Corner Room in Erewash

Went here for a catch up with friends and went to order food and drinks. When they brought the drinks over they had forgotten mine so, I had to tell them what I had ordered again. The menu had been cut down from the last time I was there, so not a lot of choice. The food was ok nothing to shout about .

The corner room has Very friendly staff who are very accommodating to all needs , food was lovely an quick service . Very calming atmosphere Would recommend thank you

The young girl with blonde hair was fab. Working really hard. The man who I believe might be the manager made me feel really uncomfortable as he was very abrupt and rude. He was behind the bar and myself and my partner got our breakfast but no drinks. He gave us a refund in cash but was really snappy. I hate complaining but I feel this is a lovely place. The food was lovely but this man made me feel so unwelcome.

Young lad that took our order very polite and friendly however we waited over 20mins for two soft drinks, we received an apology but still with no drinks, it looked like the gentleman in charge was leaving it all for the young girl to do. Food came before drinks at a reasonable time, however the food looked very bog standard and if I'm being honest awful I had the bbq chicken cabatta and the bread was rock hard and just tasted awful maybe try adding some crisp or a decent side salad for the price. The gentleman was very apologetic but seemed like he wasn't sure what he was saying sorry for, it's a shame because it's a lovely clean establishment..needs more staff and training, asked for refund no hesitation and got one straight away

Wonderful bar, beautiful interior and very welcoming staff. Pizza bread and garlic cheese was delicious however the topping was disappointing. Very overcooked chicken and hardly any mushrooms..

Friendly staff, great beer and fantastic food

My Son and his Girlfriend held a farewell party here and it was fantastic. Beautiful place !! Friendly, welcoming and great prices. The function room wa amazing. The staff were so friendly and pleasant. The Food was beautiful. We hope to go back soon.

Good food, Great service, we were a large party but still got looked after very well, Due to the place not being very busy the atmosphere was slightly quiet.

I visited the Corner Room in Long Eaton today for brunch with four friends and a child. We're regulars here and usually enjoy the excellent food and service. However, today was quite a different experience. After brunch, we decided to order a bottle of Rose Prosecco. Unfortunately, the server who took our order seemed annoyed by this request. Later, when we asked for the bill, the same server enquired if we were paying together, and we confirmed. She brought the bill over for us to check and left to get the card machine. As we sorted out the bill amongst ourselves, one friend opted to pay by cash for herself and her little boy, while the rest of us split the remainder with separate cards, including a tip. When the server returned to take the payment, she appeared extremely annoyed with our chosen payment method. She even stormed off back to the till, visibly frustrated. Another staff member noticed her attitude and stepped in to handle the payment. We promptly settled the bill and left, feeling deflated after an otherwise enjoyable morning. Unfortunately, our friend's little boy became upset, thinking he had done something wrong to upset the server. We reassured him that it was likely a bad day for the server, and none of us had done anything wrong. It's disheartening that the overall brunch experience was marred by this server's attitude.

Updated ex-Wetherspoons pub, hidden away in a side street. Crazy why its not always full. Great staff and food. Cleanest and most comfy pub in Long Eaton. Good choice of wines and gins. A few quality lagers, a couple of new IPA's. Needs more old reliable staples such as Abbot. Camra discount. Try the Xmas dinners - just great.

This is an ok place to go for food - was really impressed with the "Piri Piri chicken, homemade slaw and fries"..... Really quick service too...

Had my wedding reception here, everything looked fantastic. We had meals with family and a buffet later on. The food served was for over 30 people, all served promptly and thoroughly enjoyed. The buffet for 100+ looked phenomenal. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the Vicky did such an amazing job making our day so special. Wouldn't have changed a thing. Also, little shout out to their in house DJ. Fab job Thank you so much to Vicky and her team.

We come here regularly for family meals, date night, night out with group of friends etc The Corner Room never fails to deliver: - spot on service -tasty food -reasonable price -board games, Jenga, colouring for the little ones -amazing cocktails on offer Whether you want a full english breakfast, a Sunday lunch , a fab burger or just a quick drink the Corner Room has it all! I would highly recommend this place

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere (there have been lit candles on all the tables each time I've been there) and fantastic live music.

The staff in the corner room are lovely. They are super friendly and genuinely look like they are enjoying their jobs. The food is always spot on and at a decent price . Only thing that's bad is the music is a little loud when sitting at certain tables . This place is well worth a visit if you need food fast and with a smile

We have visited before had breakfast in a large family group and smaller groups also had breakfast with Santa, my daughter visits with grandparents each week which she will now be prevented from, because the attitude of the staff on there is unacceptable! The bar woman with glasses has no idea about customer service, is looking to pick fights with her horrendous attitude, I have worked in hospitality for 20 plus years and the service industry is certainly not for her, the owner is another story I actually thought he was a drunk guy off the streets who clearly isn’t welcoming and does not have the correct approach to his paying customers and is questionable as a license holder as he has an uncontrollable temper

Terrible attitude of the owner, after a misunderstanding. Shame as we have visited previously and had a great time. Won't visit again and won't recommend

Friendly service and delicious food.

