I have eaten here a number of times with mixed results. Last time was good. This time less so. Servers were good, but the long wait after ordering took from the experience. The food, when it came was only average.

Myself and Lyndsey booked here for nine nights and it was the best place we have stayed in the Coventry area. The rooms where very satisfactory and staff where very particular on the cleanliness and attention to detail. On arrival the manager was great an explained everything we needed to know regarding our stay and the amenities of the establishment (which doesn’t happen very often, normally you have to ask these days). Once we unpacked we decided to get a bite to eat and I must admit I was gobsmacked at the food. The Sunday Roast was fantastic, everything cooked to perfection and the gravy was delicious. Holly our server was very attentive and I only wish more establishments had ladies like her. Nothing was a trouble and a smile to boot! We were actually glad we booked breakfast for each of the mornings we stayed as it did not disappoint! We were met by Emma most mornings with a smile and Tina taking our orders (the wonderful Tina). The breakfasts were outstanding each and every morning, the Chef I think his name is Ricky plated up exceptional quality every morning, on par or better than the Merchant Hotel/Europa Hotel in Belfast. I must admit I enjoyed my stay that much I have booked in advance for my next two stays in Coventry. This will be the place I go from now on! I would also like to thank Becky, Lizzy and Tammy for a wonderful pleasant stay. I will see you all in mid August.

Stopped off for some lunch on the way home and had fish and chips and Katsu chicken and food was nice.Prices are very reasonable and service was excellent and the young lady serving us was lovely and always asking if we needed anything.

Massive shout out to the Cocked hat. Only started coming to the pub last few months but very impressed. The staff are fantastic especially Emma and Liam. Nothing is too much to ask and they are always a pleasure to see. The pub also has a good selection of beverages along with a comprehensive and reasonably priced menu. Always worth a visit👍🍽️🍸🍺

Fantastic service especially Shanice and Morgan who catered to our every need. They were brilliant with my youngest son and allowed my picky older son to have his dinner exactly how he wanted it. We go at least once a week and always feel so welcomed by the staff Very much recommend !

We used the conference centre for an event in support of Macmillian cancer support on the 27th March . The support beforehand from Drew the Manager was fantastic he was very supportive and offered lots of help. Lots of support on the night from a fantastic team Morgan , Chloe and Ashley the kitchen manager who offered support in the way of food advice for a buffet. We raised a staggering£580 which was a great night. We also had a meal beforehand in the restaurant and the food is just fantastic, not only does it taste great but it looks so good , that you want to eat it , and being a fussy eater, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Myself and 2 colleagues enjoyed dinner and a couple of beers. Standard of food was excellent as was service provided by shanice, Morgan, chloe and adrianna

Lovely food with good choices to suit all tastes and when mine arrived it was served nice and on a warm plate and adult sized portions. The Squid as a starter was nice and the burger for main course tipped it off.

We went for Mother’s Day and the Sunday dinner was dreadful. Meat was very fatty, Yorkshire puddings we’re hard and flat, thought they were a pancakes. Gravy was lumpy with granules that weren’t mixed in properly. We had 8 people on the table and four had eaten there dinner before the other four were served. We had difficulty paying the deposit and 2 deposits were taken from our bank. When I disputed this with management they are denying I have paid 2 deposits. It shows on my account that I payed 2 deposits to the greene king on the same day and time, but they still deny this. They have been very unhelpful about this and told me to take it up with my bank. Overall we were very disappointed, as this was a treat for all the family on Mother’s Day☹️☹️

I'm actually here as we speak. Unfortunately the room smells of pee . I think it's the bathroom but very pungent. Quite noisy with the motorway . We are eating here so I hope it's better than some of the reviews?

Found the cocked hat, after the original restaurant we had booked was closed! We where seated straight away and our drinks orders taken by Mady. We where informed of what they had sold out of food wise. Mady was really attentive and friendly. She was a busy bee and didn't stop moving - behind the bar, serving meals, cleaning tables and checking on guests. Mady is great on her upsell too. One mishap with our food order was sorted within minutes by Mady, who was very apologetic, we where completely satisfied with how it was handled. Had a delicious hot meal and one more drink after. As we where leaving we where surprised to find out it was one of Mady's first times serving on the floor - she was fantastic and very knowledgeable with a good memory.

Used to love coming to this establishment a couple of years back, came back for the first time in a while and was extremely disappointed. Must be under new management as it’s not what it used to be. Steak overcooked, overpriced, poor quality, and staff are running around like headless chickens with no real manager in sight apart from a girl who looked very young.

Met on entry by a charming bartender Liam who took us to our table, who was friendly and polite. Had a lovely Nacho starters must be the best in town . Followed by the most juicy and tasty Ribeye steak, mine with minted new potatoes my partner had the chips, apparently cooked by Katie in the kitchen. And served by the lovely friendly shanice definitely much improved on previous years ten out of ten .

We have been here for the last two nights and were very fortunate to have Adriana as our server. She has been fantastic. The food was great but she really has gone above and beyond to make sure we were happy! Thank you!

We’ve visited on team lunches here many times before. The service is always good but the food slow. I put that down to us being a large party (15 people) & so this time, I took the initiative & pre ordered. The experience was awful. Some people didn’t receive their lunch, some were cold & one had stale bread & a hair in their food! When we questioned the fact that lunches hadn’t arrived, we were told they weren’t on the preorder. Luckily, I had the preorder email to hand which proved it had been sent over correctly. There wasn’t really an apology, just a disgruntled waitress trying to say it was us in the wrong and an explanation that they were short staffed. We’ll definitely be finding an alternative venue for future meals.

It would be nice to have subtitles on the TV in the bar area as you can't hear the TV would definitely come back the burgers were top notch 😁

On a relatively quiet Sunday evening, we couldn't have chosen better. The staff were very attentive and friendly, serving promptly and skilfully, and the food was excellent. The salmon was well cooked with an interesting and tasty trio of vegetables. Well done to all concerned. Good value for money too.

What I liked · I messaged two days ahead of our stay to ask fir a family room as our grandchild would more than likely be staying. On arrival we were given a beautifully large family suite - two rooms. Very comfortable The breakfast was very good - several dishes for cooked on offer along side help yourself continental. Cocked Hat is our local. A great pub. Always a smiley reception. Tonight we was served by Chloe. Always polite. Knows the menu inside out. All the options. Just makes it a effortless experience.

Visited last week for a meal to celebrate a family birthday with a large group. Couldn’t fault the food, atmosphere or the service, our server Holly was superb and helped us have an excellent evening. Very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for a family with picky eating habits. Will definitely be back for our next family birthday dinner again and would recommend to others to do the same.
