Coffee Revolution in Wakefield

Scrambled eggs were more water/milk than eggs, not very nice and as hard as the staff try the quality of the service and the food has gone down. Never have enough bacon. And portion of mushrooms added to my sausage sandwich was pitiful. I believe there were about 8 slices. For the best part of two hours wage you expect something that leaves you feeling appreciated and not a burden.

Visited today for a spot of brunch. Heinz - Toasted teacake Husband - Sausage and Cheese Panini. Strawberry and Banana milkshake. Wife - Sausage and Cheese panini. Iced caramal frappe. Friensly atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, even advised to add crisps to our meal to get it cheaper as its a meal deal. Food was exactly as you would expect from a coffee shop, that's not a bad thing. Perfectly edible and enjoyed it. The only bad thing was the milkshake was a little warm and not the type of milkshake that was expected but it didn't cost the world so it is what it is. Will call again when around and need a quick bite to eat, will grab photos next time. All in all recommended. P.s the wife said the gent smiled at me as in "hello"... I missed it... Sorry I wasn't being rude... So... I smile in return - > 😊

Having Coeliac Disease it's hard to eat out, however, Coffee Revolution have a superb range of gluten free options all labelled on their menu. Staff are clued up on cross contamination, there is a separate toaster for GF and staff wear gloves when handling a GF order. Thank you so much for making me feel confident and safe eating out! Food was delicious and coffee is great!

Wonderful strong coffee, not overpowered by the milk. Lovely liquorice flavour to the coffee. Friendly staff. Medium size is very generous cup

What a lovely coffee shop! Very friendly and caters for everyone. Grandchildren were very happy with jacket potatoes and milkshakes while I enjoyed a fabulous latte and a toasted sandwich. The staff were all happy to help and brought everything to the table. Could not recommend this place enough. We will be back very soon.

Visited here a couple of weeks ago with my wife and kids and can’t recommend the place highly enough. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, drinks we’re amazing, especially the milkshakes and the food was lovely and freshly prepared in front of you. Very reasonably priced too, drinks and food for 2 adults and 2 kids (including milkshakes) for less than £20. Will definitely be visiting again.

Only coffee shop in Castleford that you need to know about. Yummy coffee, fresh food, plenty of choice and great prices. Love the indoor and outside seating options. My mini human loved her unicorn milkshake!!

Located on the pedestrian main street and popular with locals. Friendly staff, pleasant decor, good choice of food and well-priced.

Great 1st visit, can not fault this place. Upon arrival the place was very busy, staff were busy clearing tables but still made a point of welcoming us into the building and assisted us to find a place to sit (had a toddler and a baby in a pram with us.) My 3 year old daughter is newly diagnosed with coeliac disease so we currently struggle finding good gluten free options for her when eating out. The menu here has some good GF options and this is all clearly labelled on the menus so making a choice was very easy. Quick service at the till, when I returned back to my table I realised I had made a mistake on the order and when I went back to the till to change the order the member of staff very quickly sorted this out for me and was very understanding. Food was lovely, just what you want from a coffee shop in a small town. Overall a great 1st visit, I highly recommend this place to anyone who hasnt tried it. We will be visiting again soon.

Myself, my daughter and my mum regularly visit this cafe for either breakfast or lunch and we love it. Friendly staff amazing food and the strawberry smoothie is to die for!! We wouldn't go to any other cafe now. Cannot recommend enough!

Called for drinks and snacks, had an Americano and a pot of tea together with cheese on toast and a toasted tea cake. Everything was fine and well presented, the staff where pleasant and helpful. Just one small gripe, you had to have two slices of cheese on toast for some reason, do not know quite why.

I have visited this coffee shop a few times in recent weeks. I have always found it to be extremely clean. The staff are very friendly and always willing to assist in anyway they can. Interior is very well laid out and very tastefully dome. There is plenty of out door seating. Couldn’t recommend this shop highly enough. So next time you are in Castleford and want a break visit here for a friendly warm welcome and truly lovely coffee

The food and drink is always lovely here. Good quality and nice tasting. Lots of replicas have popped up on Carlton Street lately but this is still the best.

I was really impressed with my lunch at Revs; The Cheese & Onion Toastie was fresh & full of flavor, and the Latte creamy- cheaply priced too. I like the decor & the feel of the place, very welcoming atmosphere. The only thing stopping this becoming a 5* rating, was that the tables needed a wipe down, and my friends Pepsi was warm, even though it was out of the fridge. Overall, doing a swell job. Thankyou for this cheap, little hideaway.

Best coffee shop by far i just cannot and will not use any other anymore. The staff are brilliant nothings too much trouble (im rather fussy with how i like my coffee and they always go that extra mile to make sure its hown i like it) really friendly place always clean warm and welcoming. Kids wanted a milkshake today and said they had been before for one, so I obliged along with a latte. We decided to order food afterwards to decide, all brought to our table with speed and nicely presented. A lovely local cafe and used to call here most mornings before work.

