Coco Tang : Cocktail Bar in Nottingham

Visting from Chicago, stopped for a drink, fantastic house music DJ, and whoever made my old fashioned took time and care with it. Best I've had for a long time

Came here with my partner. Enjoyed the cocktails. Came back with my partner on a weekend, refused entry because we didn’t have a girl with us. Bouncer was extremely aggressive and rude from the first contact. “You’re not coming in if you don’t have girls with you” okay hello to you too, why not? Did we look like the sort of gay couple that are going to harass women? Students aren’t even around at the moment otherwise we would have given it a miss. I’d recommend pepper rocks instead where the bouncers were very friendly, chatty and welcoming. Nobody goes for a drink to be intimidated by staff upon entry In any case if you like groups of pretentious teenagers taking photos for instagram instead of chatting this place is for you. Really is a bizarre atmosphere to walk into a bar and it be almost silent because groups of people are all looking down at their phone ignoring each other because they’re so obsessed with their social media

I used to be a regular client going pretty much every weekend, bring friends from other cities to Coco Tang, taking dates to coco tang. Until the tall bouncer started to act funny.. I don't have time for bs. I will never come back.

Been here for a meal the atmosphere was pretty relaxing food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it and its worth to visit if you're visiting Nottingham 👍🫶

Came here for the House of Disco event. I’m a supervisor in a bar so I always like to explore and compare new places. The venue theme, dressing and layout here is phenomenal and by far the best in the city. The drinks are fairly priced and especially when you consider you’re in a suave, popular cocktail bar. The bar staff were incredible. Lightning speed and receptiveness. These guys are the epitome of professionals. Music was 10/10 too. Had an excellent night here. (Shoutout to Olivia who was great)!

The vibes in here were immaculate. They had someone playing the sax and drums aswell as a DJ. The drinks tasted amazing and there was such a good range of alcohol. Prices were decent and the staff were super friendly. Had an amazing time !

Bouncer is a horrible man. Very judgemental and nasty… nice bar but that old bouncer man needs to be sacked, brings the vibe of the bar down

The staff are amazing and incredibly organised. Great at dealing with issues if they arise and the staff are so friendly, bartenders, bouncers and managers are all amazing - one of my favourite bars in Nottingham. The atmosphere is amazing and the drinks are really well priced (especially for students)

Omg what can I say, absolutely loved this place, okay it's down. Stairs but worth the effort for us oldies, drinks slightly pricey but lovely choice and delicious, atmosphere is brilliant 👏

I came here for cocktails, they were so tasty. I had the Mean Girls one, probably the best cocktail I have ever tried + it looked pretty too! I love the decoration inside, and the vibe is fab! I will 100% be coming back.

Had 2 cocktails and the prices are just extortionate considering, all you taste is just sugar and no alcohol with loads of ice. I was so looking forward to spend more time in there but had to leave.

Awesome place to have some cocktails. The entrance is a little bit hidden and I haven't expected this underground cocktail bar which has so many different rooms and even a courtyard with palm trees.

Great bar/club, comes with their own unique cocktails! Feels like a cyberpunk theme when coming in and has a small dance floor.

Beat cocktails ever and great atmosphere

We are here on Saturday evening. They were able to accommodate us as a walk in. Really great atmosphere, cocktail selection is very good, food was excellent and came quickly. Service was slow and even though it was busy there didn’t seem to be an allocated person on any area so you had to ‘catch someone in passing’ for everything you needed.

Highly recommend to provide some training to the manager, had interview this week and it wasn’t up to the standard. I withdrawa my application as soon as I stepped out of the place which I never done that before!

By day Coco Tang is a great place to chill, grab lunch, and have a coffee. By night, it is the hippest place in Nottingham. It feels like an old school secret club, the sort of place you want to see and be seen in. The bar is one of the best in Nottingham, the cocktails both entertainment and a delight. 100% recommend.