We was looking for a venue for our wedding reception and saw that the Attic Room, above the Corner Room, was being refurbished so we went in to enquire once the work had been done. The owner Vickie took us upstairs and we were blown away by what we saw. We wanted a natural boho style wedding and with all the brick and woodwork it was perfect. Little did we know that Vickie came from a wedding background so it quickly became apparent she knew exactly what we wanted and basically made it happen. She took all the worries away. Nothing was a problem, if we wanted to do something with the room it was either a “of course no problem” or a “I will sort that for you”. We really put our trust in her and her team. We asked for a buffet style with a difference, something special and she just said “leave this to me”. All I can say is wow we were completely blown away. The room looked stunning, the food looked and tasted stunning, she stayed with us throughout the day. Honestly I couldn’t rate this high enough. We have come to know Vickie pretty well over the last few months and she is such a lovely person. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day and that’s exactly what she did. Great team of people too who were very discreet when clearing food, tables etc. The kitchen staff did an amazing job with the food. Big up to all at the Corner Room. Thank you from us both for everything you did. X

What a warm, inviting venue. We had my late fathers wake here last week and Vicky and her staff couldn’t do enough for us. From the initial enquiry phone call to the set up on the day, everything was faultless. The buffet was outstsanding, and I’ve been informed so we’re the sausage rolls!!! Wasn’t quick enough for one😃. They made an awful day a lot more bearable and I would highly recommend for a warm inviting place to visit. Thank you again

Amazing service, food was lovely and were very accommodating for me and my family (25 people all together.) Children were entertained throughout the meal with games that are kept on site. All in all a grand time. Would come again.

Nice food salad could do with tomatoes and cucumber

A little gem, tucked away in Long Eaton. Tempting and varied menu, excellent table service with cheerful staff, (Friday morning). The building and interior is attractive and the quality of food and coffees very good. Good value for the quality. Edit: I'm sad to say that we took our family back today and the experience was different and far less enjoyable. We weren't told when booking our table that the menu was drastically reduced after 4pm and, thus, we had to rush to get our food orders in. I specifically wanted churros for dessert and asked the waitress whether these were still available after 4pm. She assured me that yes, they would be. At 5:08, after waiting for the waitress who was chatting with other staff sitting round another table, I ordered my churros only to be told that the dessert menu was also limited after 5pm. Needless to say, none of us were keen to order desserts after that. What a difference that change of staff from Friday a.m. to Sunday p.m. made.

I am a regular visitor to the Corner Rooms, which is an excellent venue. They have recently changed their menu. I tried the Buffalo Cauliflower ( on its own) it was really tasty. I can certainly recommend it

Great breakfast for a night after boozing

Had my daughters 4th birthday in the function room upstairs and all I can say is what an amazing time we had! The staff was so lovely and helpful and were always around in case we needed them. Venue was absolutely perfect for the party we had. Enough room for a bouncy castle, 50+ guests and still loads of room for kids to run and play. Food was absolutely amazing, tasty and filling😁 Thank you guy for your amazing service. Such a great team and will be returning again without a doubt👍

The staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful, hence the 4stars. BUT I ordered a toasted tea cake and it tasted like a the fat from a steak. It had grill marks on it.Not very pleasant.

We've visited a few times for breakfast and we're never disappointed. The staff are always warm, welcoming, friendly and polite. The breakfast always looks nicely presented on the plate, and comes out hot. We get table checked and we always come away happy and full. We will definitely be visiting again.

I used to go here when it was a Wetherspoons establishment from 2008 to 2013 -- it was always packed on Fridays and Saturdays. While it's not the loud and busy venue it once was, I'd argue it's better now than it was then. The ale selection is usually fantastic (every time I've been in they've had at least a couple of pales on and a decent bitter), the decor and 'style' they are aiming for really works and it's a very pleasant venue to visit. I've since been for a Sunday brunch (they don't do breakfasts on Sundays) and was thoroughly impressed by the service offered and quality of the food, which was actually at a decent price. It cost £22 for two teas, two juices and two full breakasts with Stokes sauces and Lurpack butter. Really hope it does well and the current owners deem it profitable.

Nice atmosphere and good choice of breakfast items only shame is that it's machine coffee so wasn't the best but definitely not the worst. I had a teacake and flat white (tasted more like latte) the teacake was huge and tasted really fresh.

I visit this establishment regularly, it is the first place I go to in my home town. It is very smart, very clean, they serve excellent food and a great range of beers. The staff are really helpful and are very attentive.

Been here a few times now & I haven't got a bad word to say about it. Friendly staff & great food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended for both food and drinks. Being dog friendly makes this an even nicer experience as you can stop off for food/drinks without having to leave your dog at home. Will definitely be returning.

Pop in today for a quick coffee and was surprised by warm atmosphere and very polite service. Had a cheesecake with coffee. Cheesecake was fresh, homemade and tasty. Affordable prices. Will definitely come again.

I was here today for a baby shower and immediately fell in love with the venue. The food was amazing, we had canapés etc. All of the staff are really friendly, polite and full of smiles. Had a great time! Perfect place for a pint, a meal or to host an event.
