I recently received a ban for unruly behavior, which I believe is an unfair decision. I have been a loyal customer of this establishment for many years and have never had any complaints. However, I have noticed that most of the experienced staff have left, except for one friendly woman with red hair and glasses. In contrast, there is another employee with chin-length brown hair , also dons glasses. who, in my opinion, is not well-suited for customer service due to her lack of friendliness and a consistently negative demeanor. Despite this, I continued to frequent the establishment because I enjoy their coffee. After the aforementioned employee banned me from the premises, she proceeded to discuss her issues with me with the other customers in line, which I found to be highly unprofessional. I intend to contact Coffee No. 1 to address this matter. If this employee derives pleasure from causing embarrassment to customers she refuses to serve, then she needs to reassess her behavior. My household enjoys coffee and has spent a considerable amount of money at this establishment, so the ban not only affects me but also represents a loss of business for Coffee No. 1. I hope that this employee does not alienate too many customers, as it could potentially harm the business's reputation and financial stability.

First and Last Time. Employees Zero Rating. Service Zero Rating. I arrived, placed my order, and was told that to get what I wanted, I needed to download the app, which is free. The staff looked at me with an ignorant, rude expression. They didn't ask if I needed help or explain anything about the app. So, I downloaded the app. I went back, placed my order again, and they ignored me and didn't want to understand. There were three girls who behaved like children with their laughter and discriminatory looks. English is not my first language, but I have never had any problems placing an order before. When I placed another order that cost £1.50, they tried to charge me £2.62. They apologized and said it was a mistake. In summary, I used the app to get a free drink and then deleted my account. If I could give less than zero stars for the service, I would. The cakes and drink were good. The drink was free, but I still paid £11 for the rest. Will I return? No. Do I recommend it? Products yes, service zero. I am a local but will not be returning. Thank you very much.

I have been going here since they opened but I have no idea what's been going on lately. Luke warm, half filled coffee and a soggy sandwich for nearly £10 is ridiculous. I always ask for extra hot now which they used to do but apparently can't anymore. My "toastie" was just a floppy mess. A coffee shop that can't make coffee. No thanks.

Dry awful sandwiches, dry bread, barely any filling, nothing to the sandwiches - all wrapped in plastic, but it's as though they've been sitting out for weeks. Overall experience poor.

Quite slow and a lukewarm hot drink that was more like mud than a mocha. They made my mocha first let it sit there to start cooling down then went onto make my wife's smoothie. By then my drink was no longer hot. Instead it was warm and very bitter, overbalanced with coffee and little chocolate taste Lovely cheesecake on display but then I was told they are all frozen and not available. Last time I raised a concern about the slow service and average drinks at a coffee no 1 they never responded

The first thing you notice when you go in is the lovely and friendly staff that are always smiling and providing positive vibes. I only drink the spice chia, but definitely wouldn't go anywhere else for it. Great atmosphere to study as well. Thank you Coffee #1 staff.

This has to be by far the best coffee and especially the best coffee shop staff. These lovely ladies always welcoming you with a smile and love to start the conversation with their customers. They always remember the regulars orders and recommend you new drinks. Other coffee shop staff are stuck up and mainly teenagers that don’t want to be there. Here, they enjoy their job and helping others. Thank you for such lovely coffee experience.

The Winton Coffee One, has the best variety of drinks and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Every visit puts a smile on my face. Just a great atmosphere. And the staff always go above and beyond.

This place is so lovely and warm. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly (especially Sheridan!), making excellent coffees. Definitely would recommend if in Winton.

I visited a few weeks ago, and was greeted by a very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff member named Sheridan. Sometimes customer service makes all the difference to the customer experience. The smoothie and cake were also delicious! I would recommend :P

La semana pasada visité con un amigo. La mesa en la que nos sentamos estaba rodeada de pequeñas moscas, al preguntarle al miembro del personal qué podría ser, ella sugirió que tal vez entraran con mi amiga (señora mayor, muy infeliz, pastosa, cabello oscuro). Le pregunté al café con filtro etíope pero estaba sobre el café con filtro costarricense dado; y repitió mi solicitud, pero ella no estaba al tanto de lo que estaba preguntando, luego le preguntó a su amiga / supervisora y me dijo que no la tenían, pero el letrero en la pared dice Etíope. ASÍ QUE MIENTES A TUS CLIENTES. . .

