Bought a vegan meatball wrap. When I got it home I found it had a meat sausage and a rasher of BACON in it. Could be lethal to people with food allergies if this is what they serve.

Today (18/12/2020) I ordered THE ONLY vegan pre-packaged lunch option available, for takeaway. How disgusted do you think I was when I went eat it and there's not only a distinctly meaty smell, but a full blown meat sausage and a rasher of bacon! A company which actively describes it's self as vegetarian friendly (see incriminating, and somewhat hypocritical description above) this is either a disgusting production oversight or severely unfunny joke. To fellow vegan, vegetarians, or indeed general customers don't choose coffee#1 the packaging not only lies but you also can't contact them to complain, inform, as the listed phone number DOESN'T WORK.

Cakes are lovely and taste great coffees are wonderfully delicious staff are friendly & helpful, we always come here.

My wife and I called in this afternoon for coffee and cake. The hospitality was very good and cake and coffee were excellent. The staff were very very friendly and the whole establishment was very clean and Covid safe. Highly recommended.

We cakes and coffee (delicious!) - we were welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. Everything was well organised with track and trace and we felt very safe.

I have been here numerous times and love the coffee food varieties of smoothies and frappes. The staff are always welcoming with great customer service. Definitely a place to stop off. Well done 👏 coffee #1 staff.

Had the lotus cheese cake the bottom was soggy don't know how long it had been sitting there as the other cheese cakes were going dark on the edges looked like they'd been there a few days, but the rest of it was nice. Love their breakfast range will definitely be coming to try that! My mocha was nice but I wish the staff were a bit more friendly :( also they really should have a sign out front informing people they are card only so you're prepared before you get to the til and only have cash on you, could be very embarrassing!

We called in here today (12th) . The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly and jolly. Just what's needed in these times. Food and drinks excellent. Really enjoyable.

Went here with my hubby, ordered our food and drinks, were asked to fill out a track and trace slip, pen was lying on a clean cloth and I believe was wiped down after too. Screens in place , first place I've been too that actually seemed to be putting all the safety procedures into place staff were fab, friendly and chatty , please go and feel safe whilst there , fab

Just popped in for a quick drink before home. The duty manager was very welcoming and cheerful. The place was very clean and well managed. A very pleasant experience!

Lovely range of drinks and cakes including the all important sealed shortbread for my son-with-allergies. But what made me make the effort to write this review is the fact that this was the best coffee I've had in months. Maybe years. Visits to the in-laws have suddenly become extra specially appealing. Well done, team.

Everyday I go to coffee #1 for lunch and the kind staff and quality service makes me day so much better! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, it creates an uplifting and warm atmosphere 10/10 would recommend

Want to start off by saying that anyone rating these guys below a 4 clearly has stupidly high expectations or is naturally a difficult person with nothing better to do then complain.I have been going to coffee one in redditch daily for around 3 years now and have seen many changes within the branch. Things seemed a bit ropey a few years back but since Lez (new manager) has taken over, the branch has grown and become (by far) the best Coffee shop within Redditch and the surrounding area. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, taking time to talk to you rather than giving a Costa Grunt, after taking your order and moving you on to get your coffee at the end. Good points and reasons why you should go to Coffee 1:Service is quick but not rushed.Coffee is well price and good quality. Actually tastes like coffee rather than the water they serve at some of the bigger coffee shops.Food is fresh and also fairly priced with a great range of cakes and sandwiches. Fresh fruit is also supplied. Friendly staff. CLEAN! EVERYTHING IS SO CLEAN. Relaxing areas to sit! Also they have a book shelf to chose from at your leisure.

10 out of 10 for the staff at Coffee #1, what a pleasant and smiley lot, well mostly. We do like to call here when in Redditch for a delicious cake and brilliant Mocha; we do love the Portuguese Tarts.Coffee #1 like all coffe shops suffer the usual eternity to serve the most simplest coffee, at least here the staff do try and engage you in pleasant banter. Wish coffee shops used perculators, just keep it warm and pour it. Just a dream.Great coffee shop though.

Pretty fast service, tasty espresso (try the seasonal Ethiopian, very sweet!), whole bean coffee available, and cute cups! 10/10.

