Went for lunch today with 2 of my friends it was excellent food and service staff friendly and chatty and attentive and the place itself was very clean and hygienic me and my friends will be returning for further meals in the future I would highly recommend you would not be disappointed thankyou to the staff at cork&fork for a lovely meal and the friendly atmosphere we was made very welcome.

Food was tasty and nicely presented, decent ingredients, but just be aware that the portions are tiiiiny tiny. 1.5 inch sq of pork fat crackling starter 12quid for example.

One of the highlights of our time in Cornwall & Penzance. Excellent and wonderful experience both the food and hospitality.

We had a great meal and the service was excellent, friendly and helpful waitresses. We had the mussels, the scallops and the lemon sole. Then shared a cheesecake dessert and everything was so delicious. We will definitely go again :)

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great quality and quantity fresh seafood and an amazing local white wine. Plating was beautiful and the mostly young and dedicated team took great care of our food and us. The staff really made our evening with their friendly service. The fish was beautifully prepared and fresh and the chef took great care with every ingredient. The open kitchen gave a great view of the young team in the kitchen was working with great dedication. The restaurant had great subtle nautical vibes and was very comfortable environment to dine in. Overall a lovely experience and worth a visit when looking for good quality food and service in Penzance.

Fantastic meal, couldn’t fault a thing. Fish was fresh and beautifully cooked, service was spot on and they liked a giggle. Highly recommend the Cork and Fork get down there and support a local business. We will be back!

Dogs are welcome and Lily the Westie got plenty of fuss. Make sure you take away some of the honey & honeycomb from the owners hives too as it is delicious. I'd reccomend booking as although they welcome walk-ins we visited on a Monday evening, we had booked and every table was occupied.

Probably one of the best meals we had in Cornwall, fresh fish & seafood, the mussels were outstanding and same was the half lobster or the crab linguine! Highly recommend!

We decided to book this based on the reviews we had seen about the outstanding food and arrived on a Sunday around 5:30 as stated on some of the reviews. It’s on the edge of a bit of a rundown shopping centre but don’t let that put you off it was one of the most amazing meals I have ever had, I decided to go top end for the fillet steak. I normally like my steak as a steak but this came out with lots of decorated things over it but boy did they taste nice accompanied with a glass or two of red wine this may not be the cheapest restaurant you will go to, but it is certainly worth the money you will pay , the service was absolutely exceptional though it did slightly as the restaurant got more busy as you would expect.

Excellent food. I had a wild mushroom linguine and a side salad. (Great menu. Looking forward to trying everything!) A good selection of well chosen wines. I had two glasses of Portuguese Douro. A velvety and smoothe red. A warm and friendly welcome from bright and attentive staff, going above and beyond expectations. Great ambience. Fairly priced. Will go again...and again ! Highly recommended.

Food arrived timely, hot and delicious! All staff were attentive and our waitress was very welcoming and friendly! Seafood as promised was fresh and was thoroughly enjoyed! I ordered the steak and was cooked to my liking perfectly! The whole plate was a smorgasbord of different tastes and texture! All our plates were scraped clean! Great restaurant if you are wanting a little more sophistication and class! The honeycomb is to die for!

It was the highlight of our night in Penzance. The restaurant is within a very bland and almost empty mall but inside is very cozy, all of the staff were women which I adored. We had large mussels (with wonderfully creamy sauce), crab linguine and hake. All of them were superb, we really enjoyed our food and atmosphere. It is a definite gem of fine dining in Cornwall, totally recommended.

To be honest it was my first time in cork and fork and will not be my last from the minute I got there the staff we fabulous I got delayed in traffic but rang ahead and they said no problem the table is there for us .The menu was fabulous plenty to choose from .My 3 boys got the burgers and could not fault them .I had the bbq wings as a main superb and my wife had a pasta dish 👌. A few drinks and deserts great evening. Must point out again that the staff were so welcoming and made sure we enjoyed our visit thank you again.Pearse .

When I arrived the restaurant was empty, which made me a little nervous. However I chose a table by the large window that overlooks the shopping precinct. It soon filled up, mainly with tourists. I hope the locals discover it soon as it is definitely worth a visit. I really enjoyed the mussels, which were a generous portion for the starter size, whilst my friend had the potted prawns and langoustines. She asked for bread rather than the crackers that were on the menu. The waitress smilingly agreed. We didn't have desserts, just coffee. Service was good and very friendly. Will definitely visit again!

Pleasant but unexceptional bistro.

