Staying in Greenwich at the Premier Inn and fancied a decent fresh breakfast. This fantastic relaxed friendly place is just a few minutes walk away. Great menu choices including fresh juices and lovely coffee. Reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend eating here.

We spent a weekend in Greenwich recently for the wedding of an old friend. Exhausted and dehydrated on a Friday afternoon, we chanced on 'Coffee and Beyond' on the way to the Premier Inn from the railway station. A delicious snack and two cups of coffee each really hit the spot and we decided to breakfast there on our way back to the station on the Sunday morning. Cat / Kat, who had served us on the Friday, remembered us and asked us how our weekend had gone. Her friendliness and a delicious breakfast set us up for the long journey home. Thank you. Pete and Jen.

Came in for coffee for the first time. Asked if there were any plugs. Ordered and paid. As soon as I opened the laptop they come to tell me that they have a “no laptop policy” on the weekend. As soon as I start asking why another woman (the manager?) aggressively points at a small sign stating the policy. Obviously they don’t offer refund, so I take my (average) cappuccino, paid 3.75 GBP to take away. I am not coming back. Steer clear of this place if you feel like you should be treated with respect.

It's the best coffee place in Greenwich in my opinion. I also love the ambience and avocado with bacon for brunch. The staff are lovely too.

Had a caramel latte on Saturday. I have to say it was quite possibly the best coffee I have ever had. I need to know what beans they used. Superb. I don’t live close to London sadly but I will always make a bee line here. Amazing

Visited multiple times during the week we stayed at the nearby StayCity Apartments. The cafe is nicely decorated, light and airy and very clean. Staff were polite and pleasant. Lovely atmosphere on Sunday afternoon - piano player and then great music. Coffee was excellent each time. Eggs Benedict and Norwegian were good. Cakes, which seemed to change daily, were delicious.

Really lovely cafe and menu. Warmly welcomed on arrival and not too busy although a Saturday morning. Almond croissant was large and delicious same for the pain au chocolate. Far too many incredible options to choose from! Also had a really tasty breakfast smoothie, pricey but a nice treat.

The restaurant is of a high standard. Breakfasts are so good and the staff are so friendly. We stayed in Travelodge over the weekend and went to Coffee and Beyond every morning for breakfast because of the fantastic breakfasts. The Smashed Avocado, English fry and Eggs Benedict were the ones we tried and were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited this evening, had a long day out so wanted to get a soft drink and relax (£3 for a canned drink). As we were paying, the lady behind the counter asked if we had a laptop, I was confused by the question, and I said yes as I did have one in my bag as I am travelling but I had absolutely zero intentions of bringing it out. It’s 6pm on a Saturday why would I be using my laptop? She then went on to say I was not allowed under any circumstances to take it out, and it wasn’t even allowed to be on the table. It felt threatening, I’ve never experienced anything like this as a customer. Again, I was not intending to get my laptop out, so this whole interaction was bizarre. I have no opinion about their laptop policy, it’s their business and they can choose how they want it, but to interrogate customers about whether they even have laptops in their bags is a bit crazy. Also, we were the only customers inside the café, yet our table was still dirty, and the whole time we felt like the staff didn’t want us there, and honestly, we didn’t want to stay there either but we were so tired and had already paid. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Coffee and beyond is an amazing cafe! The owner is so lovely and the coffee is top tier. I had a cappuccino and it was really good :) and let me tell you about their cakes… wow The Dulce de leche style cake was soft and sweet it’s a must get (defo get their cakes). Their brunches look great too. Overall coffee and beyond is amazing and I would suggest to anyone

We used to come here a lot, even though the food is quite ordinary. It felt nice to support local business. However, their customer service is AWFUL and they recently asked a distressed breastfeeding mother to leave because her baby was crying too loudly! They called her cruel and threatened to post videos of her on their social media. When I messaged them about this they blocked me. It's absolutely unacceptable behaviour. They need to acknowledge this and apologise to the woman for treating her like this.

Leuke plek voor een ontbijtje, lunch of gewoon een stuk taart. Genoeg keuze, van een stuk worteltaart tot toast met jam en pindakaas. Vriendelijke bediening, heel toegankelijk.

Great brunch-tried the Shakshuka with poached eggs -an healthier option for me-super tasty and I loved the mixture of parsley and mint! No laptops on weekends really made my day-so, people can mingle, laugh and talk giving you that good well-known atmosphere of the good busy morning coffee shop! I wouldn't want the atmosphere of an office where you're scared to loudly laugh minding not to disturb any of the " Laptopsiers" -noticed one of them got really irritated by the rule:))

Great breakfast and lunch destination in Greenwich near the DLR station. Recommend the Full English and the vegetarian alternative. We’re regulars and it’s always nicely busy. BTW We’ve had no issues with mobile connectivity - our phones are Three and O2.

One of the most ridiculous rules I have ever heard - laptops and tablets are not allowed to be used at weekends. Not only this but the staff were rude enough to stand over me and explain loudly about the rule in an apparent attempt to embarrass me. There is also no 3G/4g in the cafe so any attempt to access the outside world is pointless. All I wanted to google was “shouldn’t shakshuka be baked eggs not poached?” And I couldn’t even do that! People around this area have long memories- and the “management” should be a little more aware.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

I must say the coffee and foods here are great but just the wifi rule is so annoyingly strange. So there is a rule that you can’t use laptop on weekends which is understandable. The thing is you are allowed to read your book and sit there long just you can’t use your laptops. The staff just comes to you, checks what you are doing with your laptop and asks you to close it (worth to mention, the cafe was not full at all). Though you are not using their wifi you still can’t use the laptop. So basically they have assumed that people using laptop here must stay longer than people reading books and gathering. I was studying and having the laptop as a dictionary. So if you wanna find a good place with a good mood during your weekend with a lovely coffee to read and surf online, that’s ideally your worst choice.

Initially when we arrived all seemed good. The cafe itself looked historic and a bit eccentric, but that wasn't a bad thing, and the cost of the food seemed reasonable as well. The three of us took a seat, had a look at the menu and began to choose what we wanted to order. After about 5-10 mins we'd pretty much decided and then waited to be seen to by a member of staff. We noticed a waitress cleaning tables behind us and assumed that once she'd done that she'd come to us, as the other customers had already been seen to. No such luck. In fact I'm not even sure if she acknowledged us, walking straight past us and continuing to wipe other tables. We waited a little longer hoping she would come over and notice the open menus and lack of food and drink on our table, but the jaycloth was more important. Tired of being ignored, we walked out and left the 1930's time capsule hungry and frustrated.