Great coffee, superb service, staff are just brilliant, always friendly and accomadating, Les(manager) always has time for a bit of banter whilst whizzing around doing a great job, this has to be cleanest shop around, they never stop clearing tables and extremities of the shop.Always feel welcome.

This café is gorgeous, offering a comfortable atmosphere in heaps and excellent coffee to boot. Would really recommend to get a moment of rest from the stresses of Christmas shopping.

Visited today with elderly mum. Much better range of coffees than anywhere else plus you can sit 'outside' surrounded by Paolozi mosaics (famous artist). It was busy but staff were lovely and elderly mum says she often comes here because they bring out her coffee to her.

Tried to get a coffee today after exhaustive Christmas shopping, waited in the queue, only one member of staff doing coffees and one doing food, gave up in the end shame been before and it was good. GET MORE STAFF ESPECIALLY DURING THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD!

Went in here to today with the staff running round like mad. No way theres enough staff to cope with the busyness of this place felt sorry for them. Dean Linda and Loz still welcomed us with professional conduct even thru this. My hat goes off to them TYVM for lovely service and lovely food and drink. Hopefully your bosses put in more staff to help you all

Lovely atmosphere , lovely coffee and hot chocolate but the tea lets the place down , so weak could not drink it , I had the English breakfast tea with milk but even though I left it to brew for a few mins it was awful , need either more tea leaves or a stronger tea , cannot fault the place otherwise

Well maintained shop, decorated ready for Christmas. Counters well stocked. Fre iendly staff. There is ample seating and the shop is well laid out. Would recommend to anyone and have done.

1st time visiting a coffee#1shop and I was amazed with the service. The staff were friendly and the establishment was exceptionally clean. The coleslaw I was offered with my panini was delicious. Recommended highly all round.

We always call in for coffee and something to eat when in Redditch. It is often very busy and the staff work their socks off to make sure the customers are served as quickly as possible.

What a lovely vibe in this place. Decent comfy seating. Nice and pleasant staff with a speedy service in a clean coffee shop. Caramel machiato is on another level.

I always request a Dry Cappuccino, and Coffee#1 @ Redditch never fail to impress, by far the best in Redditch, & the staff provide my special coffee with a smile, Thankyou.

Called in for a quick coffee before shopping , very welcoming and friendly . My husband had an Almond croissant and I had a Portuguese Nata which melted in my mouth .

Very friendly and polite staff who brought my drinks and cakes over to the table even though it was very busy. Nice relaxing atmosphere with some good reading books available. Tables were being cleaned regularly and the facilities were pleasant

I always visit Coffee #1 when I am shopping at The Kingfisher, it is the best Gingerbread Latte in Redditch. The store is always clean and tidy, even when they are busy! Very often it is hard to get a seat in the store, which I think just shows how good it is in there.

Have visited here twice in recent months both on Saturday afternoons. Both times staff have struggled to keep up with demands of Saturday business and as a result came across stressed, unprofessional and quite abrupt.

Selling stale “easter brownies” When pointed out the manager behaved like a high school child even then it was much worse.

I recently visited Coffee#1 Redditch and was really impressed with how clean and tidy the shop was despite it being really really busy!! It was my first visit but is obviously very popular as a few of the customers in the queue were well known to the staff. So much so that staff knew their orders without the customer asking. I had two extremely well made cappuccinos and and a piece of excellent lemon drizzle.. I believe I was served by the Manager and have to say what a very knowledgeable and helpful chap he was as I wasn't sure what drinks I'd like ..I was asked if I'd like any cream with my cake and if it was to share incase I needed two forks. He was very approachable and chatty during my service..my drinks were made in double quick time and brought to my table as I asked if that was possible and he said no problem..all the staff seemed happy and professional in their work and all had smiles which is so important in customer based work. Lovely little coffee shop.. Love the outside seating area with the trees and plants..nice touch. As I left the manager was clearing tables and asked us if everything was OK with our drinks and cake.. The only problem had been which cake to choose and that's why we asked for his recommendation..also the food looked very appetising and the display eye catching. Great atmosphere, excellent staff and fantastic coffee.. What more could you ask for.. Will definitely be back.. :)

Relaxed vibe with excellent staff who are always happy to help. Rachel was particularly kind and generous to us when we visited, took our food and drinks over to the table so we didn't have to lift a finger. Will definitely be visiting again!

