We had a lovely meal. The food was tasty with a good selection for all tastes. Millie and Maisie our servers were delightful. They were really cheerful and friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

We enjoyed our food here and would definitely come back. The interior is lovely and it's so great that it is dog friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful and service very good. I enjoyed the banana blossom "fish" and chips and it was lovely.

A lovely evening spent here. Couldn't fault anything about the venue, warm and welcoming environment, delicious food that arrived quickly. (Our chefs were Alin and Florin) Our server was Margot who couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

Visited cock inn for lunch with my partner, We ordered classic fish and chips and the butter milk chicken burger. The food was great and the Portion size is quite good as well. Wali was there to take our order and recommend drinks and desserts. A fine dine in experience Quality for money!!

Oh my goodness, how charming they were. I took my 96 year old mother in law out for lunch to The Cock Inn yesterday. We were treated like royalty, the front door was opened up for us, as Betty doesn’t move too well. Rob & Keanu waited on us hand and foot, with the kindest of attention to Betty’s every need. Betty was very proud to tell us all that she has been visiting the pub since before the 2nd world war, so she was thrilled to return for a really lovely lunch and being looked after so well made her day extra special. Thank you very much, we will be back soon.

We visited the Cock Inn for Sunday lunch (22nd Sept). The food was all delicious, thank you to the chefs Damien and Alin, everyone had a great meal. Service was excellent, particularly from our servers Keanu and Maisie. The team were very welcoming and attentive throughout. Thank you all for a great experience, we will be back again very soon.

Renovating seemed very depressing dull lighting , door to outside open so draughty my daughter was very cold The only thing I enjoyed was the food but it all seems expensive for what we had

Fabulous food & service. The Pork & Scallops was supberb & the Chipotle chicken as well. We had the mini Deserts with our coffee which were delicious & a great alternative. 100% Happy 🥰 Thank you very much ❤️

The food is poor for the price, the burger was dry, pretty tasteless with thin cheese, large tomato & poor quality bun ( not brioche) little else. It's a shame because it's a lovely venue and the staff are friendly although they don't collect empties or dirty plates. I rarely write reviews but was very disappointed as this place sets itself up to be more about the food, but it is second rate with much better options further down the Cockfosters Road. A lovely beer garden, stick to the drinks and you'll be fine.

If you want to sell the burger 16£ make sure your patty is homemade with fresh mince and not this pressed meat like stone that you served. By far the worst burger ever had. Come on guys!!! You can do better The pizza was really nice ,not heavy at all.

Terrible manager. Waitress fantastic. Awful cooked food. And when we tried to send it back, the manager refused to provide adequate compensation.

Came in for lunch again and had the same waitress as last time, Antonellla. She was lovely and looked after us wonderfully! We had lunch as well as dessert and it was up to the same amazing standard. Will be returning once again after another lovely experience! Thanks.

Good atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, roast dinner was nice. The indoors area is very well maintained, outside could do with some tlc- but the large space is great. Staff were very friendly and plates were cleared quickly despite them being fairly busy.

Lovely visit to this lovely pub near Cockfosters Maisie was great and the Forest Mojito was delicious. Steak sandwich on foccacia also nice and good value

Nipped in after we jumped of the tube for a quick drink, lovely young lady's behind the bar , didn't eat so can't comment on the food , but the place looks lovely 😊

Had a very enjoyable lunch here with the family (just before going off to Pick Your Own at the nearby Parkside Farm). The staff here are friendly and helpful and the food is great. This is a child friendly place, so our grandchildren had a lovely time too.

Service not great as we waited at least 15 mins for drinks order to be taken and then another 10 for drinks to come and had to request jug of water again as it was missing. When we arrived there were only 3 other occupied tables in the restaurant so I don’t know why it took so long. Once food order taken, eventually, we did not have to wait too long for food and my cod and chips was perfect, and the rustic breads are lovely. We did not have dessert, just main meals. Guests had duck noodle salad - enjoyed it, lots of duck, and other guest had sea bass- enjoyed it but she likes fish over cooked as it was well cooked but to her taste. Overall food we had was lovely but service needs addressing (apart from the female who seemed to take over from our waiter and she was quick to sort issues) and was “on the ball” compared to male waiter. We would visit again but not if under time constraints!

I'm so glad we found this pub after Go Ape, it was such a great atmosphere to recover after the 3 hours of rope and tree climbing. Maisie and the team were so lovely and welcoming. The food was superb too, big shout out to Daniella and the chefs. The portions were just right and loved the smaller dessert options. Definitely deserves a 5 star and more, hope to come back at some point.

