Comptoir Libanais in Cheshire West and Chester

Without being spectacular. The food was nice and reasonably priced (£37 for lunch for 2 including a soft drink each). The guy serving (I guess was the manager/shift leader?) was very pleasant too. But at the end of the day it’s a ‘chain’ and I find you rarely get the genuine care and warmth of a locally owned place with a stake in the place. Would I go back? Yes, it’s a chain but it’s still well ahead of most chains but I’d choose a local place first (not possible in Cheshire Oaks of course 😊).

Lovely decor and the food is delicious. I used to go to the one in Leeds when it was there. Such a shame its gone now. So was pleasantly surprised to see one on our trip to Cheshire Oaks

Excellent customer service. The restaurant had an explosion earlier today and forgot to cancel the TooGoodToGo orders due to being focused on the repairs. The manager was effusively apologetic and offered me a meal to make amends. Fantastic attitude to customers.

Our go to place when we visit Cheshire oaks. The food is always spot on and the service is fantastic. We always order the mixed kabab and it's always prefect!

Such a fabulous find, other restaurants have huge queues yet this one is by far the best. Excellent selection of stunning foods all presented beautifully. We were served by Elliot who had excellent knowledge, gave great advice, was helpful and friendly. Will definitely be going back

Came in on Saturday. Wasn't particularly busy. We only ordered a few starters yet this took 45mins to arrive. This is after 30mins being told we apologise for delay and will be around 2mins! Food arrived.. hummus..portion was very small. Like half of what an average is. Chicken wings.. very bland and tasteless Potatoes...bland. although we'll seasoned.. Just bland. All in all..unlike Arny...I won't be back

I’ve just finished eating at this restaurant and the food and service from the welcome to goodbye was flawless. I recommend the lamb bread and the rose tea! However, it was a shame that a gentleman came in and ruined it by berating the staff due to the restaurant being closed. The guests and staff were so shocked but treated this man with calmness and respect, despite his unnecessary yelling. I would like to extend my thanks to our waiter (long brown hair) unable catch his name and hope he knows that he dealt with that professionally and we were impressed- although we did tell him. We will definitely be back, and hope there are no shouting and rude guests on the next visit.

Absolutely love this restaurant, staff are very friendly and helpful, couldn't do more for you! I've been a few times and the menu seems slightly different each time which is great for variety and trying new things. Dog friendly too which is nice as everywhere else at Cheshire Oaks you have to sit outside with dogs. I'd 100% recommend and I'll be back for sure. 😊👍🏼

I have visited it's branch in Bath and Birmingham as well. The best part about this restaurant is the aesthetic ambience they create. It's a collection of all things pretty, from their lamps, wall hangings, planters and antiques. The service was great, staff was courteous. Though on a weekend it was crowded and food took much longer than anticipated. The food tastes good but the portions are really small and you prices are on the higher side. We ordered the Chicken kofta plate, Grilled wings that had this tangy lemon flavour, Shish Touk and fries. A can of coke alone is about 3.5£. I love their story telling, the menu design and overall vibe, though it is definitely an occasional visit as you end up shedding lots to satisfy the hunger.

Very slow service. Passive aggressive staff, no apology for bad service when I was pleasant when asking for an update on the food.

Friendly server, could not leave a tip as they only get it if it was cash and we only had card. Made us feel very welcome. Kids meals vary in size, their chicken bites were bits of chicken kofta and they loved it. Our tagines were lovely. The teas were nice too. Kids ate free as it was midweek? Will come again and try the huge kebabs and rice others were having as they looked good.

First time dining here and it was fabulous. Leyton was our waiter, great guy and great customer service. Very helpful with regards to menu choices. Food was delicious, very authentic and the restaurant was clean, bright, welcoming and decor felt very traditional. Will definitely recommend here and will return.

Awful! The food is average at best but the service and cleanliness of this place is way below bad. There is mess all over the floor, tissues, paper and even menus just laying under tables with no one wanting to clean it up. We waited 20 minutes to get served and after taking our order we waited a further 30 minutes for food, all while tables that we occupied after us got food. When asked why, I was told they do not bring out starters then mains but everything all together, what utter nonsense!!!

I love this restaurant, as the food is always delicious and arrives quickly and is filling though I understand it’s not everyone’s taste. I always enjoy visiting as the staff are so friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is amazing. The food is reasonably priced for the portion size and quality of food.