Las visitas anteriores han sido geniales. Pero hoy (3.30 el 3 de enero 20), no era bueno 14 mesas de tazas y bandejas sucias. No hay agua ni vasos. Basura en los asientos. WS esta sub - dotación de personal o complacencia? ¡Vi a la gente "subir y salir" después de pedir ayuda al personal!No a la norma habitual. . . .

Whilst holidaying in the area in an Air BNB I needed to find a pharmacy and in doing so i stumbled across Coffee#1.I had to wait 10 min till pharmacy opened and I wanted a coffee. Being in the coffee trade myself with Cafe2U I was looking for something apart form the high st big names(Costa etc).I entered the cafe and it had a rustic look to it and a nice display of pastries.I asked for a flat white and made sure it was a double shot and it was confirmed by the barista. Duly prepared it took the first sip and it was very nice indeed. I thanked the barista and she was glad bout the compliment and said she enjoyed her job. Excellent!

We went just for a quick drink and my boyfriend got a Chocolate Frappuccino and said it was amazing. I had a smoothie and it came rather lumpy so maybe it needed slightly longer in the blender. lovely atmosphere in there. I didn't notice any unpleasantries with the staff like other reviewers. It is nicely decorated and is in a good location.

Service unfriendly at counter, cutlery clean as previous reviewer said but agree not sparkling from the dishwasher so it looks dirty. Tables unclean and not being cleared so customers are sitting surrounded by dirty crockery. Filter coffee bitter. Music was in the background but drowned out by crockery clanging at the counter. All round not a pleasurable experience and is expensive for the mediocre cafe it is. I would imagine they are short staffed and it is not fun to work here.

Mi amigo y yo nos reunimos para almorzar a las 12. 30. Pedimos 2 sopas con un bollo de pan y 2 bebidas. Las bebidas estaban bien, pero cuando la camarera trajo la sopa, la puso sobre la mesa junto con una galleta seca sin gluten y dijo: "los panes de pan están congelados, así que en lugar de eso". . . . ¿Qué? ? Esto fue muy inaceptable y lo dijimos. ¡No podía importarle menos y se fue! El hecho de que esto fuera la hora del almuerzo lo hace aún más ridículo, además, ¡hay una panadería Greggs al lado donde hacen pan! No volveré allí de nuevo.

La señora que trabaja hoy con el cabello corto es deseable, se ve estresada, el joven con el cabello largo es muy amigable y la atención a los detalles, felicitaciones a la dama, ¡hasta el joven! Aparte de eso, buen café y chocolate, mejor que los otros en el área de Winton.

Every couple of seconds i'm being startled by the banging of crockery, the shouting of staff, and hearing the man who seems to be the manager, just bossing people around, being condescending while also being jovial and shouting, the employees screeching at high volumes. All discussing other colleagues in earshot of customers.

Typical English chain coffee, will keep the average punter happy but if you want anything decent there's cafes and a lounge right accross the street

Visited Coffee #1 in Winton with my mother. Probably not the best place to bring an elderly person, as the chairs certainly live up to the shabby side of the chic decor. Good range of coffee's, teas, and tempting food. Prices ok, service very slow though, queue system, again not great for elderly or their carers!

Terrible noise from woman throwing crockery about in kitchen area, but that is the least of the annoyances.

Well maybe because you're not #1 even when your main rivals (Wistmans and The Bay Tree) are somewhat inexplicably closed on a Sunday. I would still cross the street and go in the Conto Lounge instead. The crockery and cutlery although not dirty as such was certainly not sparkling. Hint - we all know that you still need to add salt and rinse aid to the dishwasher even when you use 14 in 1 tablets, plus maybe service the dishwasher and not cram as much stuff in?? We had a choice of 4 tables all of which required clearing by ourselves, a bit of an issue when you are getting charged over £3 for a sausage bap containing 1 and a bit sausages. Our bill came to nearly £30 for 4 which was a bit excessive considering the level of service and food. The food was OK but nothing special. If you're dropping your kids off at student digs, go and buy some nice sarnies in Waitrose and save yourself some aggro and cash.