My wife and I visited the restaurant on August 13, 2024. The overall impression was really good. In short, the food was excellent, presentation and taste, I will remember. But I will also remember the waitress who showed us into the restaurant and refused to change tables as we did not prefer to sit near the refrigerators and toilets and we had bags with us, nothing new for tourists. Unfortunately, she did not introduce herself. I would understand if the restaurant was full of customers, but three tables were occupied apart from us. The bootle of red wine has broken being taken from the shelf next to fridges and left some marks on my bags. That's another reason I dont like to be sat next to fridges or wine shelfs. During our meal, another couple asked the same waitress who served us to change tables and they were moved to another table in the blink of an eye. My wife and I both work in the same business and if anyone from management reads feedbacks, consider training the front of house staff as they seem quite cold and unable to build a good relation with the customer which would be appreciated considering the work of the kitchen does and the pricing you charge customers, they are not the lowest they are not the highest on the market but they are still committed to present at least the same level as the kitchen offers for food. I will add that the table we asked about did not have a reservation mark and she didnt offer any other besides. I also checked the reservation system as we have been informed the table we asked for was already booked, and there is no mention of reserving a specific table, at least that is what it seems to be my experience, you reserve a visit not a table. I am very disgusted by this act, probably in our sports clothes we were classified as lower class customers who do not require such attention. That is why I left a 10% cash tip for the kitchen and did not leave a tip for the front of house. Probably this is the only reason I will not visit again this restaurant, even when spending 100£ for dinner I wouild like to feel exeptional. Perfect kitchen and poor front of house. If you prefer food and don't care about everything sorrounding, ok if you pay attention about details go somewhere else food cant cover all experience. This restaurant's weak is front of house.

Had a very good time here. Food was really good. We took mussels, crab linguini and a fantastic steak. A little bit expensive, but you should all try it.

Ran out of orange gin, menu different to online. Asked for sauce to be served seperate with chicken dish not poured over, it wasn't. Mushroom linguine was 9 small pices of Mushroom with tagliatelle and cost £21! Bowl was hot food was not. Toilet wasn't flushing properly. There was a banana desert which was very nice. However, overall not a very nice dining experience. None of us will go again

as we entered the new restaurant we were welcomed & shown to our table. i had half a lobster with salad & new potatoes my husband had chicken breast with lemon & lime. it was beautifully cooked & so tasty we will go again

A glorious experience! Virginie was an utterly delightful host: really made our evening, and the food was good and the wine better! DON'T GO THERE IF YOU'RE HOPING FOR MEDIOCRITY! (Also fine if you're not a fish person - we weren't. We also aren't fish).

I visited this restaurant last month and finally getting around to leaving a review which I feel is well deserved. The stand out feature is the friendly staff who has such a positive and welcoming attitude. In particular is the lady who seems to be a leading staff member though I’m not sure entirely sure- she always has a lovely smile and takes the time to explain the menu options. The food met my expectations and the desserts were fine. I wouldn’t describe it as super cost effective but definitely meet the standards. The atmosphere is great too, cozy and inviting. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a good-service dining experience.

The “crab and scallops” is a nice starter, but slightly expensive (14 pounds for 3). The mussels, Fregola, and honey affogato are all perfect, especially the Fregola, a new taste for me, creamy, sourness, with the smell of garlic and coriander. Service is excellent, as well as the environment, open kitchen also shows the confidence of using good quality ingredients and cleanliness.

Fantastic restaurant! First time in Cornwall and we went to this place had 3 course meal which was absolutely delicious & well presented.

Very friendly service and the food was tasty too.

If I can give more stars I would definitely do. The service was absolute top notch, the lady who served me and my partner overheard that we were looking for a seafood platter but hadn’t had any luck, offer to make something that satisfied our needs. Honestly just the best service I have received in a long time. Desert was great, which was served with tiny shovels as our spoons (so very cute!). Overall an excellent experience and worth the trip.

For the first time I have been to Penzance and found this cosy place. From the outside I didn’t expect the nice service, really good wine and much more important really good food! I recommend to have dinner here.

31/5/2024-Friday. My husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner. This is our 1st time to this restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly, smiley server.. her bespoke service shines out. The restaurant is cosy, relaxing, and peaceful. Excellent food. They use the freshest ingredients from the local sources and make sure each dish is done the right way. The food was excellent. We were very pleased, we have chosen this restaurant. We will definitely come back in the future. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think we had one of the best fish in UK at Cork and Fork. The staff were very friendly and welcoming us with children. Fresh seafood, great selection of wines, and variety of dessert. We highly recommend dinner experience here! (Japanese follows) I came to the store with my child, and the service was very kind. The seafood was very fresh, the wine selection was attractive, and the desserts were delicious. A highly recommended restaurant for dinner in Penzance. Reservations recommended.

