0 stars for customer service 0 stars for drink I ordered a pina colada....was literally just pineapple juice. I asked the cashier if I could change it as I did not like plain pinapple and could not taste anything else. Apparently I should of tasted the coconut as the smoothies are all pre made powder. Do not order smoothies, disgusting and not natural, lord knows what they're made of. 0 for customer service as most buisnesses even small independent ones would do an exchange as good will, plus it probably only cost them 10p to purchase.

A very unforendly grumpy heavily tattood girl summuned me to ‘ move over there if you want service’. And then ignored me completely. I left.

Nice atmosphere on entering the coffee shop. Coffee was average. The reason I gave it 2 stars was because of the cleanliness. Trays are sticky, the cup and saucer looks like it's never had a good clean in its life. Shame for such a promising start

I’m so annoyed. 30 minutes I won’t get back. £10 I won’t get back. After investing fifteen minutes queuing, Coffee #1, Leamington - informed no ceramic cups. Just Christmas paper cups (one month after Christmas). Then informed no Americano! - perhaps the simplest of coffees. I should have walked - but can you get a cappuccino wrong? Well yes, apparently. A paper Christmas cup three-quarters full of cold foam. Truly revolting. Insulting. If you go in to Coffee #1 and there is a queue - don’t join it. They are just people about to be disappointed.

Doesn't cope when busy service is slow. Saturday and Sunday avoid. During the week good. Pastry offerings are poor a cynic might say to increase the purchase of higher price offerings. Simpler items seem to have sold out and dont get replaced. Coffee is generally good sometimes seems to have a film on the surface. Suspect a washing machine problem. The ambiance is pleasant and tables are kept clear.

Better than last time we were in. Some improvement with regard to staff competence. A few comfy chairs is a positive although they could do with getting rid of the hard wooden ones.

A place I would not recommend I’m not sure if it’s Coffee#1 culture or just the staff, but OMG…. When I ordered the server had to ask me a couple times what I was ordering and still entered the wrong options into the till (had to correct her twice) I ordered a coffee and a toastie, the coffee I got almost straight away, but after almost 30 mins I had to go look for the toastie and they had forgotten to sort it Ended up speaking with a manager and then got a bit of attitude from the servers - but no one should have to wait 30 mins for a pre-made toastie that just needs re-heating

This place is awful. Nobody clears the tables. A kind lady helped out as there were no clean tables! Staff don’t know what they’re doing. No interest in good customer service.. Waiting time ridiculously long. No milk given with coffee. Dishwasher broken down so given paper cups.. might as well have gone to McDonald's..

Dreadful! An Americano with hot milk and an orange juice...not too difficult? Americano arrived with cold milk, not a problem. Given a bottle of orange juice...asked for a glass. Handed a plastic cup with his fingers inside it...hygiene? Never again.

Nothing has changed. The usual dirty tables as no one clearing cups and plates away even though there were three staff behind the bar. Long wait for coffee although only 3 customers in the queue. Lacklustre staff . Management get your act together!

We have been loyal customers - Earlier had a nice tea at Stratford on Avon . Very nice! Went to Leamington for the afternoon ! Very sorry to see how dirty this place has got! Filthy seats and floors Had to walk out and went to Costa. Please do the right thing. Clean up!!

Very very slow service - 18 minutes to get through the queue and get drinks ordered (1400 on a weekday afternoon), staff not very attentive and certainly didn't seem like they had any get up and go (or if it had then it had got up and left!!) Wanted to change our 1year old in the baby changing place, but it was filthy. Not only did it smell but full of litter including clinical waste which should have been properly disposed of - on asking this facility is cleaned "twice a week" according to one of the staff (tall with blue hair)! How twice a week for a disabled toilet and baby changing place is acceptable I'll never know. Coffee & cake was acceptable, but certainly let down by everything else. Not sure I'd bother returning.

Short staffed or lazy? I do appreciate that the staff are hardly on stellar wages but I fail to see why, yet again, at 15:30 on a Saturday, they can only offer takeaway cups rather than the real thing, especially as there are stacks of freshly washed ones in front of them. Oh well, I guess it’s time to be more adventurous coffee shop wise anyway and try independent ones.