Whenever we come to Redditch we always stop for a coffee in coffee 1. Very friendly staff , so much choice of drinks hot or cold also great cakes biscuits wraps pastries the list goes on. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely place to grab a quick coffee. I was early for an appointment so popped in for a coffee and a pastry and the man behind the counter (I think the manager) was lovely and helpful. He also clearly knew lots of his regular customers - many of whom were elderly - and asked after them. This is probably the highlight of their day - and may even by their only interaction with other people. A very nice man!

I popped in for a quick cuppa on my way home from town. I was served promptly by a friendly member of staff. Whilst enjoying my drink a member of the public asked if they could sit outside and feed their baby, staff were very friendly and not only said she could sit inside but also offered her a glass of water. Another member of the public came in and asked if their elderly father could use the bathroom, staff were once again very friendly and accommodating. What fantastic service, I will certainly use this coffee shop again.

Whilst visiting The Kingfisher Centre I noticed the Coffee#1 and told my wife that I had visited two other branches (shame not any longer independents as i like to support them, now part of Brains Brewery) and their coffees are excellent (as are the cakes that i have tried) and again the coffees were excellent in Redditch. The staff were attentive and friendly.

We stopped here for coffee and a panini while xmas shopping. My husband had the festive one with turkey I had the tuna one we had cake to follow carrot cake and a coffee cake really nice drinks were nice and hot.

I visit this coffee shop at least once a week and I have never been disappointed. The staff are really friendly and helpful and always go out of their way to make you feel very welcome. They will take your order and then bring it over to you whilst you just relax and unwind. My weekend always starts with a large cappuccino on a Friday afternoon and after a hectic day in the office it just helps me relax. I had a superb coffee today made by the lovely Tom who is just the nicest guy and always has a smile. The seasonal coffee is delicious and I can fully recommend the smooth flavours.

We always visit here everytime we go shopping in Redditch and I have to say it’s a lovely coffee place. It’s always busy and full on a Saturday when you go but you always receive great customer service and would highly recommend

For someone who steered clear of certain ingredients due to health reasons an accompaniment to a good coffee is not always possible. However Coffee#1 seems to have made the effort and boy oh boy is it worth it. I would strongly urge you to enjoy a lovely homely coffee with these guys instead of costa. Try somewhere different, go for #1, you won’t be disappointed

Always get a good coffee at this establishment tried the toasted tea cake it was massive staff are always friendly and very helpful decor is delightful.

Had a lovely cup of Assam tea and a skinny Latte but unfortunately the cakes were very average, some we were told we still frozen !

Lovely cafe, lots of choice for delicious coffees, inside has a lovely cosy feel, I don't like the outside area much as no atmosphere.

Happy staff, one lady was singing as she made drinks! Fast service. Better quality drinks than Costa. And they care about the environment!! Recommend!!

We are regulars to this coffee bar and think that they se4ve the best coffee in Redditch. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming and over the weeks have got to know us. The cakes are really lovely too, try the Belgian chocolate praline or the flapjacks delicious. We tend to go towards the end of the day when it’s not really busy. The staff are always attentive , I cannot recommend James, Hannah and the crew enough.

My wife and i go to Coffee 1 regular as it is a great place for a coffee and a light snack.Staff are always friendly,and the place is welcoming.

We have been firm regulars to this coffee shop since it opened. We love the relaxed atmosphere, the dark and peaceful lighting, the delicious choice of food, the extensive coffee and drinks on offer, and the friendly, knowledgeable, cheery staff. Can't fault this place.

Coffee shop looks really inviting from the outside and when we stepped inside the decor did not disappoint. We had a Winter cappuccino (yummy but loads of whipped cream) and a caramel macchiato (very indulgent).

