Was a lovely evening with my family. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was great. Leah served us, she was so helpful and kind, was a delight to spend the evening here.

Perfect place for a Sunday Roast. The beef and pork were sublime. Leah was a very sweet and helpful waitress. We’ll be back soon!

Every chair around the table had ripped seat cushions really should had all been thrown out ,every dated paint work and rush out after 2 course but we had booked Mother’s Day 3 course meal

We visited on a Sunday for the roast which was phenomenal and received amazing service from Maisie! She gave great recommendations for the dessert. Highly recommend!!!

Customers were sitting on the chairs covered in mud. I think they had Been running or cycling. They should not be allowed to do that when people are going to sit on those chairs to eat their lunch.

Excellent food great service. Two of our party had the vegetarian roast it was amazing and they both said it was their best roast ever. The rest of us had a selection of the meat roast all to a high standard and lots of gravy. We have been many times before but not to the restaurant. We were all very impressed thank you

Food is great, the outdoor in the summer is phenomenal. The sofas need some urgent updating, we sat in sofas that were ripped with the foam exposed.

9 of us went for dinner for granddad's 91st birthday. The food took ages to come, nothing came at the same time. Food was cold- two meals and a side had to be sent back because they were just too cold which led to some people having finished their meals before others had even received theirs. Nobody checked on us, the table was never cleared and no desserts were offered. Waitress didn't was not helpful at all. Overall awful especially when staff were well aware it was granddad's birthday. One plus is that they took the very late and very cold items off of the bill at the end.

My friends and I had a lovely dinner served by James. He was very attentive and polite and we didn’t at all feel hurried during our meal. It was very cosy in the bar area and quite busy for a Tuesday evening. I will definately return soon.

We had great service by James - he always came promptly when my mum waved to him. Alin made very tasty food and we would definitely come back again.

Went for lunch on Boxing Day. The service and food were excellent as always. A massive thank you to Rebekah who served us and Alin who prepared the food. A lovely time was had by the whole family.

One of the worst meals I’ve ever experienced. Service was friendly but extremely slow/non-existent, they forgot to bring my pudding out entirely and nobody ever around to speak to about it. Ruined my mums 60th birthday meal. Forgot to bring menus, forgot pudding, forgot we were in there it felt like! We ended up paying for food we didn’t even receive and paid a service charge shockingly. As didnt want to complain as well on my mums birthday. Highly recommend going somewhere else for a nice family meal. Staff were friendly enough when they eventually arrived (it wasn’t even busy) . However, one smashed the spoons for pudding down so hard, perhaps her first day? Or untrained..

Pre-dinner drink. Quite expensive, but a nice atmosphere.

Listen @owner I don't want your 'oh I'm so sorry' feedback because this place is unhygienic. Dogs are allowed in the pub and they keep sniffing and yapping while people eat. Do better next time and dont even bother to write a 'oh sorry next time just ask our manager' feedback because no one will ever read it. End of. Staff is rude as well

Brilliant service by James - a real asset to the dining room. Friendly, professional, reliable and ensured that we were looked after. The food is top notch and delicious. Twice served by him on two separate occasions over November and December. He’s absolutely great!

The best roast dinner I think I’ve ever had! Me and my partner got the Duo Beef Roast and my god the serving was ginormous that we struggled to finish it! We also shared a starter of Wild Scallops which were perfectly seared! Would highly recommend! Great quality food and great portion sizes and the staff are very welcoming and Friendly!

Really enjoyed our Christmas celebrations here. Our server, Gina, was very attentive and worked so hard getting us everything we wanted. She made fantastic suggestions of what we may like and couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic!

I came to the pub with a group of friends. We had a wonderful lady called Gina serving us , she was very friendly, helpful and really knowledgeable about the menu. The other staff on were also very nice. The food was excellent and service fantastic .

Was all fine until we needed to change our two babies under 1. We looked in the ladies toilets and there was no changing facilities so we quickly changed our babies on a bench at the back in a part of the pub that was closed. They’re small clean babies with wet not dirty nappies. I can assure you that plenty of your clients trousers are way dirtier than a little baby’s nappy. A guy called James turned the lights on and my first thought was that he was being helpful. He then came out and told us there was changing facilities (completely unsignposted on the other side of the pub to the other toilets and I’d have known that because I’m psychic). He then started shouting at us and making it very clear how disgusted he was at changing a babies nappy and how people eat there (we were changing them on the seat not the table). Considering there’s dogs all over the place - which is something I prefer not to have where I eat - his reaction was very rude and extreme. It’s hard enough going out to eat with small children without this kind of nasty attitude. New mums find things stressful because of men like this. They’re excluded enough from society because of things like this. If James knew how stressful it is to get out the house dressed and keep a baby fed and changed and entertained enough to have a meal and drink with friends while trying to find places to manage the babies needs he’d have a different attitude. God forbid he saw me breastfeeding he would have died. I suggest all families with young children avoid this vile rude man child James and his place of employment. Not a friendly place and it completely ruined our experience. Even if he’d just had some manners and said it nicely it would have been fine but to shout and try to embarrass two young mums is just horrible and nasty. Once we’d finished he started dramatically wiping down the bench seat we changed them on - the seats look like they’ve never been cleaned in their life. I will not ever go back and support such businesses. This will be copied to all local mums groups.

