First visit here Saturday afternoon. Very busy place, can see why. After looking at the extensive menu, the manager recommended a few dishes. I opted for the sticky honey and chilli wings for starters, followed by the mango chicken breast with rice. I also ordered curried goat to take away. Omg, the flavours popped in your mouth. Service was fast, didn’t have to wait longer than 8 minutes for food to arrive. Pretty good seeing as they were very busy. More seating upstairs. Highly recommend this gem of a place. Prices are reasonable too.

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful food, so tasty and well made, generous portions. I don’t know what they do to the red skin fries but they are something else. Really good value and good music.

Fantastic staff, amazing food that is truly soul filling and warms your taste buds and fills the stomach. I visit here at least every 2 to 3 weeks. One of the best food places in preston. The jamacian bbq chicken is gorgeous.

It's my favourite food in Preston, of which I've eaten a lot. I recommend especially their burritos (meal deal!), and the mango chicken is phenomenal. I've tried a few specials and I don't think there's a weak item on the menu. Very well priced too, nice relaxed atmosphere. Go here, you will not regret it!

Never ever been so ill in my life! Chicken was green also 🤮 I’m devastated as I usually enjoy coming here but the hygiene is definitely something they need to look at fixing and making sure the food is cooked correctly

Went here today for my birthday in a group of four. I had the goat curry and some extra hot wings. Food was really lovely and not overpriced. The chicken wings are close to the best I have had. We all loved the food.

Came here for a quick lunch. Ordered mango chicken salad and jerk chicken then tried chips, rice and roti shared between us. Food was absolutely faultless - generous portions and unbelievable flavours. Would absolutely recommend. All staff very helpful and friendly. The slightly older gentleman (didn’t catch his name but he did say he was from Malta!) who cleared our plates was a particular credit to the restaurant Excellent all around - will definitely go again

Went to Preston to try this place out after seeing the review from 'Rate My Takeaway'. The food looked amazing, so we thought we would give it a go. Arrived around 4.30pm, managed to find a window table and we ordered the tropical mango chilli chicken served with rice (£10) and the chimichangas which are deep fried tortillas with chicken, chilli and cheese (£6) with two bottles of water. Food arrived within minutes, hot and ample portions! The chimichangas are a starter, but I would share as you get two large tortillas. The salad is also a good portion which was enough for the two of us. Both tasted amazing and I would definitely recommend these dishes. The menu has so much choice and has some great Caribbean, Mexican spicy and fruity dishes available. Throughout our meal, there was a steady stream of people getting takeaways and eating in. Everything that came out looked really good. Customers were also asking for extra chillies, extra hot, etc so they are obviously happy to accommodate tastes. Service was good, food was great. We are definitely going back! There are so many dishes we want to try!

I always get the fish of the day where, simply grilled and served with a salad, fries and their special side dip. This time I got the corn on the cob with miso butter and it was so addictive!

Coco's is one of the very few places that I really can't say anything negative about. Friendly, efficient, helpful staff, speedy service and a varied menu. On this particular visit we opted for the Chimichangas, Honey Chilli Boneless wings, Mango Chilli Chicken with rice and Sweet Potato Fries. Although it was quite busy we didn't have to wait long. The food was fantastic as usual. I honestly couldn't fault a single thing. Hot, flavoursome, plentiful and absolutely delicious. All the dishes were perfect and unbeatable value for money. Coco's is one of a kind and with such an extensive menu, there's something for everyone. Thank you Coco's for a very enjoyable dining experience.

Came here on Saturday with friends, what a find! A superb varied menu to suit all tastes and offers something refreshingly different from the norm. It’s a comfortable place with a good ambiance and great service too. The stand out was the quality and flavour of the food, 5 different dishes across our group, all well presented and all enjoyed, my own goat curry was superb. It’s also very reasonably priced. Will definitely return and it’s well recommended.

This is my second visit here and my daughter loves the fantastic food here. We had a jerk chicken wrap and a plate of got chicken wings between three of us and thr most tasty home cooked chips with special sauce. We had a drink...

Lots of choice on menu. Went with piri piri chicken skewers, very tasty. Sat upstairs with family which was quieter than downstairs. Nice and tidy, authentic simple food. Will be returning as was a few things on menu I couldn’t decide between! Uncle had a burger which he said was best he’d had and my sister had blackened chicken which she said was also very good. We had a couple of starters to share, would highly recommend the nachos!

