vibe of this place. Nicest pub I've been to on a long time. The katsu burger was epic and very filling. 10/10. Will be back when im back up in Bridgwater area. RECCOMEND

Visited early this afternoon ordered scampi with chips peas and lemon the food arrived quickly but wasn't as much on plate as I expected however still good service and good food I will be visiting again soon
