Visited there today with my family. 3 year old grandaughter asked for a ice-cream, we ordered a smaller than regular small cone as she will not eat all of it. We were still charged the normal 3 pounds for a smaller than normal cone. My grandaughter wanted a chocolate teacake (Tunnocks) I came to pay for 1 of same & I was flabbergasted to be charged 1 pound. I asked staff had she made a mistake in her charges & she replied no. I told her I was disgusted at the price & pointed out you could buy these in the shops at 69pence for a box of 6. She replied that she did not set the prices. I find this a total rip off & who ever sets the prices should be ashamed of themselves. I will avoid the place in future.

I visited Coffee In The Park for a business meeting. I grabbed a lovely coffee and thick buttered toast whilst, I was there. Pros: Location Friendly staff Cafe and surroundings Tasty food and coffee A lovely and wonderful park Wheels For All (Disability Cycling Session) is great to attend before visiting the café Cons: Food and drinks are expensive, but they support the running of the building.

In the day and age we live in its shocking to see such blasé staff and attitudes alike. Many problems present. The biggest was the understanding, or lack of, when it comes to the vegan lifestyle. I ordered a jacket potato with beans after being told it can be made vegan safe. On receiving a lukewarm potato nearly 20 minutes later I found it too be drowning in butter. I am lactose intolerant. It made me quite sick later on that evening. On questioning it I was given the offer of a new one which 15 minutes later was yet to show up so I left. The staff provided me with a refund but the attitude that came along with it ensured I will not return. A beautiful park is the perfect location for a high standard cafe but it isn't found here. Being confused about food allergies and lifestyle choices is a thing of the past. Desperate need for education.

Who is you explore such an iconic park why not stop for a coffee? Food is also served at very reasonable prices in revisiting centre

Possibly the worst poached eggs! Toast with margarine, my friends eggs were half missing and partly un cooked, mine were slightly better, presentation awful, such a shame as this is a great location, and very busy !

not that great, could be so much better if they had a proper chef or someone that knows about food. Could do a lot better.

Booked in for coffee and Danish pastries for about 40 guests to mark my 70th birthday today. Managers, Jenna and Jo, were excellent, both before the event (helping me to plan what would work best) and also making sure everything went smoothly on the day. The room was ready for us when we arrived and they managed to serve everyone quickly. Great cup of coffee too! Thanks a bunch.

Popped in after a few hours in Birkenhead park. Quite a pleasant surprise and a nice addition to what was a summer day out.

Dropped in here as I killed some time awaiting a family member. The decor is smart, clean and modern and warm on a cold windy autumn morning. I only had a large Americano coffee which was average price for a good coffee ( the milk was cold). I read the menu and noted that the food is priced on the steep side so can understand peoples complaint.

We went today for brunch and coffee after a dog walk. Me and my partner both had eggs benedict which was nice. If you're like me though and prefer plainer food, ask for the sauce on the side as there was a lot! We had hot chocolate and a mocha with a doughnut to share which were also nice too. I think £6 for the eggs benedict each was a bit expensive for what it is, but I suppose anywhere which has a captive audience is the same. Overall, nice food and friendly enough staff will certainly take us back there if we are passing on a walk. Dog friendly outside too with the water bowls which was a nice touch.

Gorgeous little spot to grab a coffee for a morning walk or an ice cream for a sunny day. All glass so you can chill inside if it's raining but a little more seating is needed. Close to the Chinese Bridge so would recommend a coffee and a stroll down the path opposite. This little coffee shop is a credit to Birkenhead park (I was showing it off to a visiting scouser) and the pricing is good. Lots of choices for ice cream (Jaffa cake, sprinkles, cherry cheesecake!) Would recommend asking for hot milk as the coffee was a bit cold 👍🏻

We called for a coffee not long before they were due to close, but staff were still happy to serve us without making any comment, despite them clearing items away and tidying up. We had a Lavazza Cappuccino which was good and sat outside in the glorious sunshine to drink it. The cafe has nice views of the gardens and park from both inside and out. It is located in the Visitor Centre Building.

nice park .... great building .........food ok .... but the prices are massively marked up......service ssssssllllllllllooooooowwwww oh so very slow , no idea how to speed up a queue , take an order - make the order - serve it -take payment ... serve next one , they do that with everything no matter how large or small an order . ... queue large ? best not ask if anyone just wants drinks or put one of the staff on drinks only or have one taking orders and others serving them , no serve everyone in turn . even on a hot bank holiday or weekend or when an event is on no , they dont even ask people to stand to the side while they wait for their order so the next can be taken .... , its a long drawn out process , ive seen plenty of people just give up .... and on a hot day itd be quicker just to go to the shops or the excellent , quick and cheap ice cream van by the playground instead - and people do .... should separate drinks and ice cream from everything else (most park cafes do this at busy times --- vale park is a good example of this as is Stanley park), get the kids in and out quick ive been in many many cafes all over the world and none made me wait as long just to take my order (theres a long wait for it to be filled as well) or charge as much for it than here .

We visit every weekend ( Saturday and Sunday ) as a family; my father in law, brother in law with his family, my children and I. We also spend a lot of school holidays here. Food is always freshly prepared, coffee is delicious and hot. Staff are amazing; Adam runs the park cafe tremendously well, with his team, and a special mention to Leanne. Excellent people skills and comfortably friendly, fun customer service will always bring people back. Well done!!

After waiting for 10 minutes while 1 person served coffees which took him ages . How hard can it be to pour water into a cup. Would of been quicker to grow my own beans. When it was eventually served it was cold. Ordered a panini which after waiting 20 mins for looked about as appetising as a week old 1 . No taste no filling very poor . Will definitely not be coming back here

We found this little gem as we walked along the street. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, and had very nice staff. we both had a light lunch which was very good and the coffee excellent - piping hot and just as we like it. It is also dog friendly and had a corner with plenty of things to amuse the children. We really enjoyed our visit,

Used to go here a lot and the last two time we have been they now fill the salad boxes half full when you are paying just under £4. I also pay extra for pasta and you get around 6 pieces. Won’t be going back anymore as it’s not worth the money, when there are other places so close by.

What can I say except sublime! The cakes where fantastic. There was plenty, but not too much, chocolate and the choice inspired (the six of us all had a different favourite). It’s not just the food though, the building is gorgeous and the dining room is a very special place to have an afternoon tea.

Currently on a miserable no caffeine and limited sugar diet for medical reasons, treated myself to an iced decaf cappuccino and found 20 mins later when I sat down to drink it that it was topped with a ridiculously thick layer of sweet cream. What a waste of money and time waiting
