Cookies & Cones in Southend-on-Sea

I treated my daughters and their friend to ice cream and cookies, and they loved it. The ice cream was amazing- especially the mint aero, chosen by 2 of the girls. The guy serving us was friendly and chatty, and very patient while my daughter nipped to the loo mid order. He also made sure the table was clean before we sat down. Great experience.

We ordered to our work 6 milkshakes. We paid £6.45 for a “large” that come in a standard sized cup but were only half full of the product. A few sips and it was gone. It’s terrible that they can charge that per milkshake. There was no cream or chocolate bars or chunks in the shakes. Just whisked up nothingness. Would not recommend buying milkshakes here. Over priced and a poor excuse for a drink.

Great spot for a coffee and a bit to eat. Staff all very friendly. Lots of great cakes to choose from as well as sandwiches. Would recommend. Hidden in the upstairs of Primark, if you are in the area be sure to check it out.

Such a shame. This place used to be fun to pop in to for a treat every now and again. Now it’s run down and dirty with hardly any ice cream (which is what we went in for!) The displays lacked lustre, looking tired with no thought to how it’s displayed. The toilets were absolutely filthy too. To top it off the one staff member serving completely ignored us so in the end we walked out! Who ever owns this business should pop in from time to time to take care of it.

We love Cookies and Cones. There's an amazing selection of delicious treats. They are a little pricey but so delicious. You can eat inside although it could be a bit nicer in terms of decor/comfort. It is dog friendly though which meant we could sneak our pup in. The staff are nice and friendly and box up your treats to take away

As another ice-cream parlour close by had closed (even though we had made a booking). Rather than disappoint my Grand childeren we called in here. The girl behind the counter was very nice and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

Firstly, we got sent the completely wrong items, and have had to throw them in the bin. Secondly, all of the icecreams and milkshakes were spilled in the bag. This is not acceptable, i spent over £30 on this appalling food. Will not be ordering again!!

After passing and drooling a few times, we popped in as had breakfast in the area. The sweet treats overwhelmed us, just too many to say yes too. We decided on a few donuts, white choc and Jam dodger, orange chocolate and cream egg brownie. My god drool heaven, yummo! We will go and sit in next time and sample the rest 😋

The window display is enough to pull you in. I try to stay away from sugar, I’m not successful. I have a restricted diet but it turns out they had cookies for all diets. The vegan cookies were so delicious, they didn’t make it to the car park. Great place for an afternoon pick me up/snack. Check it out 🍪

Run of of pretty much everything by 3pm and they are open till 9pm, sizes smaller than other branch in Rayleigh. Priority to online orders than people that go to the shop, should just be online as waste of time people going to the shop.

The treats are just amazing. Out of this world. So much to choose from. Daniel is fantastic the best service Iv had in such a long time, will be back with all my family!

This place... Well amazing! Staff very friendly and helpful. The milkshakes are to die for, I had the unicorn milkshake and my partner had salted caramel, it was delicious, we then had a cheeky cookie cup, just yummy. The whole shop had a friendly atmosphere, highly recommend!

Came in earlier and was served by a very polite young man. Both people working wore masks and were regularly putting gloves on and washing hands. I ordered a drink and moments later decided I wanted 2, this means he had to make the drink again. Even with the long que behind me he did not mind and got straight it Even though was a little bit on an inconvenience. He asked if I wanted anything else once I had ordered everything. Would 100% recommend

Went as a treat with my son. The staff were amazing. Talked us through our choices and we took home three cookie cups which were a new thing to us. Dairy milk, biscoff and white chocolate twix. They were absolutely delicious and we can’t recommend them enough. We want to go back when they open and experience the ice cream! We also want to try the amazing looking doughnuts!

I ordered 2 milkshakes from here tonight and well what can I say, 1 of the drinks must of been blended with plastic because every sip that I was taking, I was spitting out THICK chunks of blue plastic. I decided to sieve out the milkshake into a bowl to see how much of this plastic was in this milkshake. Well, I was a absolutely gobsmacked on how much was in the drink. There must of been more plastic then chocolate in the drink all together. The amount that I found in there could’ve of done some serious harm to the body. I am absolutely appalled and will NEVER be ordering from here again. If you have small kids who wish to have a milkshake, please do NOT order from here as they will definitely end up choking.

