Good food and value for money. Decent kids area out the back with seating. Dropped a mark as inside needs abit of updating. Last came here 10/15 years back and it's not changed.

Had sausage and mash and 2 cokes reasonably priced

Pub busy but told when ordering food would be a 40 minute wait. Food arrived after 25 minutes piping hot and delicious. It is a great local pub

The steaks were too tough to eat, my wife left hers almost entirely. We were given free desserts which was helpful. Overall on our anniversary it was disappointing.

Absolutely amazing food, great portions and really well presented, compliments to the chef your standards are five star plus. The staff are so warm and friendly from the moment you enter you feel so welcomed. The pub has a warm and cosy feel also. I have been twice now over the last few weeks because it's that good. Thank you to the manager for incredible food and staff.

Visited this pub when passing through the area. Seemed very friendly and nice. Beer selection was great and tasty. We didn’t try the food ourselves but saw others and it looked good. I’d definitely stop in again if in the area.

Lovely food. Very busy place specially Friday night for dinner need to wait longer. But the chicken burger (stacked)was amazing with gravy chips and coleslaw. For dessert we had crumble we shared was lovely

Although busy, service and food was very good. The special I had was absolutely lovely, tender and fell off the bone.

Staff were very friendly, accommodating and efficient. Waitress accidentally collided with a young customer and dropped 2 of our meals. We appreciated that it was an accident and didn't mind waiting for replacement meals, which were brought out pretty quickly so thanks to the kitchen team for that. Food was nice. Table of 8 and we all enjoyed our evening. Thank you.

Always a warm welcome, especially Shaun. He is friendly,professional and efficient. In fact the whole team make the pub an inviting place to be.

Staff were very friendly, we had to wait a few minutes to get served beer and then wait for the table, but we were a bit early. We had a 30% off mains voucher and this meant that we thought that the meal was really good value for money and the service was good. And we will definitely come back for the steak night as this seemed good value and the sirloin steaks were great on the night. The amount of onion rings and size could have been improved though.

It was busy we were told there would be around 45 minutes wait on food. We said this was fine so we ordered our food. Food come out quickier then time told and the food was spot on and even though the staff were very busy they were still attentive and we had a great evening out.

I had booked for 4 people for 12.30. The car park was full. I parked the car up the road which was a 10 minute walk. Worried I was going to miss our booking. I was very happy they had kept table reserved for us. Dinners were very hot and came when they said it would. Waiter came and checked meals were okay for us. Very happy with service. We also had a 3o% off main meals voucher which was used. Exceptional. Would highly recommend.

Food was absolutely excellent service was very good and staff very informative. Didn't feel rushed at all ..Even though the restaurant was very busy ..had a slight problem getting the hand dyer to work in the ladies toilet and parking was a little difficult but eventually found a place ,overall a lovely experience.

It's an OK place, I had a Sunday roast which wasn't the best quality, but acceptable. The premises are clean, staff are friendly, and it has a pleasant, and quiet atmosphere.

We booked for 4 people, however with last minute childcare arrangements meant we had to increase to 5 people. Really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It was really busy and yet still great customer service. We all enjoyed our meals and had a lovely night. Thank you

We had booked a table for 12 for 5:30pm. We got our table and went and ordered the drinks and food, we got to the bar and then as I was ordering I was asked for my ID and so was my 13 year old niece who wanted to come with me to see what she wanted to drink! so went back to the table to get my ID to go and order, showed my ID to the lady behind the till, she put 2 things through then just walked off out the back and a man came to the till, had to start the order all over again, then he asked me to see my ID, then finally got the order done and he was pouring the drinks I grabbed the tray to take the first half of the drinks through and he says “ I will have to take the tray as you have no ID” I said I’ve already shown you it twice! And had to show it to him again to carry a tray! So was 6:10 by the time we got the drinks. Then at 6:40 the food arrives, we had asked for some with no mushrooms and peas etc, but this was ignored on the surf and turf, I asked for the kids meal plain so just a burger and bun and it had lettuce in, I asked for my mixed grill with no mushroom, peas or tomatoes and I was missing the onion rings! After the main, we got our deserts at 7:20! We had literally finished our last mouthful and they had come over to tell us that our time was up and we had to move from the table, my son was still eating his main meal at this point! We won’t be returning again.

