We stumbled upon this cafe and as it didn't look busy grabbed a table. There's a great range of sandwiches on offer. Cakes are very tasty. Coffee prices are pricey but are really good. Tea was a 'proper brew' according to my brother in law, and he's fussy with his tea. What was extremely disappointing were the staff. 'Blondie' has attitude and very poor customer service skills. A lady purchased several cakes whilst Blondie was most unhelpful, being rude and short tempered.'Mohawk' appeared to do nothing but standing around talking. Young short haircut was doing most of the work whilst B and M were in deep conversation. A customer asked for some sugar. B ignored him, and carried on talking to M. Customer asked again, B gave him a sachet turned to M and actually apologised for the customer's interruption of their conversation! I had never witnessed such rudeness. NEWS FLASH. B and M. Customers purchase goods, you serve them, you get paid for that. Not for talking away whilst customers wait for you to decide when to serve them. We won't be back. There are plenty of other coffee shops where staff actually work and treat customers with respect.

I visited here on Tuesday the 7th as part of a family group. We found it by accident and we’re so happy we did. After coffee, my family went off to visit the Clifton Suspension Bridge Vaults but as I was on crutches, I stayed behind to wait. Two hot chocolates and much later I was still waiting. No signal on phone, but staff very kindly let me use their landline to get in touch with family . They were so nice and helpful about it and I am very grateful to them.

We go regularly for coffee and cake...the staff are lovely, friendly, and make the whole experience more fun....they are also efficient, but manage to maintain the atmosphere, even when things are hectic. The coffee is excellent, by far the best of any chain, and the cakes are superb. In an ideal world they would have more space, but they are in a prime position in the heart of Clifton Village. We have a 40 minute drive to get there, but it's always worth it...

Enquired at front door if seats were available and was basically told to go and look for myself. Found a vacant table but had to request previous occupants crockery be removed. Then had to request table to be wiped to erase cup marks and crumbs. No initiative by staff to undertake what is usually regarded as standard tasks for waiters. But then these, presumably part time "students," had not been trained to wait tables in a professional and customer friendly manner. Please upgrade staff training. Having said that, coffee and carrot cake were good and a pleasant atmosphere prevailed with not too loud background music

I like this cafe normally, staff are usually very pleasant. Today was a bit weird the girl said there was no filter coffee. Bit weird when it’s a coffee shop. So I asked for earl grey tea. She didn’t ask me I wanted milk and she gave mea teaspoon with coffee on it. Yuck.

We went for coffee and something for breakfast. There wasn’t much choice but they advertised pain au chocolat, pain aux raisins, plain croissants and almond croissants on a blackboard. On ordering, it turned out they only had 2 of the 4. I returned to the table to ask again, and we changed our order. By the time I went back, ( one other customer later) they only had almond croissants left. This was 10am.He had bought the one pain aux raisins! The member of staff just kept pointing to the basket saying ‘this is what we have’ as if I was expecting the earth. We left as we don’t like almonds and went up the road where we had a super experience!

Arrived with three friends and was looking at the extra seats around the corner at entrance and got shouted at saying 'thats not for Customers'! Fair enough but could have been more like 'sorry afraid those aren't available. ' then I asked are there any other chairs for three as we just needed one more and basically got told 'look for yourself' in a very rude patronising tone. Then I addressed the topic while ordering coffee saying I'm sorry but I think you were unnecessarily rude earlier and got told ' I think your rude coming into my shop during a pandemic and trying to take chairs without asking.' Ummm well excuse me but they weren't cordoned off and frankly we are the customer and everyone is adjusting to the new normal. There is no need to speak to customers this way and one would think with the crisis shops are struggling for business and should be more respectful to customers in general. Really rude lady I gave her the opportunity to apologise and speak on a civil way but instead got attacked further. Needs to take course in customer service......
