I'm disappointed that Zaap have started to add an 'optional service charge' to their bill. This took the bill from £81.30 to £89.93 so maybe 11% at a rough guess. When did this begin? It has put me off going back. I've enjoyed taking friends & family there over the years. Surely one should tip if the service has been exceptional. It should not be added onto the bill to be discovered later.

What a fantastic restaurant! The menu is extensive and delicious. The staff are really attentive and the decor is so unique. Just like being back in Thai food markets!

The decoration is amazing. Food is good, but I would prefer bigger portion for that price.

Always amazing food and service levels

Second visit and this time the summer menu fried chicken was a hit very juicy and well seasoned. The vibes don’t live up to the full potential as it’s clear staff are asked to keep things moving and even when the place isn’t busy will rush things along. The optional service charge that doesn’t feel optional because you’d have to ask and explain why not if you don’t want to pay it as it is automatically added. I always think that’s in poor taste. So your bill will get more pricey however the food is well worth the visit.

The atmosphere, service and most importantly the taste of the food was truly delicious - for all of us, even my 6 and 9 year old. And so much fun to explore in the place. We can’t wait to visit again!

I've been here three times and usually enjoy the food, especially the Tom Yum soup, which is why I returned. This time, I ordered Tom Yum soup with noodles and chose the mild spice level, but I found the soup a bit too sour. We also ordered the Pad Thai Bo Ran, but it was quite chewy. I mentioned it to the waitress, and she explained that if it were softer, it wouldn't cook properly. However, I still felt it was too hard. Aside from these, the other dishes were nice as usual.

The environment is excellent and feeling like in Thailand. Food is good and I love Thai boat noodle. The staff is nice but little bit rush as we once finished the food, the waitress collected and asked us want to check bill or not. But overall is a good restaurant!

I have been to this restaurant several times and i can honestly say I have been more than pleasantly pleased. The food is delicious. The staff are energetic and fun, Thai music and general decor really makes it feel like you are eating at a genuine street food restaurant in Thailand.

A themed restaurant - colourful and vibrant. Quick service, tasty food, large seating area. Visited them several times and always loved it!

First time coming to this restaurant. Was a bit confusing to find due to outside construction. However, once I got inside, I instantly noticed these cars like tables, a great idea, and the atmosphere is cosy. I ordered the lunch menu chicken pad thai and sweet corn cakes, which were delicious. Also, I tried the sweet mango pudding for the first time. It's nice, but slightly too sweet for me. Overall 9/10, 100% recommend 😊✨️

Very good food and really good quality. Like the inside of the venue and very well thought out. Open kitchen and you can see what's being cooked Really big menu with lots of choice , starters. We had 3 between two and mains. We had two and was more than enough. Total cost around 60 including drinks. But you could just have a main if you wanted to . But we wanted to try lots of small bites. Very busy. No booking system but only had to wait 10 mins and that was at 7pm on a Saturday

I order fish rice and fried curry sauce , I called the service to inform them, I ordered through deliveroo. But they could not send out another order as the one I ordered is really salty

Fab atmosphere, fast friendly service and reasonable prices. Food is amazing. Have been a few times and never let down. One of few places that seems to have maintained their standards and quality since they opened.

We had a nice night. It was my birthday treat. The food was lovely. But the service seemed rushed, it was a quiet Monday night so no hurry to get us off the table but we were rushed to order and they wanted to remove our starters before we had finished as the mains were ready. It cost 145 for 4 with a beer each.. not bad for good food. But we got home and looked at the receipt to circle our favourites for next time. We had been charged an “optional” service charge, without being asked. The staff knew it was my birthday and when I went to pay I never thought to ask to see a breakdown of the bill. It just seems rude to not ask.. if they had we would happily have paid it! A real shame..

Went today with my friends for dinner , the food arrived fast and tom yum soup was really delicious, but other main we got was chicken, it was very very very dry , it stuck in my friends throat and she had to drinks lots of water to swallow it , we didn’t ate any more of that as it was super dry , The manager or supervisor came in the end , gave us the refund and was very helpful.

