Ok food but extortionate prices. There are other better Vietnamese places.

WOW, what a great place, highly recommend!!! Had an incredible afternoon on the roof top, with fresh and extremely tasty food followed by some great drinks. Started off with a iced coconut coffee and ice milk tea in the sunshine, and wow, we're they good, would defo recommend. The food was even better, softshell crab was light and tasty and the spring rolls were the best we've had, light, fried to perfection and incredibly tasty with a fresh dipping sauce, highlight of the meal! followed by the best salad I've ever tasted (I'm a salad dodger) The mango salad was sweet, tangy, spicy and crunchy all at the same time. Fresh ingredients in every meal which makes a change frome everywhere we've been. We then finished it off with some amazing cocktails, which were incredibly tasty and refreshing. The service was exceptional, thanks to the staff. We will definitely be back.

Whilst coco tangs food is usually amazing. Recently for 2 drinks and 2 cakes/pastries, our bill came to £50, they also then added a service fee. I realise everywhere is raising its prices but that is a ridiculous amount for food and drinks (if you aren't paying attention to the menu as we werent). The atmosphere is nice but at certain times is just way too crowded. The drinks we had were really plain, new menu, the old drinks had lots of flavours and really well priced. Overall a disappointing visit this time.

This gorgeous cafe offers a variety of Asian dishes from tasty cakes and desserts to delicious meals. There's a large variety of meals available all for a reasonable price. Truly delicious. There's also a great cocktail selection that are tasty as well as pretty. The decor is gorgeous and definitely a photo opportunity for Instagram. One of my favourite places in Nottingham for a quick but filling lunch.

I now regularly go to Coco Tang during the day and they never disappoint. From coffee's and ube shakes to cocktails and food, Coco tang is hands down my favourite place to go. The team are welcoming and hospitable and always with a warm and friendly smile. Thank you so much 💓

The food was nice! I have been here a couple of times before. Everything was okay . Until the last time I was here. One of the waitress served us was very rude. It was a while ago, me and my friend had dinner here. When we ere ready to pay the bill, we separate it into half. I said to the waitress that I would like to pay 18 pounds. She shouted and stared at me loudly and said “What”! You should pay the full amount. I smiled and explained that we are going to split the bill, my friend will pay the rest. But she still kept her rude face and charged us 10% service charge. If there is any misunderstanding, it doesn’t mean that you can shout and being rude to other people. You would ask and explain politely. We payed 10% service charge to be shouted at. That is not fair.

been meaning to go back to coco tang for ages and finally ended up going for coffee & cake. their coconut viet coffee is super delicious! prepared to a very high standard. all of the baked goods look delicious and from what i’ve heard are indeed very tasty too. great atmosphere, one of the kind! might not be such a hidden gem anymore, as very busy at all times, but a gem for sure. really need to go to try their proper food as everything seemed delicious too!

Took my friends to Nottingham for the first time and really wanted them to try out one of my favourite restaurants coco tang. They loved everything we ordered. We were hungry! And they delivered! Everything was tasty. As we are pros now with the pho and noodle based dishes we would say they are a bit average however everything else was beyond niceee

My daughter suggested this place as she had been before and I was taking her for a birthday meal. It was small looking place from the outside but inside it opened out to a lovely eating area at the back. We had to queue as it was very popular. While waiting in the shop area it was hard not to want to buy all the cakes as they looked amazing. Once we had our table, we looked through the menu and chose the Bun bu tron nam bo ( apologies for the missing accents) it was amazing the spring rolls were very aromatic and tasty, the noodles and accompaniments were very flavourful in the sauce and altogether very filling. Not realising how filling it would be we ordered two of the small plates, the salt and pepper squid (juicy bits of squid in a beautiful crispy batter served with a chilli dip (be warned very spicy so go easy 😋) and barbecue ribs (fall off the bone meaty ribs with a brilliant sweet bbq sauce). The service was excellent, and the staff attentive to needs and any food choice changes required. To drink I had the Vietnamese milk tea, and omg it was sublime, would keep going just for this and my daughter had the apple mint cooler, which was sharp, not overly sweet and delicious. I would highly recommend if you are ever in Nottingham (sad to say was too full to have any cake, but will defo be back to try in future).

