Coffee N Cream in Taunton Deane

Decided while shopping in Taunton to have some dinner , so stumbled across this cafe Coffee and cream (Wish i had not) . After looking at the menu my wife decided on gamon , onion rings and peas and chips and i went for sausage beans and chips. The lady on the till for what ever reason had to get another member of staff to help her as she could not find on the till what my wife wanted , but the other lady said she had sorted it. After about 20 mins our food arrived , my heart sunk , my order was correct , but my wife ended up with cold ham eggs and chips instead of what i asked for. I said to her i would take it back , but she said not to worry as she would eat that, given our return bus back to Yeovil was only 30 mins away. To top it off both of our plates were stone cold and within a few mins my beans were cold shortly followed by my chips and sausages . I will not be returning ever again . £17.00 wasted on 2 terrible dinners .

These traditional cheese-toastie-serving places can be more difficult to find; this one is hidden at the end of a small arcade in the town centre, but very happy we found it. Ordered tea, coffee, cheesy chips, toasted sandwich. Tea: 10/10 Coffee: 5/10 Cheesy chips: 8/10 Toasted sandwich: 10/10 price: 10/10. These places tend to do everything well except coffee; it was ok but a bit naff, no exception here, but mental note must always remember to have a tea in these places not coffee. They had a proper machine just the beans tasted very budget. On the plus side, the toasted sandwich was to die for. The walls are a bit weird being totally mirrored but you get used to it. Friendly service. Definitely will come back here next time in Taunton.

My husband took me here whilst he went to Iceland Im in a wheelchair and it’s too hard work for me in Iceland. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the premises were very clean will definitely go back

Found this place in a shopping precinct among a few closed down shops so not very busy but definitely worth trying.

A very nice breakfast with a play area for my grandson the staff were very friendly they also offer gluten free

My Coronation chicken salad that I ordered was absolutely delicious , very tasty and filled the plate ! The friendly and helpful service made this a very pleasant visit indeed . Don't be put off by the slightly dull appearance from the outside , you will not be disappointed by eating here . Next time I'm in Taunton I will definitely eat here again .

This cafe is very covid friendly, everywhere sanitised and clearly marked when areas are clean, socially distanced tables, friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous cakes too. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Went to the sandwich in crown walk in taunton,staff are so lovely,Tara is so nice she always have a smile,and she knows what we want when we go in.good is very good and tasty ,overall I recommend to all

Coffee and cream has recently been taken over by members of staff, it has become better than it ever was. We have an old codgers breakfast club, and it has become one of the better venues in Taunton for breakfast, with excellent fried bread. The cakes and sweet items look excellent, and relatives have used it quite regularly for morning coffee and cakes.

Nice Peaceful place for a lovely cup of tea. The people at the counter were really friendly and helpful very nice.

We stumbled across this little gem on a stroll around after discovering warrens had closed again and needing something plain for my little one to eat. She had a lovely cooked scrambled egg on toast and we had toasties. Not only was the food good, the service was warm and friendly and unlike some places where you feel like a fish out of water, this one felt comfortable. We will be back :)

This place use to be awful dirty and awful service now with new owners completely different.I walked past other day and looked fresh warm and inviting so I went in and wow was I impressed.A smile from staff great service and staff wanting to be there.Saw them help old ladies with trays of their coffee and have a selection of 10 different teas with homemade cakes.Also has a sandwich bar to take away wow it looked all so yummy.I had a curry was so tender and lovley The rice was fluffy anD ppopudoums were scrumptious.The main difference is now they seem to have a new owner that cares glad I walked past other day cause next time I won’t be walking past but walking in to sample the extensive menu they have
