The Benjamin Satchwell in Warwick

Me and my sister in law Angela were out for cheeky meal on the parade last week, however she fell quite ill after eating the Korean crunchy chicken strip burger, so a lovely staff member got her some water, another lady was lovely about the situation and was being quite helpful and compassionate to big Angela. All in all my battered cod and chips were amazing, hats off to the chef. Well worth £9. 5 stars 🌟😊.

You know what you are going to get. Steak day, ordered 2 mixed grills. 1 was fine, the other looked like it had been standing on the hotplate for a while and some elements of the meal was barely warm. Staff were not that interested in fixing the situation. At least the drinks were prompt.

Called in while waiting for our coach. Had small meal which was served well and wd hot.

To many students running the bar.. students don't know how to pull beer or if it's ok.. Nothing against students..But most don't drink ales.

Usual Spoons offer but more expensive than comparable towns. Using sparklers on real ales resulting in heads the size of docker's sandwiches, beer taken away even though covered. App shuts down at 12.30 am. even though open Until 1am. Staff friendly enough but could do with a grown up in charge. Security polite.

Coffee - serve yourself. Drinks - one of our group collected from bar. Food good value for money.

Still one of my favourite Wetherspoons. Set in the lovely town of Leamington Spa. Pay it a visit, soon... very conscientious staff, always customer focused, great beer and safe environment.

We come here on a Saturday and Sunday evening in early April 2025 the Saturday was busy with lots of tables strewn with glasses that did not seem to be getting collected - we had steak on the Sunday night which we could not fault - a good sized pub with plenty of seating and well priced food and drinks

Had lunch in the Benjamin satchwell pub in Leamington Spa, the food was really nice, the menu choice was huge, too much to choose from. The food came really quickly and was very tasty. The price was amazing for what we got, 4 lunches and alcoholic drinks for under £30, brilliant Value for money. The place was clean and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend

Average Spoons , very busy Friday night , tables sticky , food was ok , prices not bad . Used again Saturday for breakfast , one coffee machine out of order , service quick . These chain pubs secret s purpose but used to be much better and cleaner

What a poor experience. I use ‘Spoons a lot, mainly because of the range of ales they have. Most are well kept and different from the run of the mill offerings in other places. This was no exception. A pint of Sambrooks Powerhouse Porter and another of Rampart Dark Ale very tasty. The problem was with the staff, food and cleanliness. My first attempt at buying a drink consisted of being ignored. Y 3 staff members who walked up and down the bar aimlessly. I eventually asked one of them ’can I buy a drink?’ At which point I was served, so obviously not doing anything else. When I went back to order food, exactly the same thing. Food was not pleasant, watery scampi and, if there could be such a thing, chewy chips! I had to return to the bar to get clean cutlery as the ones given to us were filthy with food remnants on them. As we walked out I would estimate that at least 80% of the tables that weren’t being used were full of dirty plates and glasses. The clearing up rota had not been filled. Will still visit for beers but I don’t think I will eat there again.

Huge Wetherspoons on the Parade. Perfect if you want a reasonably prized drink and something to eat. Pub extends right to the back and there is plenty of seating. We ordered food and drink on the app. Service was quick.

The place was dark and hot. Food came, and friends' sausage and egg bap came falling apart and thrown together, and my breakfast wrap wasn't even wrapped or cut in half. Had to wrap it myself. Didn't say anything to the waiter as it's not their fault, but was disappointed and won't be returning.

Quick service along with pleasant staff all round. Had breakfast in here upon a visit to the area.

The food was cold when it arrived, and after waiting for about another 5 minutes for them to warm it up, it was still only a little warmer. The garlic bread was just a tortilla with garlic butter poured over it

Is what you would expect it to be, a classic Weatherspoons; no frills, cheap as 'chips', busy, noisy, sticky, old folk, student folk, just as you would expect it to be. Staff were friendly and nice, didn't eat there, just popped in for a drink.

Generous , cheap food. Cosy and great for a winter treat. Go when you're hungry. Careful to grab a coffee (unlimited refills), before it runs out.

Very poor service - waited over 30 mins for food. Asked an assistant if there was a problem with my order as customers who came after me had received & eaten their food. He went to the till to check records and said nothing had been ordered from my table number.funny that it was showing on my bank account as a pending transaction!!!! He went away to the kitchen & came back with a shrivelled plate of food which had been standing overlooked on the pass in the kitchen. No appology. Very disappointing visit to this pub.

Good food, no allergen menu and fast and easy with a toddler

Dirty, noisy, bad smell (damp and old). Staff is nice and service is fast... Food tastes good and it's cheap. But it's hard to go over the lack of cleanliness. Feeling this is the place you can get hepatitis. Plus, I can't stand the gambling machines and the crew they attract.