Coffee is reliably nice but service is SO very slow. Even when it’s mega quiet and they have a full team on. I go back hoping it’s changed but it hasn’t. Also often not clean. Please also throw yesterdays pastries away and give us fresh ones! Amazing potential here because it’s one of the few spacious places and very pram friendly, but ok coffee isn’t enough.

Place was a tip! Don't they have anyone to clear tables ? Gents was filty. Only 50% busy. 4 staff looked like a training school for Starbucks.

Coffee is usually great quality, although the staff is not sanitary at all, touching the middle of plates where food goes when handling them, same with coffee cups - no one wants to share germs like this especially post covid. I hope next time I come this won’t be an issue anymore. Staff needs to be retrained in health and safety

Organised chaos staff laughing and joking with each other. Tables uncleared from customers. Washing up piling up . The worst run cafe in leamington . It was frustrating to watch .

I find the staff attitude pretty dismal. No interest in the customer. Last week two staff carried on chatting while I waited to be served.No greeting or smile. I frequent Coffee1 Leamington Spa several times a week with no acknowledgement of this!

Returned to work this week and it’s my first time back in coffee 1! Missed their cappuccinos, delicious.

The coffee was really nice but the tea was not, unfortunately there was to much milk in it, but the service was very good.

I came here with my family (wife and two daughters) for a little birthday lunch. All social distancing guidelines and protocols were being followed and the place appeared to be very clean.We ordered our food and drink. The drinks we had to collect, but the food was brought to our table. The food and drink are good and, the more I think about it, it is reasonably priced for a restaurant based in the town centre. Taste of the food was OK, but I do like the drinks.This place is always busy, so recommending it is irrelavent as you need to be there at the right time to get a place to sit. If there are spaces, we would go again.

I've been twice in the space of a month (both times at the weekend, first customer in the store). On both occasions, there were limited or no hot breakfast snacks. On one occasion, I was served a flat white with regular milk even though I asked for oat milk (I am lactose intolerant). The girl changed it immediately but perhaps they need a better handover between the person serving and the barista. After the first visit, I emailed the customer care team - they responded and said they would review the stock levels for the breakfast items. They offered me a voucher for two free drinks. After a couple of weeks, the voucher still hadn't arrived on my Coffee#1 app, so I emailed them - never got a reply. On the second visit, we arrived 10 minutes after the store was meant to be open (based on the opening hours on the window) - the store was closed - the girl came out and said they would open in another twenty minutes and that the window signage hadn't been updated. On the second visit, I took a photo of the near empty display of hot breakfast items and emailed customer care again - once again no reply. On a positive, the flat whites are really good - you can tell the Barista puts a lot of care and pride into how she makes them. On a negative, how can you have such poor stock levels on breakfast items on a weekend day, especially as we were the first customers? I'd understand it if we had arrived after the breakfast peak.

Called in for afternoon coffee and cake, great coffee and great cake. Nice friendly staff and shop had a good atmosphere and was all Covid safe and socially distanced.

Queued up to be served, asked to register for track and trace. No trays to carry six items, all free tables had dirty cups/plates on them. Asked server to clear table which she did only table wiped down not chairs. Another table cleared but again chairs not cleaned and masks not worn by staff.Definitely wouldn’t return

I recently visited Coffee#1, the 2 ladies serving were a brilliant team! It was very busy but their service was flawless, nobody had to wait long and everyone was happy! Special thanks to these 2 ladies, Lucy & Martina

I am vegan and I was given so many options to all selection that they have, a gentleman before me ordered the last vegan croissant to which they put another load in the oven for just for me (i didn’t order them all ;)). Very high customer service levels, thoroughly enjoyed.

Yesterday I came into coffee one in leamington I'm usually a bit nervous to go to coffee shops as Ihave a allergy but a very nice girl helped me out I dont know her name but she has brought green hair she was very friendly and understanding when awnsering all my questions I will definitely be going back agian

Went for a coffee at the Leamington Branch Only two people serving. I had to ask for the table to be sanatised, whic was only done in between serving customers. The table only was sanatised, I had to ask for the chairs to be done. It was obvious that that other tables were not being made safe , indeed some customers wee using the hand sanatiser at the entrance, to deal wth their own tables

