My wife and I and our two young sons visited this small little place last summer and were pleasantly surprised, good food, nicely priced and lovely owner very helpful. Unfortunately the other patrons in that day seemed to either be on drugs or drink and were loud and swearing in front of my children to which we left without finishing our meal. One man sitting in the window was pointing his phone towards one of my children until I asked him what he thought he was doing. So sad that the staff did nothing about this as it ruined an otherwise perfect day.

My mother had a family get together, and I had suggested that she ordered from Cobblers as I had heard good things. The selection and quality were excellent, all fresh and homemade. Sandwiches has freshly been made, scones and cakes were delicious. Thank you Cobblers for delivering on time and for the help and guidance you gave my mother.

One of the first places we visited upon our return from a visit to USA was Cobblers to take out 2 superb coffees. In all the time we were away we missed such good coffee and the friendly banter from the owner. Clearly lots of locals/visitors are as happy as ouselves who keep going back. We had several friends and relations visiting us earlier this year guess who we got to provide the buffet? Yes Cobblers.

I have used Cobblers before for catering on the morning of my wedding and was blown away by the quality and value for money, but popped in for a hot drink last week and couldn't resist a homemade sausage roll. Cobblers is a Little Gem and worth a visit.

We ordered the catering service for our son’s Christening and to say we were extremely disappointed with both the food and service that we received at the weekend would be a huge understatement! We had arranged for the food to be delivered at 12pm. However, by 12:30 it had still not arrived. We then attempted to contact Cobblers several times with no response. When they did contact us to let us know, it was too late as we were already at the church so we had to rearrange the food delivery for a later time. This inconvenience not only meant that we were late to our own son’s Christening but that we had the embarrassment of having to apologise to our guests that there was no food for them. When the food did arrive, not only was a discount not offered for the problems caused, but items were missing from what we had agreed and paid for. We then helped ourselves to the food only to be further embarrassed by three guests finding long brown hairs in their sandwiches! As you can imagine, we were mortified and had to remove the sandwiches from the buffet and make our own. As for the deserts, we ordered lemon cake (of which there was none), coconut slices (of which there was also none), tiffin (again, none) and caramel shortcake (of which we could not find any caramel. Instead we received some hard, dry bits of bland cake and some hard brown coloured thing, both of which none of our guests could identify. After trying these deserts (with the exception of the shortcake which was only described as soggy) every single guest said the other three were inedible, including the four year old who is always happy to eat anything chocolatey. The food and service were completely unacceptable and we were left feeling extremely disappointed and embarrassed by the whole experience of using Cobblers as caterers for our son’s Christening. We have contacted cobblers to make a complaint, however the excuse they gave was that we “ordered the basic buffet”, as if this makes it ok that pretty much the entire buffet was inedible! We were offered a part refund, however, despite chasing this up three times, we are still waiting two months later!

Was just passing through and fancied a break and stumbled on this little cafe sandwich bar in Barton-Upon-Humber. We had some lovely sandwiches at a good price in lovely surroundings. The cakes looked lovely but not on this visit unfortunately.

I popped in here for a take-away coffee last week and the coffee was so good it’s now my regular Saturday morning treat. The cappuccino was hot enough for me to get home and enjoy it in the garden.

Very good value meals. The cafe serve substantial salads and cater for a gluten free diet. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. The only downside is the lack of toilet facilities but Lidl supermarket is only a few steps away.

This little cafe in the middle of Barton Upon Humber offers its visitors a small but cosy little eating area to sample a varied menu including made to order hot and cold sandwiches and rolls, hot drinks including an excellent hot chocolate, brimming with melting marshmallows and a nice variety of home made cakes and sponges. The appearance of the cafe is a bit tired and it’s tucked down a little side road, opposite Lidl supermarket. There’s not many seats so a lot of what they do is made available on a takeaway. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. We moved here recently, and were made to feel very welcome, we’ve since been back several times with other members of our family.

Had a pie and a coffee which were both ok, not special but very inexpensive. Decent range of sandwiches and snacks available in a pleasant, but very small setting indoors, extra seating outside in covered alley. Seems to have something g of a 'community' cafe with people popping in to speak to staff and exchange phone numbers and share contacts for various things. On that basis a bit noisy for me but felt welcome.

Visited with a friend for a quick lunch. We ordered the soup and waited for ages for it to be served. When it eventually arrived it was like dish water and was served with very stale bread. Needless to say we will not be returning. There are so many much better eaterys in Barton

We love this slightly up market coffee shop and regularly enjoy their lattes. They even sometimes have Molly cake cooked on the establishment. Their Pasties are to die for and the choice of cakes is mind blowing.

Bought a chicken tomato and pesto panini, chicken was nice as it was proper roast chicken from a carcass, not enough pesto and tomatoes were sliced too thick and quite raw still. Oh and the cheese was tasteless catering cheese, also took a long time to make. Bought some chocolate biscotti which was soft and almost stale with no flavour. Biscotti is twice baked to dry it out. This was minging with no chocolate flavour to it and soft. Even dipping it into my coffee wouldn't improve it and it was a pound a piece. Not good. Only reason they get 2 points is because their Mississippi mud pie was amazing. My advice would be to not make so many things and really focus on the quality of your produce and make sure you actually know what it is supposed to be like before you sell it to the public