I never complain before at a Wetherspoon. Today I ordered a curry and the onion bhajis/vegetable samosa as extra. Not only was the the bhajis nearly burnt but there was 1 instead of 2 .. I mentioned it but sadly the employee never returned too me .. This could had been easily sorted because in most Wetherspoons I been in they check on you and ask if everything OK.. But sadly they didn't..

Great place to get food or a drink at an amazing price. It is a British institution that everyone must give a try! A big fan :)

Great place for cheap beers in comfortable surroundings. Haven't tried the food.

Busy for the January beer sales

Very poor management. Our breakfast was stone cold when complained and said we haven't got time for a new one to be cooked the management said we are unable to give a refund because you have started to eat it.... how on earth do you expect us to try im without eating it? He offered 2 free deserts.... what for breakfast..... oh ill have Apple crumble and custard please 😂 is this pub for real? For what it actually cost to make the 2 breakfast a refund of 2 breakfasts would not even show a dent in Mr weatherspoons wallet!!!! I am totally gobsmacked with the respnse! Will never go there again!

As per other reviews, wouldn't recommend. You order food, it doesn't all arrive, you ask several staff for the remaining food and get ignored. When you complain to the manager, he refuses to give his name, and then gets all upset when I took his photo and bars me!! Only positive , if you like being treated badly, don't spend a lot going to Karen's diner, go to Benjamin Satchwells you get the same treatment for cheaper.

As many others have said, this establishment is a joke. If you don't mind not receiving food you have paid for, being ignored when you ask for the food to be brought to you by several members of staff, and then when asking management what their name is, being told you are not allowed to know my name.....this is the establishment for you to go to I guess the plus, it's cheaper than Karen's diner (the place where you pay for rude staff as part of the service) but with exactly the same outcome

Cheap drinks and deals on food. No music though.

My food was cold and after waiting for about five minutes it returned only slightly warmer, still not hot, not happy. Also, the garlic bread was a flour tortilla with an oil sprinkled on it. The venue is quite nice and the barman was friendly, but the food was sorely lacking.

Omg if I could give No stars it would be this place is unfit for purpose! Staff ignorant and ignores you! Tables are filthy and greasy ! And the burgers we ordered the chicken was uncooked and dry ! I used the mens toilets here piss all on the floor by urinals! This place needs shutting down!

Much better than Stratford upon Avon spoons. Don't think anyone who works there is over 25. Very bad service in Stratford spoons. Leamington much better Leamington spoons really gone down hill Staff don't seem to be able to say please and thank you. Very few of them. Much too young to be working in a pub. Been going on for a while. Disappointing

Food terrible, specifically stated on ordering I did not want lemon and herb chicken. Guess what I got 🍋 and 🌿 chicken. Two pints Guinness lovely, 3rd pint from a different pump, awful. Guinness taken back and changed. The chicken meal, ugh, see picture! Won't be back in a hurry!

I had a quick drink 🍺 in this pub and moved on to the second one of the day in Warwick

It's a very good place for groups, and having drinks at great prices. It can get very busy on a Friday or Saturday night, and it's mostly popular with young university students.

We popped in for a quick bite to eat and drinks, it was exactly what you'd expect from a Wetherspoons on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy with only a table or 2 available, and a vibrant atmosphere with people talking. We both ate burgers and had a large soft drink, which cost less than £18. I recommend visiting this pub if you're in the area.

Usually love a wetherspoons breakfast, but the service here was absolutely terrible, which ruined our meal. Firstly, the drinks ordered with our breakfast never came out, they were just forgotten about. In the end after about 30 minutes the drinks were found just sitting on the bar. Secondly, the toast for our two breakfasts was not included with any butter. I informed a passing waiter about this, who did absolutely nothing and just forgot about it, so I then had to queue and speak with someone behind the bar just to try and get some butter for the toast. Rubbish experience

Wow, this place is very hard to find, the high street entrance is so tiny and unlike usual Wetherspoons. Inside though is very big compared to the door. Well worth a visit.

Table not cleaned but our food served on dirty table ,chips didn't stay hot for long management to blame if staff not looking after customers poor experience.

Mainly reviewing Guiness as is served like your drinking chemicals so think it's because pipes have been cleaned. Been there various times so try a pint first and if bad ask for other tap if bad.

I went in to start a night out it's always going to be a busy place, drinks are always well priced but I found one of the staff to be a little rude to a customer he didn't help himself but she escalated the situation extremely quickly all in all it's a solid starting point and I would and have been going there for years to start a night out

Probably the worst spoons I’ve been in staff are surly.got told we were rude for asking for some butter and a napkin I asked to speak to the manager she said she was the manager.coffee machines weren’t working at nine in the morning.will never set foot in the place again.