This place is a cut above the rest. The attention to detail, the service, the food. They know what they're doing and they do it bloody well. We came tonight on a whim. Four of us in our 30's and my 90 year old Gramps! He hasn't been out on a Friday night in a good 6 decades! The staff were so accommodating, replacing the stool with a chair, moving us to a more spacious table. They were friendly, attentive, and I couldn't fault a single thing. The food was brilliant. A small selection but quality. Every dish was full of flavour, immaculately presented, generous portions. The atmosphere is just right, and the vibe is upbeat but relaxed enough to enjoy one another's company and conversation. The price of the food is more than reasonable and you get good value for money with the portions. I'd come here everyday if I could!

Delicious authentic Vietnamese food. And great beer from Hanoi! Ribs were delicious and soft. The chips were lovely and salty. Highly recommend.

Coco Tang is a well decorated restaurant serving Vietnamese and east asian cuisine. Their food is authentic and incredibly flavourful. The menu is thoughtful offering a wide range of different flavours and meats. The dessert and drinks menus are equally as attractive. I highly recommend the Che Khoai Deo as it is delicious. I love Coco Tang and when I am in Nottingham it is always my first choice for a meal. The discount/ loyalty system is a lovely and thoughtful way of supporting Vietnam, all while enjoying a discount on their food!

Fantastic food, you won't get any better than this around the area. Atmosphere is cozy and beautifully designed.

Absolutely love this place. Delicious food and awesome cocktails. They always have some specials on the menu, which add variety. Our go-to starter is the soft-shell crab. The terrace has a cool vibe.

Yeah, good. Baby squid stuffed with minced pork = vegan nightmare/ omnivore's delight. Just the right degree of chilli piquancy, contrasting textures: excellent. And hearty, with accompanying rice and veg plate. We'd shared a soft shell crab starter, and its batter was perfect, though maybe the crab a bit squishy (from frozen, I guess: ya not gonna find one in the Trent). We had a bottle of wine which was a bit supermarket for thirty quid - mebs the wine list is not their specialty. But then the cake, which redeemed any reservations on the overall five stars (I mean there's no way the place is a four hereabouts but margins, margins) but anyhow yeah, the orange and almond New Year cake: awesome, arresting, flavourful and delicate. Staff charming, funny and attentive. And I got more cake to take home, pictured below 😋🐷😝👍🏻

Good food and service, we went at a busy time for a late lunch over the weekend. Cool interiors, although I wish I knew there was an upstairs at the time of visiting, as it seems a lot more spacious and open from photos/videos I’ve seen.

Excellent food as always. Exceptional service this evening as Deliveroo only delivered half the order then Coco Tang went the extra mile to make it right.

very disappointed !! took my daughter and her mates for drinks celebrating her birthday. On checking receipts for credit card statement and just seen that they add a service charge - for buying drinks at the Bar !! I can understand it if its table service - but not when we're buying and carrying our own drinks. Sneaky - will be going to the many other bars in notts next time. Check your bill if you go here

Came for the first time for club night on Tuesday. Whole venue was perfect and the barstaff in particular Olivia who managed to serve 4 people at once whilst under pressure. What a great place to come to!!

Great food. Really interesting range of drinks and deserts including ube! Good decor, mint green theme, comfy seating and good lighting. Tasteful Christmas decorations. Good service.

My daughter took me to Coco Tang on my latest visit to see her in Nottingham. It is now my new favourite place to eat and my new favourite food! The lemongrass and ginger chicken is out of this world! WoW! The surroundings and atmosphere are brilliant and the staff are absolutely lovely too! I can’t wait to go back 🙏💝

Have been to coco tang so many times and it is amazing every time! Food is always delicious, drinks are always great! The humming bird is my favourite cocktail! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I went to Coco Tang for dinner but we had drinks first in the bar downstairs. The cocktails are incredible and very creative, incorporating delicious flavours and visual elements. I got a Fight Club cocktail with an edible Fight Club soap 🧼 The atmosphere is great, I loved the decor downstairs especially the retro cinema seating. The food was great, especially the dessert Halo Halo, but I have had better beef pho (this one was still tasty though)

Food is great. A little on the pricier side. Don't agree with a mandated service charge. I typically tip 20-30% at a food establishment. But if it's mandated I will not add any extra.

