Recently moved to the area and have been looking for a nice Chinese restaurant. We checked out the reviews and high hygeine score before deciding to try here. We were so glad we did. The food was delicious and fresh. The prawn toast was one of the best I've ever had. Stuffed with real king prawns and not the mushy stuff you often get. Would also recommend the crispy chilli beef which was a delight. We will be back

Ordered £133 worth of takeaway food . When got home put in oven to keep warm and ate some starters . Noticed we were missing 5 mains . Called to let them know and was told never happens can you bring it back . Packed back up and drove back only to be told we were lying . Even showed box being carried out on CCTV but wouldn’t show us the box being packed in the kitchen . Kept talking about us in Chinese and told us what plastic boxes looked like : after 15 mins of them humiliating us in the restaurant they said they would make the missing main meals but we would no longer be able to order from them . So disgusted with customer service and completely ruined the meal . Best to stay away if want to be treated with respect !! I’ve never felt so appalled by the customer service . STAY AWAY .

Service was appalling as most of the mains we ordered were missing and they refused to refund or replace food. They accused us of lying about not receiving food. Will not buy from here again

Sent out a meal without pancakes,sauce .etc… very disappointing as sat waiting for order with a drink, also ribs were dry and food cold…

One of the best Chinese takeaways we have had. Very tasty and a good choice from the on line menu. On the day we went it was very busy but our order was ready in the time they told us.

We have visited Jade Buddha on numerous occasions, taking numerous family members for both the Sunday set menu and regular evening meals. It is also our go-to Chinese takeaway as unrivaled in the area. Off menu salt&peppers chicken pieces are incredible. Love this place!

I wasn’t impressed with the take away food really. My dish had some kind of noodles which weren’t cooked. I’m surprised they use instant pasta that requires hot water only, not proper cooking, but I’m shocked they didn’t bother to make sure it’s ready to eat… dry pasta was covered with little amount of lukewarm broth, veg and meat. It wasn’t edible. I picked the meat from the top and disposed the rest. It’s a shame really because the meat was quite good but those noodles ruined whole meal.

What great value the Sunday special menu is, soup, starter platter and a choice of your main course £11:50 per head. They will offer prawn crackers as they put them down. They are extra, drinks are quite reasonable, and the banana fritter (extra) was marvellous.

Jade Budda hasn’t been the same since lockdown. We have had a few poor meals but decided to try it again as we live so near .Unfortunately the food was poor the seaweed was chewy, the prawn and cashew nut tasteless.

Called in on the way home from Manchester Airport on the recommendation of friends. Had a lovely meal. We were looked after by lovely Lisa. Will definitely be returning even though we live in Heswall.

Best original chinese food around.

Ordered take away gave order of the phone. Fine 20 mind she said. Got there my meal was ready. Fine. Got home 3 miles away. The king prawn curry was Luke warm and watery. The sweet and sour king prawn was the worst ever sloppy batter and no flavour. Chips had been recooked. I rang up to give my review. She said we recook the chips this how people like them.,crispy.?? The curry is fresh made and it's not warm its hot. We'll three miles in the car would not make it warm. When the rice was hot?? The sweet and sour king prawn was fresh she said??? Avoid this place. This was a spur of the moment decision to eat here and were not disappointed. went for one of the set menus, as it seemed to satisfy most tastes on our table. Standard fayre with the starter plates. However stand out item on the plate for some reason was the Prawn Toast. For once actually tasted of prawns! Aromatic duck to follow. It was really nice to see it 'shredded at the table rather than being bought out of the kitchen ready shredded which can be very dry. Big tick in the box for that. Mains on the set menu were again the standard chicken, pork and beef with a extra side of Singapore noodles which was excellent. The mains were all fine without being exceptional hence to one bubble from being a five. Service was terrific, bouncy and they all looked happy to b there. Sometimes in Chinese restaurants they can look a bit morose. Certainly around where I live! If you are in the area then I would give this place a try.

Not impressed....set meal £11.50 but beware extras. Prawn crackers £3.05, pint of lager £7.80. No longer good value and food so, so....

We've been going to the Jade Buddha for 20 years now, it's always super-reliable and the food is always great. (The owners and servers are lovely as well). Highly recommended.

Having made a booking we were dealt with very well on our arrival. We were made very welcome and the service and food were excellent. Good experience for anyone to sample. Been there several times now and will visit again soon.