Our first visit to this restaurant and our first eating Lebanese food and was very impressed with it. For starters we had the Lebanese pickles which were nice then for our mains I had the lamb kofta open wrap and the fries and garlic dip extra my wife had the lamb kofta grill with rice and salad. Both our mains were very nice and enjoyed and even though it was a generous portion for both we didn't feel over faced after eating this. We did get a dessert which was the baklava sandwich it was nice but I found at £7.95 just a bit overpriced for the size of it as we got it to share. All in all though we had a nice meal staff where very friendly and price overall wasn't too bad £77.00 for both of us. Will definitely be back

My wife and I were in Cheshire Oaks yesterday and decided to have lunch at this place as it was nice weather and they have an outside dining area. Really disappointing dining experience if I’m perfectly honest. Super expensive considering the tiny portions they serve, and the chicken & feta in my salad was virtually nonexistent, staff were pleasant enough. We wont be eating here again.

Honestly poor experience, cancelling orders due to lack of food but advertising the same orders to collect 5 minutes later is just not good enough and frustrating for any individual just wanting to eat there.

We came to Cheshire Oaks to do some shopping and we came here for lunch! The staff here were really nice and helpful and the food came quickly and was of good quality! The toilets were clean and the tables weren’t too close together! The only thing I think could be improved was that the restaurant was really cold! I will definitely come here again!

The service was extremely slow, it took about 1 hour to get our food. When we got our food, the portion size was very small and overpriced. Would not recommend eating here.

beautiful place, food was delightful, it was busy but it didnt matter cause the service was spot on, i had an amazing chicken taouk cooked to perfection amazingly marinated, the wings was one of the best ive ever had and especial mention to David, always aware of every single detail and ready to help, im gluten intolerant and he really help me through the menu to ensure that everything was perfect for me. On my next time at the outlet im coming back 100%

Tried to get a table for two today. Despite the place being only a third full. We were left to wait. Then told it’s a ten minute wait for a table and a forty five minute wait for our food order. We left, shame food is nice when you can get in and eventually get it. Don’t know what’s going on. Will goes elsewhere in future! ☹️

Went with lot of expectation but the place was not comfortable and the waiters were not helpful. We had to stand for 15 mins even though the place had many empty tables. Then we were told to wait few more minutes while they get one of the tables cleaned but to our surprise that one is given to someone else suddenly. Then we gave an order and had to wait for an hour for the food to turn up. One of the tables was metal surface with smell of rust. The food was very basic and super less in quantity. The taste was basic and I’ve tasted much better places the table we were didn’t have any spoons and we had to ask for it Midway after food arrived. The waiters keep running around for no reason as if everything is under normal but it was chaos. The bread was so not fresh and like a baby size, which was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Will never even dream to go there again.

Great Fathers Day Experience The guy who served us heard us talking about the lemonades and let us try them which was very helpful for my undeciding girls. They only didnt have the olives and fish. The food was fresh and delicious. £116 for 5 of us including the drinks. So much food. Hummous was really tasty. Flatbreads were lovely. The garlic sauce. Good size meals Thank you again

Food portions are extremely small and very expensive taste was average. Drinks also expensive ( see receipt attached) They wouldn't swap the rice for chips on main meal, why ? !! We left still feeling hungry. I certainly won't be going back ! Only plus thing was the waiter was a nice pleasant guy .

Food was great can’t really fault it, however service was really really slow, food on the more pricier side and gave us wrong order at first but quickly resolved it. One of the only halal places in Chester so can’t go wrong I guess. Ordered lamb kofta burger with the potatoes and a mixed grill for one.

Waited 35 min for mezes to arrive, flatbread was chewy, portion sizes for value of money were poor. Definitely won't be going back.Plenty of better options in the area.

An expensive restaurant, other than the kebab and hummus, and the rice is less than normal. If you limit your time, take a free fries, they have it.

Popped in for lunch. Food was lovely and staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend the Potatoes. Also, the iced tea and coffee are top notch

Went for my birthday. The food was excellent and the staff were nice. We have been before and will go again.

Unfortunately we were served 'raw' underdone lamb kebabs and chicken on both our mixed grills. Which we sent back and had to wait another 30mins ontop of the 45 mins had to wait before. Ironically the next 2 plates were v over done and v dry... 1hr 15min wait for 2 plates of food which was sent back once. We weren't impressed and wont be in a hurry to go back. After many years eating at other branches with no issues its a shame this one lets the side down

We've eaten at the Manchester branch before and this was just as good.

Took long time to serve only ready made defrost kabab on naan bread and properly warm even. We’re expecting fresh cooked food. Bathroom upstairs were in very bad condition even.

Would not recommend, waited 50 minutes for our food to come and it came out cold. My kofta was raw inside, expensive for what you get. We don’t mind waiting if the food is nice but unfortunately was not worth the wait or the £55

Went here at 7.30pm and staff were cleaning up, sweeping the floors etc. Told us they were closed! So either they’re lying or couldn’t be bothered serving as they’d cleaned up. Poor customer service. Wouldn’t bother going there.
