Coffee Corner in Thanet

I’ve always thought this place is quite expensive for what it is but the coffe / milkshakes are great so always come in when visiting wwx. However didn’t have the best visit today normally the staff are very friendly however was served by someone else today she didn’t smile or anything just kept giving me what seemed like dirty looks then looking away was very off putting just in general very unfriendly I don’t know if it was where they only had half an hour before closing or what but it wasn’t pleasant. Other lady serving wasn’t great no thanks goodbye or anything then to top it off the milkshake was very weak thought about asking for another but decided not too where the staff seemed unfriendly

Walked in and staff were arguing over ice, girl on front counter was lovely but I am guessing the manager woman was just rude. As we was leaving they was all arguing again - the ice tea was awful and far too sweet. I will not be coming back.

Had a morning coffee with three other friends. Although the place was pretty packed for a Friday morning, we were able to have our private conversation and be seated comfortably. The coffee and tea were good too. There’s also an assortment of cookies and pastries (and sandwiches).

Normally enjoy a really good coffee and a snack with a friend, in a very lively friendly atmosphere... However, today whilst waiting to place my order, I was a bit surprised to hear members of staff breaking into a very heated argument about clearing tables..... It was embarrassing to witness. Not very professional..

I drink decaf coffee and this has to be the most disgusting tasteless coffee ever!! We won’t be back for coffee.

If you're shopping in the Westwood Cross Shopping centre, Coffee Corner is a very good place to drop into for a drink and/or a snack. Friendly, welcoming staff and a good choice of drinks and snacks available. Our freshly made coffee was very good. Seating both inside and outside and wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

Needed to have have a cup of coffee and a light bite. Can’t complain about this place, clean and tidy. Good food and drink and not at all expensive. All the staff were polite, one member stood out for her work ethic, customer service, cheerfulness and overall manner when dealing with customers, (young lady, ginger hair in a ponytail), big round of applause. We will return.

Me, my mum and daughter were in wwx looking for somewhere cheap to have a coffee and eat, this place looked busy so thought we would try it, quickly i realised there was no clear tables after waiting 5 mins for someone to clear a table i had enough and took everything off myself and took it too the counter, a woman im guessing is the manager (dark hair older woman) then told me to take it into the back where the kitchen is so they can wash it like i was a member of staff, i then decided to go to the toilet where i found human faeces on the floor, i quickly exited and told the same lady in which is replied “thats fine dont worry about it ill sort it in a bit” the tone of her voice sounded like she wasn't shocked at all almost like someone else had also complained about it. I think its completely unacceptable that this wasnt dealt with as urgent, i didnt see anyone go to deal with it in the next 5 mins so we quickly left and ate elsewhere, never in my life have i ever come across somewhere that has such low standards and treats customers like staff defiantly will not be returning.

Did ask for help with drinks as did need support and instead a customer helped us. Also not offered a card for next time, unfortunately don't feel like it's a good environment to bring someone with disabilities.

The worst hot chocolate in the developed world, and not exactly a nice muffin. Served on a filthy try, woth filthy knifes. Could not see any listeria but i'm sure the table had ample. Shame. Some of the food looked ok, but not tried.

Cafe it's self was clean and had plenty of seats. However my partner and I were rushed to decide what we wanted to order (we were taking a few minutes to look as this was the 1st time we had gone there and didn't know what they served). Staff were blunt and inpatient, the food wasn't anything special, the only nice thing was the hot chocolate. Overall disappointed and will not be going back

Popped in while at Westwood Cross. The place has a nice atmosphere. Had a coffee and a panini, my wife had the soup. All really good. I think the owners have an excellent attitude, and that's the difference between a locally owned cafe and one of those big chains the owners look after people and have invested time energy and emotion into building a business that they care about. I'll go again.

As a local is it such a shame this doesn’t live up to any standard. The food is bland and the staff don’t have a clue how to communicate and everything is very disorganised. They also do not cater for allergies very well.

What a lovely place to take a break, coffee was lush and staff friendly oh and everything affordable, happy days

My mother and I visited the shop today for a coffee & cake & we wish we never bothered! We asked if the new mint latte was gluten free (GF), as the notifications around the cafe state to do if we have any allergies to ask before ordering anything. We were told they did not know and it seemed a hardship for them to even find out, even with new the laws about allergies. I then had to check the packet myself as they were not aware and obviously to also put the ownership on me if anything was to happen. My mum also brought me a GF cake which at the time we did not know we're in the same area as the normal cakes. When I received my cake I found a cake piece from another cake that it was clearly sat next to. When we complained they changed the cake and we saw this was taken from the fridge and was separate. However, when my mum asked the staff about the cake lay outs with non GF and GF cakes the staff were very rude and explained they did not have to keep these separate, which is clearly unsafe and incorrect practice. A younger member of staff was laughing as this was all taking place and I had to explain it is fine for her to laugh but she has to realise how serious this was as people have died from allergies. We were told to complain to the company if we had an issue, which we will be doing along with the local council. Advice for anybody with allergies stay clear from this shop as it is not worth the risk! Clearly their practices and ownership of any allergies despite the posters, are not as high as should be and this is mirrored with how unprofessional they were when questioned about information they should be aware of.

