Wednesday 12th June were awaiting the departure of our flight from Exeter Airport where this cafe is located in the Departure Lounge. Despite it's best efforts it really does not have a lot going for it. At the time of our visit it was busy and there was insufficient seating available and tables needed cleaning. It does have a licence to sell alcohol, so it was possible to buy tins and bottled beer. So with time to kill, we decided to start our holiday and bought two bottles of beer here, they were £4.50 for small bottles. Like many others having a drink here, we did not purchase food here, we went across the Lounge and purchased a meal deal in W H Smith to take on board the aircraft.

1st class service from the team at coastline. I had an early Sunday flight to Edinburgh so it was great to be greeted with a smile and great service. The coffee was tasty and so were the snacks. Thank you

It was early afternoon Wednesday 5th of July and we visited this cafe which is located in the Departure Lounge at Exeter Airport. At the time of our visit this was the only catering facility open in the Lounge. We found a table, asked behind the counter for a cloth to wipe down the table before we could use it. A number of other tables nearby needed cleaning Once our table was sorted one of us went to the counter to order our food and drinks. We ordered two Flat White which were £3.45 each and two bacon baps £5.00 each. The coffees were prepared and left at the end of the counter to be collected, there was no shout out to say they were ready or who they were for. The baps were delivered to our table, when ready. Although the bacon was tasty however the bread was like cotton wool and not very pleasant. In summary the staff were rather indifferent, not really interested, mediocre coffee, nasty bread and dirty tables, nothing to recommend here.

The young lady serving us didn't tell me and my friend which drink was which. And the toilets aren't up to the health and safety standards. The tap was falling apart and no water was coming out of the tap and no toilet roll! Disgusting! You'd think especially after COVID times everywhere would be much cleaner. Makes you think how clean the place is and the hygiene of the staff making and preparing food and drink.

We here having a few celebratory drinks for a friends birthday and thought we'd try a sharing platter. We had a surf n turf starter... it was fantastic, king prawns in a beautiful creamy sauce, sliced beef steak, sliced tuna steak, seaweed, soda bread and tasty dipping sauce.. OMG.. tasty.. the prawns were big and meaty, the beef steak melted in your mouth whilst the tuna just dissolved.. even the seaweed had great flavour, tasted of the seaI . We truly recommend The Kings Arms, they have a great team in the kitchen, the chef has a passion for what he's doing and he isn't afraid to do new things.. the bar staff are always friendly too..