Plenty of room between tables for private chat . Friendly staff quick service . Staff never stand idol one of them is always cleaning . Soft low chairs for comfort as well as standard chairs inside and out .

I absolutely love visiting Coffee Revolution.. choose whether I order a teacake, a toasted sandwich or a jacket potato, it's always hot and extremely well presented. Revs milkshakes are second to none and the staff are always, always, polite, friendly and chatty. Thumbs up guys!

If you're shopping in Castleford, there's only one place to go to be guaranteed good food and drink and that's Rev's. The staff can't do enough for you. Its clean and not overpriced like a lot of places. Great experience every time. Well worth a visit.

We have used this coffee house a few times now and the service is the best the staff are always on hand to offer help and assistance the food choices are vast for such a small place.

My grandaughter and I visit Revs on a regular basis for breakfast or lunch. We find the staff very friendly and they always make time for a chat with my grandaughter. The food is lovely and generous in portions whilst being good value for money. I am a fussy eater but the staff are always happy to accomodate any requests i make with my order.I have always found the cafe to be clean and tidy even during busy periods.

Me and my family visit here every Saturday morning. After been a Castleford resident for 26 years I have to say this is the best coffee shop in Castleford. The staff are always friendly and will cater to your needs. They have a wide range of products and the food and drink are brilliant and well worth the money. The value of any establishment is the customer service the staff give and this establishment truly lives for that. It is a true pleasure to visit this coffee shop.

We visited here this weekend for coffee and lunch, place was busy cannot work out why? We had coffee a chicken tikka toastie and a Cheese, pesto and sundried tomato melt. The toastie was filled with salad which was a surprise, as it was cooked chicken sandwich filler from the supermarket with coleslaw that was on the turn, and some tortilla chips with no flavour.The pesto melt was again filled with salad ?? and hardly no cheese so not as advertised. The table was sticky to the touch, the place looked like it needed a good bit of TLC that was missing, water stains on the wall and ceiling above where we were sat. Not great value for money I felt; oh and a shared toilet with no running hand blower to dry your hands and no hand towels either. Revolutionary no I think not.

Me my sister and mother went today for afternoon tea,the sandwiches and scones and cakes were gorgeous couldn't fault it,the staff were really friendly and very very helpful,we will definitely be going again and will recommend it to other people.

Went here with my mum and sister my son who is 4 and my daughter 9 month old my sister also has a 9 month old plenty of room for both prams and high chairs for them. Kids menu was good offereing gluten free. Food was lovely plenty of it I was full for the rest of the day. I visited today with my friend her daughter and my grandchild . If I could give ten stars to this establishment I would .. staff were presented well and Kyle and his team went out off their way to make our visit enjoyable .. very clean and the food was delicious I couldn't fault anything I sampled the sweet chilli salad ..the salad itself was fresh and the sweet chilli chicken gave it that little extra kick .. I also had a latte coffee which I thoroughly enjoy .. I highly recommend anyone in castleford or visiting to give coffee revolution a try you won't regret it

This cafe is lovely, warm welcome from the helpful staff. The Latte I had was delicious. The food is presented well everything we ordered was good, in particular their toasted sandwiches. We will definitely be back soon to try the afternoon tea. Big thumbs up from us .

I wasn't aware of Revs until recently when a friend suggested we meet there for coffee. I was really impresssed by the friendly service, the quite extensive menu, the affordable prices...and a really nice latte! I'll certainly be calling in again.

I come here regularly with the wife and kids. The menu is always evolving and the food is always spot on. The drinks are fantastic and tasty choose whether it's a hot or cold drink. The staff are always happy to help and full of smiles. All round its a great place with a great atmosphere any time of day.

Won't go anywhere else in castleford for coffee and food. Just perfect place, friendly staff and brilliant food.

I don't regularly write reviews but I read them. Countdiso must be a scared competitor to Revs coffee shop. This is a properly ran family business with great ambition to help and serve anyone. I've been there frequently and I'm always met with a smile. It's a great place to go, relaxing, clean and great service. I promise anyone that you won't be disappointed.

A breath of fresh air for Castleford. Since it's opening I have visited frequently and found it to be an enjoyable, friendly visit every time. The staff are all extremely friendly and very helpful. Food and drinks are top notch! Favourite place to go for a bite to eat and half an hour to relax!

Went with both of my children 3 and 1 year old to meet a friend. Was made very welcome by the staff (whose couldn't do enough for us). The food and coffe that we had was fantastic and the atmosphere in the building was calm, tranquil and relaxing. There is always a great selection of food and drink available. The staff are friendly and always happy to help their customers. The shop is lovely to sit inside and enjoy a drink and food.

