Great food ,brilliant service at a sensible price. Order a takeout or delivery during these bad times and you still get the same excellent food and service . I cannot recommend highly enough.

I went here for Sunday lunch with my wife and mum recently on the recommendation of my mum's friend and neighbour. It serves a superb traditional two course Sunday lunch at extremely good prices. With a choice of 3-4 meats, mixed vegetables and a vegetarian option, the food was simple but very good. Several desserts were available followed by a choice of tea or coffee. Everything was home cooked, served by lovely friendly staff. It was just like eating with an extended family, really lovely. It's well worth reserving as it clearly is a favourite for locals. I won't hesitate to book again

Met with friends and they kindly extended their breakfast time to accommodate us. Lots of tea and a full English were nicely done. We stayed chatting for a couple of hours so cappuccinos were required as well. Lovely place, good service and good food. Could have done with being a bit warmer. Will recommend.

Passed many times and today decided to try it out with a friend for lunch. Obviously has many regulars, who order from the specials board, consisting of a main, pudding and a tea or coffee. Seems like the regulars are looked after but not if your not a regular. We decided to order from the menu - a main, pudding and I small cup of tea - which ended up costing us twice the amount, each, of the specials. All because we didn't fancy any of the mains on the specials board yet all the puddings were the same. We had tea for two in a teapot that was half full. A salad garnish which was requested without onion, it came with onion. Asked if we would like either salad cream or mayonnaise, asked for salad cream, we got mayonnaise. We waited quite a while to be served (people came and left whilst we still waited).

Hidden away in leafy Pelsall, The Corner House is a delightful tea room. The staff were polite and friendly and the food and drinks were delicious.

Visited with a friend. Got shown to a table near the window and given a menu. Within five minutes we was asked to move so a regular could have the table. Very small uninspiring menu. My friend asked go cooked breakfast was told it was too late. She then chose a different meal. I ordered the ploughman's it was not like any ploughman's I had seen before. Very disappointing. In all honesty it was OK for the regular people who go daily it was more like an OAP''s meeting point.

My work takes me round the country but I like to think I know the restaurants in my own back yard. I was wrong. The Corner House was there, I had walked past it and never actually actually taken in it's existence. The building is Victorian and there is a strong feel of a Victorian tea room about it. If you are hip and want modern fine dining this place is absolutely and categorically not for you. If you want a good, no messing, proper, steak and kidney pie like granny used to make then come on in, you won't have had better since she died in 1986. This place is a time warp and the average age of the customers must be in their 70s at the youngest. It was nice to feel young but I bet the the owners hope it won't be cold and icy this winter. The staff are excellent and there was a real family and friendly feel to the place, prices are also a time warp. I think they have just moved on from the shilling. It may not be haute cuisine, it may look like someone's front room but I honestly can't recommend this place enough.

Food was ok but we are very disappointed to find that we have just received a parking ticket for parking in the pub car park. We did not see any parking signs as we were too busy helping our elderly mother into the pub. When we were shown to our table the server never indicated that this was something we needed to do so very annoyed to have this £60 fine to pay !

Went for family birthday meal, group of 7 and cannot fault this place, lovely decor, friendly staff and very good food, my husband is usually a harsh critic when eating steak in a pub but said his ribeye was one of the best he s had and peppercorn sauce was amazing, my kebab meal was delicious and rest of family on fish and chips were also happy with food. We all had a great experience and will definately return

I would not class this as a 3 star hotel, calling it a hostel would definitely be more appropriate. Hallways smell of must and regret, with a new smell for each hallway. First room was nice and modern but an icebox (zero heating in back section of hotel, radiator leaking/not working), second room we were given was like the shining, hole in door too! Luckily no creepy twins in hallways but that’s my only positive. Full refund given (apart from £15 which they clearly need for refurbs).