I live in Newlyn, so believe me, I KNOW about fish. I've walked past the Cork and Fork for several years and the menu never attracted me, far too meat-based (I'm a Pescatarian). Recently, I noticed that the menu had changed (obviously new owners) and was more fish-based, so when our younger daughter was down from Brighton for a visit, we thought we'd try it out. SO glad we did! I had line-caught Mackerel as a starter and the trio of fish (Hake, Red Mullet and Hake) for my mains. The Mackerel was lovely and the horseradish cream not overpowering. The fish cooking of the trio of fish was outstanding. My partner was a little disappointed with the amount of seasonal greens accompanying her hake dish; she told the waiting staff and within a couple of minutes, they brought us an additional side of seasonal greens. The sour cherry and pistachio cake was to die for; moist, but crumbly. I NEVER have a dessert when I go out for dinner, but that dessert....WOW! Waiting staff lovely; ambience, relaxed and welcoming; food, excellent quality...what's not to like? I understand hat they're relocating to the Wharfside soon....I'm definitely following them 😀

What a lovely place and lovely staff. I have gluten and dairy sensitivities, and they were very kind to accommodate me and still provide fresh and delicious food! I had the sole fish with roasted potatoes and grilled veggies...all cooked to perfection. I even had a 2nd serving of the potatoes cause they were so good! If you make it to Penzance, UK, make sure to try this place!

The food was delicious really fresh, I had the trio of fish was perfectly cooked, followed by the Cornish Honey affogato which was perfect as a dessert and a pallet clensor... I even managed to complete the Cornish experience with a bottle of Cornish wine which was really refreshing. The staff were so polite and made the experience even better...if you are in Penzance or the surrounding area I would recommend this restaurant!!!! Absolutely top notch!

Cork and Fork has earned its spot near the top of the Penzance list of restaurants. The choice of ingredients has been very well done and the portion sizes are sensible, meaning you can fit in three courses if you're keen. (We were.) The wine list is decent and at fair prices. And the service is polished but not stuffy. All in all, a very pleasant way to spend an evening. Definitely not the cheapest place to eat but it definitely felt worth the money. Oh - and do ask the staff about the history of the building! ;-)

Lucked out finding this gem. We were walking all over the area looking for seafood when we stumbled on my favorite kind of restaurant--locally owned, great food, thoyghtfully sourced from local purveyors in a comfortable setting with great service. I wish I could eat several more meals here. The local crabs are different from the ones I am used to on the west coast of the US and not as sweet. The shellfish platter is still not to be missed.

What an enjoyable evening our party of four had on Saturday … food was of the highest standard and delivered with care, wine & cocktails were fab, service excellent and the ambience truly relaxing. So glad we visited and we will return.

Our first visit but certainly not our last! What an absolute treat this was. The food was so delicious, I actually tried to eat my hake very slowly to make it last as long as possible haha! The service was also great and super friendly. It's a wonderful place. We had a great Friday evening meal here :)

What an amazing find. We kept seeing people rave about this place so thought it was time we tested it out…. We were not disappointed! Menu options are fantastic, two members of our party are strictly gluten free and this wasn’t even presented as an issue as the majority of the dishes are free from gluten. The owner even said they hoped to make all of these dishes gluten free in the near future … phenomenal! Local produce, great staff, fantastic wine list and beautifully cooked food. I cannot recommend it enough plus they even stock their own honey from their own bees. Can’t wait to return, we have already booked in again for a couple to weeks time. We had: Sea food platter, chicken with truffle sauce, mackerel with burnt orange, scallops, hake & steak. I think we also had almost every dessert between us! Sour cherry cheesecake, posset and affogato were by far the favourites Fully recommend!

I came here with my partner a week ago today. Although the staff were friendly and the food was to a good standard...there just really wasn't a lot of it and I hate to say it but I left the restaurant still feeling hungry. Our three course meal came to around £130 including a bottle of wine. The 3 scallops were cooked well but I certainly wouldn't describe them as large in size. The fish chowder on the specials board was again enjoyable but I feel the dish was 'filled out' with more new potatoes than anything else. The chocolate gnache was delicious but it was quite literally just a slither on the plate with a tiny dollop of clotted cream. Yes the food was nice but was it good value for money? Definitely not. My partner went to the shops after our meal and got a cheesecake with ice-cream that we both ate once when we got home.

This is a lovely little restaurant with amazingly mouthwatering food. Staff and owners are lovely and always go above and beyond to make our meal incredible. Its also great for vegetarian, vegans and gluten free diets.

