Coffee#1 in Eastleigh

Clean and nice tables nice food and drinks but very long queues. Nice and relaxing after we sat down near the window. Would go back but when it's queues are not long.

Coffe is great as was the cake. Staff overloaded with tables not cleared and using take out cups and plates because of staffing issues ... less than ideal.

I have popped in this morning. And I meet this two nice guy who served me. They was so nice. And helpful. They made my morning so much better! I will definitely go back there. We'll done guys. Keep smiling.

Used to be good. But has gone downhill since. Figured the staffing issues would have been fixed, got given take away only cups just because of short staffing issues. This business needs to pick itself back up again

Quality of coffee fine but service which has always been slow, was very disappointing today. Our food had yet to be delivered after 15m and when I chased it up, it had been completely forgotten about. The annoyance is not one of the three staff apologised. Some customer service training required and certainly they have lost our custom.

Got to say things have been looking up and up which is great. Hopefully the staff shortage issue can be sorted. Love this place as my weekend go to place. Even though we still wish one in Winchester existed.

Very slow service. I was in a hurry as I had a train to catch; two people in front of me and I thought fifteen minutes would be enough. Unfortunately I hadn't realied how involved the conversation between the two baristas would become and had not factored this in to my timing. Coffee #1 are by brand very slow but this branch surpasses the others. Such a contrast with staffing in their parent company, Caffe Nero.

I called in early today asking to order a couple of the new special frappes and was told rudely by a male member of staff “we don’t have any bananas so can’t do them” then he went back to doing something else no intent on offering an alternative or making any kind of effort for customer service. At least it’s not the only coffee shop in town.

Compared to last time. The store still felt quite understaffed but we're happy to see it's at least looking up. Lovely staff members and baristas and the man in the shirt apologised for the delay on the hot food that we waited half an hour for but he did have a queue to deal with so it's understandable. Will visit again every weekend until we get a coffee #1 in Winchester. 😊

Friendly and helpful at closing time. I could easily have been turned away when I asked about closing time but I was welcomed it to pick up a coffee to get me to the end of a tough day. Thank you to the friendly young chap doing the close-down.

Came in yesterday with my fiance from Winchester and had to wait in queue for over 10 minutes which got longer and longer out the door all because a lone barista was working on a busy Saturday morning all by himself. Luckily they were polite and apologised heavily and did extremely well to hold their composure and not lose it. We didn't mind the broken dishwasher, we felt sorry for the lone worker. As we left the queue seemed to have gotten longer. And he was still on his own. We hope next time when we come, we can give this place a 5 star and maybe there will be more staff. There is no coffee #1 in Winchester and we would like to give this place another chance in future despite our first impressions being average at best.

I come here every day, at least once!! All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly, they remember my usual order every day I visit! a really relaxing place to enjoy a coffee with my dog on the comfy sofas, highly recommended the seasonal Brazilian blend of coffee, I enjoy mine best simple, Americano with cream ☕☕😋😋

The team working here make it worth going. The ladies with the green hair and orange hair were funny, attentive, and polite. Good service makes it worth returning.

Popped in for some coffee and cake and it was so lovely! Plenty of space inside and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I've been in before a while ago and it was nice but it seems to have improved massively under new management. Staff were efficient and gave quick and happy service, as well as very good recommendations when I couldn't decide what I wanted - which is perfect for me as I'm very indecisive! There was a brilliant selection of vegan cakes and even pastries (which I can never find in most coffee shops) and they even had vegan scones! Overall - great selection of cakes and pastries, coffee was well made and delicious (and I'm picky about coffee!) and honestly some of the friendliest servers I've encountered for a while. Especially the two Alice's - they were so lovely and helpful! So glad I stopped in again and I'll definitely be back soon!

Going in for a quick bite to eat and coffee to gear up for the day! The staff were on top form, recommending what to eat for a fussy eater (like me!) - I had a victoria sponge cake and vanilla latte. Tasty and delicious!

We liked this coffee shop on our previous visit. However, last week the Americano coffee was almost tasteless. There were 3 girls working but it took some time to get served. There were spare tables but they were all covered with used crockery so we had to clear one ourselves.

Working in Eastleigh they are a great warm and friendly team. We can walk in and they know what drinks we have latte with mint latte with caramel. Well worth the money also they have a loyalty card that works really well.