Rob, Chris and team did an excellent, professional job for us when, due to unforeseen circumstances, our booking for 16 turned to a booking for 23 !!! Plenty of parking and clean facilities. Delicious food - nicely presented on hot plates with great taste. A good range on the menu of puds too (excellent if you have a sweet tooth like me 🤣) The team could not have been more helpful or attentive for a sad family get-together thus raising all our spirits.

Excellent service, menu knowledge and food. We had the festive menu and everything was delicious. Doggy friendly. Been coming here 20+ years and seen a lot of changes. Current management is excellent. Would come again.

We had an excellent lunch on Thursday 7th December and five of us all had three courses. The food, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented by Alin and Daniella, and service, from Tom R and Tom L, were first rate and, whilst there were few other diners given the time of day, the atmosphere was such that we felt really comfortable - the heating under the bench seating saw to that! Not cheap but excellent value and we all agreed we shall be going again

Great food made by Alin and Dana, James serving was friendly, and all in all a really nice pub which is very Christmassy this time of year with table crackers and decorations

What happened here? This used to be one of the best pubs in north London..now it’s just a carbon copy of what a large company thinks a pub is. I wish this was all, but the food is bland and generic and the poor staff are obviously underpaid and undertrained. Never again, which is so sad considering the history.

Rushed by the manager throughout our entire visit. We had two hours from 1pm for our booking and were pushed for food as soon as we arrived. We ate and finished eating at 2.15 and declined dessert and wanted to sit and order a few...

The service and the food was very good

We booked for a party of 16 for a Saturday lunchtime for special birthday lunch. We were travelling from various places so needed somewhere local to our elderly relative to eat. We were told we had to be out by 2.00 as there was another party booking, so thought they would be really busy. This did not seem to be the case as the party was in another part. Most disappointing is that the food for our elderly relative came out last and inspite of phoning and specifically explaining the food came out not chopped as needed. When we asked for this to be done it came chopped as one whole thing when we specifically asked for the food to be kept in separate piles so they could choose the mouthfuls like anyone else can with their food. One of our party was feeling unwell and had a child needing to sit away from the main group for while. They were made to feel unwelcome and told to move as this table was booked to someone else, when no one else turned up and the restaurant was pretty empty. The food was ok, portions medium, I felt expensive but then I don't eat out often and not in that area. My fish was mainly batter and a small portion of chips. Our child with additional needs wanted grapes for desert and the only way we could have some was to buy a whole cheeseboard dessert. Basically I felt it was very inflexible and no account was really taken of the special nature of our celebration and the not unrealistic requests of those with particular needs. On the positive side we were refunded the price of the meal that should have been chopped, however that wasn't really the point.

It was a lovely night, great staff etc. the menu is a little repetitive as we go quite often! You could benefit from a “specials” menu and the desserts need to be re vamped in our opinion 😊

Sadly disappointed with our visit. It’s a beautiful venue and was buzzing with life - but the service was very slow. After the initial order we had to try and attract the attention of the waitress each time we had finished a course or needed...

Very average food for prices charged. Rotisserie chicken dry, no salad or veg offered. My fish snd chips were just ok, nothing special. Husband went to the toilets and they were so disgusting and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years, dirty walls and...

Went for Sunday lunch. 4 of us with a dog. Very busy inside, but a nice beer garden. Quick service with the food . Went for the chicken roast that was great- huge Yorkshire pudding about £17. My missus went for the prawn linguine.

Had a lovely meal to celebrate golden wedding with friends. Friendly and welcoming pub manager and staff.

Good food in general. The portions are medium size: the mac and cheese is shocking small for £4 you get 150g🤣 Also, something that is interesting is that they charge you 20% service charge - where from my point of view service is almost absent. Would recommend to find another restaurant where you get a better value for the money.

Amazing beers on offer will be back also food looked amazing but didnt get a chance to eat will be back next time when in the area