Delicious food, excellent coffee, eclectic decor and all around charming. Their menu has changed some but still holds up!

The service was great! I’m not a huge coffee person so i chose the honeycomb coffee and it was one of the best i’ve had! I’d also recommend the ube cheesecake ;). I’ve been here multiple times and they are very consistent both with the amazing service they provide and the tasty food!!

We had the mixed pho bo and spring rolls+fried beef rice noodles. The pho was too small, and the soup base is a bit too salty and full of MSG. As for the rice noodles, the spring roll is again too salty, and the sauces used in the noodles doesn’t have the sour taste I’m expecting it to have, making the dish much less fresher than I would’ve imagined. Overall not much value for money. Wanted to try the Thai milk tea, but it was sold out on the day.

Order a Pho and Spring Rolls. The Pho noodle was hard, feels raw and cheap. The noodle soup is salty and felt like MSG. The overall size of the Pho is small, completely not worth the money. Spring rolls were deep fried well, but the seasoning is way off, too salty. I end up completing the whole bottle of tap water and asked for more.

The best Pho boy this side of Hanoi, service is great atmosphere is Phonominal, a must visit, and make sure you have the Pho

We had come across this place while looking at places to eat on tiktoc. Absoloutly over the moon we went. We visited in the day and had coffee and cakes, Beautiful. We decided to go again in the evening for food and I'm so glad we did. Atmosphere was fantastic and the food was stunning. Can't wait to make our annual trip to Nottingham so we can revisit this wonderful quirky resturant.

Went for lunch with friends and had a few of the starters and desserts. Good food, quick service, lovely decor and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Just wow, a must visit, visited two times in last three months and both times the food was impeccable,

I used to really like eating here. The food was tasty and staff super efficient. I particularly appreciated the effort the young woman, front of house, went to ensure I had slice of pandan cake but after going back and two other occasions, things changed. My favourite dish, bbq pork ribs, became a side dish at more or less the same price. On the first of the above occasions, the ribs were so burnt that they had to be sent back and on the second, they were not tender. Sadly, CCT is no longer one of my favourite places to eat.

Nuestro uni hijo recomendó este bar, y sin duda aumentamos un poco la edad media. Sin embargo, nunca una vez se sintió fuera de lugar, el personal era brillante y no levantó ninguna ceja o dar ninguna impresión de que podríamos haber estado perdidos. Sobre todo los cócteles eran geniales, el personal dedicado, los chicos agradables en la puerta, y un ambiente fabuloso y zumbado con gran música que nos hizo sentir jóvenes y reminiscentes de nuestros propios días uni. Muy agradable!

Unique multi level restaurant, cafe and bar. If the weather is nice try to sit upstairs in the courtyard. Great selection of cocktails as well as a fantastic food menu.

I used to love Coco Tang until they have treated me awfully during the lockdown. When restaurants were allowed to open, I did not have to wear the mask due to my medical condition (being exempt). I was a key worker myself and was looking forward to having a meal in one of my favourite restaurants, when the waiter started questioning me about my health condition and asking me to show him the proof I did not need a mask. They have made me feel absolutely awful and I ended up leaving in tears. I messaged them to make a complaint a few times and was being ignored without anyone acknowledging the impact their behaviour/treatment had upon me. Would love to return, but as they have absolutely ignored me and my complaint, I will not be going back…

Wow, this place is great! Visited with my friend for a quick bite and can't wait to go back - the food envy seeing all the food for the other tables! We ordered drinks a starter each and a cake - the menu is clear and really interesting dishes to try. Look, this place is a bit pricer but definitely worth it and very authentic. Be aware they do add 10% service charge straight to your bill but the service is very good so I'm not complaining.

Not been here for a few years but it’s still as good as ever! We sat outside upstairs where you can see them cooking. I never knew the outside space was there! Food/service all good. Will hopefully be back more now I know it’s dog friendly!