Food arrived in 7 minutes! Amazing service and nice yummy food. Lots of variety too, good for vegetarians. Also, we accidentally left some sunglasses there and they were so helpful in returning them to us 👍

Lovely place to visit with tasty food experiences. Usually get the grilled seabass with jasmine rice, which is a great meal and banana fritters for dessert. Tried the mango sticky rice for the first time and will definitely recommend!!! Absolutely delicious

Amazing choice of food available, including for Vegetarians. We visited on a Saturday (late afternoon) and service was good. We enjoyed two veggie starters and two mails. All tasty, full of flavour and good value for money.

Fantastic place to go for Thai food at a good price

Hidden Optional service charge was added to our bill £5 without our knowledge. Don’t think they deserve it. Be careful everyone. It was only noticed after leaving the place. I thought this was the UK and not America…. Hiding the prices…….. service charges should be part of the of the meal cost and not an extra… if an extra we should be asked at the time of the bill.

Fantastic place for authentic Thai street food in the centre of Nottingham . The spring rolls were superb as were the gyozas.

Not a cheap dining experience (not crazy expensive either) but the food was absolutely delicious, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was busy but not overwhelming. I'll come back here when I'm treating myself to something special.

Khao Pad Pla Kem and Tam-Sua (noodle papaya salad) is top for our dinner tonight! There’re a variety of Papaya Salad choices and they seem authentic.

One of the best places I have ever eaten. Food was amazing (the beef skewers were heavenly!), service was perfect - no hassling but attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Curry was ok. Service was good even when all the tables were full you had to wait 10 minutes, but that's understandable when it was full. Cocktails were very tasty

One of the staff has just flipped my drink and refuse to admit it’s her fault. She shouted to me loud and talked to me in very rude way.

Pad Thai didn't taste like much, asked for salt, helped a bit but still the worst pad Thai I've had. Good service though.

We’ve eaten here once, last year and the food was delicious, albeit a bit pricey for what it was. Having had man flu all week I was happy to see that Deliveroo delivered to Stapleford as I needed a decent meal and I’ve had enough of tea and toast this week! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Delicious sea bass, great salad, soup for tomorrow and one very happy customer. Best Thai I have had since I was in Hong Kong. Paid extra for fast delivery and despite being cynical it turned up direct, and still hot, as promised. Tracker worked well too. Jumps into second place for Notts city centre dining behind Kushi-ya, which is pretty high praise!!

They brought receipt and ask us to clear the table because they are busy and need it..... 2 family pairs with 5 children spent 200 pounds in 2 hours..... discraseful... or greedy for money... so bad

Really enjoyable dinner before a visit to the Playhouse. Great vibe in there, massive choice on the menu, good food, with decent portion sizes. Quick service. We got there at 6 on a Friday and were seated quickly, but a bit of a queue formed so take that into account, but turnover seems quick.

Keep going back here for Thai food always! It’s usually always very busy, ambience is great as there’s so many Thai references and decor all around, including tuktuks as seating areas! Particularly recommending the sea bass in lemony broth, it’s just so so good. Generally food is a bit spicy but that can be adjusted upon request. The pad thai, drunken noodles and the brown sugar milk tea is my absolute favourites.

came here last night, usually never big on restaurants however the atmosphere here was incredible and the food has plenty of vegetarian options, our server (Moo) made the dining experience simple and easy, a wonderful server!

The atmosphere of this restaurant is just amazing, so colourful makes you feel the energy of the place, different with great vibes, the service was really good and the food was super nice, I would recommend it, despite they do serve pork and alcohol, but the chicken and duck meat there are halal, would recommend this restaurant for a different dinner with nice vibes, as well the non alcoholic cocktails were lovely 😍 👌

It was my third time eating here at Zaap. The food was exceptional, with portion size being worth the price. Quick service and friendly staff! I would highly recommend this place.

Very busy on Saturday afternoon. We had to wait 20 mins for a table but no problem with that. The food is cooked by Thai people and tastes just like it would over in Thailand. Rhe restaurant is set like a Thai Market and has tuk tuks and train front inside. It's a a brilliant setting for food. We gave been several times. My only downpoint would be pricing, it does seem to have crept up the last few years. Delicious all the same.

Could not fault the food here. Had a Crispy Chicken with mango salsa for starters. Flavours were great. Sweet and sour (with a Thai twist) crispy chicken for main. There was a lot of chicken on the plate. No room for dessert.