We use this place when were in preston as its quick an easy with a A wide range off a menu to specials! I tend to go for the gait curry as its flavorsome an tender an there mix grill also good but could do with a few more prices off meat for the price u pay!

This place use to be good but it’s gone downhill rapidly. They use to offer good customer service but since they’ve made a bit of money they’ve sacrificed their quality and service but also put their prices up. Food quality has changed and I always feel ill afterwards. The establishment smells of rot, damp, and bad odour upstairs. I wouldn’t be returning.

Visited this food place during my lunch break. I ordered the chilli con carne from the menu.I am very disappointed with the taste of this dish and needs improving alot. The meal was very bland and I could only taste the meatyness of the mince. You need to add more herbs and flavour to improve the taste. Also, I think you should not charge customer an extra £1 for cheese, £5.50 should be sufficient to add the cost of the cheese and if I customer requires it. Food service was was good, took approx 10-14 mins to have my food

Delicious, we got the chimichangas and COCO’s honey chilli stick wings for sides and they were amazing ! Everything was super Tasty and authentic. Nice environment, the staff could be a little friendlier but the food is definitely to die for! Would recommend 100%

Great place with a Caribbean feel. I always go for the Jamaican jerk chicken which is as good as always but do have to say it comes 2nd to Jaffa’s Jerk Chicken

Not as good as it used to be. Chips are rubbish now, not sure why they changed them. No real flavour to the burrito either. Not BAD food but just not that good. Won’t be in any rush to go back if I’m honest

We ordered for the first time from Coco's and the food was delicious. Collected and ready on time. I found the portions to be a little small for the price but the flavours were lovely. Will consider ordering again.

Yes it's not gourmet, but you aren't paying gourmet either. For the student crowd, those on a budget, can't expect much more, a solid choice and solid passion for service.

Been craving Coco's food. They were closed because of the covid. Was thrilled to hear they finally opened for take away only. Got the famous Carribean chicken and rice and the JERK burger and chips. Delicious and top notch service.

I enjoyed a very tasty takeaway Vietnamese chicken burger with red skin fries recently after it reopened. There is so much to choose from on the menu, I will definitely be back very soon.

My friend and I went for a Valentine's lunch here. We'd never been before and wantes to go somewhere a bit different. We ordered the wings, chicken curry and mix meat dish with a side of chips. OMG it was outstanding, washed down with two cans of fizzy pop for less than £30 we simply could not grumble. Be aware though, we were caught out as they don't take cards, it's all cash however, there is an ATM literally next door. So not a massive issue. Busy little place so be prepared to wait or share a table. Food was fast, hot and plentyful. Good portions.

Called in for tea prior to a visit to the Playhouse. Had the bbq jerk chicken and the mango chicken from the specials board. Both were excellent and perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed it and will be planning a return visit shortly.

We had dinner here on Friday after a recommendation from a friend. The food was excellent, the portions were plentiful and the staff were very helpful. Great value for money.

I heard some good things about this place, after another visit at jaffas thought it's about time. Ordered their mixgril for 10£ and the taste was maybe not as quiet as expected after my past caraibean food experience. Rice was fine and the portion was good.

We have been going here every month for the past year at least. The food is amazing, I usually have the vegetarian chickpea curry which is delicious. The plantain chips are also yummy. The kids always love going and eat all their food up, they cook it with no spices for them. Can't recommend it enough!

The suicide chicken wings are perfect. Really spicy. The goat curry with roti bread is my favourite meal to have here.

Lovely staff, amazing food, amazing price. The only thing I have a fault with is because I’m tall some of the tables are a little snug but that’s it. The place is so cosy and I really need to go in more because the price is amazing especially student wise.

Me and the BF visited Cocos last night. This was my second visit my first having been for a lunch. We both chose from the specials board the same dish. Unfortunately there was only one portion left and the chef recommended moms butter chicken. Wow I was not disappointed at all. This dish was beyond delicious, it came with a side salad, rice and roti. Both dishes were excellent in both taste and portion size. Twice I have eaten here and twice I have not been disappointed. Both visits this little gem was very busy and I can see why. The menu is reasonably priced, there is a little wait while your food is cooked however I have waited longer for disappointing dishes which have been more pricey at establishments which claim to be the best. I highly recommend this restaurant/take away to all

This was an impulse visit whilst commencing some Christmas shopping with my partner.We had seen some of the previous rave reviews and we were not disappointed.We both had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken with half and half chips and rice... absolutely fabulous taste with a delicious sauce to die for!! I want the recipe!It was our first visit, we will definitely visit again. We took a takeaway menu too, in case we want one on the go!! We had heard on the grapevine that delivery’s were maybe a possibility for the future??

