Coffee Republic in Dartford

Went yesterday to find the place is all boarded up. I don't know if it is shut for refurbishment or if it has shut down permanently. This is the second coffee shop I used that has been closed. My favourite was Costa in Waterstones. That's gone too.

Really poor customer service, my mum ordered a Cappuccino for herself and a caramel latte for me, the lady behind the till laughed at her infront of everyone, and when she was asked why she was laughing she made derogatory comments about the coffee order and saying “they do all sorts of flavours now it’s over the top” etc. It was a caramel latte. It’s hardly a complicated order, and it’s really none of her business to comment on what paying customers are ordering. She was the only member of staff not wearing a nametag either, so clearly she did not want to be identified. Won’t be returning.

We usually stop at Costa for coffee but there was a long queue so we moved on to Coffee Republic. This was the first time I had been in here and so glad we did. The coffee was really nice, better than some other coffee bars. They have some really comfortable chairs to relax in. There is also a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches as well. Next time I am in Bluewater this is where I'll have my coffee.

Great service friendly staff and they allow you to sit and chill as long as you have brought something there’s no hurry for you to leave The coffee is excellent the food is very nice too I would highly recommend this place

Best coffee in Bluewater, includes a loyalty scheme/card. Staff very friendly. Coffee is stronger than Costa for sure. Also do deals inc Bacon or sausage rolls in the mornings.

Made a visit to this store for the first time today and I wish I never. They were quick to serve us, but then we realised what was happening. Serve everyone quickly and then make loads of people wait…the orders were piling up, people were grabbing anyones orders, as there were no names taken. Clearly couldn’t handle the amount of people coming in. We ordered a coffee, milkshake and a toastie and waited over 20 mins, just standing there in a tiny space (no social distancing at all…). I got my coffee after 10 mins and the milkshake took another 5 mins. Then we were asked what toastie we were waiting for after handing what was ours to someone else who grabbed it. We then waited another 10 mins for this and other toasties were being handed out to people who were served after us. When I asked the young lady if it was coming she got attitude with me and said “it’s in the oven…” no apology nothing and when we finally got it, there was no apology at all. Absolute bunch of clowns, with no direction or system. Not a care at all. I work in the catering industry and if my staff ever treated customers like that they would be on their way out the door.

I have been visiting this store a few times a week for the last 4 years, the staff are fantastic, enthusiastic and efficient. After even just a few visits it will be clear that they care about every customer, they go above and beyond to help even during busy times. They make by far the best flat white at bluewater and the seating area is always clean and comfortable, I often like to sit down with a book before work which it is perfect for and often see other people with laptops and couples and friends enjoying intimate talks over their hot drinks. I couldn’t recommend this store enough, if you’re looking to visit bluewater make this one of your stops, you won’t be disappointed Adam 25

Visited today, staff very friendly despite the social distancing measures in place, I would return for the sticky orange chocolate cake, delicious!

Hi there I went here recently with my mum The staff are really friendly and helpful Had a great coffee and some lovely toast for our breakfast We did have to register for the nhs app but that was a problem

On my last visit I was served milk for coffee in a washable cup. This time in an espresso paper take away cup (I was drinking in). Don't they get that the public likes companies that at least try to avoid one shot products.

Came in for a business meeting pleased that milk for americano now served in washable jug bot paper cup. Coffee good service quick. Impressed the way they looked after someone with a disability.

First time to this chain, start with the positive the staff were attentive and friendly! The place was untidy lots of tables were piled up with dirty cups etc from previous customers and no one seemed worried about cleaning these away, which was a shame. The coffee and hot chocolate were fine and prices were competitive. The place was busy but you need to look at cleaning tables to meet customer needs?

The service was very off-hand and on top of that, I didn't like the coffee either. The coffee was far too strong and bitter for me. I asked the barista to pour half of it away and fill it to the top with hot water and the withering look I received would make paint blister. Most definitely not impressed.

Asked for a americano with cold milk and the milk was served in a small paper cup. Hardly environmentally friendly. A large reusable jug at end of counter would be so much more sensible. They could even poor it on counter for you.

I was served by a barista who clearly didn't want to be there. Coffee wasn't too clever either. Won't be back!

Hi I was here on tuesday or Wednesday having a quite latte with my mum When a mother and daughter came in in there electric wheelchairs either one could get out of there wheelchairsMicheal was the worker behind the till and he delivered great customer service to these to ladies by speaking directly to them coming away from the till and informing the to ladies of the type sandwiches they do plus the drinks He made sure they were in suitable bags and where the 2 ladies could reach them I watch the entire transaction and was very proud of his customer service level and thought I should tell everyone

In bluewater the best ever drinks!! Luxury Hot choc recommend , great staff and the seating area is clean and comfy , so much better than the other brands by far

First time here had a flat white and it was better than costa. Lemon drizzle slice was lovely as well and they do milkshakes which must be unusual for a coffee shop. Would definitely use again

This is a nice area on the top floor of Bluewater near House of Fraser for a coffee stop. The prices were average and the service was good. Tables were clean and chairs comfy.

Coffee is decent. Nothing spectacular, comes mostly in a big ol builders mug. Pastries are nice.

Loved the time I've spent there, the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.

Whenever I go to this coffee shop l always get great service I an treated more as a friend than a customer.

If nothing else a national coffee shop should train their staff to know that the milk is heated & frothed differently on different coffees. A bit of care in pouring the milk also makes the coffee better.

Friendly service but I can never get a normal sized cup. I asked for a regular coffee and it came in a 'bucket'. Obviously good value for money but I left half of it.

El personal y el servicio era bueno. Pero me compré un "despierta", que me pareció shakey sería una botella minúscula de bondad delicioso. Nos costó £2.95 y sabor de vinagre. Tuve que ir a Superdrug para conseguir una botella de agua (60 p) para deshacerse...

Tenía un descafeinado hielo y moka caliente. Ambos eran demasiado dulces y por suerte había omitido la crema de lo contrario sería demasiado. Las mesas aquí no fueron limpiaban con regularidad y tuvimos que sucios con mesas. Como de costumbre alimentos aquí eran demasiado caros....

Siento decir que el capuchino que tuve hoy era bastante horrible, media taza de espuma y extremadamente amarga café de degustación, que debería haber tenido que volver pero estaban ocupados, así que simplemente no beber de él. Café con leche de mi marido estaba bien...

Compras en Bluewater ayer me detuve para re combustible. Así que paramos en café Checa y tengo que decir que fue una agradable copa de café decente. Gracias

Muy buen café en un ambiente confortable. Mejor ya que la modernización. Puede que tengas que hacer cola, pero no por mucho tiempo.

Visited today whilst shopping, caramel macchiato and skinny popcorn. Very fast service, friendly staff and good coffee. Also comfy chairs for a break from shopping. Will visit again

myself and my husband often stop here for a coffee (skinny latte) while shopping and a nice big mug- medium and comfortable seating make for a pleasant break while walking round.

Når du er på besøg i et af Englands største shoppingcentre, er det skønt at kunne slænge sig i en dejlig lædersofa eller -stol og få en kop god 'latte' eller lignende - og måske et stykke kage eller wienerbrød. Betjeningen er som de fleste andre steder, men kaffen er rigtigt god! - og det går hurtigt.