I visited here today, I was 4th in the queue. It took 15mins to service 2 people with 4 members of staff! When I asked how much longer it would be I was told that if I wanted my coffee quicker I should go elsewhere, so I did.

Come here all the time. In my opinion they do the best coffee in town, the staff are always happy to help. I often visit with my little one and the staff always help you to a table and friendly to my daughter. The shop itself is always clean and tidy and the decor is comfortable and slightly quirky.

Coffee No1 I have to say is one of the better chains out there! As much as I prefer independents I feel No1 have good a great atmosphere, good selection of food choices, clearly labelled. I have been twice this week, lovely friendly staff and in my opinion the best coffee I have had from a coffee shop. Good selection of food. Lots of seating, selection of table & chairs or low comfy sofas & armchairs. Its where I will head for if going for coffee in Eastleigh. Visited Eastleigh last night for the Christmas Lights switch on, only popped in here because the queue in Costa was too long. Very, very busy here also but what a lovely atmosphere. Two really hard working, efficient baristas kept the line moving quickly. Only wanted a couple of Christmassy hot chocolates to take away but when I saw the array of gluten free cakes I had to give them a go. So lovely to find somewhere that caters well to Coeliacs and people with wheat allergies. The hot chocolate was great, piping hot and very chocolatey, and the cakes amongst the best gluten free finds. So sweet that one portion of the cappuccino cake was enough for both of us and we enjoyed the orange and almond polenta cake this morning. A little pricey, approx £11 but on par with most coffee houses I guess. I'm looking forward to returning to eat in and I'm hoping that there'll be lots of gluten free savoury options also.

I thought this was a one-off local coffee shop when I first went there earlier this year. It has that kind of feel. Turns out, it's a very large chain throughout the South West and South of England.

Whilst walking around Eastleigh with my wife and daughter, came across this coffee shop. This is quite a small chain compared to Costa, Nero's, Starbuck's; etc, but seems to be better for it. Welcoming staff were all too happy to take our order and we sat down on some nice easy chairs.

This is in the centre of town and is a good place for a "pit stop". We had latte and espresso coffee with quiche and salad and sat outside in the sun. Better than the usual coffee houses in quality and price.

Met a colleague here to have a pre-meeting, lots of space, good coffee, good friendly service and a very warming spicy Sweet Potato soup which was just the thing on a very cold day. This is the second time I have been here and both times it has been a good experience.

I could have had cheaper refillable filter coffee across the road at the Wagon works and sometimes did if I wanted breakfast too. But I liked the cosy seating, the friendly staff and really excellent coffee so it was hard to resist. Over 24 days in December I must have been there about 10 times, always in the early morning and found it consistently good. I did have toast and preserves once and the occasional croissant which was fine, but mostly just coffee and read the paper. Free newspapers to read would be a welcome addition?. Thanks, Bob.

I know this is a chain and, yes, they can be quite 'samey' but I find this less of an issue with Coffee #1 than with other national coffee shops. I called at this branch for both morning coffee and lunch one Saturday. The staff were very polite and attentive, the food was fine and the decor/surroundings inviting. It had that slightly-difficult-to-define ambience which just seemed to work. Worth a visit.

My husband, father and I went here the day my father flew back to Canada. Coffee was excellent as were the pastries we sampled. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a break from the regular high street coffee chains out there.

Love this gem of a coffee shop ! It's rare for me to buy a coffee any where else .. the staff are all extremely pleasant and polite .. Yes ordering does take time , especially during a busy spell , but each coffee is made with care and that it was you pay your money for , not some machine spewing out brown liquid that pretends to be coffee .. they make the best coffe anywhere in my opinion .. the milk is stretched to perfection and the blend never tastes burnt or bland .. treat yourself to the Peruvian blend , you will never want to drink anything else Also the porridge is pretty damn good ! ..

This coffee house is a very comfortable place to relax over a drink and a snack. The arm chairs and couches are more numerous than the bigger coffee chains.

What a welcome change from the drones of Costa and Cafe Nero, I have visited this splendid and inviting shop several times now and have always been impressed. Staff always seem friendly and happy to accommodate any needs, the coffee tastes fantastic and there's always a more than tempting array of cakes on show (I give in every time).The location is ideal for traveller's and shoppers alike, I would highly recommend to anyone.