Quite a few cocktail selections. It is expensive, but you can get student discount. The Regina George cocktail was amazing.

Great for drinks and chill music.

Went for the bar area which was a good vibe, though wouldn't be able to have more than 2 drinks here and spend a whole evening here just due to style of music, prices and lack of cocktails to my personal taste. The cocktails were quirky - though a service charge is added automatically and the cocktails are pricey enough as it is. Would like to try the food next time!

Up there with one of the best cocktail bars I’ve been to. The whole place has such a cool and boujee vibe to it. We loved the cocktails! They were so delicious and really packed a punch ;) The servers were great also; making the cocktails right in front of us, they gave us some theatre and happily entertained our (slightly drunk and annoying) conversation. I never been to such a terrible place in my life. The securities stopped me as I was wearing hoodies, where as their website says "no dress code" Traumatic experience.. Will never opt again...

Great cocktail bar with exciting cocktails and cool decor in Nottinghams Lacemarket. Lots of space but still feels intimate and lively. Staff are all lovely and cocktails are delicious.

Normally come here for drinks during the eve/night, and all the cocktails are absolutely amazing, they contain plenty of alcohol and do the job nicely whilst still being incredibly tasty. Day time food, never had any issues always delicious 😋

Lovely cocktails. Me and my partner both had the flight club. Might I add, the staff made our visit even better as they were extremely welcoming and warm.

I was expecting more from food, maybe it's just my personal preference but food was pretty tasteless and dry (we order menu for two). Cocktails were great, specially fight club and hummingbird ones

Great atmosphere and experience even for a Tuesday night, perfect so a midweek cocktail.

One of the most beautiful and interesting interiors in Nottingham. Worth a visit for this if nothing else. Simply the best coffee, tea and cake. The food is OK but nothing special. The staff are wonderful! Great service!

It's one of the bars that always sticks in my head whenever I've visited Notts it's such a cool vibe in there! Low lighting, underground, smooth ambience and a wicked array of drinks (I asked for Wray & Nephew rum and they actually had it!) Staff and the doormen are really sound too big up Khan I think? And also Francisco on the door, gentlemen! 🙏🏾🙂

It’s one of my favourite bars I’ve been to, even compared with bars all over the world. The drinks are so creative, especially the movie references such as the fight club drink with the soap! The atmosphere is great, including the decoration and lights. During daytime the food is also excellent which was surprising. Wish the drinks were cheaper but it’s a normal cocktail bar price, so perfectly okay for how great it is.

Love the food here and the portion sizes and the atmosphere. I Like the upstairs indoor garden.

What a brilliant find in the town centre. Polite and extremely helpful servers. Jade showed us upstairs and we will definitely be eating here again. In fact for my partner & I it has already become "our place."

Called first to book told could not. arrived to a 2 hour wait. Very frustrating. However food is amazing. Take a good book.

My ONLY 5 star review in Nottingham. I’ve visited Coco Tang over the course of 3 months so waited until my last visit before posting a review. Secluded restaurant down a side street in the middle of town. The food is amazing, authentic and consistent every time I come. Great selection of cocktails and beers from Asia - happy from 8pm-10pm. I’ve had the lucky chance to nearly sample everything on the food menu and it’s all very good and tasty. The service is friendly, however the front of house can be slightly be more welcoming. But this small thing won’t dampen the overall rating of the restaurant. They also run a good discount scheme if you frequent their restaurant. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick tasty Asian bite to eat with a colonial romantic atmosphere. Save room for the cakes after finishing as well!

Lovely decor, good food and drinks. Works just as well as a daytime cafe, or restaurant and bar. Try the Vietnamese iced coffee on the roof terrace!

The worst pub in Nottingham. Such a rasict pub if they see some people who aren't British, they will let you stay for 30-50 minutes outside the pub and then they will kick you out by saying, ( guys you are totally drunk and you guys won't be able to get inside the pub ). kindly avoid this pub.
