We finally had the chance to visit after reading about the cafe online, and we weren't disappointed. It's a charming little place, easily overlooked if you're driving through Contin, and we were pleased to find it has (a small amount of) parking at the rear, as there isn't much choice in the village otherwise if you want to stop. Inside there is room for about 12 people spread out over the 5 tables, so it's cosy but full of character and it's clear just how old the building is. We wanted to try the savoury pastry options in particular, so went for the Vegan special and meat Sausage Roll choices respectively. We also included the extras, which are slices of cheese (local cheddar and brie), a couple of cherry tomatoes, and onion chutney. We both thoroughly enjoyed it all and were very impressed with the quality of the pastry and the flavours. The cheese and chutney also added a nice complimentary touch. I had tea but my hubby had a flat white, and remarked - positively - on the flavour of the coffee used (Dear Green, based in Glasgow). Overall the food and drink were really good, and the welcome lovely and warm. We'll definitely be back, atlhough we're guessing that in summer when it's busier it might be a case of opting for take-away, given the space constraints inside. We'd definitely recommend.

First rate coffee and delicious home made pork pies with a delightful Guinness Cake to follow. Set in a charming old smiddy with some of the old workings still in place. Friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended,

A curious wee wine bar in one of the oldest parts of Inverness. The staff were informative and helpful and obviously knew their stuff. The food looked good but we only had drinks.

We LOVE this cafe and gallery space. My daughter is continuing her mission of trying every hot chocolate she can find in Scotland and after many years she has concluded that this cafe makes the very best one! The staff are really lovely too - friendly and welcoming - and we love the space. It's a real treasure trove full of interesting things every time we visit. Highly recommended 👌

We stopped here before a hike in Cairngorm National Park. The Café is lovely and decorated with much love. The pictures are beautiful and show a variety of scottish landscapes. The food, savory as well as sweet, was very good and perfect to start our day. All the staff were friendly and attentive, we definitely recommend the freshly made cinammon donuts!

It's great to see somewhere only have a few options for food and drinks, because they do them so well. The soup and toastie were great and the homemade cakes were delicious. All good prices and had a lovely conversation with the staff. Would definitely visit again!
