ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!If it were possible to give a negative star review then I would.Having decided to try a different fish shop (because our normal shop was closed) we order our usual Friday order which normally costs us around £25. Uber delivery included.The total cost of this VASTLY OVERPRICED shop was £47.74. Uber's delivery charge was only £1.79 after our discount (confirmed by the company receipt).The shop had the front to send a menu with our order which confirmed that the actual cost should have been £27.00.Believing that there may have been a mistake I called the shop asking for clarification regarding the price difference. Well......The person answering the phone was the most arrogant, disconcerted, and uninterested person it has been my unfortunate privilege to speak to. They had absolutely NO interest in listening to any question I had. Their only answer was "It's UBER's issue"' Which it wasn't. But to ensure this I called UBER. The OVERCHARGING is definitely only down to COD FATHER. SoHaving confirmed the extortionate price in writing, I called this shop back. Luckily the same person answered.He was dismissive, completely arrogant, and disinterested. It was not reasonable nor good business to tell customers "It's your fault, you used UBER, you should have collected". Fortunately, I recorded this conversation.Working as a presenter on a London Radio Station I will certainly NOT be endorsing this place.The staff's attitude is the worse I have encountered in a long time.DO NOT waste your money ordering from here. There is much better close by.

Used to frequent this restaurant back in 2005-2007. Service at the time was good. However the service I got today was appalling. Won’t bother coming back here.

Ordered a deliveroo and tiny portion of chips came, not expected at paying 3.30 each. Have never had that small a portion from any chip shop in London.

Very poor service. Too much batter in fish. Hardly any fish The experience overall was moist unsatisfactory. Will never go there again.

Filthy! This establishment is unclean, and unsafe. I would not recommend eating here as you can see from the photos the owners, managers and staff do not keep a clean restaurant.

Ordered over the phone to collect. Good was ready when they said (and hadn’t been sitting around). Fresh, lots of flavour & generous portions.

Very disappointed with the food and the service. The gravy was so thick and lack taste. Couldn't eat the chips as they were undercooked. The salad just had lettuces and few slices of tomatoes. Seemed like they forgot about the order and just rushed it in the last minute.

I waited for my delivery over an hour and when the food arrived it was cold and soggy. I called the restaurant to inform them about this and I got told that this was not their responsibility and I shouldn’t have ordered from just eat. Really appalling customer service. I will not be ordering from this restaurant ever again.

perfectly cooked fish that doesn't dry out. only thing I didn't like as much was the curry sauce. a bit bland but everything else perfect

Me gustó mucho cada vez y nos dieron 5 / 5 estrellas.En mi última visita me entristece decir que realmente ha ido cuesta abajo bajo nueva dirección. Aunque visualmente limpia, era bastante mal dentro. La comida también era mediocre. Por desgracia, no vamos a allí de nuevo y ya no se lo recomiendo.

This is a fish and chip shop, 5 stars is based in what I would expect - it's not Cordon Bleu, I'd guess fish is frozen and thawed in water - it is a bit soft and wet, but not as bad as a few other reviews state. In summary, fish a little oily, chips great, all portions generous, packaging excellent - we ordered calamari, cod and plaice. Probably cod was best, calamari second, plaice third. Happy with this order.

The cod was grey and was so textureless it didn't require chewing. I called Cod-Father to tell them it wasn't good but was called "darling" when I enquired how fresh the fish was. I responded that perhaps I'd have better luck next time and the person hung up on me.

I ordered two battered cod, chips and mashy peas payed 24£ including 2.50£ for delivery and 50£ for card charge. The food was delivered quick, but for our disappointment the fish was under cooked, the batter was stodgy. The mashy peas tasted sour! Chips was ok. I called the restaurant, who were derogative and patronising, calling me darling. The person on the phone said he will send a driver to pick up the food and told me to deal with justeat! 4 hours later restaurant closes and not anybody processed refund or collected the food. If the restaurant read this, i will not except arrogant answers like other people did below! Try and be professional that's the secret! Maybe people wouldn't be leaving bad comments!

Chips were very tasty although the 'large' portion size was dubious. Food wasn't very hot when delivered. We also ordered a small and a large battered cod but were sent a small battered and a grilled cod - my father didn't realise until after he'd eaten it but checking now the grilled is cheaper than the large, so we were ripped off!

Order was delivered at 18.15 instead of 19.30, so at dinner time food was cold. Restaurant refused to register at the correct time. Arrogant poor service

The fish was nice..I ordered before and took away from the place also. The peas were mashy peas(I thought they are whole). I did not eat them, but besides that..all good. Delivery time was also fast!

Very good service, they forgot an item and sent the driver straight back as soon as they realised. To be honest, the fish wasn't the best. The batter was more like fried chicken batter than traditional fish and chips. Pricey too but probably on par for London.

I really enjoyed it! We usually go to the shop every Friday to get our dinner from them but this is the first time we ordered delivery. The chips portion was a bit light though!!!

If I hadn't ordered the sea food platter I might have rated this place a 4 star. It was clearly cooked the previous day and made with fish which was off or border line off.The chips were OK (undercooked), and the battered haddock was good.the excellent service rating is because it arrived before the scheduled time (order via deliveroo)

Honestly the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The chips were basically oven chips and the fish was so dry we ended up throwing it away

The fish itself was fantastic. A shame that the chips were soggy. The carrot cake wasn't fresh either. And the halloumi salad was major let down as warm cheese should not be put in the same box as salad

Excellent food but such a shame about delivery. I asked for it to be at a certain time and it arrived 45 mins early. My guests weren't even here. I sent it back. Then when it arrived later there were no chips!?!!

Was the only fish and chips take away for my area so gave it a go. Fish was very nice, but was small (I asked for "generous"). Overall meal was nice, but felt expensive for what I got.

The most horrendous experience. I called to before I ordered to make sure they cook the fish fresh and they claimed they did. Not only was half of the batter burnt on the cod but it smelled and tasted as if it was fired in last years oil! Never again!

Haddock had 4-5 large bones in it which is quite unusual for battered fish. Apart from that food was decent.

No chips with the burgers as menu very misleading. Rang takeaway to explain their menu is misleading and they didn't resolve the issue of lack of chips. Hungry guests. AND ITS MY BIRTHDAY! How rude!

This is a pretty miserable fish and chip shop. We expected a better vibe, better food and better service - all just a bit low budget and greasy - and not in a good way.