This is in an ideal spot if you travel by bus or train. It is a very inviting little place. It has more of a personal service that the big chain coffee houses. The coffee is always the perfect temperature the choice of cakes and savouries is just right. I personally love the the giant toasted teacakes, and they are giant. The only down side is that they don't do any offers like a tea/coffee and cake deal. A good thing that they do is with the ground coffee you can take home and recycle it for many uses mainly gardening.

This place is just a delight. The staff are chatty, engaging, and up for a laugh. The decor is beautiful, and the coffee is delicious. The best thing is you can literally see on the walls where your coffee came from and that your coffee growers were treated well unlike the other chains. They also give away used beans for compost. A very sustainable, ethical, inviting place. Menu is varied and much better than your Costa or Cafe Nero (and they never burn your coffee unlike the latter). The vegan brownie is to die for (not literally obviously being vegan). Their lunch selection is also very appealing. 10/10!

My friend and I visited Eastleigh recently and by chance we came across a new coffee shop, Coffee#1, a welcome addition to the town. We really enjoyed our relaxing coffee/cake (reasonably priced) in lovely surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I understand Coffee#1 may also be opening in Winchester and I will look forward to that.

Good members of staff, but they made a mistake on my order so many times. I like the idea of having books and colouring sheets and pencils available to customers. I believe that they should close at 19:00hrs and not 18:00hrs as it would give people a chance to enjoy a drink after work.

Asked for wifi password. Barista was very short with us and told us there was nothing she could do; she said 'some computers can connect and others cant'. Quite unhelpful to say the least.My girlfriend then tried to approach one of the other staff members to see if they could help but the same barista came over and shouted at her (in front of other customers) and told us there was nothing she could do. Very rude and very embarrassing behaviour. I then approached another one of the staff and asked him if he could help. She came over again and offered more information: that they don't officially advertise wifi anyway, which I completely understand. If she'd told us that crucial bit of information at the beginning, instead of quite literally shouting at my girlfriend across a crowded cafe, then there would have been no issue whatsoever. The Cafe was very busy on the day and I fully acknowledge the pressures of continually serving up fabulous teas and coffees (and they really were lovely) but to be so rude, unhelpful and publically obnoxious is quite uncalled for.A lovely member of staff called Steve came over and apologised for his colleague's behaviour, which was sincerely appreciated. All of that being said, the coffee is fantastic so we will be coming back.

Its a nice place to sit and chat, the tables are spaced out so your not sat on top of one another. The cakes were lovely but the hot chocolate was to sweet for my liking.

This is the best coffee shop around! They do a pumpkin spice latte all year round and it's lovely! All the drinks I've tried from here are lovely and the staff seem to take great care in making the drinks, unlike some of the more well known coffee chains. The cafe is also beautifully designed and furnished, with such a lovely atmosphere. Staff are always lovely too :)

Costa is losing the edge. The coffee at this place has much more flavour and lots of choice. Only let down by the tatty metal chairs outside (or is that "industrial"?). Inside is much more comfortable if a little small.

Visit this coffee room every week. The staff are always friendly, service is good. It is a nice place to sit with a good cup of coffee and if your lucky enough to get a window seat, watch the world go by.

This establishment is part of a chain of superior coffee shops. It serves a variety of excellent coffees and other drinks along with various bread and cake products - all of very good standard. Service is very good.Order at the counter and the items are typically delivered to your table. If you want a fast food experience this is not for you as items are prepared to order so will take a little time, but it is time worth taking.It is not a Costa, Starbucks or Cafe Nero.Free water available on the condiment bar.

The Coffee 1 shops are a great alternative to the usual Costas and Neros. The coffee is good and the food is great. Its not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. The Eastleigh shop is well located, the staff are efficient and the atmosphere is relaxing.

There are multiple coffee shops in Eastleigh now, but this is by far the best in setting, decor, the coffee and the cakes. All in all, a very pleasant place to stop and take a break. Recommended.

This little coffee shop offers all the usual coffee drinks but if you want to try something different their selection of coffees and preparation methods are second to none in Southampton. Service is good and the staff are knowledgeable without pushing you to spend more money. BTW the Welsh cakes are superb.

I like the Coffee No 1 chain although when I visited the Eastleigh shop the service wasn't as good as I have had in other shops. The coffee was good and the ambiance was just as good as the other shops.