We have walked passed this place numerous times and today we called for a bite to eat the staff are very friendly and welcoming the food is delicious and the lattes are one of the best I have tasted. We will be regulars from now on there is outside seating also for warmer days.

I've wait a couple of months before writing this review to ensure I was suitably calm.Went in with my parter for a coffee, we went to the counter to get served. The girl behind the counter finished serving the previous customer and said we would have to wait because so was due to be doing something else and asked her colleagues to serve us.No one took over so she took my partners order but told me I'd have to wait (bit odd and annoying but we were in no rush). She asked my partner were she would be sitting and would bring the order over. My partner pointed to an empty table and was told it would not be long.Once a different server was found in was served, was asked were I would be sitting, I pointed to where my partner was sitting and was told they would bring the order over.After a minute or two a 3rd lady came over and said "you can shift this bits closed now you shouldn't have sat here"Rather shocked we went to the counter and started to ask about our order and where we could sit. We were told yeah just take any empty seat we will bring it over. The girl that had asked to "shift" said "they can't sit there I'm cleaning there"At this point we explained that we had just be told to move from these seats, and that as they didn't seem to be able to agree on where we could sit we would have our money back.The manager came out and did deal with us very professionally, and explained that they closed this section off at the same time every day for cleaning. However I don't think he grasped what our issue was. We had been served by two different people either of which when asking us where we were sat could have advised us not to sit where we were (especially if they close that section at the same time every day) and we could have been asked to move rather than been spoken to so rudely. When we raised the issue there should have been some clarity rather than a mixed response. The section could have been closed off in a better way, the only clue was a yellow sign laid down on a chair.Due to the rudeness I'll never go again.

This place is so friendly and relaxing. The coffee is amazing and puts Starbucks in the shade. The sub-sandwich was so fresh and tasty! Will definitely return. Cannot recommend enough, get yourself there and enjoy!!

A lovely place to visit, with a great selection of drinks, made to perfection right in front of you, the staff are quick with their service and very professional. I did not sample the food but my friend did and he said it was tasty and great value.Well worth the visit.

Popped in 2 days ago had a quick tea and coffee and 2 sandwiches, (not what we wanted but limited choice as it was only half hour before closing) but what we did have was very nice we would pop back when we have more time to try the menu at a slower pace.

Went in with an elderly person, staff did all that was asked of them to allow the person to overcome eating difficulties and to feel socially included

I have been a regular customer since the shop opened 2 years ago, and have genuinely seen the business go from strength to strength. Coffee Revolution is the perfect place for a nice lunch or a just a coffee and a catch up. They have a wide range of coffees varying from a simple Americano, right through to a Gingerbread and Mocha Frapuccino! Kyle and Gaz and the team have a wide variety of food which includes sub sandwiches that can be customised to your liking - I personally recommend the Rev's Italian which has a mixture of cured meats. I personally add cheese and garlic mayo and it is to die for. You can also upgrade your sandwich to a meal deal for a really good price. Rev's also offer some healthy options such as jacket potatoes and salads - the bacon and sausage are convection oven and are not fried in oils so are healthy as can be. They also offer gluten free options and soya milk for anyone with allergies and intolerances. All in all I would recommend anyone to come to Coffee Revolution. You won't be disappointed!

Does what is says on the tin friendly efficient staff. Small area on pestrian area for outside tables. Comfy chairs for some tables inside. Good selection of light meals snacks.

I absolutely love this cafe. They always have a gluten free cake for me to try and they offer gluten free bread. The salads are great and very filling. my son loves the milkshakes and they do a huge amount of flavours. The staff are friendly and the cafe itself is lovely. Can't rate it highly enough.

Since having my baby girl I've visted Revs on a few occasions.They serve fantastic coffee, fabulous cake and great sandwiches! My baby daughter is always welcome and the staff are so helpful, warming her bottle and providing high chairs. I'd recommend Revs to anyone looking for a welcoming, high quality coffee shop and eatery that can compete with any franchise with added smiles!

I visited here with my parents, neice and nephew. It's was clean and fab for space with having a pushchair and needing a highchair. The menu was great and had a lovely range for the kids also the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will defo be visiting again xx

We found this little place by chance and it is the best coffee in town with the most delicious food all served with a smile by the very friendly staff!!!! My partner and I visited this cafe after reading all the good reviews on TripAdvisor when in Castleford. Our lunch was lovely and we were amazed at how reasonable the prices were for everything. The staff were very cheery and we would not hesitate to visit again if in the area!

I just love this place me and my wife come here quite often its so nice that this is just not a greasy spoon at all. and they cater for everyones dietary needs as im celiac and very sensitive wish there were more places like revs!