Received a 2 for 1 complimentary voucher for my birthday and went for the Sunday roast. I had the vegan version so my plate was loaded up with roast potatoes and veg while my friend had a traditional beef roast. Absolutely delicious! Very friendly, helpful staff including Faith who was great. Will definitely be going back.

This is an absolutely amazing place to visit with your buddies over a couple of drinks. The drinks were quite good as well as the staff we were served by a boy named wali who was quite professional. 10/10

Nice pub with lovely bar staff. Love that it's dog-friendly. Good food although for the pork belly and scallops, there's ònly 2 small scallops which was a bit of a let down. The drinks were so good. Beer was served so refreshing and cold, which was very welcome on the warm day. I didn't understand the smart-casual dress code notice on the front door, as most customers looked like they had come from the gym. Most looking quite scruffy to be honest. However.... I was surprised to see we were service charged when we had ordered at the bar. Seemed very sneaky to add on. Hence the low rating. Bit weird to steal from customers like that. I'm completely fine with being service charged for table service but not when we order at the bar and get our own drinks. If we ever go back, which I guess will only happen if we have to go to meet friends for a party etc, we will not set up a tab and make sure to check each bill before paying each time. Edit: Not sure what investigation the company made as my friends went yesterday and were also service charged at the bar. Farcical

The food was creative and there was a wide selection. We went as a large group and they accommodated us well. The toilets are clean and the decor is nice. We brought a birthday cake with us, and there was no cake charge.

We recently visited this pub with a big group of friends, and we had a great time. The food was great—lots of choice which benefitted us as a few of our friends are vegetarians and still had lots to choose from .The service was spot-on, especially our waitress Georgina. She was super friendly and happy to accommodate our dietary needs . We’ll definitely be back!

Visited recently on a whim as not local to the area, will definitely be back. Prawn linguine was fab and service from Georgina was incredible, very chatty and service with a smile was greatly appreciated!

Georgina was an amazing waitress 02/07/24 She handled 13 peoples orders swiftly and efficiently, great job!

We had Sunday Roast beef , beef was a little chewy , but generally it was ok , 2 Sunday Roast one cheese Burger apple juice and one alcoholic drink, everything was 65 gbp it was ok , you can try on Sunday’s.

Avoid on Set Menu days if you have any dietary requirements. Some of the members of our party had lovely meals however the experience was marred by members of our party who could not eat dairy leaving hungry. There were very few dairy free main or dessert options and the staff could not make any adjustments to the available options (despite us offering to pay extra) as they were offering a set menu only. The vegan (dairy free) option available for the goats cheese salad was essentially a small amount of hummus and some vegetables. The goats cheese was just removed despite the price being the same.

Came here a couple of years ago and recall the menu and food being amazing. It sadly was not the same in this occasion. I was a weekend or BH so had lots of families dining. The menu did not give any appetising choice and what we opted for was not available. The restaurant accommodates dogs inside and provided them water dishes. The sound of a huge dog lapping up water behind you then barking as it walked through the restaurant is not comfortable. The restaurant wasn’t the cleanest, a sticky table and grubby cutlery. Staff were friendly and helpful but not enough to encourage us to return sadly.

This place was a very welcome finish to the London Loop section 15 Elstree to Cockfosters walk. The pub is a beautiful, airy building with a large pretty pub garden. Great selection of beers. Food looked great judging by what other patrons were having. Recommend a stroll down to Jack Lake on the way one of the houses on the left was apparently used to interrogate German prisoners of war!

Looked like a nice pub, with a separate restaurant area and a large garden. We went there for dinner, but decided to walk out on our reservation, as they were understaffed and clearly weren’t coping (nobody took our order and the tables around us were complaining). Maybe we just came on a bad day.

Came earlier on Sunday 28th of April 2024. Had a beautiful pub lunch and sticky toffee pudding after watching the Football with my niece and nephew. Was served by a young ginger girl (I unfortunately don’t remember the name) and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and felt cared for. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment and hope to visit again in the near future.

Picture below explains it all. Awful response to a musician offering their services. If this is how they treat potential business partners, I imagine their service, food and business in house would be equally as terrible. While pubs are closing at a record rate and while the hospitality and live music industry is struggling, you’d imagine people would do better but evidently not.

There is a really nice atmosphere in the pub, nice decor. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a good menu with a choice of dishes. We had aubergine lasagne, pizza and child's pizza which we enjoyed. We also had the trio of deserts which we shared them between us.

We had a lovely Easter Sunday lunch here. The food was great and we received great service from Leah, who was super welcoming and friendly to us and our lively spaniel, as well as helpful with my gluten allergy. We always have a really good time and meal in this place!