Went for the cookie cups as heard good things, was not disappointed. Nice looking store and had lots of novel ice cream flavours which looked appealing

Cookies and Cones not only sell delicious ice cream which my child loves but the cookie cups are to die for, I can certainly recommend the milky bar one :) The shop is immaculately clean and the new decor looks fantastic. This was our second visit and we will 100% be returning again, nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly and helpful staff - a wonderful place for a sweet treat.

Ordered a coffee cortado it came in huge cup and tasted nothing like cortado. Best advice if you don’t know how to make a certain coffee please don’t put it in menu. Very disappointed

Our first visit to Cookies and Cones. The service was very friendly and helpful and we were given good advice and even tester samples for the amazing range of flavours (even though it was very busy and crowded). The rainbow cones and rainbow vanilla ice cream were a nice touch and added a fun element.

We come here regularly, there’s loads of choice, unique deserts and prices are good. I love the creativity and the one off specials they come up with. Just seen someone else’s photo of ice cream in half an Easter egg so hope they bring this back in a few months! Service can be a little hit and miss but that doesn’t stop me turning up every other weekend.

Delivered 3 out of 4 items ordered via Justeat, 1 of those was as per the original order. The 1 of the 4 items that was as ordered was good though. Have ordered twice previously and had similar issues of good food if you are lucky enough to get the item ordered, today was the worst and last attempt however

Wow, what a great place. We wanted an ice cream and found Cookies and Cones. The girls serving, Maggie and Kayla, were friendly and gave good advice about we're might like. The cloud sundae was amazing and really fun. We had a nice time here and all enjoyed our ice creams and drinks. Will certainly try to visit again and can recommend the service and venue.

Great place to visit in leigh if you fancy a tasty dessert..the waffles are amazing! Even had to buy some cookie cups on the way out! 100% will be coming back again

Visited recently, and was greeted by the extremely helpful staff member Olivia. The cookie dough was fantastic and I was recommended the malteaser ice cream. Very smiley and welcoming. 5*

The service when I came was really impressive. The team first greeted me as I came in and walked me through the menu as I wasn't sure what to get but managed to be convinced for the orange chocolate cookie dough and it was delicious. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Would recommend the store to use actual plates than paper plates as it's better for the environment and probably save a lot more money but other than that A+++

walked in with my son the other day and was disappointed with the service . The girls were lovely and appeared very knowledgeable about the flavours and different products available but the man who I assume is the manager appeared miserable and looked like he didn’t want to be there and appeared withdrawn. My son further commented that he felt that he was being judged by this same man however he enjoyed his ice cream.

My 11 year old son has been in to grab an ice cream on his way home from school a couple of times and has said that every time he comes in, he is ignored by staff for long periods of time. It’s not acceptable to give a child who is trying to gain some independence a poor experience of spending his pocket money which has made him feel uncomfortable. Staff need better training and that’s according to a kid which is a shame because he likes your ice cream.

Ok so wasnt greeted when we came in felt a bit lost to be honest anyway grabbed a menu sat down and then went to order and felt the female worker with dark hair was giving me strange looks and asked me rudely what ice cream I wanted and she could see I was hot flustered and very pregnant trying to decide and this made me feel anxious she also touched my food and held it in her bare hands for some time (the biscuit).

Amazing selection of cookie dough and ice cream, cookie sandwhiches are the best! opening hours are long and they also deliveroo - what more can you want?!

Popped by for an ice cream and we weren’t disappointed. My 6 year old had rainbow ice cream on a rainbow cone and I had some sort of cookie dough heaven! We sat outside because it was a nice day and there was a table available. It is a bit black inside and didn’t seem that comfortable, a bit bare maybe. Also they want to know what you want as soon as you enter the shop although it takes some time to read the menu and decide. Really nice ice cream and choice of treats though. Will definitely be returning!

Had a great ice cream today from here. Music was good but there is absolutelyno organisation with the queue we were in a queue of about 15 people then two people walked in straight to the till and go served straight away which was infuriating so much so a family of 4 walked out saying F this.