I honestly didn’t think I could find a decent carribean chicken outside of London but this place is spot on.If the restaurant reads this could they tell the chef the special Caribbean chicken was the best I’ve ever had! The special rice was absolutely fantastic & my whole family loved it. Please just do me one favour don’t open another or do a franchise just stay the same!!

In Preston on business. Where to eat? Looked on TripAdvisor - this place highly recommended. Not too far to walk from the hotel. So glad I did - really delicious chicken curry. Lots of other great looking food being served to the other customers. Place busy which is a good sign. Also very good value. Will definitely come again.

When a work associate mentioned where we were meeting I had never heard of it I ordered a steak wrap and sat with food envy as everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing ... when it arrived my tastebuds were awakened to another level amazing flavours ... since then I have drove from blackpool and really want to work through the menu the place is fantastic with friendly helpful staff it's always busy so allow time .. I also met team fury boxing team in here so legends know of it too .. not expensive either my kind of place

I always eat at Coco's. The food is so reasonably priced for the amount you get.There are plenty of options for both vegetarians and vegans. I always have the falafel burrito and am never disappointed.This place is always busy so the wait may be a little long but it's worth it

CoCos is a great venue, unique and amazing quality of food. The service is super fast and the quality is consistently excellent. The menu is not overly complicated and they also have daily specials. Plenty of seating and also new refit with an extra floor.

Can't fault Coco's. I love everything I've ever ordered and been visiting the establishment for years.

Definitely one of my go to places when I don’t want to spend too much money, but be sure that the food won’t be crap! If you’re in town and want an affordable quality meal for around £5- £8 definitely check this place out!

Excellent choice of hot freshly made meals. Chips are to die for - the best I have ever tasted (and i have had a few). Had the breakfast burger meal and could not finish it all. Staff patient and friendly - giving advice if you are unsure of what to eat. Gave help to people with food allergies too and even made up a different meal for an over fussy customer (in my opinion not theirs).

Overall it was a good quick snack, we do eat at another caribean restaurant as it doesn’t compare. But overall nice service, quick food and hot. Remember they only take cash so make sure you have cash on you.

Soul food at its absolute finest. Been to cocos at least 20 times and not once has it ever disappointed me. From the time I walk in to the time I'm served great tasting food to the time I walk out I have nothing to complain about. Would highly recommend to everyone!

On my first visit to Preston fm London coco's was highly recommend by family friends. Lucky enough to find a table upstairs for a group of 9. food arrived quickly popping hot. Half chicken with rice chips salad and there special sauce. Chicken was really nice and juicey chips were fresh one's so we're tasty. Staff were friendly, deco was cool with a massive bob Marley on the wall All in all good experience. Would definalty come again when in Preston again

We visited as there was a vegan, veggi and meat eater and this was great as they changed the garlic bread to be vegan & did vegan meatballs & falafel was good for veggi but the boneless chicken was to die for and will be back soon

Visited here with my Girlfriend on Monday afternoon for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant was still busy! Ordered at the counter and took a seat and food arrived within 5 minutes. Extremely fresh and well cooked and huge portions for the prices. A must visit if you are in Preston or the surrounding area.

A character Restaurant that delivers a laid back atmosphere without disappointing in food quality and service. If you want a good quality food in a reasonable prize with a good portion Yeah Coco's soul food is the best option to go.

Was told over the phone last week that Cocos would be open and to turn up for around dinner time to cater for a disabled person for his birthday meal, just turned up now to find A sign in door We Are Closed for Today, but hours of business claim to be open, absolutely disgraced and to bring our lad out from Fleetwood.

I come here on a semi-regular basis, and the food is always spiced beautifully, never failing to impress. Is often very busy, but the fact there is always a line coming through the door shows its a favoured food place within the area.