A friend and I visited here a handful of times whilst in Margate and the milkshakes are to die for! The sausage rolls are also immense. Reasonable value for money - not the cheapest of places but not overly expensive either. Plenty of seating inside and out. Be prepared for a little wait for drinks when they’re busy. The staff were very friendly.

We frequently have a coffee and sometimes a toasted muffin whilst shopping in Westwood Cross. Coffee Corner is the best place to stop and have a great coffee. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming.

This family run café is a must visit. Me and the Mrs was visiting the shopping centre and wanted to grab some lunch some where. Not only the shop was extremely clean and well kept but the staff there was super welcoming and made our visit an unforgettable visit. Food was top quality an what can I say, best coffee i have had in a while. Definitely recommend if visiting the area or even make a trip to visit the café as you will not be disappointed Again thanks to the staff for being super friendly and accommodating to the Mrs allergies when it came to preparing the food and drinks 100/10

Extremely versatile, perfect environment for a quick business meeting, or just a casual family eat-in. The cafe latte is my personal favourite.

Best milkshake and coffees in the whole of Kent Food was amazing fresh and able to choose what I wanted none of that factory made nonsense like big chains have. Keep it up loving them new look.

A latte is a milky coffee with no foam on top (basically just coffee with warm milk) and a cappuccino is a milky coffee with half a cm of foam spooned into the cup. I'd expect better from a coffee shop in such prime position...

The brand new shop is gleaming and stocked with everything you could ask for in a coffee shop.Professional helpful friendly staff nothing is too much trouble for them.Very reasonably priced food and drinks from a varied menu.I thoroughly enjoyed my bacon and brie panini and Mocha will definitely be back.

Visited Coffee Corner with family for lunch, staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food was lovely and fresh and as for the Coffee it is the best coffee ever, I would love to be able to buy their coffee. Well worth the visit for sure, don't hesitate. Highly recommend you to go.

Always clean, polite helpful staff. great coffee and snacks including jacket potaotes. But the reason for this review is the Coffee Freezer, I've tried various versions from all the coffee chains but this is delicious. Been having them for a while now but consistently moorish and a real treat. Can't wait to pop over to Tankerton and try one at there store there. If anyone knows the recipe, please tell. I like people watching at the store below and the fact that it doesn't seem to attract big groups of noisy young people. There is a lift for mobility issues including pushchairs.

Aparentemente sólo otro Coffee Corner existe en un centro comercial, pero este maidstone solía ser Café en República Dominicana. Mayor énfasis en batidos y helados que Costa o Starbucks, y las personas con discapacidad puedan acceder a la planta entresuelo de 50 asientos si usar el elevador en la parte trasera de WHS. Dos eran un café personal ligeramente llenas, algunos clientes sentados en sillas acolchadas, el resto en mesas para cuatro personas. Yo tenía un café y un pastel de Eccles, por un poco menos que el dos, y aunque fuera, algunos prefieren señalizado para acceder a la planta baja cerca. alternativas Platos calientes como tostados, pero podría ser esperar si más gente. Puede ver los clientes si estos asientos más smiths son gratis.

Good selection for good for a coffee shop better than the big chains. Clean efficient service with a small outside area as well as the extensive inside area. Clean toilets both suited for disabled and baby change.

Visiting the area for the first time, I came across this cafe by chance. Polite and pleasant staff... nice toastie snack made on the premises. Being a coffee lover, I fear new places won't come up to scratch, but, their coffee is very good indeed. This is now a go to lunch stop when in the area!

Solía ser un buen lugar para ir. Fuimos allí hoy en 2,40 h (señal que cierra a las 3.30pm) ya estaban limpiando pisos aunque la gente comía. Nos ignoraron en un principio. Una vez notado pedimos patatas chaqueta (algunas eran visibles, cocinado en el lado) nos dijeron que estaban sirviendo sándwiches tostados. Lo comentamos y experiencias de la hora de cierre para que me dijeran que poner los artículos de delicatessen, así que no podíamos hacerlo. Dos clientes habituales perdido.

My family always have our lunch in here when we are in the Westwood area. There salad is crisp and fresh, which they always put on the side for you. There choice of fillings for the panini's are bacon, Brie and cranberry sauce, mozzarella, tomato and pesto, tuna and cheese all great. You get a hot chocolate or a choice of their coffee's or a chai latte. Good value, clean and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

It's fun sitting above the shoppers of W H Smiths whilst you have a nice coffee or tea. This is a fun place and a fab respite from the hub bub below.

Nice place to come and have lunch has a nice atmosphere & friendly staff and very comfortable seating. If you visit you must try the Nutella milkshake its to die for! The food pricing though is a little dear for what you get if you want a drink with a sandwich be prepared to pay near £10 for it come here with a family your looking at near restaurant prices for just a small lunch then again it is classed as a coffee shop.
