Lovely coffee as always, but lunch was VERY disappointing. A very dry and barely pressed ‘tuna melt’ panini, there was no melt at all, and all I could taste were peppers. It looked rather sad on the plate, and tasted pretty sad, too. I have to say there are better places to eat lunch in Daventry, come on Coffee#1, up your game!

I’ve been quite a few times now, on my own, with the fiancé, with friends. The staff are always so lovely, friendly, efficient. The cake/sweet/pastry choices are great, the raspberry croissant is a personal favourite. The restaurant is always a nice place to relax. The bathroom is always clean. Can’t fault it as a place to enjoy a coffee. The staff make it a great experience, nothings too much trouble and they're always smiling (which is not easy I know, I used to work in a cafe). Tables are always cleaned and tidied quickly. They're an asset to Daventry!

Love the friendliness, quality of service and excellent coffee whenever I visit. This is surprising given how busy the coffee shop gets. The staff work their socks off to provide a good service. It’s a great place for individuals, families, people with dogs, and even people like me who thrive on the ambience whilst working. Thank you for your great service, team!

This place is a mess had to clean my own table. Trays are filthy and the tea pot. Cups as well. The manager is sat in the corner looks like. Won’t come again.

This is a good place with great staff. The food needs some work.I had the breakfast wrap and it was very dull. The savoury food is very bland. The cakes are great. Do feel at times that they need more staff but the ones they have work very hard to keep up.

Looking for a quick bite and a coffee on Sunday morning in Daventry and I was faced with a choice between Costa Coffee or Coffee #1 just around the corner. So I headed to Coffee #1. This is a big spacious coffee shop with a great relaxed ambiance that would be great for a casual coffee with friends, family or a relaxed business meeting. the decor is really nice. A good selection of cakes and desserts to choose from as well as savoury eats. I had a Regular DeCaf Latte (£2.75) and a couple of Portuguese Custard Tarts (£1.75 each). Both coffee and pastry were very good as was the service. If you can't decide between Coffee #1 or Costa Coffee then for me it's Coffee #1 hands down.

We visited family in the summer when restrictions allowed and having 2 children, finding a coffee shop near the park is always a bonus! We ended up coming in here for our mid-morning coffee and cake each day of our holiday as Mark made our first visit relaxed and made sure we felt welcome. The atmosphere is nice, the coffee shop inside and out was clean and the sanitising station and one way system were easy to follow. We would highly recommend this little gem of a coffee shop, the coffee and cakes were fresh and tasty too! Thanks for making us feel welcome Mark

Coffee#1is the Cafe that I have been fortunate enough to spend many mornings enjoying a Coffee or two of your choice. The Food and Cake selections are amazing and Toasted Tea Cakes simply the best. The Staff are second to none in there approach to myself and customers alike. Mark especially is the kind of guy who makes a coffee experience the best. He’s so cheerful, helpful, equally very professional in his role serving myself and the general public. The whole experience for me in Coffee#1 really is a great start to my mornings.Great Lattes Comfortable Seating , Great Atmosphere brilliant Staff. Thank you Mark for always always making a coffee morning so great. In theses unprecedented times it has always been noted that all staff have been on the ball with Masks Track & Trace and Sanitises. I use this establisment regularly and just would like to say what a great place it is. The variety of beverages is amazing with all dietry requirements catered for. You are spoilt for choice on the amazing cakes and sandwiches etc on offer. The manageress Michelle is a credit to the company with her cheerfulness, humour and warm welcome. She is so dedicated to her job and excels at it. Her team are all amazing as well and reflect the sort of manager she is ... They always seem so happy and positive. In such a place, abiding by the Covid rules must be hard but the staff make it look so easy ... all the given guidelines are adhered too meticulously and you feel at easy knowing the customers safety is put first. I certainly would have no hesitation in visiting this coffee shop or recommending it. In fact, given all the other coffee shops in the close vacinity, I opt for going to Coffee#1 all the time. Thanks to Michelle and her team the branch has gained another VERY satisfied customer. Thank you Michelle and co, you certainly are a breath of fresh air in these current climes. Keep up the excellent work. 😁

We visit often but this will be the last time. Many and I mean many customers being served without masks. Customers walking around without masks not using hand get and not doing track and trace. Quite shocking in the times we live in.

Lovely coffee shop in Daventry town centre with a wide range of beverage and snack choices. Enjoyed takeaway orders of a oat milk vanilla caffe latte and Rooibos tea but noticed the slightly dearer prices than one would find elsewhere. For example, the regular coffee (pictured) touched just shy of 4 GBP. If it wasn’t for the quality, it would be more objectionable.

The best Moules a la Creme outside Brussels but for one thing, it was described as Moules Mariniere which it most definitely wasn,t. But the mussels were big, juicy, succulent in a cream sauce to die for. Pity the Chicken Kiev had no garlic butter AT ALL. And when I asked to talk to the chef to congratulate him on his mussels he never came - the difference between a family resturant and a commercial one. What a pity.

The Staff at The Olive Branch always have a smile and they are volunteers. Nothing is too much trouble and they always make us feel welcome. The Homemade Cakes look delicious and the large Cheese Scones are always eaten by my friends. In the colder weather my friends usually have their soup and I always see someone in there eating a Full English Breakfast at lunchtime.

Small party (5 of us) went for our Christmas lunch. Starter was very small. I had the ham hock terrine which should have had Christmas chutney(?) but came with piccalilli. It was nice but 2 small pieces of pitta bread seemed a bit mean. Mains came out and the plates were very cold. The food was tepid and the gravy was also very cold. These were sent back and we were assured fresh meals were being prepared. The mains came out on hot plates and the food was hot. Not entirely certain they hadn't just been microwaved. Desserts were nice enough but nothing to make you say wow. Overall disappointing meal for something that should have been enjoyable. Portions were very small considering the price of the Christmas menu. Background music was too loud.

Had a great Sunday Lunch with my husband on Sunday 3rd November 24. The white wine was also very nice and chilled in nice tall stem glass. Lovely tasty meat, I had the pork and my husband had the chicken very good thank you.