I was just passing through and I decided to have a cheap lunch with a few cheap drinks. I had a bbq burger 🍔 with a side of onion rings, they were so delicious!

Really not that great from past experience. Crowd seems to be either really old people or just rammed full of annoying students. Food is average but cheap (you get what you pay for). Pints were cheap too, honestly can't remember the last time I paid £2.50 ish for a pint other than 2003.

while in Leamington spa we went to this pub .good quick service .meals good and larger fine. no doombar, and tables a little dirty. but it is a spoons so you know what you are going to get.

Rather disappointed brought some friends as I am a member of Camera ordered a Abbott real ale and a cider they would not accept my Camera vouchers as they said the beer had already been discounted and we ordered the wrong cider

... but we are back to undercooked pizza again, even after a lengthy wait. It's a pity because recently their pizzas were excellent.

Not where I would usually choose to eat, but we were in a rush and this was the most convenient place. I have never been anywhere so sticky and filthy in my life! We had to take the cleaning spray and cloth and clean the table ourselves as noone working there seemed to be bothered. Food came quickly which was great and my steak was rare just like I asked. But there were no peas, mushrooms, onion rings, pepper corn sauce or tomato like advertised. We asked where these were and the guy said he would find out....he never came back! Staff were dropping and smashing plates and glasses all over the place which they seemed to think was hilarious, even though children were running riot through the debris. I am far from a snob, and I know people use Wetherspoons for their cheap drinks so they can get smashed before going clubbing, but after leaving here I felt like I needed a shower and a lie down in a quiet room. I won't make the mistake of going in there again

A very busy Saturday evening (weekend of the Food Festival) so it was hard to get a table for 8 of us as one might expect. However, we managed despite the crowd. Drinks good , as always, and priced really well. Food - hmm not great - I've always had great "Spoonies" food before but the burger I had was tiny and there was just a handfull of dry-ish chips. No garnish, salad etc. Real disappointment but other's mixed grill and steak looked nice. They are what they are and I won't put anyone off - maybe eat first then visit?

The pub and staff are great, but sometimes I get the feeling that people are catching the bus over from Coventry to spend the day in Leamington and don't get past this pub.

Started off our day in Leamington Spa with breakfast at The Benjamin Satchwell, before our three hour drive home. It's an undoubtedly lovely town and well worth a visit. Obviously, there's one of the ubiquitous Wetherspoons chain there, right in the heart of the place. It stands out like the sorest of sore thumbs as it tries desperately to blend in to it's surroundings while flogging cheap grub and pitchers of cocktails for pence. We staggered through the haze of smoke in the doorway emanating from the nicotine crazed folk loitering nearby clutching their drinks. We ordered a couple of traditional breakfasts and waited to gauge which item on the plate would be cold and how solid and dangerous the egg yolk would be. It was the bacon and the yolk was bouncy and pliable. Despite that, it was tasty enough and we were reasonably satisfied with our start to the day.

There was 10 of us having a drink and meal on Thursday. We ordered a cheese burger and chips. It came up burnt! We sent it back and they returned it with a replacement that was also burnt! I retuned it to the manager who was not in the slightest surprised or apologetic and asked if I would like it replaced. I told him it was disgraceful and said we would like it replaced with a ‘fresh’ burger and a refund. He said he could not do both. It was an absolute disgrace and he did not even apologize

New street station weather spoons is my favourite weatherspoon to go to as it's new, brighter, cleaner and a great atmosphere.

Just popped in as half hour early for our Restaurant meal pint of lager carling and half lager very busy and four guys shouting at each other moved table then left 😑

Popped in for breakfast during our stay in Leaminton Spa yesterday. Food was ok but lukewarm. The table was still sticky from previous diners. We didn't go back for breakfast today.

The mixed grill was awful. Everything burnt except the sausage. It’s cheap but not even worth the money.

A standard Wetherspoons. Despite it being in posh Leamington, it's still full of people who don't wash their hands.

Marina is has incredible customer service skills. She knows how to engage with a customer while maintaining a professional working environment and providing the best service possible. She is amazing

The Wetherspoon in Leamington is a beautiful sight that also poses a fine pun to purchase ales and even soft drinks. The atmosphere was great as there was a real homey feel to the whole establishment. Also service was great due to how fast the table service was, and QR code menus are also helpful My only eh is the food, which for the prices really isn’t that good honestly, but it’s okay cause it’s primarily for the drinks, which also were great. All in all though, it was a great experience nonetheless and a pretty decent price. I’d recommend

Amazing place to hang out with your friends. Only issue which is actually good for the owners is it is too crowded always... Rest everything is fine.

A good, atmospheric Spoons. Has all of the usual facilities. A great place for a budget scoff.

Always a safe bet for a snack and reasonably priced drinks.

Scampi was excellent as was the J20, staff were pleasant and the place was clean and tidy
