Been going here from the beginning. Lovely ambience, friendly staff, Great coffee and very reasonably priced yummy cakes and light snacks. One of my favourite places

Torquay's best coffee shop by far, located at the top of town on Union Street, this little haven of refreshment has an excellent coffee and food selection for all tastes, the decor is lovingly decorated with foliage and flowers and the service was excellent. Would recommend for a quiet coffee and snack during a busy shopping day in the town. The toilet was unisex and looked a bit tired and was small, there were dirty mop buckets inside and our table needed a good wipe down, five stars if these issues were dealt with.

Lovely little cafe away from the harbour. It was busy on arrival but the man who served us made me aware of a wait time on the order which was okay by us. Therefore, we were pleasantly surprised when it arrived quicker than we thought. Loved the interesting decor and the music choice. Food was good with a generous helping - so much so that my partner took some of hers home in a doggie bag. I’d recommend this cafe for anyone looking for something a little different to the touristy ones on the front. Thank you Coopers

We walked into this little gem of a coffee house, and I was so happy to hear, I could actually have something to eat, I’m gluten intolerant. I had a lovely toasty (gluten free bread) and a cappuccino, the young lady owner was very pleasant, the service was great, I’m a local so I’ll be back! Don’t hesitate, enjoy, we did! Thank you!

To have run out of skimmed milk in a so-called ‘Coffee shop’ is really unacceptable. Why not pop locally and pick some up! Both my friend and I wanted a skinny latté we were told unavailable yet they said they ran out yesterday I don’t think that’s good enough.

This review could be so much better, as a local I discovered this coffee house for the first time this week. The decor is fantastic and at first there was a very warm reception by the colleague on the till. I ordered a panini and coffee. The coffee came out and was excellent, however the time taken to bring my panini was nearly 25 minutes. The cafe was busy, so rather than create a fuss about the delay and my coffee going cold I decided to simply order and pay for another hot coffee before the arrival of my panini. Shortly after the panini was delivered to my table, I had no coffee to go with it despite having ordered a fresh coffee more than five minutes before. I saw the colleague responsible for coffee clearing tables (ok) and then stacking the dishwasher (not ok when customers are waiting for fresh drinks) so I politely requested that the colleague should concentrate on serving my fresh coffee to go with my now cooling panini rather than stacking the dishwasher. At this point the the colleague could be heard muttering to another colleague that I had been rude to her, which I had not. I had not mentioned the delay in the food and the first coffee going cold, I simply asked if she could prepare my fresh paid for coffee so that it could be enjoyed with my lunch. Then the person in charge came out of the kitchen and in no uncertain terms told me not to talk to her staff and suggesting I should take my business over the road to McDonald’s. I don’t use McDonald’s, and sadly I will neither use or recommend Coopers Coffee House to any of my many friends. I’m glad you are busy, but you really should treat your customers better, and feedback is a gift!!

A must visit for cup of cappuccino in a cosy place.

We enjoyed a warm welcome, a great service, lovely drinks and snacks, and will be going again as everything was really nice and also relaxing, its a great pit stop when in that part of the town, well done and see you again soon

Pleasant staff, clean and attractive decor and absolutely lovely coffee and food at a good price! (Review of visit 15/5/23 Additional. Review of visit 9/6/23.. not good, sadly. Problem with ordering food and drink (not present at previous visit), which lead to issues regarding payment. Resolution of issues felt difficult, embarrassing, and an uncomfortable experience, will not be returning as a customer, despite the food served being good.

I was just suggested a "Dirty Chai Latte" which tastes amazing. Should be on the board!!

Amazing little cafe worth the walk up the high-street

It's always a lottery going into a cafe for the first time, but Cooper's Coffee House is a winner. Really good green tea too, from the Devon Tea Co, which always lifts the spirits, & the panini's we're good.

The staff in here are always lovely, and incredibly patient as I try to choose between their fantastic cake-y offerings. The billionaires shortbread is always a winner! As is their espresso.

I come here most weeks its my absolute favourite cafe in torquay, the service is always great, the staff are always lovely and so helpful, the food is amazing for the price always fresh and made perfectly I admit I have the same each time I go but I absolutely love it. Always accommodating when it comes to my baby, only thing they dont have much space for prams but always move chairs etc out the way for me. Again appreciated thank you for being the best in torquay always 10/10

We went in for coffee but the food looked so good we had lunch and we were there a long time as it was so easy to just sit and chat the food was fantastic and a really good price and in the times were goin through it was lovely to be able to go out for lunch and it not break the bank will definitely be there again

I was visiting a friend in Torquay who had been in here previously for coffee. We went in late morning and I had the Cheese Scone Tea. It was a fabulous warmed cheese scone,with butter,a lump of delicious,mature Cheddar Cheese,home made coleslaw,an excellent side salad...AND a pot of tea!!All for under £6!! I wish we had this cafe and these prices wheer I live in West Sussex.Staff were pleasant and toilet facility very clean...always a good sign. Can't wait to go back

Great food, friendly staff, good value for money.

Visited Cooper's yesterday with my wife and business partner for lunch as we quite often have in the past. We ordered two ham and cheese Ploughman's and a BLT baguette. The food was delicious as usual, service was quick and the cafe is always spotlessly clean. The best cafe by miles for lunch in Torquay Town centre. Highly recommended!

Having discovered Torquay's newest coffee house we shall be back! We enjoyed excellent latte's (Pure Earth coffee) and the array of homemade cakes was to die for, all made by the resident chef. There's sweet and savory afternoon tea on the menu including a chocolate cream tea, a specials board and vegetarian options available aswell. It's at the top of the town so an ideal location, spotlessly clean and decorated with a chic french theme. Lots of tables, plenty of space, very welcoming, WiFi available and friendly staff. Go and take a visit!

Very friendly girls serving coffee Latte was made really well and tasted good. Cakes were good but not many gluten free cakes Avalible. Down side was poor Aircon and very hot in coffee bar so sat outside. This coffee bar needs work