Been to this location a few times recently, however, today is likely to have been my last time. Yes it was busy, due to "eat out to help out" I guess. Today, three members of staff serving. Signs asking you to wear a face shield whilst waiting in the queue. At one point there were 5 customers waiting, not one wearing a covering, and none of the staff mentioned anything to them. I had to ask a staff member to clean the service area after a customer spend several minutes talking to the coffee maker , no mask on and leaning on the counter, where coffee and food is served. The response from the staff was, he did it every day. He should be asked to step back and wear a mask, if he could. Tables appeared to be "clean it yourself".Come on Coffee #1, step up. Smaller and single owned coffee shops do better than you

It’s great to see so many people - although people aren’t really caring about the pandemic. The staff are constantly trying to clean and be polite to people. Very wholesome place to visit, full of smiles! Would definitely come here again with my family.

Amazing staff and service, came in last year and it was absolutely awful. Only came in for the 50% off deal but my my it has changed for the better!

I've visited with my family (wife and two daughters) on a few ocassions, and it's not a bad place. It's always busy and at peak times, you'll be lucky to get a seat, even though it is a large shop. Ordering, like most coffee shops, isn't great, and with so many choices can make it difficult to make a decision. Also, the food is at the start of the queue so by the time you order your drinks, you need to go back to the start and advise what food you want, which can be embarresing if you have to go through the queue.This experience was acceptable. Good food and drink and nice service.Probably would go again when it is not so busy!

We visited for a quick drink and a bite to eat. Hot drinks came luke warm, cakes we had were okay however nothing to shout about, I could smell wet dogs before even seeing them, as it was a rainy day. On top of that the female staff with the bright coloured hair (I believe it was pink) thought it was ok to ruffle the dogs all over and then move on to serve the next person without washing her hands which if you ask me is very unhygienic. Definitely won't be going back.

Very quite and pleasant place to have quick cup of coffee or longer stay and work on your laptop. Not to expensive and for sure much cleaner than starbucks.

I used to enjoy coming here when I ordered things like a sandwich and a bottle of water - simpler times. However, last week I went in and clearly went too far by ordering a sandwich and a DECAF macchiato. Anyway, they both tasted decent but that wasn't the issue. Cue half an hour later and the caffeine (yes, caffeine) hits me like a brick wall since I never drink it. I was a bit confused because I was quite specific about a ordering a decaf macchiato so I ask the same waitress and she confesses it was a normal macchiato, mutters "sorry" and walks off. Having worked in hospitality, It's really not hard to remember to press the decaf button. She could have at least offered a refund for her error leaving me feeling pretty rough. Safe to say I won't be coming back here for a while. Hopefully management take this on board and offer better training...

We go to this place quite often, we always have great cappuccinos, and coffee always tastes fresh, unlike other coffee shops in the area, who claim to serve good quality coffee, but disappointing ones. Great selection of cakes too, I love the carrot cake particularly! Cozy sitting area and friendly staff. Thank you!

Visited this with my dad and buzzy place which allows dogs so when we get ours I will be back! The coffee was rich but not at all bitter so very delicious and satisfying. The selection of cakes was amazing. My dad has the Xmas chocolate pudding cake which was rich and a must for chocoholics. I had a black currant crumble cake which was really scrummy. Lots still to try so will definitely be back.

Visited this café with some friends on Tuesday and enjoyed coffee and toasties however the service definitely didn't match the good food. They were obviously busy but didn't even say hello at the counter, didn't apologies for a delay, didn't ask where we were sitting so we had to keep checking on our food and when it arrived at the table the guy virtually launched it onto the table with no comment (I actually thought the plate was going to break). Probably wouldn't visit again... there are plenty of other coffee houses around.

I had not been to LS for quite a while and decided to try the local Coffee#1 having tried other branches. The Leamington branch did not disappoint and I enjoyed my coffee and blackcurrant crumble. It is bright and airy at the front and and darker to the rear which I did not mind at all. There was a fairly good ambience. Overall, a nice place for a break.

It’s not every coffee shop that serves Monsoon Malabar (even if it is a guest!) Coffee was really good, maple syrup flapjack was dense, syrupy and delicious. Staff friendly and good service. Pleasant atmosphere and plenty of room.

