Early morning caffeine was needed and this was very close to my hotel. Ordered a latte and a muffin. Latte was beautiful and tasted good. Muffin was just okay.

My husband and I stopped here - I had cappuccino and a warmed chicken and pesto panini and my husband had a pot of tea and lemon cheesecake - totalling a little over £15. All was delicious and much enjoyed. We sat outside watching the busy passers by and inside also looked good with a nice ambience.

Used to think this place was great. Not any more. Staff disinterested and slow. Everything served for takeaway on the excuse of being short staffed. Just a shrug of the shoulders when questioned about this, but did not stop the 2 staff on duty taking their breaks when there were long queues. More than 15 minutes to get served as a result. Floor very dirty with black grime ingrained in the floor, spilt drinks and cake crumbs beneath our table not cleaned up. Floor behind the serving counter was littered with food and not swept in the entire time we were there. One toilet out of order, the other clearly had not been checked all day. Won't be returning.

reat spot for walking the dog but the general hygiene of the place is not up to standard and the staff seem quite unhappy and tired which is probably due to staff shortages all round. Coffee always used to be lovely but milk made so hot without asking that I burnt myself drinking it and couldn’t drink it for at least 20 minutes. Gave it some stars as Its still a good location and when I have visited in the past it was much more up together. Hopefully the staff will be supported and the changes can be made to get it back to where it was.

Excellent service in Bath. Plenty of seating. But I find the music choices at times painful to the ear - sometimes less is more.

love this coffee shop. Great coffee - usually flat white. very nice staff who are helpful and make a point of remembering us and asking how we are. The toilets are good to have if we've been walking around. Lovely setting by an old bridge and river. Good selection of food/ mostly cakes and paninis/rolls.Seating outside - nice when it's not raining.

Funny they have ‘quick bites’ on the description as nothing about it is quick. Very very slow service - not because the staff themselves, but rather lack of. One person managing all coffees, payments and food. Took forever to get croissants and juice.

Usually really enjoy this coffee shop where the staff are really friendly and attentive. However, our most recent visits have been disapointing. We ordered 2 drinks in our own cups with oat milk. The barista forgot one was with oat milk and poured cows milk into the cup and when I reminded her it was with oat milk she just poured it out and topped it up with oat. She did not ask if this was an allergy or if we were ok with that. We also ordered two toasties which she forgot to put onto heat up until a few minutes after we had received our drinks. She put them on and then left for her break and when we recieved the toasties they were cold inside! Unfortunetly we had already left so couldn't ask for them to be reheated but when you're paying over £4 for a sandwich it is disapointing.

Admittedly we stopped to shelter from the rain whilst walking into town. Coffee was great, but service very slow considering there were 5 staff - it felt rather disorganised. Also I object to the Coffee #1 standard practice of asking 'would I like to try our seasonal blend' in a tone that suggests it's a no-cost option, when in fact it's an additional cost. If it's that great a deal - say it's more money, and see whether the uptake is the same (hint: it won't be - therefore it's misleading) - the dishonesty bugs me on what is otherwise a good brand for coffee.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the drinks were served with a glass of ice. However they were slow to clear tables and didn’t clean any while we were there. They weren’t busy all the time, so would have been able to clean round quickly.

There are many positive things about this Coffee#1 and the chain. However, because they do not put a rubbish bin outside, the surrounding area gets badly littered. This attracts gulls. There are some provided by the Estate, but they are not close. Just lazy management.

We go to Coffee #1 regularly, and have continued to do so for takeaway coffee during lockdown. The staff are always polite and friendly, and the coffee is great. Just a shame they don’t have any gluten-free options!

We’ve all got tired of “have a nice day” and the barista forced smile. Well this is different they have conversations, they care about you - as a customer: it’s so warm and genuine. It’s a joy - not sure I should be sharing the secret. But get there and enjoy the experience.

We found this place by accident after walking along the River Avon. And it did not disappoint. We order the hot chocolate deluxe (one white and one normal) plus 2 pasteis de nata and it was amazing! We sat outside in the sunshine and took in the river view. Definitely a great place to meet friends with lots of space and parking. Just lovely.

Great new and clean coffee shop for the Bath Riverside. Great place to relax with free wi-fi and enjoy a coffee. Different selection of food and drink to the usual large coffee chains. There's a really nice local and friendly vibe inside and the fact well-behaved dogs are accepted is fantastic! Great stop on the way to the park.

Not really sure what the review before was talking about I have been to Coffee #1 numerous times since it’s opened with my dog and been very aware of the friendliness that the staff pay to their customers and their dogs and this is one of the reasons I often return, and as I’m in the same profession I have also been aware that they most definitely do adhere to the highest standards of hygiene, maybe the customer wasn’t able to see that they have facilities behind the counter that customers can’t see.Its always a great shame when people feel the need to slate a new business without the facts but hey ho that’s the general public I suppose.I will most certainly be recommending coffee#1 to all my friends. The only think I would like to see would be a slightly bigger choice of sandwich snacks

My boyfriend and I spent a lovely few hours sat outside in the sun drinking very good coffee, eating generously filled ciabattas and treating ourselves to a couple of delicious cakes. Such a great way to spend an afternoon in Bath; by the river and away from the noise and business of the high street! The staff were super friendly as well and the fact that it's dog friendly meant we got to meet several new four-legged friends.

We visited this coffee shop yesterday will in Bath. The place is very well located along the river on a new complex area of flats and apartments. We purchased our coffees and sat at a table inside. While sat we noticed a sign on the wall saying that they accepted dogs indoors, which was fine with me. After time 2 different couples came in with their dogs and sat down. The bit I was very unhappy about was that 2 members of staff came over and cuddled the dogs, then went straight back behind the counter and started serving other customers without washing their hands.

I'm a frequent visitor to bristol airport, as my partner travels for work, so I'm often there to wait for his flights to come in. Unfortunately, there are very few options for anywhere to sit while waiting, other than cafe ritazza. Because of this, the cafe area is always busy, and all the regular/normal seating is always taken, so I have to try get my 50+yo arthritic, short arse up one one of their many Eiffel tower height stools, and if that's not hard enough, the darn things also swivel! No wonder all the other seating is always taken, and all these 'make yourself look like an ungainly idiot' seats are always free in huge numbers. Please please please cafe ritazza, rethink your seating options. Not everyone is an 8ft tall gymnasts.

I’m a travelling Australian and got excited about some home-style food but this was so bad. The rice clumped together like it was days old, the kale was discoloured and the serving size was pitiful. Could have made something much better myself for far less than the £15 I paid for this and a mediocre chai. Service wasn’t even friendly. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I had a juice there a few days ago and it was pretty decent - otherwise it would have been a one. And - on the plus side it didn’t taste terrible but the rice was a bit suss.

Great coffee shop! We love coming here. All the staff are lovely and take the time to have a chat. Coffees are beautiful too. They can get really busy and the baristas struggle to keep up with the table turnaround which some people don't seem to understand but you can see they try their best. Will happily keep returning.