I'm sorry but a lot of my friends rave about this place but I just dont get it.... I have not been for a long time because the food was not so good.. it's very edible but I have been to so many better places ... the atmosphere is not my thing... Sound echoes around the palace and I expect the decor to be authentic... Not my place. I was given the card machine at the end of the meal and right away it asks for a gratuity... I cancelled it and the look on the waitresses face was awful... Sorry but I wasn't the service which was great it was the food and the place in general. Just not my thing. I'm sorry but it is very doubtful I will be back.

This visit was a treat from my future Mother in law, along with myself, my partner and her niece. We were met by a very pleasant waitress and lead to a table, drinks orders taken. Very friendly staff, food order taken and received, the food was interesting, my special curry was a tad glutinous, but as tasty as the other dishes were. Notably, the staff were willing to adjust the dishes as required. Service was good. Little pricey though

OMG! They charged £1.50 for some Chilli Oil! I would imagine they charge for Worcester Sauce, salt & pepper too. Such a shame as the set Sunday lunch at £11.95 is great value and good quality.

Arrived at 1830 pre-booked table. Entrance was overwhelmed with customers waiting for takeaways, which made it really difficult for me to negotiate as a disabled person. No disabled parking on site, again very poor indeed. Eventually taken to table and after some considerable wait provided with a menu and asked if we wanted drinks. Placed order and waited, and waited. Order eventually came but not impressed they looked overrun with the amount of orders for takeaway and sit in meals, with not enough staff to deal with the situation. The final bill was presented to us and quickly then taken away due to the Jade Buddha not processing our order, which confirms my point, overwhelmed and not prepared. Sadly will not be going back and spending my hard earned cash, no provision for disabled people.

Got scammed for two beers and prawn crackers £17.50 !! We left shortly as we had a family emergency but the prices in here are insane the staff were definitely very negative towards us leaving early regardless.

The food here is without exception excellent each time we visit it. You have to wait a while when its busy but the food is freshly cooked. The staff are lovely and really helpful too.

This is our monthly treat, staff are great, food lovely. Always come out well stuffed. Been today with our grandsons, their first visit. They really enjoyed the food, sea weed starter, chrispy duck and a main, they did well.

Ordered a takeaway dinner on a Friday evening in October 2022. Parking was a bit of a nightmare with people blocking other people in and much manoeuvring going on. It took them around 20 minutes to produce the takeaway order (despite us turning up on time). Food was pretty average really - I haven't been back, which is a shame because there are very limited options for Chinese food in the local area.

Tried book in advance, but got no reply. Was seated next to the door, which was opened every 2 mins for people collecting takeaway order. We was basically eating in the waiting room. Food wasn't anything special, have had better from my local takeaway.

Not what this restaurant was years ago. It seems to be all about sales. You don't get prawn crackers if you don't order a starter....bazaar is it to keep to drinking. Heaven help you if you just want a main course . Its a nice restaurant but they need to appreciate customers whatever they buy its hard times after all

Be Aware food is amazing, cannot take that away from them. but be aware if u go in and wait for a také away, and asked if ' a drink first why u are waiting'! without thinking I said yes a white wine please, they asked, Sauvignon Blanc, yes and a coke total £11!!!!! when I asked for the wine menu as I was shocked at the price, savigon blanc is the 3rd one down, wine by the glass starts at a descent £5.95. but £8.95 for a sovigon Blanc. we'll lesson learnt! why offer a sovignoc blanc first being almost £10 a glass🤦 just felt cond.... wine/drinks list needs to be visable! sadly nice as the food is, I felt it was sneaky sales! won't be back!

Eat in or take out, the quality of the food from Jade Buddha won't disappoint. More expensive than other locations but well worth the extra.

We ordered a take away and went to collect it 40 mins later. I had to wait a further 20 minutes once I arrived, it was like they only started to cook it once it was paid for. I wouldn't of minded so much if we enjoyed it but both our sweet and sour meals tasted like strong vinegar. This is the second take away we haven't been happy with the quality so we wont return now I'm afraid.

Had a wonderful night at the Jade Buddha tonight, five star service, really attentive staff, always nearby, food was delicious and a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant, perfect all round!

Myself and all my family visited on Fathers day, what a fantastic time we all had. Despite a fixed menu, there was a great selection and we all really enjoyed it. Tasty plentiful dishes full of flavour, but best of all were the staff. We had such a great laugh with them and they really looked after our Grandchildren. Fantastic time and we can whole heartedly recommend without hesitation, you will not be disappointed. 💖

The food it is so tasty, fresh and the staff make us feel very welcome. The staff are efficient, kind and caring. This is the only chinese restaurant that we use in Cheshire.We recommend it to anyone that likes authentic Chinese cuisine.