Another busy day at Leamington! Meeting my dear friend at this lovely coffee shop- always busy, all members of staff working hard, looked understaffed but still smile on our server ´s face even under pressure..she is always very welcoming..will be coming back :)

Went up to the till to order my food and the lady said hello and I proceeded to ask for my food in a polite manner for her to basically shout at me HELLO again because I didn’t say hello back. Was very rude and snappy towards me with no customer service or friendliness and ruined the whole experience, I think she needs to learn what manners are.

Good drinks and nice layout but spoiled by the noise of the staff throwing crockery about and the screams of children left to run wild.

The man behind the counter was very rude and didn't smile or say thank you after I placed my order. The cafe was empty so this wasn't due to the "stresses" of the job. I think Theresa May has more chance of passing her fourth Brexit deal than the cashier or baristas cracking a smile to a customer in Coffee #1.

Love meeting family or friends for a catch up here. Nice range of drinks and nice ambience. A large seating area so I have never had to struggle to find somewhere to sit but I may just have been lucky because it is a popular place! I have recently become the owner of a puppy and it is fantastic that there is a small area where I can sit and enjoy a latte with not having to leave my puppy at home. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Went into the new Coffee#1 in Daventry. In 1997 I had the best coffee ever when on a visit to Rome. Thought that cappuccino would never be surpassed. Found it this morning in Daventry! Excellent service, memorable coffee. Still don't think Daventry will ever match Rome as a holiday destination but as for the coffee.............

What a splendid suggestion to meet in this cafe on Wednesday morning! Really relaxed and warm on a very cold day. It was packed but we still managed to find seats and moved a couple of times to get better seats by the window.

Even though I visited on what seemed to be the busiest day I was pleasantly surprised.... Lovely and helpful staff, efficient service, clean toilets, and a really good coffee.... wide range of GF cakes and soups... Well done!

Coffee #1 is definitely our favourite coffee shop in Leamington Spa, we regularly travel from our home in Kenilworth for a cup of their excellent coffee .

We have been going to Coffee # 1 since it opened firstly in Warwick and then in Leamington Spa having previously met friends at Costa Coffee

It’s great to find an independent coffee shop with so much choice. Why would you want to go anywhere else? It was welcoming and the menu was extensive. The cakes are irresistible!

Good place as there's lots of space and a choice of seating.

I've had coffee and cakes a few times here and had good food/drink and good service. I went this week with my Dad, who was on his Mobility Scooter and it was easy for him to ride it in through the door, and because the area near the door is not overcrowded, he could leave the scooter and sit in a very comfortable chair. Will come back.

We first visited a couple of months ago, so today was a return visit, whilst out shopping.

I am regularly visiting Coffee*1. If u want very testy coffee,cake or some nice snack i would definitely recommend this lovely and spacious place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I tried many places but Coffee *1 never disappointed me. Worth to try !!!

Visited for the first time today and probably won't be returning. Service was slow (seemed understaffed) and most of what we got wasn't worth the wait. I got a hot apple and cinnamon drink which was dull and overpriced, while my partner got a coffee which didn't go down much better.

This is a large coffee shop run by friendly and efficient staff. The food and drink is excellent and at atmosphere pleasing. An added bonus is that dogs are welcome in this coffee shop. Perfection as always.

Visited coffee1 for morning coffee. Extremely loud blues music playing. Completely unsuitable for a relaxing drink. Asked assistant to turn it down a little but she didn’t. Barn like atmosphere with miserable staff. Plenty of better and more customer friendly cafes in Leamington. Also £2.25 for americano is expensive by Leamington standards and no better than any of the others that I have visited. Ed

Visited twice recently. THeir coffee is truly excellent, flavour and texture, and it is always HOT! The staff are incredibly helpful to everyone, old and young, parents with children....I have to follow a dairy free diet..not only is there a choice of non dairy milk, but also non dairy chocolate sprinkle for a capuchino....loads of space and a great place to meet up,with friends.

This shop is in place where previously there used to be a shop called "Cargo", so it is a big area. This means that they have space to sit and relax, and it is utilised very well. However, the seats are the old rustic style seats but comfy if you've had a long day shopping in Leamington. I have visited this café a few times and it seems to be losing it's charm. Initially the coffee was really enjoyable, but I'm not so sure on the last few occasions and the seats are becoming wobbly! Staff are less friendly than when the shop opened (not unfriendly just less charming). Prices are competitive to the surrounding area and Leamington is becoming a haven of coffee shops. This one should survive and thrive as the ambience works. I'm likely to go again as it is not cramped.