We are visiting from the Isle of Wight and Cookies and Cones was recommended to us. Ice creams, waffles, etc is right up our street and we love these kinds of establishments. There were 7 of us and we all ordered different things, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her waffle and my warm cookie dough and caramel latte was heavenly. My son’s cloud cone looked amazing (what a brilliant idea!). It was busy but the staff coped well and were friendly and polite. I’m sure we will be back again when we’re visiting.

At their new location on the main Broadway...delicious ice cream flavours, salted caramel was our favourite! They also have Insta worthy cones with candy floss! Try it, you won’t be disappointed! Really friendly staff...we’ll be back 😍

Great air conditioned place. The ice cream is lovely, so creamy and you can have it in a choice of cones. Super friendly staff and clean well thought out booths for people to sit in. A great little find!

Yes, this is pretty good stuff, lovely flavours put together very well, not sure but i reckon they might make their own Ice Cream on the premises, The Coconut actually tastes of Coconut, and not a cheapy version either, Salted Caramel tastes just like its name, creamy and flavoursome,and not a whiff of corner cutting, the Taco version for me, Squirt of cream and toppings plus a sauce, £4.95, not small sized scoops either (like another Ice Cream/gelato joint in Leigh), 2 scoops £3.50, mix and match flavours, Air Con Inside, loyalty cards too, Waffles, Cookie Dough and Cones, a place for Quality Ice Cream with a reasonable price tag, card payments too, might depend who serves you but the toppings/syrup were a bit sparse, see my photo compared with their promo ones, but its a minor quibble and could have just been my bad luck

Came for a sweet treat, and was blown away! Delicious Cookie Dough, and a great selection of ice cream and toppings! Love the new shop, pretty interior and great service, as always.

Good amount of vegan options, kind and friendly staff, I was served by Maggie and Gary. Yummy ice cream and cookie dough, with a fun variety of waffle cones. Will come again.

Popped in last weekend and had myself a tub of the best ice cream ever!! It was so great I had myself another tub 😋

Saw first advertised on Facebook and my girlfriend and I were instantly captivated by it! Probably been here about 5 times now in the last couple months and it is absolutely amazing! Can’t fault this amazing idea! Get yourself the warm cookie dough and cream egg ice cream

Me and my boyfriend ordered the cookie dough Easter egg with extra ice cream. At first it was pure bliss in dessert form. Then the sugar hit. We couldn’t eat it all. But we have no regrets. It was bloomin delicious.

We stumbled upon this whilst on an impromptu day out in Leigh-on-Sea during the lush bank holiday weather. The staff were very friendly and the selection on offer was amazing - including vegan options for the wife!

Really good selection of desserts and the go to place in Leigh On Sea. Went there twice in a row and would of gone there a third time if I could!

Absolutely loved our ice creams and so impressed that not only do they do vegan ice cream but there is actually a choice of vegan ice cream which was divine. Very clean, lovely staff. Thoroughly recommend 😍

Have ordered from here several times from Deliveroo and in-store. Everything turns out beautifully. By far the Best ice cream in the area and lovely service too! Good range of vegan products as well as seasonal ice cream flavours like creme egg GET IN MA BELLY!

The ice cream is some of the best I've ever tasted. The staff are always friendly and smiling. There are lots of menu options, it's hard to choose my favourite, but I do love a cookie sandwich. Can't beat a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream, between two freshly baked cookies, surrounded with white chocolate curls. Absolutely delicious!

My biggest issue with this place is what to have, you think you have a favourite flavour and then they create something new. Cookie sandwiches are amazing!

The ice cream here is excellent and all made on the premises. They are constantly introducing new flavours, which makes it so hard to choose each time I visit!

Cookies and cones pushes all the boundaries when it comes to ice cream! My partner and I were spoilt for choice!! So many flavours and variations! Safe to say.... we’ve had to go back time and time again to try them all, but as soon as you think you’ve tried them all... they have brought out so many new flavours!!!

Such a cool place and definately worth a visit if you're in Leigh-on-Sea! I had a cookie sandwich and my wife had one of the milkshakes and both were soooo good!!

Love Cookies & Cones, it’s become a staple of the weekend! You can’t go wrong with a Ice Cream Sandwich, and the selection of handmade flavours available are all absolutely top drawer! The staff are great and the service is is always spot on; it’s always a treat to stop in and visit!

Lovely modern shop, great staff, excellent selection of cookies and ice creams, will definitely be returning, totally recommend a visit.
