Worst service ever. Pig ignorant man and the most awful passive aggressive woman I’ve ever met. That obsessed with how busy they might be that they forget the people paying their wages .

Restaurant run by a racist woman and her violent husband. The place was empty when we arrived which says a lot. Avoid, this place should be shut down.

I think the worst experience i have ever had .. rude staff and terrible service. They charge u more after 11 in the morning if u want breakfast menu.. our food took more than half an hour to arrive.. if i could give them zero I definitely would! Please don’t waste ur time and money.. staff there need to go to training courses to know how to deal with customers!

I am still shocked at the behaviour of the staff there today. I asked for extra hot water because we wanted a large teas and the lady had showed me a small tea pot which she said was for two. The coffee and walnut cake was £4.70 a slice. The lady asked if we wanted one or two slices. I said one slice and commented to my husband that 2 slices would be nearly £10 which I thought was expensive. The lady said that they didn’t give extra water and told her colleague to refund me because she wanted me to leave because I had apparently been aggressive since I walked in. I said I didn’t want a refund I just wanted a large tea. The lady continued to clear our tray and the man said he processed the refund. I asked the lady’s name, she told me and asked why I wanted it. I said to write a review and I wanted to take photos. She said to leave and they’d call the police. I asked what for? They said for taking photos which I hadn’t at that point. I asked what the police would say for me asking for extra water and that I’d call them myself. The lady said I was clearly mental and she actually stood on the step of the cafe as we left saying I was mental. I did return to the cafe after approximately 1/2 an hour because I hadn’t received an e mail confirming the credit from sum up, only an e mail saying that payment had been taken. As I walked in the lady said here she is again. I spoke to the man who showed me the credit quickly. I asked if I could take a photo of the credit and he said we’ve got a business to run here. I will never step foot in this premises again.

This by far is the worst cafe for service and food but the dia service and attitude of the man in their out weighs it all. He was rude and turning people away at just gone 1 today. I asked for the toilet he told us to go Else where. I asked for a certain sandwich and was told he got no brown bread go over the road. He was not just rude to My family but most people. We experienced him shouting the day before but did not go in and presumed it was a stroppy customer. Obviously it was not and he’s in the wrong job. A total disgrace to the industry

We attempted to visit for lunch but unfortunately there were no gluten free options and myself and my daughter have coeliacs disease. Before we left, my 4 year old daughter needed the toilet. As we went to use it, a very abusive male member of staff (possibly management?) began shouting that we shouldn’t be using the toilet if we weren’t ordering. My daughter was very upset. Entirely unnecessary. No wonder the venue was nearly empty at lunchtime. We went on to eat down the road at Angels cafe where there were multiple gluten free options and polite and friendly staff.

A smart little cafe offering lovely views. Only had cappuccinos and cake and crumpets so cannot comment on food really. The cost was £8.60 which seems absolutely fine to me. Everyone to their own I suppose.

I regularly visit cafes to get work done. This is the first time I have ever been asked to leave. Which wouldn’t have bothered me if they were really busy, but there was never a time when all the tables were full. I felt the waitress was rude for no reason and therefore I would not recommend.

The Conservatory Café & Bar enjoys an enviable position on Babbacombe Downs, Torquay, it's backdrop being the whole of Lyme Bay which is arguably one of the best sea views in the whole of Devon. The Conservatory is part of the Morningside Hotel which has its own Trip Advisor review page, but here I am confining my review to the café.As it was such a pleasant sunny morning, we chose a table outside and then ordered bacon butties and coffee. The waitress who took our order was friendly and our food and drinks arrived fairly swiftly. What can I say about bacon butties? Well, some places get them spot on and some just miss. I'm sorry, Conservatory Café, but yours just miss. Yes, there were two rashers of bacon in the granary bread but it was oh-so-slightly underdone and there was quite a lot of fat left on, and underdone fat (as opposed to really crispy pork fat) isn't pleasant. But they were OK-ish and filled a hungry hole you might say. Would we go there again? I think so, but on another occasion I would make it clear that we would like the bacon well-cooked and most of the fat removed. This is just personal taste and to others it might've been just right. Prices OK, two rounds of bacon butties (sorry, sandwiches) and two cups of coffee, £12.

Some of the worst interior decoration I have ever seen, a beautiful house full of cheap plastic rubbish, totally lacking in any kind of atmosphere or style, a truly nasty experience. This should be a wonderful place, but it's not.