Please don't wipe your nose then make my coffee then clean the steam wand without cleaning your hands. Coffee in the bin. Not good.

My daughter, 14 month old granddaughter and I popped in for a drink. Plenty of space to wheel the pram inn and no ramp or steps to negotiate. The tables are a reasonable distance apart, so you aren't listening in to someone else 's conversation like it or not.

I used to go in regularly on Saturday to meet my dad for coffee. We must have been mad. But glad to say we no longer go there. The man serving behind the counter is so rude and ignorant. He is always the same. What a lovely person representing the company - not. The coffee is nothing to write home about either. The only positive is that the cafe is quite spacious but that is not enough. They need new staff and better quality coffee.

Great location in Leamington Spa just outside The Royal Priors

I am a huge fan of coffee one - but not this one. There’s always a long wait to get served and never enough staff on so they have to try to do everything at once. Some staff are lovely but it’s ruined by the morose red faced guy with the tattoos who never speaks if he can help it, avoids all eye contact and makes lousy coffee. Come on. Get sorted out with enough staff who actually want to serve people and be pleasant! Leamington has loads of coffee shops and your cakes are lovely.

Love the coffee here, and the cakes are great especially the Caramel Shortbread, which is served really cold - to die for. Great decor and atmosphere

This place has so much potential to be the go-to coffee shop in Leamington. Great location, extensive menu and nice decor inside. Unfortunately it's let down by the lacklustre service. There is very little urgency to actually serve customers. You'll often be waiting for a good few minutes at the counter without being acknowledged, and the tables are always a mess. It's just got to be better!!

Really nice to see several gluten free cake options, better than most coffee shops offer. A good cup of coffee & nice cakes. Lovely.

There is a reason every other coffee shop in Leamington is rammed and this one is usually empty. The service was slow and unfriendly. The cakes are very poor but expensive. There are not dietary notices on the cakes either so you have to guess.

Looked really nice inside with plenty of seating. Unfortunately staff seemed really stretched despite the place being quite empty and although it was only mid afternoon they had already run out of orange, bananas and other ingredients which ruled out most of the smoothies and frappes and also had run out of straws. That said, the coffee was nice and at least it was still in stock!

I meet up with friends here quite often and we are always pleased with everything, this Friday I realised I had no change for the car park and it was pouring with rain,the girl on the counter couldn’t have been more helpful no making a fuss over letting me have change when I hadn’t bought anything.

I am a coffee#1 number one fan. I have been in around 30 coffee#1 stores and never had such a bad service like this one in Leamington Spa. It's a beautiful place but terrible staff. I went on Saturdays 21st April with my family on a day out to Leamington Spa and we decided to re-visit this store, as I have been in previously in mid week and loved it, great service from two young man and tryed for first time this amazing new coffee that was offered to me and was great.

Coffee was nice, but a bit cold (latte). My daughters gingerbread latte wasn’t very ginger. The staff were ok, but not overly friendly.

A great selection of coffees, but a bit strong. Also a small cappuccino is relatively large generous portion. Very spacious, with a small library of books to read. Facilities required a bit of cleaning and very limited. Friendly and welcoming baristas.

One of the better quality coffee emporiums in the over coffee shopped town! The staff are a little short tempered, but the quality of the coffee is surprisingly good. Massive premises and frequently long wait times at busy periods. Overall though, not too bad.

A friend and I visited Coffee #1 for a quick hot drink. Having walked pass a number of times and never having the chance to pop in... never again. The cafe is large, airy and spacious - the drinks were ok and the staff polite. However the facilities left a lot to be desired. Firstly the ladies loos were out of order so I was instructed to use the disabled/baby change toilet instead. This was impossible (not wanting to be too graphic) I walked back in a straight back out, I’d never seen anything like it. I mentioned to the staff that it wasn’t fit for purpose and he sent in a very young member of staff to clean in... my faith was lost when he spent all of 30 seconds in there and appeared to have no other cleaning apparatus than some blue roll?!?! Then it got me thinking that the general overall hygiene should be checked. It’s a shame, there were so many young mothers with their babies, I know I wouldn’t want to be taking my little ones in a baby change like that.

Good cakes selection (especially the option for a tapas of mini cakes) and fair coffee. A nice and airy space.