After walking down Winton high streets many charity shops, there is no better place to go for a break than Coffee #1, which i would recomend to anyone over other chain coffee shops. Variety of choice without being overwelming, as well as pre-recomended cake choices make the laidback yet professional customer service. Products are well made and enjoyable and will be returning again following my recent experience.

I came here today with my young son and sister. The cake was amazing as always, great selection and is my go to place to come to unwind with tea and cake when my nan visits. The staff are very friendly. Geof was very kind to us all today ❤️. Will definitely be returning.

I visit this coffee shop almost daily. The coffee is excellent as are the snacks. The staff, led by manager Geoff, are very friendly and always give us a warm welcome.

Coffee 1 used to be a pleasure to visit with attentive staff and good coffee. Now it is dirty and noisy. We unfortunately sat near the sink area which was so noisy we couldn't hear ourselves speak. We've sat there before over the course of 5 years and never had a problem. I politely asked the staff member of it could be done a little quieter. I was curtly told that the washing up needed to be done. From then on the noise escalated. The tables are constantly dirty and uncleared. The staff are not attentive and concerned with the customers.

This shop was always busy when we came here for coffee because of the friendly atmosphere but it's disappeared. We ordered smoothie and juice, the female had handled money serving people and used the till; she didn't even wash her hands but handled every piece of fruit. Would it be acceptable to pick up cake with their hands let alone unwashed hands? I think not. Two more less customers because we won't be going back

A few years ago this place used to serve lovely coffee. After my last 2 visits I have decided not to bother again.

I went into this Coffer Shop a few months ago, to use the toilet rather quickly and a kind member of staff directed me to the Disabled toilet, which was helpful, as it is so dark in there and my sight is not that good now. After using the toilet, I thought it was rude to walk out without buying anything, so I went up to the Counter where I found a nice helpful lady, who asked me what I wanted and she got a bottle of coke, which she pured into a plastic cup, as I wanted to take it out of the shop, because I was meeting somebody in a few shops down the road. I went in there again today, because I was meeting a friend and had no time in getting breakfast, before leaving home, which I use do, but I thought I would try some of their food. I had a bacon bap without sauce and that was very nice with a regular mug of coffee. My friends never turned up, so I sat there quitely thinking whilst having my morning snack. I think it was the same lady or maybe another kind help woman, who brought over my roll and coffee to me, as I am Visually Impaired with limited sight and I cannot carry a tray to the table. I look forward to my next visit, even though I do not go in there that often?

We love this coffee shop and visit regularly so we were really disappointed to be served cold coffee from the thermos flask. We visited after 4 and the staff were clearly shutting down for the evening. Previously staff have been lively and chatty encouraging us to have a cake etc but on this occasion the man and woman were not interested in any of the customers. Definitely not on brand!

This was our first and last visit to Coffee#1 Winton. We cleared debris & cups to sit at a table. The coffee we were served was cold I complained and then received 2 replacements which was hot.I informed the server that the table next to ours had what looked like to me dog mess trod around she said she had just noticed. We sat there for about 40 mins nothing was done people were treading it around, all the time we were in the shop no table clearing / cleaning was done, cups & plates were piling up.The cutlery we got with our cake looked dirty, the whole place needs a good clean !

This is one of my favourite coffee shop but this is second time that coffee of the day “honduras “ is just warm that does not give right taste to coffee, so disappointed, please change your thermos or find a solution to serve better.also your crockery needs better cleaning....

I love coming here to meet friends or family, sit, relax, drink coffee and read a book. The staff are friedly and there is a huge selection of drinks. I never know what to order. p.s the caramel shortbread is delicious!

Young man working the till kept scratching his head and playing with his hair, dandruff was falling out. Without washing his hands then handled the clean cups by the rim. At this point I asked for clean cups and asked him to handle them using the handle if he wasn't going to wash his hands between scratching himself and handling something I was going to drink from. At this point the girl making the drinks said that I was being 'rude and unfair'. Although I had paid for the drinks I walked out. I will not be going back here and have passed on my concerns to local Environmental Health. Can I just stress that the people at the Southbourne branch are great.