Really delicious food & they run an efficient outfit considering how busy it gets. I had chicken shawarma ~ all freshly cooked and yummy. Order at the counter and expect a bit of a queue at busy times. Stylishly decorated & very pleasant staff.

Small family style restaurant with incredible food and there's something for everyone. I went with a group of six people and usually there's always one or more people who don't like anything but here there was something that everybody absolutely adored.

Mixed grill was super tasty as well as the tiger prawns! Mocktails was very refreshing! My friend and I really enjoyed the foods. I went back the second time with my husband. He loves the food too! We will back.

saw it reviewed here, just been in for a falafel. not entirely sure what got ordered but it came in a tray & was bit surprised on opening to find no fork & all the pieces separate (pieces of bread, falafels, hummus & some other dip, olive & tomato salad). no probs though. have hands. & food itself was amazing. probably best falafel ever

We ate there for the first time last week and I can not express how good the food was. As it was our first time eating there we decided to try a few different item on the menu and every thing was out of this world. It is one of the best places I have eaten in England and can not wait to return. I also found the staff friendly and efficient. The place had a cool vibe and was very clean.. see you very soon

Hands down the best place to eat in Preston, ate here for three years while at Uni and I still miss it now.

Preston has a major problem when it comes to eating out. There are many restaurants but the majority are indifferent and ordinary. It came as a pleasant surprise to find one that was outstanding for several reasons. first of all dont be put off by the frontage which favours a takeaway. Inside the restaurant is small bright and cosy. tables are simple wood and spotless but above all is the welcoming smiles from the staff. The menu is wide and varied and provides a most surprising choice of Indian,Carribean and fusion foods. I chose the fish of the day which was Sea Bass cooked to your preference, in my case pan fried on the bone with the most delicious chips in preston. The service was quick and the food piping hot! There is no doubt these people could show a lot of restaurants how to make tasty food at a reasonable price. Pity they don't have a licence for alcohol,but a minor niggle. would remind readers that this is a cash restaurant. Great place great food!! Gavin Frew

Feel really bad writing a bad review for this business as the staff seem lovely and it’s a family run business , however the food was over fried (maybe they were having a bad day) the oil for sure needed changing.We paid £30 for two of us for lunch , if it was less fried I probably would have justified it.

Found this to have good ratings on TripAdvisor so I made a visit with a friend for lunch, SO GOOD. It's a small place with some tables and you order at the back. The menu was very varied, the prices were reasonable. I ordered chicken curry and that came with a side of warm roti, rice and a salad. The meal was 7.50 pounds and I was forced to get a side of fried sweet plantains, 1.20 pounds. Everything was spectacular! The curry had great flavor with just the right kick, not too spicy. My friend ordered a mango chicken salad type dish for 7 pounds and she enjoyed it very much, I tried it and found it to be quite spicy but loaded with freshness and flavor. The food didn't take long to be brought out and the ambiance was comfortable with a lot of people coming in to pick up take outs. I would absolutely come again!

Went for lunch on a Saturday, the place was nicely full but we could take a seat upstairs. The menu is excellent with plenty of choice from burgers, curry’s to seafood and vegetarian. I had a full sea bass with rice and salad. I was given the option of it being served as a whole fish or filleted. I chose to have it whole and it came with a spicy tomato based sauce and it was delicious. The other fish of the day option was salmon, which I will be trying next time. My Wife had the half chicken with rice and spicy coleslaw which she loved and thought was much tastier then a well known Portuguese chicken place that a few people have mentioned on these reviews! I couldn’t see an alcohol option so we both had a can of ting. There isn’t a card payment but the lady serving was very helpful and put the order through so I could then go to the cash machine (5 shops away) and pay on my return. There was a really great mix of customers in the place, young and old and from many different backgrounds and cultures which really added to the ambience of the place, making you feel like you are on your holidays! Great food, great staff, we will be returning! Thanks

Consistently the best food in Preston... sort of a street-food kind of place with a good atmosphere. I love the vietnamese chicken burger and their chips are lethal... so so good, can never resist a portion especially with their special sauce. My wife loves the salads which are vibrant and tasty. Jerk chicken...burritos...koftas...quesadillas, they have it all. Loads to choose from and all amazing.

Heard about this place, raved about above decent restaurants, yet almost a cafe. Loved it, very basic and rustic, fabulous authentic food, cheap as anything and the place packed with an eclectic bunch of happy people.
