Just made a second visit with different adult family members. It is now our major reason to visit King's Lynn. An historic venue. You have to accept it is up stairs. Lovely, friendly staff and attentive service. Food is a treat and freshly cooked/prepared on the premises ! More than just a snack if you wish.

Thanks to Ang and her staff for today’s lovely afternoon tea. A beautiful setting, quaint plates and cutlery all in keeping with what afternoon is and should be about. Six of us for could not fault anything, plenty of delicious sandwiches, warm scones and cakes. And the smell of them cooking is a delight! Highly recommend. Thank you 🙏🏻

Went here with a group of friends yesterday for afternoon tea. The place is layed out nice and I loved the fancy blue China and the silver teapots. My First impression was very good . However, although the food was delicious the whole ambience of the place is let down by the poor service from the staff. Every time that we needed more milk ( as we were given one small jug for 6 people,) we had to wait to find a staff member as they kept disappearing into the kitchen. Not once were we asked if everything was ok and although it wasn't particularly busy in there we felt like we were being a nuisance whenever we asked for anything. It's such a shame because had staff been even slightly attentive i would had given 5 stars . I never like to write a disappointing review, but I just feel that if you're running a place where people come for special occasions or for a special treat every once in a while, then you should be more welcoming and approachable .

Lovely service in a hanseatic house but food wasn’t brilliant to us. The cheese scone was not tasty although it was served warm which was nice. Soup was substantial and coffee was of good quality.

This little place is well worth seeking out. Even though we just wanted drinks, we were made to feel at home. Once we’d seen the scones, we had to try them – and they were superb. The coffee was excellent too. The décor is charming. The atmosphere is relaxed. The service is friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back.

We stumbled on this delightful Tea Room by the riverside in Kings Lynn in 2023 and have returned here five times. Plus recommended to others who we know agree with our assessment. This establishment is truly FIVE STAR! The cleanliness is Striking, the Service annd Staff Exemplary, the attention to detail is microscopic, The Selection of beverages and quality of food is Extraordinary! Well Done Cobbles you hit a very High Bar which guarantees you people will return. Thank You.

On arrival were offered the choice if sitting at a sofa and low table or at a table for four. Couldn't see anywhere to hang coats. Ordered sandwiches and sausage rolls. Not asked whether we had everything we needed. We later realized that there wasn't any mustard or chilli jam. When queried this with staff we were told we should have ordered it. Later ordered cake, staff thought it was to take away. Staff member was on mobile phone and perhaps not giving their full attention to providing a good service. Certainly a lack of smiles or warmth. It was much friendlier in the past. Used the rest room and there were no paper towels or toilet rolls in their dispensers. A toilet roll was placed on the cistern and a roll of kitchen paper hung up near the sink. Hardly in keeping with the High Teas restaurant image they wish to project.

My husband and I enjoyed bacon rolls and coffee. Ladies who run it were very friendly. The cafe deserves more customers.

We visited during a short break to the coast, the staff were very welcoming. The food and coffee was excellent. The only slight disappointment was there was only 1 cinnamon bun to take away so we had to share! Exceptional brunch

We would just like to say a huge 'Thank you' to all the staff who were involved with organizing the reception following our mother's funeral. The food was superb, varied and plentiful and tea and coffee was served all afternoon. The views were beautiful over the golf course and the seating was comfortable and spacious. We particularly liked the screen where we were able to show pictures from our mother's life. A special mention must go to Helen who discretely and professionally took care of us. Thank you. We highly recommend.

Not a great experience unfortunately . Ordered flat white which came as a regular coffee .. asked for poached eggs and got fried eggs . Most of the food was covered in oil and the sausage was pretty much burnt to a crisp. Beans were also cold. Please upgrade to proper butter as the margarine didn’t even melt into the toast. I left most of mine but husband ate his because he was hungry. Had to get to and find our own cutlery and condiments ! Wasn’t particularly cheap either at £10 a breakfast x Sorry for the review but hopefully you will see it as constructive criticism :) Lady serving was lovely but I think she was on her own and probably overwhelmed x

Dirty tables, staff who clearly had never worked behind a bar before, gin and tonic no lemon or lime, run out of branded glasses… really poor, come on it’s not that difficult!