Place was very busy but they found us a table and cleared/cleaned it. Food was hot on a hot plate..just as we like it! We used your 30% off mains...very welcome. Food took a while to come but as I said place was busy. Even though very busy staff were all friendly and helpful. Scrummy hot apple crumble and custard. Good evening all round

Good service on a very busy night

We hadnt visited for over a year but thought we'd give it a go & brought our son with us. The good - very friendly staff, didnt wait long to order The bad - over an hour's wait for our food isnt acceptable. It was busy, but not full. My main gripe was with the steak. We ordered sirloin, medium. The steak arrived, pink in the centre, so all good. That is, until we tried to cut into it. It was tough beyond belief. No steak knife was provided but I'm not sure it would have made a difference. This medium cooked steak managed to be tough AND tasteless, with a fairly large rind of fat to boot. We decided against sending it back as we'd had to wait an age in the first place. Disappointing. Steak is easy to get right, so not sure if this was just sub standard meat

Waited over an hour for food. Sirloin steak was ordered medium, it was pink in the middle yet somehow chewy, tough to cut & tasteless? How? Steak is simple to cook Friendly staff save my feedback from being even lower rated. Bang average pub grub with much better options locally. We'll not rush back

Our first time here and thought we would give it a try. Food and service good, lovely atmosphere, we had two minor issues, no cutlery and had to ask for some elements of our food that was forgotten. I talked to the manager and he was brilliant, very professional, our next drinks were compensation and we will definitely return 👍

The service and friendliness of the staff was superb, took our 12 month old adolescent pup and was asked straight away if she wanted a bowl of water, and the staff helped bring both rounds of drinks to the table. Will definitely be returning, experience was so good that I emailed the pub yesterday evening to thank them.

Our Server AJ was amazing, give him a pay rise or an extra days holiday.... We had a table pre booked for 21, in an already busy pub. However, AJ was always with a smile, kept us informed, and just generally A* service all round. Really did make the evening go well, all food served together which was delicious and really appreciate the time and effort considering how busy it was also. Thanks AJ & team we will be back soon.

The Cock Inn provided amazing mains and desserts for our large family meal, and everyone who served us was friendly and polite. Credit to the management there for making it a fantastic experience.

Great food and staff The main issue is tables not cleaned enough I so this when eating our meals. Also the sauce bottles and condiments are not wiped down or cleaned after service Again we so this It’s far more hygiene wise to give out sauce condiment sachets That’s my only gripe of the visits over the past 12 month . Our table was dirty and I cleaned it Your staff were busy and polite at all times It’s just the cleaning needs looking at

We visited with visiting family, ageing from 8 to 90 years, a party of 12. The food and service was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meals that arrived together. Thank you.

We came here approximately 2 months earlier and had the lamb shank which we had in the previous visit but unfortunately it was nothing like the meal we had before, it was a lot smaller with hard mash potatoe and very little vegetables, not worth the asking price.

Husband loves the hunters chicken said its the best whereas I enjoy the gammon steak. I always bookbto make sure I get a table. I fill in the comments box and this has always been actioned. Staff always friendly and when there have been any issues with food, which is rare, we've either been offered a replacement or reduction

I was in a group of about twenty people. We had previously pre ordered our meals, but the service was very slow. I also returned my steak as it was cold! The peas were rock hard, the steak was tough, the tomato had a strange taste. Not enjoyed. The sherry trifle cheesecake, again a disappointment. No real flavour to it. I was given a dessert free of charge due to the steak, but felt the whole meal was disappointing. Not sure if going back would be any better!