Called in for a coffee and was served by a young man with greasy hair and dandruff, who kept brushing his hair away from his face with his hands. These same hands were then used to pick our cups up by the rims. Didn’t fancy drinking from them so requested cleans cups picked up by the handles. Told by the girl on the till that we were being rude and unfair! Left, having paid, but without drinks. Won’t be returning! The branch in Southbourne is lovely

Great sausage sandwich, perhaps served a little hot but very tasty. But the best thing was the hazelnut hot chocolate - absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly too.

Staff indifferent or falsely over-the-top friendly, and you have to wait for a LONG time for service. The coffee is NOTHING special.

Love the Place, coffee shop like that was missing in Winton area. Finally we have one and I highly recommend to visit :) very tasty snack options! Always served with side salad :)

I was on my way home from Uni, by bike. When I had an accident I needed some help and plasters and from previous experience I knew the staff from Coffee One are very friendly and helpful. Therefore I went there and asked if I could use their toilet and maybe some plasters. They were very nice, checking out my wounds and cleaning them.

First time here. Great place. Great atmosphere. Great Coffee. Don't often find a reason to visit Winton but this is of them! Welcome alternative to the usual chains.

Whilst I sit in Coffee#1 right now writing this review, I can tell you I'm in probably the best coffee shop within a 10 mile radius!

Great coffee with a wide choice available. They also sell pastries, savouries and big chunks of cake.

Great staff and very cheerful too, they were relaxed about the mobile phone photography and the teacakes are huge! Fresh drinking is available too/

If you are in Winton I think this is the only place that can compete with areas such as Westbourne . The staff are delightful and there is an excellent selection of pastries, porridge and Yoghurt. I do not drink coffee but am told it is excellent. The tea is loose leaf and very good. I warmly recommend this to you

Always a good place to meet friends for a cuppa & a natter. There's the usual good choice of drinks & fantastic cakes! Staff are always chirpy & even when it's very busy, there's never too much of a wait.

Nice place and friendly staff. Good selection of food, however the taste was a little disappointing. One of us had the quiche and the other mini Calazone (I may have remembered the name wrong). Both were ok but not the tastiest and the calazone needed much more filling. We then followed with a nice looking cheesecake (disappointing in flavour) and an almond croissant (nice pastry but needed a lot more filling). We thought the place a little pricey, but would return for a 2nd attempt when we are over that way, although would try different food. I think another toilet would be most prudent!

i become regular since i moved winton. i am a bit fussy about good coffee and must say i find it. the staff always kind and chatty. forget about big chain coffee shops.

Popping during a day of shopping, we decided to try somewhere new. Coffee #1 seemed a good place. The blend of coffee was to our taste. I do it was particularly noisy because of the design having no sound buffering. On a Saturday morning it is difficult to hold a conversation. The staff were friendly and the carrot cake was good. Not too sweet. The pumpkin seeds were a good add. There is only one unisex toilet and a disabled. I think a screen portion at lol east should be add so when queueing for the everyone is not on display. I also, think there should be more toilets for the amount of seating. Staff and service was friendly and efficient.

Absolutely awesome smoothies and helps when the guys that make them are equally as cute. You'll be seeing me more.

Been going here now since it opened a few years ago. I drive here from Poole Quay as the standard of drinks is very high and the staff always polite and very helpful, but more importantly they know how to make a decent coffee.

Enjoyed first ever frappes here in past couple of weeks. Excellent offer for two for one at present. Very delicious Devil's Chocolate frappes. Can only choose offer if same flavours but imagine all are great! Very enjoyable atmosphere there and always newspapers and books to read whilst there. Comfortable chairs and outside seating too.

This place does a better coffee than the high street brands. Staff are really friendly too. The smoothies are awesome if your hungover

最近夏天的下午有部分飲品買一送一的優惠，買了Smoothies覺得很好喝，而且買一送一不限品項，好便宜～店面還有賣自家的咖啡豆跟自製蛋糕、麵包等等，店內座位很多，還有不少皮製單人沙發，坐起來很舒服，適合聊天的好地方。

I absolutely love this place, it is quite and comfortable. Whether for quality time or do some study or meeting friends, always suitable . The only thing it closes about 5:00, pity, I wish if it would be open till like 8:00 :)

The staff are always friendly and polite and happy to accommodate your needs. On a few occasions I have asked for my coffee to be made as quick as possible and they always succeed!