Visiting the King Fisher Shopping Centre we came across Coffee#1 I had not notice them before I had visited other branches of group so called in for a coffee a wide range of drinks but was impressed with the service and there was a choice of blends of coffee I do not like strong coffee so to have an option of blends the member of staff explained I went for the mild blend it was perfect one of the best cups of coffee I have purchased I will certainly be returning again. Well worth a visit

Went for mid morning drink and found the coffee was excellent and a cheese and tomato toasty very good value but I had a bacon roll which was very expensive for what it was as there was a minuscule amount of bacon init and one bite and it was gone, but still lots of roll left.

A few visits later this establishment does not dissapoint! The coffee is exceptional and the pastries are very tasty indeed. The service is always friendly and efficient and the whole ambience is about relaxing, a chance to think and a chance to chat. I like the Coffee 1 chain because they take care to post local history in their shops and this helps to each of the shops unique.

Visited today after shopping in the centre. Hot chocolate rich and velvety. My friend opted for one of the frappes which she enjoyed. Speedy service and very reasonable prices.

A real gem which now out ranks any of the other famous chains which I'd got listed in Top 5 order. Cappuccino with a firm foam on it just like it should have. Always accompanied by doorstep toast and butter. Staff friendly and welcoming. Also tried Kings Heath and Sutton Coldfield branch and equally as good.

I would vote this my number one coffee stop!!It opens early so you can start the day relaxed with a good cup of coffee,and they have a loyalty card, which is a bonus.The croissants are nice ,and fresh unlike the competition which often serves a less than crisp pastry !!Not the cheapest or most expensive in town,but worth the price to sit in a comfortable clean coffee shop.

Not sure why everybody thinks it's perfectly normal to pay these ridiculous prices for a cup of coffee or hot chocolate these days.

My new favourite CoffeeShop in the Kingfisher centre, has such a homely feel (& teacakes the size of your head!). My family & I are thoroughly enjoying working our way through their pretty extensive menu & Cakes. We often visit on a Saturday afternoon, it does get very busy however we've always been able to find seats. Tables are not always cleared but will be promptly once you're sat down & staff always very friendly :)

This being inside a modern shopping centre. When you walk in there is nothing modern about the interior. The first thing that I focused on was the fire place, second the second hand furniture and then the panelling on the wall and a bookcase with real books on the shelves. As well as that the staff are very friendly and helpful. Oh and by the way the food is good along with real tea and not tea bags

I have visited a few times on my own and with my husband and three month old daughter and each time we have been, it's been fabulous! The atmosphere is very relaxed, comfortable chairs, lovely decor and it's like having a coffee in your living room! The staff are friendly and offer a great service. It's always very clean, and has baby changing facilities. The coffee is the nicest by far in the kingfisher. The food is a little pricey, but delicious! Will be returning every time we're in the area.

The best coffee shop in Redditch's Kingfisher centre. I regularly order both their chai latte and a flat white, both of which are always very good. Staff are friendly and the service is always great.

Good on Coffee #1 for taking on the Costas in Redditch!!

We have visited several of the Coffee#1 establishments. I particularly like the fact that there is wonderful decore and a link to local history. It is just lovely to find a place that is reasonably priced and comfortable. This local branch has references to Redditch's fantastic needle making past and motorcycle production. Something that a casual visitor to the town might never know. Our service today was very friendly and swift. The establishment is nicely laid out and you certainly do not feel rammed in. We had a couple of rounds of excellent coffee and had a chance to sample several of the super pastries on offer. It is so nice to have a coffee house of a better quality in Redditch. It might not be for everyone but we had a lovely relaxing time and most of all will return.

The staff here seem to be making an effort to engage with their customers - which is more than can be said for some of the chains . Loads of interesting coffee choices

We stopped here for a Coffee & Cake after doing some shopping in Redditch, there were 4 adults and 4 children, 3 children are under 3 so wouldn't be drinking coffee anyway, and the other one had a coke, we all had either a piece of cake, cookie or a brownie......the bill came close to £35.00........maybe I'm not used to Coffee Shops, but I thought £35.00 for a drink and a piece of cake each was grossly over priced. I've drank in other Coffee Shops before and never paid any where near this sort of price, also the Large Cappuccino, could do with being a LARGE, i'd say in some places to compare I could have had a standard the same size.