A brilliant experience here. Celebrating a special meal for a birthday and it was superb. Presented with a lovely beeswax candle was a lovely surprise and a really nice touch! The staff were so friendly and attentive. The scallop starter was so tasty and well presented as was the pear and blue cheese one. The crab linguini and steak were tasty and went down well with a lovely smooth wine. The Affogato deserts were superb. The whole evening was a relaxing experience in comfortable surroundings. Highly recommend you try it! We will definitely be back!!🥰

I mistakenly thought I had already written a review for Cork and Fork. I wanted to thank Carol, the friendly and informative owner, and staff for a fun experience. This was my second time in Penzance. It's become my favourite town in Cornwall. We wanted to take our best travel friend there so she could experience it too. She and my partner are both seafood lovers. I'm a vegetarian who has had to go gluten free in the last three years. And I love gluten. I should not have been concerned at Cork and Fork. While my husband and our friend inhaled all the fresh seafood they could order, I had one of the best gluten free pastas in my recent gluten free life. It was the first time I couldn't tell it was really gluten free. I actually asked to make sure. I knew the itchy eczema and bad stomach would tell me the next day, but I didn't want chance it. The three of us had such a good time, we booked a second dinner for our final evening in Penzance before we left dinner that night. I'm glad we did because I would advice making sure you have a booking before you arrive. Cork and Fork is popular. Great setting too. It's cozy and warm with nice windows. We're definitely going back when we return to Penzance.

Quaint, comfortable, familiar restaurant with amazing gluten free options. Check this place out if you are celiac! Great food because they do not make any excuses for making delicious gluten free and delightfully tasting food.

Our first time here and impressed. It's not the biggest restaurant but the tables are arranged well so you can't hear people on other tables. They food was excellent and the wine was at reasonable prices, like the food. The staff were friendly and the service could not be faulted. Will definitely be back.

Warm atmosphere and sensationally flavoursome locally-sourced food. We visited with a small baby at dinner time and the proprietor was welcoming and very friendly, made for as relaxing and pleasant an experience as possible. I'd go again just for the affogato on the dessert menu, it was exceptional.

Went here for an evening meal whilst visiting the area of Penzance. Was absolutely not disappointed at all! After seeing the menu and positive reviews it felt like a great choice and was glad to see I was correct. The initial welcome was lovely and warm, great service all the way along too. The food was obviously the main attraction and it was all absolutely stunning start to end, I really couldn't recommend it enough here and was surprised it wasn't busier, though it is out of season there now. I had absolutely no complaints and left very happy and more than definitely going to return if in the area again!

Non potevamo concludere meglio la nostra vacanza nel South Cornwall! In effetti, abbiamo volontariamente tenuto questa esperienza per la nostra cena di fine-vacanza. Accoglienza calorosa ma allo stesso tempo discreta, ambiente minimalista: pochi tavoli, cucina e dispensa a vista. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di poter gustare le capesante, piatto del giorno: più in generale, il menu dipende dal pescato di giornata. Una garanzia di qualità e freschezza. Ho voluto tuttavia provare, come main course, l'oca confit, che ho trovato deliziosa. Lo staff ci ha guidato con competenza anche laddove siamo stati un poco strambi... in quanto abbiamo optato, al posto del vino, per la birra. Mi è stata servita una amber pale che ha perfettamente accompagnato i piatti. Al punto che ne ho ordinata una seconda pinta! Una menzione speciale per il dessert Cornish Honey della casa: sia per il gusto, che per la presentazione. Non posso davvero che consigliare questa esperienza!

We did know Cornwall is great for gluten free, but did not expect a full menu of GF or GFO dishes, from starters to desserts! We had fish (trio and fish of the day) and they were fresh, very well cooked and very tasty! The local Polgoon wine was a delicious pair to our meals! We also appreciate the helpful and welcoming staff, we did have a fabulous dinner and very nice family time at Cork&Fork!

What more can I say about this restaurant other than the title. We both had shell on prawns in garlic and chilli to start. Then I had trio of fish,delicious. My husband had duck equally as good .

Best bread and pudding that I have had in along while but the whole meal including scallops and sole was excellent service really good

It's actually located in an old public toilet buuilding - but don't let that put you off. It has been completely gutted and refurbished and is large Victorian brick building. The food is excellent and the staff all helpful and efficient. We have been here a couple of times, and will be going back.

We had a really memorable and enjoyable meal with lovely friendly service. The shell on prawns starter was superb. Would love to return when next in the area and would thoroughly recommend.

Dropped in here when we were unexpectedly detained in Penzance. What a find! Interesting and varied menu with daily specials making it even more difficult to choose. Starters didn’t disappoint and the mains were excellent. Didn’t have much room for desert but managed anyway - and glad we did. Service was attentive, discrete and very friendly. Good wine list, food and drink reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We were staying in the Premier inn next door and luckily managed to book a table. The restaurant was small but a lovely atmosphere and the food and service were exceptional. Very fresh and very tasty food. Loved our evening and if ever back in Penzance we would book ahead to be sure of getting a table.

Simply stunning. Best meal out in a very long time. Food and service great. Penzance was quiet when we went but this place was buzzing. Recommend you book in advance

The food was nice and the service was friendly and very efficient, but the price is simply too high for the quality of the food. Small portions and only a slightly above average product, it's not really worth the price plus the gratuity. Penzance has better places for your money.