Have been a regular here as it is just down the end of my road however today after visiting with two friends all of us ended up feeling very unwell and were sick. Phoned to warn them should there be any other complaints about possibly contaminated milk (all 3 of us had coffees containing milk which was the only thing all 3 of us had had consumed in common that day). I was spoken to very rudely by a man that would not repeat his name after I had miss heard him the first time. Nothing was done to satisfy my fears there may have been a contamination. No number was taken and the phone was hung up on me. Whilst I do not blame the establishment I do feel if a report of such nature that 3 people have become ill within 2 hours of frequenting the premises staff should take these calls much more seriously for risk of making other people ill! Quite frankly either the staff need re-training in basic customer service or an inspector needs to visit to inspect handling and procedures of perishable goods to check that everything is ok. I was not even making a complaint, I merely phoned to alert them to the fact that 3 of their customers had been ill after visiting the premises and I was dealt with in such a poor and unacceptable matter!! All in all I think whoever took that call needs to be reprimanded for such appalling customer service.

Went there with my friends and service was absolutely horrendous. Coffee came very late and were in dirty mugs with lipstick stains still on. After ordering the flat white and espresso i quickly came to the conclusion that even huge chains such as starbucks offered better quality service and beverages. Staff were incredibly rude especially the balding middle aged man. Coffee #1 is appropriately named for its 1 star quality and service. Will not be returning anytime soon

We waited half an hour. For a coffee that came in a dirty mug. And a different mug than last time I visited. No consistency and no planning. I'll avoid this place for a very long time.

I visit this place several times a week, each time the service is excellent. Even when busy, the prices are good and the quality of food and drinks is excellent.

I often treat my children here. The devils chocolate is a must try!!! There is a wide range of drinks and food and colouring sheets and crayons for the children. The staff are very helpful and friendly too.

This coffee shop used to be fantastic but the last few times I've been there have been issued keeping tables cleared, cakes stocked up, and napkins etc stocked up.

Lovely little coffee shop on Winton High Street, drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. Only down side is it can be difficult to find somewhere to sit as there is limited seating.

Visited during the week around 11:30. Had an Americano which was a lovely flavour. Daughter had a Gingerbread Latte, which was also good. Lots of variety of cake - we went for a vegan ginger square which was lovely and an chocolate and orange flapjack which was very good too. The staff weren't overly friendly, but efficient as the queue went down quickly. They could have mentioned that you collect coffee at the end of the counter as it wasn't obvious and I had never been before. Being quite short, it was difficult to spot this!! The restaurant style was good - floorboards, comfy chairs and at the back a fire place. There are lots of quotes on the walls and books to read if you want to. Ranks up with one of the nicest coffees I have had and the prices compare favourably with the usual high street chains. Will definitely be visiting again!

Please please Coffee1 open a shop in Bournemouth town centre. The best coffee and cake. Far better coffee than the larger chains. Lovely staff too.

윈턴에 위치하고 있는 커피가 정말 맛있는 집이다. 큰 규모의 체인점은 아니지만 자체적으로 로스팅하고 있는 원두도 판매하고 로컬에서 제법 인기있는 커피집이다.

Great coffee shop, with superb coffee and other great drinks, inc smoothies and health juices which is always a welcome alternative. Good selection of cakes, and breakfast options like porridge, toast and even superb sausage sarnies! Lovely seating area, always clean and tidy. Has pencils, colouring pads & books for kids. The thing that let's this place down is the slowness of service. it is counter service only, often only 2 (1 taking orders and the other making them) and it's really slow with big Q's to the doors at peak times. It really needs more staff at peak times and better still would be table service!

I dont like strong coffee and a one shot Americano with a little cold milk at this place is perfect.

Visited recently. Had latte and a tea cake. Both were very good. However at a cost of nearly £5.00 i consider this to be expensive.

A good branch of this small chain of high-end coffee places. Like Costa and Nero but more individual and interesting decor.

Good coffee, excellent cake and friendly staff. For non coffee drinkers there are smoothies, freshly made and herbal teas. There is an assortment of fresh cakes and pastries.The orange and polenta cake is heaven and so light that you won't feel any guilt. The Victoria sandwich is consistently good and I would recommend it to anyone.