Peach black tea was good but not worth the price (£6) and they put too much ice in the glass.

I have been to Coco Tang twice in the past month now, it is such a beautiful place. I love the garden area upstairs + the indoor space next to it with that window looking out onto the garden. The cocktails are unique, they taste refreshing. I got the bamboo basket sharer both times I came, it was so tasty and the vegetarian spring rolls are addictive!! I have never tasted spring rolls quite like them, I don’t eat them unless they’re from Coco Tang. Most of the staff are friendly, there was just one female who works there that has a bad attitude but I didn’t catch her name. The last time I came, it was a gentleman who saw to us and he was so nice! Would come back again, my advice for room for improvement is to make sure some brush up on their customer service skills! One lets the others down. ☺️

This place looks great and has fantastic cakes and patisserie. The drinks are nice if a bit sweet. The coffee is very good. Food from the menu is disappointing and lacking in any real flavour, although well presented. Everything is very stylish.

Called in with a friend 7/7/24 on spur of the moment and so glad we did: Soft shell crabs were excellent with a flavoursome batter, Seared beef and mango salad was vibrant, fresh and full of contrasting flavours Sticky pork ribs were probably some of the best short ribs in Nottingham fell of the bone and juicy yet delightful Portion sizes were plentiful With a couple of tasty cocktails thrown in, well worth the £64 definitely worth visiting and we will be back. Seating area at back is lovely to sit in and watch the kitchen. Service charge added to billl but waitress was thoughtful enough to explain it was there but optional; Bonus points for that!

Atmosphere was a bit noisy which made conversation across the table difficult. However explaining to a staff member that I would find sitting on a stool impossible she went out of her way to get me a chair with a back. Also asked the waiter about about allergies and went to make sure my cocktail choice was ok for me

I have to say, my friend and I just wanted to get away from the hum drum of daily life...cooking, cleaning, supporting the family. We stopped here. I can say...it felt like I was on holiday. The sun was shining, the food was amazing and the cocktails took me to another level. I will be back - probably for a special occasion, to ensure it stays as special as I felt it was. The best.

Lovely place,really nice decor,cool bar. Good atmosphere. Great cocktails. We had the ginger and lemongrass chicken which was delicious but needed a little bit more sauce to have with the rice. Soft shell crab was perfect, Asian style salad fresh and tasty! My son had pork ribs,said they were really good.

The food is very nice and some of it is really authentic. The venue itself is really nicely done out and really feels like you could be in Hanoi. The terrace is really nice to in. We had spring rolls, tofu in tomato sauce and pineapple rice, all delicious.

Disappointed with our visit here as had high expectations. The food and drinks look good but unfortunately we’re generally quite bland, very average tasting L, at best and overpriced. My beef broth was extremely bland and for some reason the lime wedges and bean shoots were served separately. I guess this maybe adds a little interest to the look but the beef tasted as though it had been boiled in plain water and the broth, while advertised as having been stewed for multiple hours, was a major disappointment, more like a stock cube for 5 minutes. The stuffed squid was a bit more flavoursome but not that special and the veggie rice vermicelli hardly had any veg at first though this was rectified after some reluctance. Initially we were give an outside table in direct sun and although there were awnings above, the staff said they couldn’t draw them as it may upset other customers. So why they were here, if not to shade the sun, I don’t know. While I understand this is a trendy themed restaurant and why people may like to come here, you’d expect to at least have a decent seat to sit on instead of a stool or if you’re lucky, a bench with small cushioned back rest. Annoyingly the main courses arrived before the starters too, the. 2 minutes later all the mains arrived, so very cramped on the small table we had. Overall, I personally think if you eat out to enjoy great food, then this ISN’T the place for you. If you like somewhere that’s a bit trendy and not too fussed how the food tastes or what you pay for it then you may enjoy it here.

The food was delicious and the service was 10/10. The environment and decor are very nice, the upstairs terrace is a perfect place on hot days. Wish they had more vegan options, upon checking the allergen info, the vegetarian dishes could be easily veganised! Such a shame. In terms of portions, they were not so generous for the price. But it was a good experience.
